Title Sweet Stranger and Me Spoiler
I dropped this drama after 1st ep... Even though they are not related by blood but since he married her mom. It…
In the past Na Ri's dad and uncle borrow a big sum of money from an evil corporation.
The corporation itself is evil because they will go to killing extent if you got problems with paying, etc.

Nan Gil was an orphan and Na Ri's Mom used to volunteer on the orphanage. Mom then consider Nan Gil as her own son, so they definitely had a very warm and pure
mother-son relationship just like Mom with Na Ri.

And about Nan Gil and Na Ri, when they're both a kid, Nan Gil declared to himself that he would marry Na Ri someday so that he could also become part of a family
with Mom. But, as soon as Na Ri left the town for college, Nan Gil realized that Na Ri had actually always been his first love from the very beginning. And yet
he never stop caring for her, he was always watching her from distant and Na Ri never knew that, and after he knew that Na Ri had a boyfriend, he started to disappear,
but still had feelings for her, until the current timeline, I believe. So that's their relationship. Yay.

OK, back to the story. Then, after Na Ri left, Nan Gil basically got adopted by the evil corporation CEO, named CEO Baek, and CEO Baek also adopted a lot of sons
in order to raise them to become gangsters aka his loyal underlings. Nan Gil had a tough life because of this, he even go imprisoned for unknown cause (yet). I think at some point Nan Gil suceeded on freeing himself from CEO Baek, and he returned to Mom's house. After he knew that Mom's husband (which is currently missing) left a lot of debt to CEO Baek, he decided to marry Mom so that he can protect Mom, Na Ri and the family's belongings, because Nan Gil knew that CEO Baek could do harm to the family and by marrying Mom, he's technically becomes the head of the family, so just in case CEO Baek tries to mess up with them, only Nan Gil would take the responsibility and dealing with him directly without involving Mom and Na Ri.

Mom didn't agree with the marriage at first, because she knew that Nan Gil is falling hard for Na Ri and marrying her practically makes him a stepfather of Na Ri, but Nan Gil insisted because that's the only way everyone can survive, so there's the marriage on paper happened.

It's not incest at all. I suggest you continue watching. The dynamic gets more interesting after episode 4. I will spoil this for you, Nan Gil and the Mom never had a romantic relationship, they're more like mother and son. The marriage was nothing like you imagined at all, they married for NON-romantic purpose, but for something else. I can't tell you further because it will only deteriorates the fun.

I dropped Entourage and I can't be too sure of the reason. x)

Formerly, the thought that Entourage was american adapted show was the reason I couldn't enjoy it crossed my mind, but then I remember being very fond the Korean adaptation of The Good Wife, so the western vibe couldn't have been the problem.

I think, what made The Good Wife so good is that it can stand on its own, and yet Entourage still felt undecided for its overall direction. I think Entourage will improve though.

I think guys will enjoy this drama.

I love the boys interaction because they're silly and mostly laid back with each other, but it was probably the flow of the story that didn't allow me to enjoy the show.

The production value is sky high but the acting and plot are nothing good... What a waste of money that is.
just consider this slice of life lol
On Bring It On, Ghost Nov 3, 2016
With all the predictable stuffs, this drama is one of the most exciting drama I've ever watched. Let me tell you why:

1. Love triangle isn't the main focus. Show will not give you a chance to hate the second female lead and second male lead. Even though Bong Pal did have an interest in second female lead on the first several episodes, it was one-sided.

2. Romantic conflict between the main couple never drag. When the couple undergone a separation, it took only half of an episode, and then the show quickly shifted itself to another conflict that had to do with Hyun Ji's condition as a ghost.

3. In exchange for the main couple conflict, we get exhilarating payoff as a result. The show manage to bring us some funny and ridiculous scenes when Bong Pal and one of the comedic duo went through a heart break. No matter how sad the situation is, the characters unintentionally lights up the atmosphere.

4. Funniest Comedic Duo in dramaland. I dont know, but theese guys are organically funny, you can't help it. I rarely encounter comedic duo in kdrama, so I'm not sure if there are more funnier comedic duo than these guys, but they are so stupidly funny that you can help cheering for their stupidity and dorkiness when they're on-screen together. Sometimes they make the appearance of the ghost less scary because of their reaction lol. xD

5. Villain that make you sympathize with. He's a psychopath. sure, but in the end you'll understand his motives and accepted him. Well, at least I do.

Guess Korean dramas aren't for me anymore. Was such a struggle to watch the 3rd episode. Also as I become…
If you're not specifically looking for romcom and looking for more mature story instead, you could definitely try Signal or 38 Task Force. Drinking Solo is also a funny and endearing show, you might like it for the comedy alone.
I haven't finish The Good Wife and Age of Youth yet (and definitely not because of boredom, just haven't got time to watch) but these two shows also got nice rating for the more unconventional and mature story.

I read some negative comment here, so I wasn't sure about starting this drama, but I'm glad that I started…
No, don't hear the negative comments! Even if the romance are less enjoyable for you, stick with the show for the comedy and the slice of life stuffs, because they're neatly explored in each character.
On Drinking Solo Oct 27, 2016
From the very beginning of this drama, I never expected Jin Jung Suk to be the perfect prince, and either Park Ha Na as the shining young lady. Therefore, I don't have disappointment such as thinking how a jerk Jung Suk is, and how stupid Ha Na is.

I never expected them to be a perfect character.

I'm seeing them as they are with all the flaws.

So, just sit back and watch the show. It's a perfect show with its own flaws too. I don't understand the hate for the main couple, but it's probably because you expect too much from them. They're playing the characters very well, there is NO bad acting here, just wonderful acting for the respected characters.

There are also people who despise Jin Yi, yet I never see her as a trouble. It's already a relief when Jin Yi didn't become second lead that compete with Ha Na for Jung Suk's love.

The only problem with this show is when they put Jin brothers (Jung Suk and Gong Myung) with Ha Na conflict on fucking last two episodes. How amazing is that? Now that the conflict only resolved on the last episode, there isn't much closure for the main couple. Except the main couple, every supporting cast got their best closure. I'm forgiving this in perspective that the PD are aiming for a second season, so that's why the left the relationship between the main couple blurred, because it's gonna be more focused and explored in second season, right? If second season ever exist, lol. I'm being skeptical, just in case it doesn't turn out that way.

If you don't favor the romance, watch this show for the comedy and slice of life. Let's laugh and cry along with the drinking solo people!

This drama.. how do I describe this. It's emotional, and it will make you feel all kinds of butterflies in your stomach, and not even in the good way. I've shed tears a lot through the story. It's just... so much pain, desperation, and mostly, that determination this one detective (Jae Han ahjussi) oozed through his action really draws you in.

Do watch this gem for the amazing storyline, cast, and pacing. No cheesy dialogues, ever. And Park Hae Young makes Profiler looks like one of the most interesting job ever.

The dark theme is very heavy here, if you're not in for that, this drama will never be in your preference. Up until the very last episode, the tension never fade off. It's a tight drama in terms of pacing and storyline.

Terrific start! Then again, I already feel like Je Hoon is overacting. Too intense, too overdramatic...
It's only on episode 1. He seemed to cool down gradually in the latter episodes.
On Marriage, Not Dating Oct 17, 2016
I love this show- at first. I love how manic the characters are on the first episode. The story flows fast, and you get to see our Jang Mi struggles so hard to make her love accepted.

And then her story didn’t turn out as she wished, so of course- she feels sad. I still root for her. Jang Mi and Ki Tae together in a fake relationship, I root for it. Jang Mi saw Yeo Reum as a swoony guy and not more than that, I still accept that.

I started to dislike the show when they made Jang Mi opening up to Yeo Reum. From all guys, why Yeo Reum? He’s supposed to be a jerk. I just don’t like how he’s easily portrayed from an unreachable jerk to a nice guy. Show made me think, goodness, inconsistencies! There’s just not enough trait in Yeo Reum that made me have to like him, to accept him.

This show doesn’t need a lovey-dovey Jang Mi with Yeo Reom. This show… should’ve just used more comedy to replace the love triangle between Jang Mi, Yeo Reom, and Ki Tae. That way, I’ll be happy to make this show my favorite. It turns out the only person I can root for up to episode 7 is Ki Tae, while the rest of them, particularly- Jang Mi and the second leads are the main reason I’m dropping this show.

I also read from a review that Ki Tae and Jang Mi relationship only started to develop on episode 13. So I thought, no, not gonna spend my time waiting until episode 13.

These are probably the reason why this show failed me:
1. Female lead first kiss isn’t with the male lead.
2. Second leads are annoying in a sense of uninteresting as individual.
3. And female lead likes the second lead at first, that’s okay if the second lead is cool, but in fact he isn’t, at all. At least, to me.
4. Female lead being lovey-dovey with the second lead. To me she looks cheap because of that. I hate how the show makes me feel that way. :/

What made me depressed with this show is how I wasn't able to predict how the con is going to be performed. For example, show will only give you half of scene where the con artist discuss their con plan. Then the scene cut the con act, and in the con act scenes, there were things that would made me think the con artists will be doomed. And BAM! Show give you the revelation of the full plan.
lol.. even though I've already been tricked by the show in the Mi Joo betrayal episode, I still fell into the same trap in the last episode xD
I simply love this show for the con plans and the betrayals. Show made you feel that can't really trust any of the character because each of them can show their true color in the most unexpected times. And betrayals that happened in the show is a nice touch and acts as one of the way for them to shove us the realistic aspect of the story as a whole.
The rich and official guys are a pain in the ass, when it's their screen time you just feel like punching their guts lol.
The only downside that I notice is how minor Sung Hee role in the story. I expected her to be more involved with the conflicts, because the poster suggests so but it's a shame because she felt more like an outsider rather than one of the main character in the story. I didn't hope for more romance between her Jung Do, but I only hoped she would at least be more involved directly with the con. Maybe deep inside I really wished she would be more dynamic and badass like Mi Joo does x)
Overall, I recommend this show for the jaw dropping cons and engaging story in general :)

I'm confused because the previous scene shown Sung Il working as chief in the tax office.

This drama is really great!! I'd like to know how a Korean person is thinking about this show! Is here a Korean…
This drama aired in the wrong channel and the wrong time slot! That's why. It would probably get higher rating in TvN, and if only the drama Doctors didn't exist or at least airing before or after Beautiful mind lol.

I asked a korean about the low rating and he said that it was because the korean viewers were already skeptical of Jin Sung on the first episode. I realized that Jin Sung was not doing justice to handle the conflicts in the first 4 episodes, but the Koreans thought she was really annoying and wouldn't improved, so a lot of them dropped the show and made negative reviews about it.

Actually, that doesn't make sense to me. I pretty sure there were some previous kdrama that were inhibited by annoying female lead and some of these female leads did have a room for improvement on further episodes. Like Jin Sung did. She got an improvement from episode 5 and upwards.

I just don't get the idea of the Koreans being impatient with Beautiful Mind. It's only on the first 4 episodes... /sigh/

And after that the show got much better, more interesting and especially wonderful...
