Question: What do you think was the significance of Gorya pricking herself and drawing blood when she was punching…
Omg I didn't even recognize it was a honey badger till you pointed it out!
Regarding Gorya drawing blood... I wonder?
It makes me reflect on how so many comments today are about disliking how wishy-washy Gorya is being about her feelings and how she should just decide already and accept Thyme already etc. etc.
But, in reality and regardless of feelings, she is in actual, physical danger because of Thyme. In the past, it was Thyme's red card game that led to Gorya being assaulted (she re-upped the significance of this moment when talking to Ren, which I appreciated). And in the future... well, his mother is about to come home again.
That said, I feel like this reading is too simplistic, so I'm interested in other discussions about it.
I think Tesla pretended to be a good guy the whole time he was with Kaning. He showed his true self because he…
This is how I thought of it too. I got the impression that Tesla probably turned on the charm with Kaning before. On the phone with Gorya, Kaning made it seem like she thought he had been ready to dump her already.
Even the lying about the phone makes sense to me.She's confused by Ren and it seems like the last thing she wants…
Oh absolutely! You can see it in Thyme's reaction. It made the scene where Thyme explodes on Tesla more believable too. Tesla is already pushing his buttons, but now he's also trying to hard not to show his frustration with Gorya. Tesla being a supreme dick gives him the perfect excuse to stop holding back.

Hm. I don't know if we're saying different things then lol. Though I will say that even though the lie wasn't "necessary" it absolutely goes with what Kavin and MJ were telling Thyme about needing to talk things out. The advice applies to Thyme, Gorya, and everyone watching as well.
Gorya isn't a smooth operator. When she lies about the phone the first time, Thyme even calls her suspicious. She does the same thing the second time, just jumping out head first to explain away the phone. Of course it's totally unnecessary to do that and all it does is add to Thyme's frustration and the later misunderstanding, but it's absolutely believable that Gorya wouldn't be acting level-headed in those moments either.

Oh not because she's worried about Thyme... because she feels conflicted about her own feelings and she's not about to confide in Thyme (who she also has confusing feelings for)
Maybe this is just a situation I have personal experience with, which is why I find Gorya's reactions true-to-life 🤷♀️
it’s only few hours before ep 6 and I’m really anxious because I know it’s gonna end with Thyme seeing Gorya…
Oh lol. I heartily disagree.
I empathize with the FL the MOST when she's struggling to know how she feels and what she wants.
The FL hasn't committed anything to the ML at this point, and she also hasn't gotten over her crush on the 2ML yet. It's more believable that she'd be swayed by the advances of the 2ML then not. It's also a worthwhile thing to have happen, because it helps solidify in her mind that the 2ML isn't her guy.
I can't really get behind wanting to see the FL stay pure for the ML, either, though I totally get that a lot of drama watchers like this, so no judgment.
Considering how realistic these characters feel to me, if Gorya were to be too decisive about her feelings without first spending effort figuring out how she feels, it would make her character feel flat to me.
So I've watched the first 5 episodes and yesss I love it!In the first few ep, Ren stole the show (in the other…
Oh the angst is going to be sooooooo good. I can't wait.
For real though, if you stick around the comments or if you dig into them, so much of the discussion is about how even if we love Ren we all ship ThymeGorya too much. This show has done the unthinkable ad made this ML someone to root for!
So I've seen a few comments about the closet scene and Thyme's shaking hands, and it seems like some think his hands shake due to being nervous?
I disagree though.
The first time I saw Thyme's hand tremble, I might have thought it was nerves, but then it kept going and seemed more like a tremor.
I think this was an aftereffect of 1. Being drugged the night before 2. Slicing his hand open 3. Stress of getting to Gorya and seeing her hurt
I love that we get a ML who could stay competent (and mostly composed) under pressure, but who is still clearly and visibly affected by it. Just like I love that Gorya stays standing against the bullies but still cries when she finally feels safe in Thyme's arms. These are awesome character moments to me. The show gives us strong characters that are also fully realized, and doesn't pretend like strength=unaffected.
Not laying everything out explicitly isn't really a "loose thread". One of my favorite things about this finally…
Lol, I mean it's as okay as it is for me to give a differing opinion, right?
I get wanting to see more, and I lived the jiung character, but I was glad they let it be ambiguous (but clearly healing and positive) rather than having to watch some kind of perfect redemption for his mother. I don't even think we know if she survives or not, and I appreciate this since that isn't really the point.
One of the things that makes so many kdrama endings unsatisfying to me is absolutely the tendency to tie bows on every single story, rather than allowing them to have natural endings. I thought OBS had one of the best endings BECAUSE it was so natural (not forced into a neatly tied bow) while still showing our characters in such a better place than the beginning of the show.

She's confused by Ren and it seems like the last thing she wants to do.is talk about Ren in front of Thyme. Relatable.

Thyme being nervous? Sure, but less interesting than I think the scene actually plays it.
Bright being nervous? 🤨🤨🤨
Whaaaa?

Try watching Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food or One Spring Night. I like both dramas a lot, but oof they overplayed the hell out of one or two songs.
