Confession: never suffered Second Lead Syndrome (well...yet) I've liked the second lead more than the main…
the only time i shipped the second lead is on the drama Queen of Reversal because the main lead is an ahjussi and the second lead is Park Shi Hoo xD
other than that, i never really had a problem with sls.
On Hello, My Twenties! Jan 10, 2017
Age of Youth speaks from the bottom of the youths’ hearts, while manage to keep things low key. It’s the kind of show that didn’t hesitate to show the most mundane part of our everyday lives, and turns it to a brilliant slice of life that takes you along with the journey through the perspective of our Belle Epoque girls.

The arc of each girls were done with love and care, and their journey of growing just felt real and too relatable to be ignored. We root for them, and we did think that some of their decisions would just rot away one’s future, probably, but in the end, just like what Eun Jae said, “My situations right now, feels kind of like Russian Roulette, with a fully loaded gun”, could represent the fact that no matter what kind of choices we made, we still have no idea of the outcome, and sometimes we fear for what to come from it.

Yet, the ending gives a very hopeful and reassuring feeling that, no matter what the girls are going through again, they will, with all their youth spirit, survive it all and all over again.

Age of Youth reached its goal in the end. If slice of life has always been their end point in this game, then they’d just nailed it. There is no climax. The world keeps on going, and so does the world in Age of Youth. I do sense that these girls’ amazing friendship will last until their Age of Oldies. Definitely. 9/10
On Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira Jan 2, 2017
Cold case tells the story of a crime investigation unit dealing with unresolved cases. The members consist of our intelligent and intuitive detective, Capt. Ishikawa, along with the old dudes. The story started to get more intense along with the presence of Takagi, the youngest detective to join the unit, who would later partnered with Ishikawa and together with other members, they’re trying to solve the cases in precise.

While I’m not able to compare the remake with the original as I haven’t watch the original series, to me Cold Case deserve to be watched for the consistent pace, acting, dialogues and atmosphere of the show in general. Never in any of the episodes that the story got too personal. Cold Case is one of those series with a tight writing and pace. It never once loses its times to convey the insignificance narrative. Unlike most of the Japanese crime shows, this one is very similar to its american counterpart, and probably due it being an adaptation and a collaboration with Warner Bros at that. Our female lead is a well respected human being by the men, and I like how professional she is with her work. I also love the opening and ending theme, it blends in very well with atmosphere of the show. The OSTS are amazing and it connects well with the scenes. The cinematography are especially really good, unlike your usual Japanese show.

There’s so much to like about the show, but some things did irk me, and I felt that the show could’ve done better at some of the cases revelation. I’m not going to say which episodes are lacking, but there are episodes that lack the shock or twist factor. You can say that it just doesn’t hit you as hard as some of other episodes did. Cold Case also mainly focuses itself with the questioning witnesses and suspects’ aspect of a crime procedural while putting the action scenes aside. So, don’t expect our detectives spending the day catch-run-shoot the bad guys. Instead, we’ll often see them getting house-to-house, prison, or a certain location where the suspects and witnesses resides, to ask them. Most of the episodes, the detectives were never confronted physically with the bad guys, so it made the show less intense. If you can ignore past the points I mention, then you’ll likely to be able to enjoy the show.
.
My favorite episodes are 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. I think those episodes are the ones that could affected me emotionally.

I recommend this for those of you craving for tight and pace written crime solving shows with excellent acting from the main casts and supporting casts.

Title Reply 1994
I enjoy this show. I haven’t watch other Reply installments, and my first exposure to this series was when I stumbled upon TVN on my tv and I happened to see some scenes of Trash and Na Jung, and scenes of Chil Bong and Na Jung. And the first impression I got was, I really like this guy (Trash), and Chil Bong is a one heck annoying guy. So that was in 2013, I guess.
Then I decided to watch the show 3 years later, full episodes.

Chil Bong
And my conclusion would be, despite Chil Bong sweet and good natured personality, he’s not that interesting as a character. Throughout the show, he was captured as lonely guy coming from a broken family, and doing baseball as his escape, until he met Na Jung. I never made assured by the show, the reasoning behind his love for Na Jung. Does he love her for who she is, or he’s just trying to use her as a filling void for his ever lonely heart? As far as I could remember, throughout their interaction, it never got pass the ‘I love you for who you are’, but it’s more like ‘I love you, please love me back because I’m dying in loneliness here’. It was more like Chil Bong craving for the attention he never had from his mother, and he was trying to get it from Na Jung. So, instead of being a romantic attraction, I rather felt that it was a relationship between sister and a younger brother.

Trash
Trash is my favorite. I love his goofiness in everything. He’s loud, ecstatic and sometimes too ignorant with his surroundings. Like, drinking expired milk without hassle? That could’ve taken a bit of practice with your agility. I l love how subtle Trash is with his feelings… I felt that in many ways, he’s much more solid in the mature department rather than Chil Bong. He’s a funny guy, but he carries burden just as much as others. I wish show could’ve shown more of his inner thoughts and also showing more of his life struggles, and yet without those, I already relate a lot with his character. He got a good amount of flaws and plus in himself, and I like what I’m seeing in the show regarding him.

Na Jung
Na Jung is an awesome girl and I never not root for whatever she does, except this one thing… the fact that she never responded firmly of her feelings to Chil Bong. I realized that this was due to the husband mystery game. Show wanted to keep the guessing game until the last episode, so if Na Jung were to reject clearly of Chil Bong’s advances from early episodes, I guess we’ll already know who the husband is, right? Perhaps, if Na Jung gave Chil Bong the answer, Chil Bong wouldn’t have to confess for three times in a row. So, Na Jung is a hot tempered girl and a brave one at that. Much like Trash, she’s loud and ecstatic. So what happens when Na Jung and Trash met? Explosion. Lol.

Trash x Na Jung
I’m sure that I’m the minority who adores Trash and Na Jung relationship, and I get that a lot. Their pairing works fantastically because first, both speak the same accent. So when I heard they both talking to each other, I just felt that they both sound so in sync. I love it when two people are in sync, because the intensity would be higher. Then they are both a loud, ecstatic, hyper and lunatic person especially when they’re interacting with each other. And the most important thing is that they like each other, so of course the interaction would be more balance and attracting toward each other. Unlike when Na Jung and Chil Bong, since it’s only Chil Bong who likes her, their interaction felt rather restrained to me, and probably because Chil Bong also tried too hard to be interesting, when yet HE WILL NEVER BE. Lol. At the same time Trash is just normally interesting without effort, so there’s the difference between them.

so does the teacher and the girl has romantic relationship or pure student-teacher relationship?
thank you. altho i had to drop this x)
On Cinderella Formula Dec 26, 2016
I had to drop this on the first episode. I'm not in the mood to watch motivational drama that force its messages right in your face. It feels like I'm being choked.
I'd rather had the dialogue flow in a subtler way, but I realize that most of dorama use these kind of technique to embrace its message. Yet it doesn't come out naturally as intended.
There are shows like Juhan Shuttai that actually delivered it much better.
On A Story of Yonosuke Dec 25, 2016
This is the journey of our innocent Yonosuke. Meeting new people through out his life, having interesting conversation with them while making a lasting connection.

Because I jumped to this movie without watching the synopsis or reading the news beforehand, the story became unpredictable for me. I had no idea who Yonosuke love interest would be. And I love the way the movie sets up their encounter!

In short, this is a heartwarming slice of life that brings you a feel good feeling in the end.

I have to admit that I only voted for the shows I've watched, but seeing the dominance of DOTS and Scarlet Heart in this poll somehow makes me sad.
Long live glory to shows I favored: Signal, Beautiful Mind, Age of Youth, The Good Wife, 38 Task Force. </3
On Sweet Stranger and Me Dec 17, 2016
Well, I'm not into the land conflict... but the relationship between our main couple and with other characters are simply enjoyable. The last episode wrapped it up nicely.

still wondering if I should start watching it or no... is this really worth it?
The noble idiocy in the last episode totally change my view of this drama. What could've become a solid drama becomes a cringe-worthy one. Despite the excellent comedy and slice of life part of the drama, the last episode really killed my mood.

This drama is okay. But seo in guk totally better than lee minho being a con artist. Seriously when i watched…
I never really acknowledged how impressive 38TF but only after I bumped into some conman roles in recent kdramas and I kept thinking, "I bet Seo In Guk can do it better" xD

honestly i hate how nan gil acts like a "stereotypical dad" like freaking act your age you've never…
Hafta agree, So Dam is adorable.
I heard Mask was a tearfest? lol
I do get a feeling that this show will go down a darker territory somehow. Well, if you manage to get to ep 5/6, the misunderstanding is resolved, some of them. The girl will know the guy's intention, and confront him about his feelings. The girl is bold, sometimes too bold. But that's what I like about her.

It can't be helped when you hated a particular trope. x) I took my time to see your watch list and you finished Cinderella. I guess you can handle a lot of cliched tropes, but not this one, it seems. :B
