I had Park Jaejung's Not Gonna Wait downloaded on my phone (I didn't even remember haha) so when it played, I got all nostalgic and I suddenly missed these two. I guess I'll just watch Fiery Priest to get my Kim Namgil fix, but I hope he gets into another rom-com again soon.
I keep visiting his page here on MDL to check for updates, whether he has taken a new movie or drama. Yup, definitely a So Jisub trash. I just hope he finds a good material real soon and comes back already. ;~~;
Watched this drama for the second time after two years (only because I saw my previous comment here, lol) and it still is one of my favorites. Even more so now that I've become a big Kim Jiwon fan already. It might be far fetched but I hope these two could reunite in another drama or a movie in the future, when Kim Jiwon is a little bit more mature so her age gap from So Jisub wouldn't bother me anymore. But I'm still happy I got to see my two favorites in one happy short project. :)
Love this show, too! The first episode left a bad taste for me, as well, with all rom-com cliché elements present and the comedy being over the top. Good thing I tried to stick around with episode 2, because it kinda turned things around already. Turns out the drama was being intentionally cliché, but the dynamics between the characters were rather refreshing and they were just really endearing. Probably because rather than the usual character development trope which happens as a drama progresses, the first 2-4 episodes concentrated on letting the viewers really know the lead characters and understand that the two of them aren't really what they seem to be. Oh Yunseo is not the usual shallow, clumsy, stupid female lead, and Kwon Jungrok is not the usual cold-hearted, ill-mannered, arrogant male lead. The drama allows us to follow the thought process of both characters hence we understand where both characters are coming from. Makes me realize that we tend to judge people based on our biases and misunderstand those who fall short of our expectations. But if only we gave people a chance, we might realize that there is more to that person than just his/her first impression. And that we must always be kind because we don't really know what other people went through. I could go on and on about this drama but let me end it with, I just really love how this show has a heart.
One thing I'm just really wary about is the story about Kim Sewon and Yoo Yeoreum. We're 6 episodes in and I still don't know what the drama plans to do with them. I hope it won't be as random as the dark childhood history with WWWSK (though I'm basing this purely from reviews because I dropped WWWSK after episode 1, but primarily because I am still hung up on Park Seojun as the country bumpkin simpleton in FFMW that I couldn't stand him being the narcissistic CEO. I'm blabbering again, bye!)
Is this really a good watch? I dropped Legend of Fu Yao at episode 56 because I felt like it was too long already. I realized I don't have patience to stay for like 60 episodes for just one drama. But I have read several good reviews about this so I'm kinda thinking if I would be missing out on a lot if I miss this one.
I officially conclude that this drama is a Grim Reaper & Sunny fanfiction. T___T They're two of the moooooost adorable characters ever! And I love how we actually get to see, and more importantly, understand how the main couple developed feelings for each other; why two people with bad first impressions started to see each other differently. I don't know why, but you just feel it??? Probably because Kwon Jungrok and Oh Yunseo are just really sincere and earnest people (props to Lee Dongwook and Yoo Inna for owning up the characters). I was trying to think about the reason why the drama was titled Touch Your Heart and now I see why. There's really nothing mind-boggling about the plot and it doesn't even have a core issue. Even the case which I thought would take episodes to finish got resolved in, like, 2 episodes. So I guess more than having a specific issue to tackle, the drama is just really taking us on our sailing Lee Dongwook- Yoo Inna ship. And I'm loving it!
PS: Jerk male lead should definitely be removed from the tags. He is absolutely not a jerk. Not even the slightest bit.
Update: So jerk male lead was already removed from the tags. Thank you! :))

I also don't watch reality shows, but I watched the Running Man episode where she and Jin Goo were guests just because the two of them were there. :))
She did play the bossy best friend to a very timid Dongman. ;) But I also liked her playing the calm character in One Sunny Day with So Jisub. I like her in everything, I guess? Hahaha!
Love your comment so much! Feels great to see other people appreciate her more, since she deserves the whole world.…
Omg, your icon!!! Another reason why I love her so much is her quirky facial expressions and mannerisms. The mannerisms actually helps the characters she plays come to life. ;____;
And thank you for this article! Someone definitely had to write this stalker guide and you did Kim Jiwon justice. :) And yesss, she does deserve the world, so I'm happy seeing her slowly become one of the best actresses of her generation. <3
She has a very bossy charm around her.. in a good way. I can’t imagine her as a dumb Fl. She looks like someone…
Agree on her having this bossy charm! Well, all the roles she has played are actually strong characters (e.g. Yoo Rachel, Choi Aera). She definitely has this confident, on-screen presence. Which is kind of weird because she's totally sweet and down-to-earth on her variety show guestings and interviews.
(I'm on a Kim Jiwon appreciation season so I can't help but gush over her)
Omg I was just fangirling over her this past week!! Been listening to her sing and I wonder why she doesn't get offered to sing much OSTs for her dramas. I watched Fight for My Way because of Park Seojun, but I ended up being a big fan of Kim Jiwon. I wasn't really into DotS previously but I also ended up watching the whole thing just because I wanted to watch her and Jin Goo together. Also ended up watching her interviews and TV guestings (even her acceptance speeches, lol) and she's just really really adorable.
Love this girl to bits! Definitely looking forward to Chronicles of Asadal, and her other future projects. Her career is definitely starting to build up (which she very much deserves) and I'm proud she is now able to have her own dramas and didn't get stuck with the supporting roles.
For the multiple names, aside from characters having hidden or multiple identities, I believe it's because they're…
Just wanted to correct or add on to the -er thing. I think it signifies favor more than anything. When parents call their favorite children the last syllable+er, or when kings call certain concubines with -er, it normally shows that they're more favored than the others. But again, this is like entirely out of context so correct me if I'm wrong.
For the multiple names, aside from characters having hidden or multiple identities, I believe it's because they're fond of giving people nicknames. I'm not entirely sure and I'm basing this purely out of context, but it's normally family members or really close friends or the character's pair, who puts -er in the last character of the name, as a sign of endearment. This signifies intimacy or close relationship. Another one is when they put "Xiao" + a thing that describes the character. This is more like a pet name, like little riceball (I suddenly miss TMOPB). Then some just repeat the last character of the name, which also serves as the character's nickname.
Oh and one of my jokes is that you can usually tell how good a Chinese drama is going to be based on the wigs!…
Definitely agree with the wig theory! But thankfully, I figured this out after I watched Bubu Jingxin so I'm happy I didn't miss that one out despite the hair (or the lack thereof).
Wow, the set looks good! And this doesn't really seem like a sageuk drama? It has more of a tribal feel, which is actually rare in kdrama. I'm even more excited for this, especially since the Joongki here seems like the Werewolf Boy Joongki (my favorite kind of joongki since he's not using the "pretty boy" card).
Gave this show a try when it was still airing but somehow, I couldn't get past the first 4 episodes because I just couldn't connect with the story, especially with Song Hyekyo's acting (and because deep in my heart, I shipped Joongki with Chaewon since Innocent Man). But years after, I find myself catching up because I turned into a Kim Jiwon fan and she's extra adorable in this. Didn't want to miss out on the context so I just decided to watch everything altogether. It's a fun watch, but 12 episodes in, and I still haven't changed my opinion on the main couple (even though they got married in real life, lol). I'm just hoping that Kim Jiwon and Jin Goo gets their own drama, too, like how Grim Reaper and Sunny now have theirs. Though Joongki and Jiwon's reunion made it into drama-land first, I'm still hoping to get that Jingoo-Jiwon reunion.
I planned to drop this drama after watching the first episode because I thought it was trying too hard to be funny and I didn't feel a connection with the characters at all. But the second episode was much better. Still a cliché, but it's starting to be a fun watch. It feels like the drama was specifically made for Lee Dongwook and Yoo Inna, they match their characters well. And if I didn't have a crush on Lee Dongwook before, I surely do now. God, he is gorgeous.
