This feels like Yue Qi's reincarnation and it feels like he was finally reborn as a prince because he frickin' deserves it!! And it helps that Cheng Yuan is his sidekick here. Hahahaha, so much love for Yue Qi. <33
For the drama, I started watching because it's Yue Qi's second life's drama (LOL) but I found myself giggling like a stupid fangirl by the end of episode 3. It's all light, and a bit cliche, but still enjoyable nonetheless. :)
Pleasantly surprised with the trailer! I thought I won't be comfortable seeing other actors as Yehua, but Yang Yang ////does///// look like he fits the role (except for the height, lol. Mark Chao has this towering masculine effect because of his height and it fits so well for the Yehua character, but I guess that's something I could easily forgo). This is also the first Liu Yifei project I'll be watching and she also looks compatible for the role. Also, it also helps that it's a movie so the CGI effects are definitely way better than the drama. I'm really looking forward to watching this!
Just finished Princess Agents with that said this is the best Drama of 2017 NOT overrated whatsoever if u ask…
To be more accurate, PA started good and was worthy of the high expectations. Just that it went downhill real quick. When I watched the trailer, I expected it to be at par with Ten Miles, which got me disappointed. Ten Miles is still one of the best cdramas I have watched (can't really name it as /the/ best since Sound of the Desert is still my all-time favorite. :))
I started watching the drama because there's Lee Junki and Moon Chaewon in it, lol. Meaning I had zero expectations of the plot. While it isn't my typical kdrama where I get "attached" to the story/characters, I think it has a charm of its own. Since it's a remake, it's trying to follow the format of the original series where there's much less focus on the personal lives of the characters, and more on the cases. But I guess we'll be seeing more of the characters' personal lives soon. One thing I'm still trying to figure out though, is Moon Chaewon's character. I believe she is a vital member of the team, but she is the person who isn't doing much for the time, except for being Kang Kihyung's right hand (w/c I don't understand why she is his right hand). Hope to see more of her soon.
After watching the ending of Princess Agents I am totally heartbroken, disappointed, betrayed and outraged! How…
There's high probability of a second season, but if it would still be the same cast, that we're not so sure of. And Princess Agents with a different set of actors won't be the same.
for newer commenters, someone translated the book version of the frozen lake scene: https://darkstarlights.wordpress.com/2017/08/01/frozen-lake-scene/…
You should probably create a discussion thread above, with this link. So it wouldn't get buried by the upcoming rants of those who are yet to watch the ending. ;) :))

"Princess Agents will go down in history of Chinese dramas as the dumbest and most stupid drama of all time!!!!!!" As much as I wish I could disagree, I can't. And it breaks my heart all the more, since the cast did great, and I've come to care for the characters themselves. Pity that even if the cast did their parts well and no matter how popular the drama has become, at the end of the day, this wouldn't be one of those pieces that the actors would be proud of. And it's heartbreaking because they deserved a looooot better than this. :(
So was she ever in love with Yun Xun? Or was she subconsciously in love with yu wen tie the whole time?
Based on Yanxun and Chu Qiao's last conversation in the drama, it seemed like she did love Yanxun after all. She loved him because they shared the same beliefs and dreams. All of that changed when she realized Yanxun is no longer the same person she has grown to love. As her feelings wavered and her distrust of Yanxun grew, she slowly realized and saw how it was Yuwen Yue who shared the same ambition as her: to actually seek for reform, not as a form of revenge whatsoever, but because he actually cared for the people and longed for peace. Yanxun planning to kill Yuwen Yue in an unfair manner was the final string for Chu Qiao. Yanxun, albeit hateful, fought fairly and still had the decency to do so, until he ambushed Yuwen Yue. Maybe that was the time Chu Qiao finally got the picture that Yanxun has lost all the decency, even as a military man.
Yanxun, on the other hand, finally made up his mind to get rid of his feelings for Chu Qiao, believing that Chu Qiao didn't love the real him. As his final lines in the drama indicated, he was always that kind of person. It's just that Chu Qiao saw him differently, and he felt that she did not come to accept the real him. Thus the little self-control he had for Chu Qiao's sake vanished, and made his conviction to kill Yuwen Yue stronger.
The writers and director could have easily ended the last episode with an epilogue of Zing'er and Yuwen Yue…
Totally agree with this. If they were going to insist on a cliffhanger, Chu Qiao seeing Yuwen Yue at the festival would have at least been a better option. And yes, I hope english translation of the novel would be released too, either fanmade or official. I've read an excerpt of the novel, the translation of the book version of the drama's finale, and it was thousand times better. :(
someone translated the frozen lake scene (from how it is in the book I think): https://darkstarlights.wordpress.com/2017/08/01/frozen-lake-scene/
Thank heavens for this! I've read the translation, and it's really good! Breaks my heart, but in a good way. Anticipating her translation of the other parts.
The last episode would have been really good... IF ONLY IT WASN'T THE FINALE. They should've pulled that trick out 10 or 20 episodes ago!! Not during the end??!! The production is definitely aiming for a sequel. Well, if they release a movie sequel to ///actually/// wrap things up with still the same set of actors, I might forgive. But if I'd be seeing different faces for the same characters, I'm definitely out.

I always wanted to ask who saved Yuwen Yue in the books if Chu Qiao didn't know he was alive until two years. But but.... :"""""""( This makes Yue Qi's death all the more depressing. :( But we could still save that teeny bitsy hope that they both aren't dead yet? :"""( Though I did read in the comments section of one website that Yuwen Yue actually died. Here's to hoping they're definitely wrong. :(
I actually thought Chun'er would cause something big and turn things around, hence the Main Role category. But she had the most useless stints in the drama, IMO. I love Lin Qin's portrayal, but the character is so.... superficial. Lol. Like the character was created for the sole reason of creating chaos and angst, but they all feel too artificial. Chun'er was always a spoiled brat, but I always thought she was smarter than what everyone thought her to be. Until she had this bratty rampage, and that's when I lost it for her character. I thought her most depressing scene would turn her into a smart, scheming princess. But it just reduced her into an angry and impulsive brat.
Alright yall...here's the summary of YWY's proposal to Xinger you've been asking about...get ready…
*gasps* This got me all the more frustrated with the drama! If the book has this much of good material, why does it stubbornly insist on sticking with the depressing events??
Anyone wanna bet that CQ's magical ice kungfu is gonna deus ex machina its way to a happy ending?
@GrnGrnTmt I was into the theory that Chu Qiao's Ice Kung Fu is going to save our man back to life, but I totally forgot how bad he is in cold environments!!!!! But here's to hoping that Chu Qiao eventually cures him from all of that! Ironic though how Yuwen Yue got severely affected by the cold in Zao Baocang's lair, but unaffected in the ice lake? Lol. Or maybe it's safe to say that he was actually just enduring the cold in the ice lake to meet up with Chu Qiao? Though I'm kinda disappointed now that she forgot Yuwen Yue's condition, or else she would've offered for them to talk somewhere else. :(
It's really entertaining to read all the discussions in the comments since the drama leaves much to our imagination, with just a few episodes left. The drama was honestly really good until a certain point. I'm just watching the rest of it for the hope that Chu Qiao and Yuwen Yue gets that rest they deserve (didn't feel fully sympathetic with Chu Qiao's character until her conversation with Yuwen Yue in the ice lake, and how she broke down and finally admitted thay she was tired). While Yuwen Yue's character was reduced into a two-dimensional Chu Qiao protector, I still can't bring myself to complain since I'm a sucker for romance storylines so I'm definitely enjoying his knight-in-shining-armor stints, though it definitely wouldn't hurt if the show gave him more substance. But I guess we're too far into the show to even hope for that. I just hope the people who deserve a happy ending, actually gets a happy ending.
