And maybe if they didn't keep separating the kid from his mother, he wouldn't cry? He's been the more mature one compared to his father, so he should be allowed to cry after being separated from the princess, or the possibility the princess might be in danger, or that his parents are arguing. Before the princess showed up he probably rarely cried. What's a "kid from this time period" supposed to be like? always stoic and tough because life is harsh so kids arent allowed to be kids? you think all kids were like that back then?

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the chemistry. I think you simply don't see chemistry between their characters because you don't like their characters themselves.

Yes, when she wanted to commit suicide for the sake of others, she was mentally weak. But now? When she wants to live for herself? When she wants to help provide the family even though Bawu tells her she doesn't have to resort to washing dishes? When she pushed through helping the sick people even if it meant recklessly scamming rich nobles?

And what do you mean by "having a difficult time not allowing their emotions to control them"? Example? Are you saying they both allow their emotions to control them? What's wrong with that? So their actions stem from their emotions. But not all. Princess figured out she's a political pawn and concluded she had to fake her death so there wouldn't be bloodshed. Bawu figured out that trusting Daeyeop only might not be a good idea, so he acted himself. Daeyeop on the other hand, the majority of his decisions are because he's desperate wanting the princess back yet also still wanting to keep in his father's favor. Not really thinking with his head.

Usually I don't understand palace politics but in Bossam it's fairly easy to follow.

But still, the heart of Bossam is undoubtedly the pseudo-family consisting of Bawu x Sookyung x Chadol x Chunbae x Lady Jo. They're very healing, and they show us a different side of historical dramas, a bit of slice-of-life focused on commoner people.

Brother-in-law knows his father wants Sookyung dead yet he still believes his father should be pardoned. So far, every mistake he does, there doesn't seem to be any silver linings, where as Bawu quickly makes up for his wrong, impulsive decisions. How is Brother-in-law more rational than Bawu? Both of them are impulsive, reckless but at least Bawu's efforts have good results. Daeyeop made a deal with the king not realizing the king could possibly betray him.

I'm still waiting for Daeyeop's development because Yuri/Jung Ilwoo said the main three characters start off on the wrong foot but eventually they become friends. Basically he has room to grow but it's taking a while because it's his family we're talking about. He gave up running away with the princess out of filial duty.

Bossam broke their own record and reached 7.7% for episode 8! I think it's obvious viewers are craving for the romance. The ratings dropped to 5.8% for episode 7 and increased a lot on episode 8 where Bau saves Sookyung and they hug for the first time.

He's a brilliant actor but his character is in need of serious development rn. I don't think he'll become an antagonist. In the press conference, Jung Il-woo/Yuri mentions that even tho the three of them start off badly, their triangular relationship turns to be a good one. I think they'll become friends.

I think the romance will have more spotlight after episode 8, before that they were very subtle about it. I hope you continue!

im not really sure what your main problem is with the princess. she IS struggling? just because she's not being a spoiled brat doesn't mean she isn't struggling. she literally attempted suicide, what more struggle do you want to see from her?

Bossam Ep 5 breaks their personal record again and reached 6.3%! Peak rating was up to 7.8%! I was so prepared for it to drop because of tight competition like Taxi Driver, Mine and Undercover but Bossam held on!

me too they bicker like an old married couple! and even though they upset each other, they eventually find common ground which assures me. Ah seriously, if they don't get married I'm definitely lowering my rating for this drama.

It's a bit conflicting. One moment I'm annoyed at his words but then he kinda quickly tries to make up for it? But I suppose no one really changes their grumpy behavior in the short time they meet. I'm looking forward to his character development, which will probably happen once he falls for the princess.

Yess their chemistry is fire even though the romance is flowing naturally and subtly (for now). I like it when I can't tell if the characters have started to like each other or not. For sure, Bawoo has started to care about Sookyung seeing as he was worried when she didn't come home yet. But at the same time, I can't tell for sure if he likes her yet. And Sookyung, well she can't really fall for him just yet since he just can't seem to say nice things rip

Yeah usually once you're royalty, people will refer you to your royal name. In Sookyung's case, most will call her Hwa In. I'm waiting for a character (Bawoo specifically) to call her by her real name, I think it'd be a touching scene. But in episode 4 is the first time he refers to her by something and it's just "Ongju" which kinda disappoints me a little. But it's also realistic. Even if he doesn't see her as a princess, if he calls her by her name that would imply that they're close so tsundere!Bawoo can't have that lmao
