i'm taking my time with these extras. I'm on ep 1 right now. Got to say. That's a lot of repetitive concepts. The boob grabbing, the montage of their sweet home life (the toothpaste foam kiss, the Sarawat butt slap, the bickering about clothing, the fighting over food. 1 year later. Could you be anymore creative, really), the jealousy, the almost not almost intimate scenes. 1st episode is literally a summarized version of the prequel for WatTine lol. At least Mantype and PhukongMil are going somewhere decent? Will watch the second episode next month.

I had fun watching this as a teen but....I tried to rewatch it again a while ago and skipped a ton. I couldn't even finish. Just a lot of dragged plot.

Omg my mom keeps rewatching this drama and the more I see it, the more anger I feel. All her friends and family literally guilt trip her into accepting him at the end. Like BIH y'all weren't kidnapped and raped, OF COURSE it's easy for you tell her to forgive him. I literally can't.

It's scary how fast I lose interest sometimes. I was interested in watching Still 2gether like 3 weeks ago but now I'm just meh. The hype left me just like that. The people who keep coming back to complain or express their excitement, I applaud y'all's commitment. I couldn't do that. Imma head out, maybe watch this next year or something when I'm bored and got free time.

I'm kind of disgusted every time he tries to sexually harass her all the while accusing her of doing this and that. Like dude....you couldn't talk to her normally? What's up with all these up close hugs, these horny ass looks? Like? She's literally the child you befriended and even if you think she's doing something, what grown ass man becomes THAT immature about it. It seems 2008 was a time when the ml is bewitched by the third female lead's evil schemes and they both come together to torture the fl, the ml doing it cuz he wants to satisfy his resentment for liking her, the third female lead doing cuz she plain evil like that, only to realize his dumbass was fooled all along and then he's so sorry and the fl forgives him and happy ending. Yawn. As a kid, great show. As an adult, I would like to pass. Great OST though, I still listen to that song today.

The damn rape scenes in this drama was the longest and cringiest shit. The time he tried to rape her by the pool. That shit lasted about 5 minutes of her constantly pushing him away and telling him no. The time he tried to rape her in his office when she was wearing his dead gf’s clothes, that lasted about 5 minutes. Same shit again. Who the hell script this and thought it’d be good to have those scenes run for so long. She literally says the same line over and over again cuz what else can you say when the scene is running for 5 minutes straight. “Khun Ton dont, don’t Khun Ton, don’t, no, no Khun Ton, stop, Khun don’t, don’t no, stop, stop Khun Ton, don’t,” THAT’S LITERALLY HER LINE THE WHOLE TIME SHE’S UNDER HIM. wth
Edit: he literally broke a sweat trying to do that pool scene lmfao his whole back and armpit was drenched in sweat.

Yeah same actor. Facial features and voice matched 100%.

Back an hour later. DISCLAIMER: The subs I watched weren't very accurate so I don't know if what I saw was true to the language. Whatever I say here was based on those fansubs.

Okay now that I have gathered my thoughts a little. Obviously there are many questionable things in this movie. Rape, stockholm syndrome, justification for the rape. Those are the big 3 jumping out at me right now.

The rape was not romanticized, as far as I can see. I think Makoto suffered a lot and he didn't enjoy it in the sense that he wanted to, but forced to adapt to the pleasure. I think the rape depicted in this movie was okay. I'm not mad about it.

The stockholm syndrome and then onward, however, is where I have mixed feelings. Obviously he didn't fall for Ryoji during the imprisonment, he just gradually accepted that he was stuck, which I think is slightly different than accepting romantic feelings toward the perpetrator. But even then, he still felt some sort of emotional attachment to Ryoji and then fell for him after the sob story. I think having this as the sequence is too convenient. I wish Makoto had more time to clear his mind and then consider what he felt for the Doc. Yes, that's still not any better if he still ends up with Ryoji, but I think that would have helped flowed things better. I'm just a hoe for flow, that's all.

The justification for all of this. Huh. I don't know. I mean it makes sense. He's suicidal, depressed, psychologically drained, he wanted to save Makoto and chose the worse way possible, due to his mental instability. It makes sense. But at the same time, I'm uncomfortable, ya know? I don't know what else to say about this. But I do think at the very least it wasn't worse? I think his mental instability is a better excuse than, ya know, just being plain sadistic and doing it for the pleasure. If that had been the case then this movie would have been way worse.

Since we on about mental health, I think what this movie did well, was showing their mental instability within the context. They didn't make it look hot or anything, like some desired trait to have. Like both Makoto and Ryoji look depressed as fuck through out the movie lol.

There's more to say but I don't want to delve deeper. I'll just end up going around in circles. I'm already drained as is after finishing this movie. I do appreciate that the rape wasn't glamorized though, imo. They both clearly suffered greatly even during the earlier scenes. Overall, as mentioned earlier, this was an experience. Give it a watch, see for yourself what you're capable of stomaching.

OOH also watched the behind the scenes lol respect for Kitadai Takashi and Watanabe Sho. Something about actors going to THIS extreme for a production is always respectable and admirable. Not to mention this is like Watanabe's first full length film as well. Also the production team for making this film possible. RESPECT.

Nope, you're fine. Seriously had no clue Chinese trolls instigated the hate tho? I just thought the opinion arised cuz of the expectation in Bright as the senior, but guess not. If anyone ate up the trolling and that IS the reason why Bright is getting the crap he does today, then that is very sad.

No, I understood you the first time. I was just chiming in that differences in expectations can cause people to point fingers. And it doesn't necessarily have to be related to believing in trolls manipilation or whatnot. Just in general, if fans saw that Bright had tons of experience while Win had none, and then finally the performance they delivered is what we see, then that alone can vastly affect how people percieve Bright and Win as actors. I for one wasn't aware there were trolls going around saying things about Bright, but I still hold the opinion that Win and Bright did average. Win was not as good as people say, and Bright was not as bad as people say. And yes, I agree, Sarawat's character leaves very little room for Bright to work with.

For me, I wouldn't necessarily say Win is a great actor nor that Bright was that bad. But the difference between them is Win is a first timer and Bright had experience under his belt. This difference alone vastly changes people's views on both of them.

Lol i must've been high or something, idk but my eyes kept getting teary during some of the later scenes. Crazy. Overall good watch.
