The revenge plot is just awful and pointless. The drama would've done better without. Why really? Either come…
Agreed. FL has been through hell so we can empathize to some extent, although the ML isn't doing a whole lot better. Without any discussion, he just allowed her to keep all of her history secret from him?? If he was going to allow her to live and continue a relationship with her, given his position and all he stands to lose, he would insist that he know everything. Why wouldn't she want him to know? She can love him, or she can try to destroy him. I think she is going to have to pick one. I like the show, but it is difficult to take this seriously.
I loved the last episode, watched last 4 minutes 5 times already…can’t get enough, I need OS for that last…
cutting to her feet walking over to him when he granted her wish before dying was a nice little piece of filmmaking. I also loved how ML tore her shirt open just to be sure.
what a brilliant mind 😂 this guy didn't know she was a woman until he saw what was underneath and the way I…
Agreed, but now the stupidity is over at least. The scene with his security guard was important. If we are to believe that they were this repressed sexually during this time, then maybe it is somewhat believable?
My thoughts;* The king does not know she is a woman. I don’t get why people are angry because the feel she obviously…
Great comments! This show can be really good but I'm pretty sure they are going to screw it up. somehow.
I hadn't made the connection with the letter, but the revelation of the father of the FL will be almost as significant as the revelation of her gender
I'm worried that this show is going to try to pull the same bullshit that King's Affection tried to pull. Don't get me wrong, I thought that show was pretty good, but this part of it drove me nuts. In that show, we were made to believe that the ML loved the FL no matter what her gender was. That might be true for some segment of the population. To put it in emoji terms, some might not care whether it is a taco or an egg plant, but to the majority of us, it actually matters a lot. I hope this show isn't going there, but I'm worried...
I know there’s a theory that the king already knows that Mongwoo is a woman but with today’s episode I think…
I fear you are right, but I'm holding out hope that the ML knows and is just allowing her to reveal in her own time. I don't think it's believeable that the physician would lie to the king. People get killed, or at least booted from their elevated position for breaching the king's trust.
Must not have been a good episode because no one’s talking about it
A little dull until the end. It's the preview for the next ep that is cause for concern. We might be headed somewhere stupid. A few people have commented that the reveal should have happened this week and I think that sounds right. A few of us have said that this can all be rectified if the ML knows by now, but that might not be the case.
When I made my comment below I hadn't watched the preview for the next episode. After seeing that, maybe this…
haha, has he actually had relations with women, or are those just rumors? I can't think of anyone, and in episode 5 all the women were freaking out because he wasn't sleeping with anyone.
When I made my comment below I hadn't watched the preview for the next episode. After seeing that, maybe this show should have been called Disappointing the King. If ML really is gay, then Mong Woo is really going to let him down in the end.
Grr, I'm so f*ing annoyed now, the cross-dressing goes on. I mean, forget about her cross-dressing look believable…
Agreed. It's so stupid, the only way to redeem it is if we find out that ML has known all along and was waiting for her to reveal in her own time. It's ridiculous to try to make the audience believe that no one suspects anything ?! This is a really good show, but this is the weakest link by far. What do you guys think ML meant when he said he liked her at the end?
I was just rewatching ep2 and the former king referred to himself as queen dowager's stepson. I was wondering…
A couple more random thoughts watching the second time around: queen park looks very suspicious when the last dose of herbal medicine is brought in (perhaps she is the culprit?) Also, I'm much more sympathetic to the former king. The politics around his throne destroyed him and separated what was a close relationship with his brother.
