C-dramas really have the tendency to get overly dramatic, and this isn't an exception (episode 1 was kind of full of XC's tantrums lol) but here's to hoping it simmers down once we get to the fluffy parts. Which brings me... the ending credits!!!!! It looks drama's going to have a lot of fluff!!!!! And they look so cute tgt istg! I kind of love it already :((( XD
Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even expecting anything much from this lol! I just hope they won't drag the angst too much and just be the fluffy romcom this world needs ;_____;
Binge-watched the show in 2 days. Watched it because it won the daesang in Baeksang 2020, but wow, I did not expect myself to get hooked. I loved it! Nam Goongmin's acting was on point, so I'm going to binge-watch Chief Kim now.
It got too frustrating in the middle so I was about to drop it mid-episode 14, but somehow I'm kinda happy I sticked around. It attempted to be that progressive drama, and it was, to some extent. But I think it still ended up as one of the stereotypical kdramas. Not sure why tho, but it seemed like they made the shoots too conservative. Like the main couple wouldn't kiss unless it was super important to the storyline. Lol. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the last two episodes. :)
Jaeyoung proves that a character in a drama doesn't have to be textbook evil to be shitty. He's frustratingly shitty and selfish it's honestly a pain to watch. And I'm annoyed because the writer might think Jaeyoung's character is a compelling second lead but tbh he's just entirely unnecessary to the story. Even if you delete his character, the story still would have progressed, maybe even better than how it is now.
Also, I love Yisang but I hate how he's baby-ing Hari most of the time. I get that he loves her so much (and maybe some people do show affection the way he does?) but I want to see them act like adults... but I hope they do end up happy huhu
Shin Ha Gyun and Jung So Min, I love them both so much. Age gap does not bother me because both are adults in…
I think the drama is trying to rid of the stigma against mental illness though. If you could see, the second episode showed how Woojoo attending therapy sessions was used against her and got her fired. In which part did you think the drama did poorly? (I am asking entirely out of curiosity since I really want to know. I am not angry, or anything hehe).
I deleted my comment because it seems that I'm the only person in the planet who does not like this film and it…
And here I am feeling the same thing, lol. I think the cast was impressive but the movie just made me feel uncomfortable all over so I really couldn't comprehend much (probably because I am not a fan of the genre in general). I can't fully appreciate the movie in its entirety as much as everyone did and I just feel dumb. But I'm trying to educate myself to see the points I missed out and maybe see the movie in a different light, apart from the squirmy feeling it made me feel.
Whew, the chemistry between the leads gets me every frickin time. There was this scene in Episode 5 where I thought the moment couldn't be more perfect then the OST was laid and it couldn't be more magical. Lol, I'm not sure if I am exaggerating (esp since the scene was cliché, really) but I honestly felt butterflies in my stomach and that's all that matters to me.
On a more serious note, I am loving this drama so far and I understand that they're laying down the ground work for a more natural development of affection between the main leads, but I hope they get on with the story in the next one or two episodes. Otherwise, it's going to get draggy. I honestly need to see the progress on Junghyuk's personal matters, and I want Seri to be back in Seoul and fight back against her siblings and their wives. So far, her character is wonderfully written but a few more episodes longer that she's in NK, she will just be Junghyuk's damsel in distress and eventually, his weakness. Which would be a waste after they built her character with sass and strength.
I am loving the dynamics between the leads. I'm kinda hoping that it doesn't take too long before they get together. The drama is hinting on a lot of conflicts so I'm counting on the romance to keep things balanced.
And I think it's worth mentioning how much I love the Jeonghyuk's accidental minions-slash-partners-in-crime and their scenes with Seri. :))
Weird how I woke up this morning feeling sad because there won't be new Nokdu episodes anymore. :( Didn't realize how much this drama grew on me until it actually ended.
Literally just finished watching the movie, and I can't believe I'm saying this but it was actually a good watch. Midway through, I was having doubts since there was nothing special even after its 1 hour mark (though the chemistry was definitely there). The conflicts weren't as compelling. But later on, I realized that their issues might've looked petty from a third person POV, but it must have meant more than that to them. So I let it go and just enjoyed the few remaining minutes. Besides, they looked so good together I just wanted them to just get over themselves already. Or maybe the last part redeemed the movie for me 'coz they used my all-time favorite song, lol.
I am loving everything about this drama! I'm surprised with how well-paced everything is. I always thought all dramas have one thing or two that they'll be dragging out to achieve minimum number of episodes, but it seems like the writers are doing a great job here. Plus the attention to details and how everything is connected with each other really amazes me. I really really hope that the show has so much more up its sleeves. This is by far becoming one of my all-time favorites. <3
This is the first Thai drama I've watched and nothing about it was really wow or new, but I really thoroughly enjoyed it! Love the chemistry between the leads, and Moji is so cute (even tho she barely had lines haha). Can anyone recommend another Thai drama with the same vibe? Rom-com-ish, but not too immature wahaha

PS: Jang Dongyoon's glow up is god-level
