Just on ep 15 and my biggest problem is that Tang San keeps putting himself at risk for Xiao Wu when he doesn't have to if she was just honest with him. I think I know what her deal is so I understand why she's skeptical, but he basically spilled every secret he had to her in spite of his father's warnings and she still hasn't been truthful with him about anything. It's making it hard for me to get on her side.
Idk y every single episode makes me feel a next level of disgust especially with yu shin.. how can she just blindly…
I was so scared he was going to turn out to be a monster and she would be the example they gave. That was so irresponsible of her especially since she doesn't actually have anyone to turn to if something had happened. When he was telling her to lock her door and not open for anyone (except him, implied) I was very, very worried. He's obviously an expert at manipulation.
I know right! i was just laughing at their foolishness lol, I think there are alot of reasons why the Empress…
I get that her family was killed by the Wangs, but then the Wangs except Awu and her brother (not counting the old Empress) also almost lost everything. Awu lost her parents and her baby and her ability to have children ever all at once. Plus the Xie family is still one of the families in power and she's the Empress. Her husband may have started out liking Awu but he also loved her a lot in spite of how they started. She just needed someone to hate and decided to take it out on Awu even though anyone with a brain could see that Awu was just trying to live in peace.
Lol, I don't blame you for skipping. I skip a lot too, especially scenes with Jin'er and Zi Tan.
Episode 52 feels "If be mindful how you treat people because you might need them in the end or if you reap what…
That baby is just trying to eat and sleep and his parents keep doing all sorts of nonsense that put his life in danger. Those 3 are the only ones who have not done any scheming or evil to anyone in the show and yet they keep getting attacked from all sides.
Who's next in the retribution sweepstakes? That's all I want to know. Just finished episode 53 and I'm ready to…
Lord knows I cannot stand that girl. These people always make deals with the devil then act brand new when they get double crossed or attacked. Jin'er keeps acting like someone is making her do things that she CHOSE to do. Like, ma'am pls keep your explanation for whatever demon finds you in hell after your demise. I hope they all get what's coming to them, cos karma has been very active in this show and I am enjoying all of it!
So, the Empress Dowager and the Empress really spent all their time and energy plotting against Awu and Xiao Qi when they literally put the Emperor on the throne and just wanted to live quietly, only to have everything snatched away by an actual villain. I cannot stop laughing at the foolishness. You'd think the Empress Dowager had learned from the experience with her brother that Awu will always, ALWAYS do what is right but instead she kept making up plots and looking for demons where none existed. As for the Empress, I don't even get why she hated Awu so much. Like, you were both played by people in power and sold off to marry men you did not care for, WHY is Awu your enemy??? The stupidity on display *face palm*
I really enjoyed the journey of this drama. I don't really have strong thoughts on the ending except that I could've done with a little more... something. Maybe my opinion will change later but I'm happy for now. I'm going to miss having this to look forward to every weekend.
Oh wow. Lee Shi Eun's kids are amazing. I gave the confrontation with the dad a standing ovation. I knew it was going to be good when the kids talked before the parents home but it surpassed my expectations. The professor is absolute garbage and I hope he steps on dog shit for the rest of his pathetic life. He really pulled out the "all men are the same" card after trying to blame his cheating on his wife. Trash.
I also can't help but consider the parallels in this divorce with Sa Pi Young's parents'. She was so devoted to her father that she keeps blaming her mother even when the man cheated on her, but Shi Eun's kids are firmly on their mother's side. Is it because Shi Eun was a "better" wife and mother? I like examining these things in my head.
Finally, I wish Hye Ryung would just get a divorce. Once your relationship starts sending you to the hospital, that's more than a sign that it's time to give up. I can't imagine what bringing a child into that marriage will do too.
(Still don't know why we have to care about those random women and I wish they'd get to their point sooner rather than later.)
I cannot believe this show still has me screaming after 16 episodes! I started saying she must be pregnant when the wine she spent a month brewing didn't hit the spot but I still screamed so loudly when the doctor confirmed it! Bong Hwan, you're gonna be a dad lol!
I don't know what Hwa Jin is up to now and I don't actually care. I don't even want to see her stupid face so she can go reflect on herself in a dark corner until the end of the drama. As for KBI, he's so deep in his feelings about how he's entitled to So Yong that he will happily destroy her just so the king doesn't get to be happy with her. I just hope he destroys himself along the way before he can ruin So Bong's plans for world domination.
One of my best moments in ep 16 was the Grand Queen Dowager realising her toner was finished but knowing she couldn't ask So Yong to make more. I laughed so loud. I still kinda like her even though she's a totally horrid person, and her maid is hilarious.
I knew Dong Mi was sus but damn. I did not see the end of ep 4 coming at all. I feel so bad for the old doctor cos he loved her so much. I think she may have designs on her step son but I don't know yet if he is an active participant.
The lawyer is a scumbag for acting like his decided not to have kids after they got married without his input. He knew her entire deal beforehand and still married her but now he's cheating and he can't even decide if it's cos she doesn't want children, or he doesn't love her anymore or cos she's too self centered. He's just an asshole who cheated on his wife because he could.
I'm also really intrigued by the engineer too. I wonder if the writer will eventually leave the professor and maybe date the engineer on her way to freedom.
This show still has my interest so I'll keep going even if it's just to see how it all plays out. Also, don't really care about those other 3 women. Idc if they're the mistresses brought together by fate or just random strangers. I'd rather they became relevant now or just stop taking up scenes that could go to characters I actually care about, like the kids. I love all the kids so far, especially the little girl.
The fact that the king's brother keeps going on and on about the king forgetting their mission because of So Yong, and yet he didn't hesitate when it came to betraying the king for Hwa Jin... I couldn't roll my eyes hard enough (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ
I also think it's interesting that So Yong didn't tell the king about Hwa Jin giving the ledger to the Queen Dowager. I wonder if she never plans to or if she's keeping that for later. Knowing how scatterbrained she is though, I'm sure she's moved on from that already. We know the prince definitely won't be the one to tell on Hwa Jin since he's too busy simping for her.
I'm very excited to see how things play out in the palace now that everyone has picked a corner.
Dam Hyang was really the saviour of the day. That little girl is so smart and so brave. I also cannot believe the level of her hand/eye coordination! She'd make a fantastic basketball player
Someone needs to tell Hwa Jin that she is merely a part of a growing harem and she can have several seats while the king and queen sort themselves out (눈‸눈)
Can't believe this drama just manages to get better and more exciting with every episode! When they announced it…
Same! At first I was so panicked at the thought of 20 episodes and each one over an hour long! But now I'm looking at how many we have left and I'm already sad cos I can see the end looming. Lol.
I honestly can't believe I'm still having this much fun 14 episodes in! This show is such an awesome blend of comedy & intrigue that I am hooked from start to finish and I always end every episode longing for more. Each time I want to scream at Bong Hwan/So Yong for being so obtuse, she does something wonderful. Ep 14 was no exception. I can't wait to see what happens in the royal court with the king and queen finally getting on the same page.
Also, the fact that now everyone wants to murder So Yong except the king is just hilarious to me considering where they started. From the preview for ep 15, maybe the king can add eating ramyeon to his special dictionary.
