The people who showed up at her house are so funny to me, cos I would've asked them to show me when I told them to invest in the company. You made a choice based off of hearsay and now it's Ji Yun's fault? I would've read them all for filth.
Byeol remains my MVP. She steals every scene and I adore her.
Why wouldn't they just tell the boy who his mother-in-law is so he doesn't keep collecting poison from her? Lol. I don't see the reason for that lie when everyone in the village knows who she is and what their history is. It's the stupidest thing to keep hidden and there's no real reason for it because he loves his wife and he will forgive her anything.
I actually just want Tae Young to be selfish for once and just be happy for a little while with the man she loves, but I know she won't. I wish she'd take a break from all that responsibility and just have a fresh honeymoon and proper newlywed life like she would have if not for her tragic circumstances. But since we still have 7 episodes to go, there will be much more heartbreak in store for her and us.
I'm 16 episodes in and I don't get why Wen Xiao is always crying on the floor in every critical moment. If I took a shot for every time she weepingly calls "Xiao Zhuo" while staring helplessly at other people fighting, I'd be unalived so fast.
I liked this but I feel like the whole reason Dongjun and Dingzhi ended up fighting each other was so contrived.…
I just remembered how everyone let the royal family execute the Ye family for no reason and didn't bother to clear their name. That entire royal family should've been wiped out imo.
I liked this but I feel like the whole reason Dongjun and Dingzhi ended up fighting each other was so contrived. Also, I'm not going to overlook the fact that the war could've been avoided if Langya hadn't given the throne to his useless brother. He knew Wenjun didn't want to marry that toad since he was one of those who forced her to, so he should've put an end to his brother's ties to her as quickly as possible. Instead he allowed it to fester and let his brother have even more power. Don't even get me started on the idiocy of Yue Yao's sister. Dingzhi was always going to have a tragic end but tying it to the defence of such a useless human being made it even more annoying. I also think the fact that no one notable died along the way was quite ridiculous.
Finally, I didn't enjoy Yue Yao just turning into a meek housewife as soon as she and Dongjun got together. Or Wenjun always being a damsel in need of saving (I wish she'd just killed the prince herself but then there wouldn't be a stupid reason for Ye Dingzhi to die a stupid death).
I'm not pleased with the way the story went but it all looked really good and my favorite character turned out to be Li Changsheng/Nangong Chunshui cos he was so overpowered that nothing else mattered. I wanted to know what he wrote in the letter to the grand eunuch cos he kept saying read it carefully lol.
But you as a viewer knows that that company is a snake. We as viewers have the complete story because we've seen…
Her one experience of him was him forcing Han Ting to drink even though he said he was allergic to alcohol, and the only reason Han Ting did that was cos that dude was trying to force Ji Xing to drink. Why would she ever think he was someone she could do business with? Also, Li Li said in the previous scene that they had offers from many companies. Ji Xing simply chose that company to hurt Han Ting.
I wonder why everyone is upset with XYX. Didnt LiLi started the relation with him saying she is comfortable with…
Yeah, she said she didn't want anything serious and she was very clear about why, but he kept insisting that she could rely on him and that he was serious about her. He was the one who kept pushing to change the terms of their relationship. He made promises he couldn't keep cos he told her he wanted something serious but what he really wanted was something purely on his terms. If he'd left it at casual hookups, she wouldn't be upset with him.
However, I do agree that the wedding talk at the wedding was just too much but it allowed her to discover that he didn't have any plans to ever get married or have other kids.
I really can't feel bad for Ji Xing when she decided to sell shares to a snake. It would've been more sympathetic if she'd sold to an investment company and then it turned out the company was owned by Chang He. Instead, she walked herself into his office when she had many other choices, and decided to take his money when she knew not only the kind of person he was, but also what that would mean for Han Ting and Dongyang. For someone who claims to prize relationships above business, that was a prime asshole move and as it turned out, a stupid one too.
Also, looking for a love that is "I'll die for you" when she just had someone who made promises like that leave her at the first sign of trouble is just too ridiculous. All through their fight, I kept trying to understand the point of all the yelling. I get the anger over Hanhai, but everything else seemed excessive. Han Ting of course should've been honest about Hanhai, and that's a serious issue, but the whole thing about what love means to him and her was pointless to me cos nothing he said was wrong. Finally, that email she sent to the EMPLOYEES before even informing her partners that she was leaving??? Big yikes.
The restaurant scene in episode 18 made me laugh for several reasons. First, just everyone ordering "spaghetti" 😂 then it took them 84 years to bring Ji Xing her lone bowl of spaghetti 😂 I would've walked out too, damn ðŸ˜
Zeng Di gets more pathetic with each passing episode cos literally random strangers on the street can tell that Han Ting only has eyes for Ji Xing, but ol' girl keeps embarrassing herself over him. Not girl bossing the way she should at all. I can tell it's only going to get uglier as the drama goes on.
I'm enjoying the drama mostly cos of how adorable Ji Xing is, and how much I want her to succeed.
It was so funny to me how everyone kept talking about stopping Li Chuan from becoming a tyrant when they were responsible for how he turned out. SRQ unfortunately refused to actually learn from the past and allowed fear to control all his actions, leading to the disastrous end in the new life. PWX and Li Rong made an effort to change things and alter the result, especially PWX, and they finally got their happy ending, and they helped Chuan escape his doomed fate.
My only question is, what happened to the child? I was hoping for a glimpse after the time jump but they just acted like they didn't tell us Rong was pregnant lol.
I thoroughly enjoyed this drama and I'm so happy I gave it a chance.
Chuan is just there, drinking water, writing letters to his girlfriend and minding his business, but his father is busy plotting to get rid of him. Meanwhile the idiot emperor has been poisoned for years by his consort. He really is the worst sort of leader and father.
Consort Rou going totally nuts when she realized she'd been abandoned by the emperor was so entertaining to watch. I'm glad she got all that off her chest. Plotting to kill Li Rong and Chuan though and using that stupid princess to do it? Unfortunate.
I felt very sad for Rong and Chuan cos they haven't done anything to deserve this treatment from their father. They even went against the families to uphold justice, but their father doesn't care. This second life is turning out to be just as frustrating as the first, and I can see it's all the emperor's fault.
While I don't like Consort Rou at all, I love the way you can see her eyes shining with greed anytime she schemes. You can see the greedy wheels spinning in her head as she plots!
PWX is so petty but way too emotional for all this political angst 😂 I really hope their plans don't fall apart cos of SRQ. He may interfere and ruin everything now that he's seen Consort Rou doing things behind his back. I'm really enjoying the divorce too!
The emperor really is unbearably stupid. All the energy he puts into making his children jump through hoops to prove their loyalty could've been spent guarding against that snake he has in his bed. To be more upset that his daughter may have actually married a man who loves her, rather than the fact that the consort clearly brought a scammer to the palace to try and cause problems in the family...what a fool.
I wonder if PWX and Li Rong will really have to go through with a divorce since the emperor seems set on this path now. I totally understand why Li Rong suggested it as a last resort and if PWX wasn't so emotional, he probably would've suggested it too. I look forward to seeing how they can counter SRQ now that they have realised that he also has his memories from the past and he's scheming against PWX.
What did Li Rong do wrong though? She didn't compliment SRQ. She didn't invite him to play. She can't be openly…
You're talking about tomorrow's episodes and I'm talking about what happened at the banquet. FL stepped in to stop the consort's plan, SRQ joined in cos he wanted to. At what point was Li Rong supposed to criticize him? At the end, everyone spoke about them but she only spoke about her sister, then she and PWX teased each other. After the banquet she went to talk to Chuan then they went home. At which point was she going to say something to SRQ when PWX didn't even let her say hello to SRQ? Why is FL responsible for other people's gossip?
