Some Fujoshis will be happy bere because of the age gap and height gap....... Wipe your nose
there's an age gap? now that you mentioned, do we know Kurosawa's age? tbh i just assumed they're close in age.
nvm just got it. this is about tsuge and delivery kid?

Adachi you lucky boy that Kurosawa is willing to kiss you without you applying (Visée×ViVi) lipstick! hahahahahahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxVSVJuEaf4
The point is to get kissable lips, right? So where is the kiss? lol. I know it's an ad, but don't play me like that. I half expected a small peck at the end there.

If you want to add the rating, you need reference (proof) to prove it's true.
Oh no, I didn't post the comment because I wanted to add the rating. I don't even know the rating, I just think it could be rated G because the drama is so wholesome. Ultimately, I'm curious what are the reasons why there's no information regarding the rating floating around on the internet. I've tried looking but found none.

So I wanted to change Machida's picture here with the one of pictures from LineTv live he had with deep squad…
You gotta wait 30 more years to change Machida's pic. These asians won't age until they've reached 60.

Before anyone @ me for the joke, hi I'm asian. My 40-ish year old mom still gets mistaken as my older sister, and my 26 year old older sister looks like she still attends middle school. Bye lol

I just wanna say i love how wholesome the comment section is and that there's no top/buttom discourse going on
wholesome content = wholesome thoughts lol. i feel like more discourse on that topic would be available on twitter or tumblr. idk i just feel that's where those conversations would be at

Am I right to think that the reason Kurosawa looks so sad during the day of his confession is because he has decided…
yep that's what i got. although he was opportunistic about making adachi fall for him bit by bit, at this point he's just bursted. his plan was stopped short so there's no way he expects it to go well after the confession.

the number of people who can sub this drama's content i can count on my one hand lol. some already made themselves…
totally agree with you there, especially the bit about anime. but whoops, i mean the japanes bl corner lol more specifically content outside of the drama (like interviews, talk shows, etc). i dont watch much jdrama but i can tell there definitely are plenty of subbers. just not particularly concentrated in the bl corner. take for example His 2020. It's been months since the movie aired. I've seen tons of interviews but none with subs. The movie has subs, but not the stuff outside of the drama.

Is there any site/acc who translates their interviews? I read a few things on twitter about their interviews like:…
the number of people who can sub this drama's content i can count on my one hand lol. some already made themselves known in this comment section but it truly surprises me how so few there are. and most are just regular fans, they're not dedicating the time to sub content. the japanese corner has limited subbers, it seems.

He truly is pretty good. That is why Akaso Eiji's acting looks even more mediocre.
LOOOOOL girl you're completely drunk. Get some water, sober up.

jokes aside, I get what you mean though o.o i've been on the hunt for machida content for the past few days and I am scared of what I have become.

I'm looking forward to seeing him in Alice in Borderland. Based on the trailer, his character is very expressive…
ahhh okay. Yeah this type of genre might not be for everyone. also I just looked at his account and found a video. dont know if it's the same one but yeah, it doesn't even show him in it lol

Also I think AIB was filmed before Cherry Magic, assuming CM was filmed at the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020? Anyone correct me if I'm wrong. It's just I saw an IG live post 1 year ago in 2019 and Machida had the same hairstyle as he did in AIB.

I hate to admit it but.......I agree. Personally, I think Machida is the better actor out of the two. Just by a sliver though, because I think Adachi's character is so hard to portray, so Akaso is doing pretty great.

Title His Spoiler
So......I’m rewatching this movie.
I didn't watch the prequel. I searched up 'His' on a random drama website and clicked on the first 'His' I saw, making this 'His' my first 'His'. Since I don't have that pre-exposure to the characters and how they were developed in the prequel, I have no prior knowledge to judge this movie as a sequel. Therefore, I will comment on this movie as a standalone.

In my opinion, this movie was great. We don't know much about them as teens, but you get the gist that they were close and they were in love, until Nagisa decided he was a coward and broke up with Shun to fulfill his position as a normal person in society. He regrets his decision because he truly does love Shun and Shun still loves him, easily forgiving him despite having been hurt. But that's really all you need to know because this movie doesn't really focus on their relationship, but on the relationships: with the daughter, with the wife, and with the community. It's beyond just two gay guys seeking to understand each other, it's two gay guys seeking to understand the world around them and what makes them okay as a couple.

I'm not gonna harp on Nagisa's character. We all know he's an ass for hurting Shun. But we also all know how scary it is to live as a gay man, so it cancels out. I can't be out here shaming Nagisa for making the decisions when I already know how hard gay folks lives are. Who knows what was going on in his head when he made the decision. How hard it was to make the decision. He clearly regrets so let's just move on to the next point.

There's a deep emphasis on acceptance as a homosexual in the modern Japanese society. And I thought it was dealt with well, seeing how Rena changes her ways as a mother, and how Nagisa and Shun now have confidence as a couple, in a town that accepts them. I really liked when Shun can openly say he’s gay. Having Nagisa ditch him and return with a kid, must’ve caused him to want to hide even more. So his ability to come out of the closet to the people he once feared would shun him, was moving.

Nagisa and Shun’s relationship with Sora was very cute. Shun was able to open up to Sora’s open-mindedness as time went on, really showing how attached he's become to her since the beginning when he was adamant about not wanting to help Nagisa raise her.

I think finally Rena’s change was well done. Not only was she betrayed by the man she loved, she also finds out he’s gay. Of course I can understand her pain. But she was also able to change her ways and become a better mother and in the process also accept her ex-husband. This sort of change can't have been easy. But it was shown well through both the court scenes and the aftermath when she finally learns that her conservative lifestyle just won't be enough to fulfill her daughter's needs. Her ditching her lifestyle to accommodate Sora's living style shows she's willing to change as a mother. The scene where she meets with her mom at the cafe was very significant imo. The mom is telling her she can't spoil Sora then in the same breath judges a gay couple. The way Rena looks at her is very telling. She looked displeased. At that very moment, Rena probably realized how wrong her mom was this whole time and it just isn't gonna work following her lead, especially seeing how Sora is having problems socializing, when in reality, she's very friendly with people.

One character that I really liked was the old man neighbor. He doesn't pry too much into Shun's life but he's silently supportive. He gives off a fatherly vibe, telling his son it's fine to be gay and stuff. I really appreciate his character because he was clearly the only one in the town that has gotten close enough to Shun. So his words must mean a lot for Shun at the time of uncertainty.

Overall, I appreciated this movie the second time around because I caught more things I missed the first time that really makes this film great. I can’t say the same for people who have seen the prequel and had certain expectations. Maybe if you think of this movie as a standalone, you’d see it in a different perspective? Idk.

SIDE NOTE: Miyazawa is HAWT. The first time I watched this, I wasn't really paying attention. Just thought damn, I watched the sequel and not the prequel, am I gonna get any of this (good thing ya don't need the prequel). But I did notice this dude's eye color was a nice shade of light brown. It really pops in the movie. So I did a little research after finishing the movie and BOOM, Model, speaks English, 6 fucking feet. Like damn, you kinda the whole package.

SIDE SIDE NOTE: Truly I came back to rewatch this because I saw the cast interviews. and Fujiwara and Sotomura's real life relationship was so cute. In this particular interview, Fujiwara also used his thumb to wipe food particles from Sotomura's lips and licked it, just like in the movie and that move made me so soft. I just had to come back in and truly appreciate the father/daughter relationship again. They're just so cute.

SIDE SIDE SIDE NOTE: Fujiwara seems like he'll make a fun dad in real life. The way he interacts with Sotomura, his demeanor is just very warm and kid friendly. Idk, maybe I'm thinking too much into it.

I checked out that "Guilty" drama or whatever Keita starred in before this. From MDL, he plays supporting but…
I'm looking forward to seeing him in Alice in Borderland. Based on the trailer, his character is very expressive and over the top. A stark contrast to his character here.
