That's reassuring. Also since I keep seeing that Japanese movies have more wiggle room for additional things *cough kisses cough* maybe a movie is the better option, if let's say this season doesn't fully achieve the goal of a kiss. Ya know lol

Oh dear, if CM followed that route, that would be so bad. It wouldn't be as bad with new characters same actors, cuz then at least you're watching a new drama, but if it's same actor and same character but new love interest, that's a nope from me.

That's why I didn't even bother with Ossan's spin offs lol. I wouldn't have minded if they were new characters (it gives you closure that they're onto new projects now and the older project is complete), but they're the same characters now in a different alternate universe or something. Didn't make sense to me at all. After the heartfelt confession, they completely ditched Maki? That's a nope.

Funny we're discussing Ossan's love on CM's thread. Sorry folks

I feel like Ossan's Love is a completely different genre of BL though (exaggeration/manga esque reactions etc) so that might affect overall popularity. Based on what I've seen CM is doing great in Japan and International so yeah, I am definitely hopeful for a movie, at the very least. Second season I'm eh on. I heard they're gonna conclude this drama differently from the manga, so if that is true, then it's basically complete. A second season would mean they'll have a different story completely from the manga? Which I'm not too keen on. Diverting from source material for a little bit is fine, but once you get to the point where it's a completely different story, idk how I'm gonna like the direction/flow. Even with talented actors, if they aren't provided the proper materials to work with, it's gonna end up not as good. Hoping that's not thr case though? A season 2 based on the continued volumes of the manga would be great.

Guys, Machida and Eiji have such great chemistry on screen that I'm not sure I can see them with other girls in…
Agree that chemistry is on point. In contrast to you, I tend to look at very project from a broader perspective. Maybe it's cuz I'm more into the idea that Machida or Akaso can adapt to new roles and deliver the same performance (chemistry) with their female counterpart, that it makes me excited to see future projects. I'm more interested in their ability as actors overall, than their ability per project, if that makes sense? Anyway, enough of that lol. you're gonna have to prepare your heart cuz if you wanna support either Machida or Akaso after CM, you're gonna have to come to terms that they perform with women. It's truly inevitable. Hoping we at least get an extra movie or something.
Kurosawa's gonna be so confused watching Adachi and Tsuge silently stare at each other. He doesn't know they're having a full blown conversation in their heads lol

Anyone who has read the manga, does it ever get revealed if Kurosawa finds out about Adachi's ability? If so, do you think it'll make it on the drama? Is Kurosawa gonna remain clueless his entire life? lol (Also I can see how it can make Kurosawa feel insecure/sad, thinking Adachi only accepted him because of the ability, but with a proper conversation, I am sure that misunderstand will be quickly cleared)

That filter. *chef's kiss. It's like finally seeing what 240p looks like in 1080p HD.

Also, Award for best supporting actor goes to.........

Machida's eyebrows! Congratulations!!!

EDIT: I keep going back to the gif and I think I'm falling deeper into this hole of admiring Mr. Kurosawa. This could get really dangerous y'all. This gif should not have existed, who even. Why. That eyebrow bounce. I-

Japanese actors don't do enough fanservice to quench their thirst, they wouldn't bother. At best this will attract…
The main problem may be that the networks/companies are having straight actors pretend to act gay for fanservice. To your normal fan, this would seem too much to promote a show. But to your weird fan, this is the perfect excuse to over romanticize gay men and minimalize their issues. Which is why Japan does it better imo. Their actors are all about business, none of that fanservice bs. If any weird fan does come over, they won't stay long, because there's literally nothing for them to over romanticize. If they are able to romanticize normal interactions between the actors then that's beyond help.

Ah side note about the audience and tone of the drama. There have been comments popping up that Kurosawa is creepy…
Yepp. Imo it's a pretty good representation right now. They hint that Kurosawa has thoughts but they don't show it. It already upsets some fans, can you imagine if they did a imagination sequence of physical interaction. Certain people will probably call that imagination sexual assault or something idek, since Adachi didn't consent for the imagination.

OK, there is one thing that's bothering me. They've pretty much dropped Adachi's powers - he didn't even hear…
Ah side note about the audience and tone of the drama. There have been comments popping up that Kurosawa is creepy for having those thoughts about Adachi. I personally don't agree it's creepy, it's pretty normal to have certain thoughts about the person you like. But this just goes to show how audience and tone matters in how a character is written/portrayed.

First point about Adachi's power. Yeah I get the feeling it hasn't been making much of an appearance this episode.…
I brought up wild fantasies because you mentioned the manga as source material, which I recall has much more wild imaginations, compared to the drama. Aside from that, graphic nudity I took from my other comment, confused about your homophobia point, which you have already clarified so, it's all cool now. Other than that, my opinion remains about the rest that story wise, including the physical/sexual attraction now would not work for the development of their relationship. Probably later when there's less going on, especially now that they're finally dating.

Are they still filming this? If you checked out their live stream on the 7 Oct, it seems that they were wearing…
They're done filming this. They're currently all just promoting the drama on their social media at this point, posting photos and episode previews etc. Aside from that, they've all got something going on that is not CM related. Akaso recently appeared on a TV program. Machida did an interview with Deep Squad.

Japanese actors don't do enough fanservice to quench their thirst, they wouldn't bother. At best this will attract the normal fans, such as I.
