Same. I feel like with the raws, if you watched enough Jdrama or anime or whatever with a lot of Japanese, the super basic words or statements you can make out and understand the gist of the conversations.
Really wondering here how I only just now noticed this in the ending song after rewatching for so many times.…
I thought they were both holding hands too but then it's only Kurosawa who brings his hand back. It looks like he was waiting but Akaso really couldn't be bothered to stay in character lolol But seriously I wonder if it's supposed to be like that or did Akaso forget to hold hands or did Machida do an ad-lib without consulting Akaso? Or what. But personally I find it a little funny. Both because it doesn't look planned but it also works well with Adachi's personality. Doubt the guy would be brave enough to hold hands in public.
So Google says Machida's height is 181 cm (5'11) and Akaso's is 178 cm (5'10). But in the drama it looks like there's at least 7 cm between them at times. So is Google wrong or is someone wearing insoles? lol the almost kiss scene in ep 3 gets me the most because I keep imagining Akaso bending his knees or Machida tiptoeing to create that height difference.
Important!!! Soon we will stay without english Sub, all sub next month will be delayed because IrozukuSubs moving…
welp, time to start an account on Duolingo and learn some japanese lol edit: well I just learned ichi, ni, san, yon and how to write them. I have now mastered Japanese. edit 2: Was supposed to be learning Japanese but got sidetracked onto Chinese instead. Dui bu qi I betrayed you Cherry Magic lolol I'm bored, sorry guys
so i've seen people talk about the chopstick scene, but what does it imply/mean exactly? lol was there something…
oohhh that part? lol i'm thinking too narrow. i thought something was wrong with the chopsticks themselves, like being broken or having different chopsticks as a pair. but yeah, even then i just thought it's normal/part of the act that Machida did that. I guess it wasn't? ad-lib? idk. plus I was thinking i also do that, lick the chopsticks after dipping/touching it on food so it's normal for me to see Machida do that. I didn't even consider the implications that come along with it.
The latest magazine interview with Akaso Eiji, this baby is so damn cute :) Just use Google translate, it should…
so i've seen people talk about the chopstick scene, but what does it imply/mean exactly? lol was there something wrong with Kurosawa or Adachi's chopsticks in ep 2? I didn't notice anything jarring.
Thanks for the article! Akaso mentioned kabe-don? which episode it is??
Oh yeahhhh, that was pretty much a kabedon lolol. Albeit accidentally one. I was thinking of a more classic kabedon where the girl/person trapped, is trying to run away from a confrontation, and the guy/trapper stops them by slamming his hand to the wall. The elevator scene happened so quickly without that classic context so I kinda missed it as a kabedon. But yeah, if that's the kabedon they're referring to then that makes sense.
okay i'm joking. but seriously. somehow this drama just feels flat. idk. im gonna sound like a parrot repeating after almost everyone but why is the brothership more interesting than the romantic relationship. i just don't feel it between Yeon and Jiah.
I haven't watched Build yet, but it looks like you didn't get the idea of Kamen Rider or tokusatsu in general.…
I'm rereading my comment and remembering the first episode. Thanks for notifying me to come over and having a good laugh at the memory of that cringey transformation.

Yep, no problem! I was also wondering the same thing about the kabedon. So far, we haven't seen any solid kabedon yet. Maybe it's in the unreleased upcoming episodes?

I am glad that cherry magic is popular among us international fans but also upset that its not even as famous…
Yeah i get what you mean. Really been enjoying the peaceful comment section lol. However, i do wanna add that I think this isnt as popular/famous cuz it's technically not international fan friendly? So i mainly watch thai bl, so ill speak only on that and ignore the other countries. although they may be low budget or whatever, they know how to promote their stuff to international fans by providing official English subtitles.
Furthermore, the fan subbers are also more actively providing content on youtube for fans to watch. Others like official Behind the scenes, interviews. Things actors do like fanservice (not a fan of this personally, but lots of bl fans tend to love these. It could be a cultural thing so, i wont count this against Japanese actors), attending tv shows as guests etc. This may not directly make them famous per se, but they're branching out to different media will also garner more people wondering who they are and which drama/series they came from.
As far as Cherry Magic goes promotional wise, i dont see a lot going around - at least, not readily available to international fans. If i didnt accidentally find a fanmade trailer esque video recommended in another bl i was watching on Youtube, id never have known this series existed unless i intentionally look for more bl to watch. Japan just didnt promote this well and i dont think they even care? Lol. Theres no way this will become famous if the country themselves dont even promote their show internationally. You know? Just my thoughts. I feel like for the minimal promotion it gave, it still did pretty well so the series is a winner for me. Edit: well maybe for active BL watchers this series reached y'all easily so perhaps it doesnt matter if promotion was good or bad? But im thinking for some people like me who arent actively watching BL content, i would consider this not promoted well cuz i really had no clue this existed until that accidental encounter.
edit: well I just learned ichi, ni, san, yon and how to write them. I have now mastered Japanese.

no but on a serious note. im curious to see how it plays out in a comedy.
