Yeah but we didn't actually see their entire day together. Tai Chu probably went to the bathroom with her at some point. The main thing they wanted to show us was how uncomfortable the idea of being an instant parent made ZGD even though he wanted to overlook it. It was also for us to see his reaction to Rose's new reality. We know the child would've gone to the bathroom but we don't need to see that unless ZGD is the one taking her to the bathroom. At least that's my impression.

I think regarding Rose's parenting style, we've already seen that she encourages Tai Chu to take care of herself as much as she can - like when Tai Chu spilled milk and she let her clean herself up and that was a year ago. Even when deciding what to eat, she doesn't impose her will on Tai Chu, they make a game of it and fairness wins out. She also knows that ZGD may be a shit boyfriend, but he's a responsible person so yeah, she can go to the bathroom for 5 mins lol. If she can't trust him to sit at a table with her child for that small amount of time then what are they even doing there? Lolz.

I'm fully convinced that Xiao Heng is the reason for SYR's plan to marry Jiang Li. Even after murdering his wife and being with the princess, he cannot let go of his possessiveness amd jealousy. I love how Jiang Li keeps messing with his head even when he thinks he has something on her.

I also really enjoyed the emperor in eps 33/34. He was having a time! Like Xiao Heng, I think the emperor is well aware of what his consort did all those years ago. He just doesn't think it's important enough to care about right now. It made me think a little differently about the emperor ngl cos now he seems even more cold and calculating.

I don't know if I can follow the schedule for these final episodes so I'll just stay away until everything is out. That way I can enjoy the wild ride to the finale. As always, I simply adore Xiao Heng and Jiang Li together.

From what we saw, hers wasn't one of the massive laptops, so I guess I would've chucked it in with the kid's stuff in her shoes.

Well, they do say almost dying can change people so I was willing to let it go (also, they're running out of episodes and we still have a soulmate to meet lol). The part that irked me was her traveling and leaving her laptop behind. My laptop is the third thing in my bag, after my phone and wallet when I'm going anywhere so I just couldn't understand why she left it in Shanghai knowing that she was expecting to hear from the school too.

At this point, I'm begging ZGD to move on and leave me and Rose alone. Here I was, vibing with Rose on getting her freedom and re-entering the art world with a spectacular gallery, and here ZGD comes, like a bad penny. I skipped anytime he was speaking so I don't know where their relationship is, but at least man #3 is here and there are only a handful of episodes left, so I don't think I have to endure him for long.

I would love for Rose to have one truly blissful, equal, happy relationship, no matter how brief, because she's gone through enough and she deserves that. I hope that's what we get with the soulmate but I also know the cost will be heartbreaking.

I also want to say, objectively speaking, Rose did everything right in her marriage but FXW was on a path of self-destruction from the start so ultimately nothing could be done to save it. Questioning her getting her nails done is peak b***h behaviour from a weak, insecure and foolish man. I cheered when the divorce went through.

His mother was just a tool he used to monitor and control Rose so even if she wasn't there, he would behave exactly the same way. Notice how he sent his mother away when he wanted to keep Rose too busy to seek out a job. I know his mother is a nasty piece of work too, but I think his inferiority is just one aspect of his bad personality.

I'll also note that when Rose was throwing a fit over ZGD, everyone called her childish and insecure as well. Even her brother told her the world doesn't revolve around her and I remember seeing a lot of comments about what a spoiled brat she was. The difference is that she ended that relationship herself when she realized that they were too different whereas FXW just wants to put her in a cage to have his children and display at his pleasure.

I really love HZH and Su Su together and their relationship is sustaining me throughout the dark time of Rose's marriage to FXW as he continues to prove what a despicable human being he is. From the moment he sent his mother away just to stop Rose from getting more certificates or getting a job, my hatred for him doubled. I have never liked FXW but now, I'll pay someone to run him over with a handy white truck. Thankfully, the divorce is coming soon but I know he's going to make it as ugly and messy as possible.

Also, kudos to Rose for just taking her daughter with her to Beijing when she needed to travel. I already know FXW is about to lose his entire company because of his greed and I hope that is at least some leverage for when Rose needs to get away from him.

FXW crawled to a new low in eps 23-24 and I can't wait for Rose to be free of him and his jealous mother. He really wants to isolate Rose from everyone in her life and it's disgusting to witness. I feel very bad for Rose because things will only get worse before they get better but I am looking forward to his departure, even if their child means she will never truly be free of him.

Are we forgetting that he stalked her, lied to her and manipulated her into living with him so he could be the "good guy" she dates? He was never good. He's the type that says he's good because he's not cheating or physically abusive.

So many unintentionally hilarious moments in ep 4, like Mama Kang banging her head on the wall for...reasons? I'm going to give this show a serious chance cos it gives me Handsome Siblings vibes sometimes and I remember enjoying that a lot.

The pace can only be described as light speed and so many things are happening at the same time, and I have no reference cos I've never seen any of the original dramas so idk what all I'm supposed to think except through what I'm shown here. It's still fun though.

As soon as she said it, I knew HZH was going to install that bathtub. I wish Su Su had taken Rose seriously when she told her she needs to see a therapist to deal with her trauma cos it will keep rearing its ugly head and ruining her life.

Of course, FXW has proven to be the exact dirtbag I expected. He literally doesn't listen to Rose and just does whatever he wants, much like ZGD. He brought his mother to the house without discussing it with her, quit her job (meanwhile, what kind of misogynistic idiotic boss accepts a resignation by proxy???), insisted that she stay upstairs in her condition, and just brushes off everything Rose says no matter what. I was screaming at her to run back to Beijing now that she doesn't have a job to go to.

I'm worried about Su Su and HZH cos at least I know Rose will eventually leave that useless husband of hers, but the future is uncertain for my favourite couple 😭

FXW proposing because he's jealous and insecure and worried that he could lose Rose. Rose accepting because he's the safe, direct opposite of her tumultuous relationship with ZGD. This does not seem like a great combo to me. I believe Rose cares about FXW, but I still think she's with him because he's dependable, comfortable and puts her first above all else, which is what she thinks she wants in a relationship. It certainly doesn't bode well for the marriage but we already knew that.

As for ZGD, popping up 5 years later thinking he could just pick up where he left off is actually insane behaviour. Even if Rose was still single, why on earth would he think that she'd be interested in anything with him now? He should've listened to his father and just left her alone. Toxic a**h**e.

I'm loving Su Su and HZH together more each episode. They're so cute and I'm so invested in their happiness.

Random, but hearing the dialect that's so close to Korean threw me off for a second cos the kdrama section of my brain kicked in lolz.

Absolutely do not like man #2. Stalked Rose from school to her job and her hostel, manipulated her into moving in with him, and just won't leave her alone. Not to mention using her mother to get into her home when he knows she wants to be left alone. He makes me very uncomfortable and I'm already looking forward to their divorce.

I felt like the settlement of the Ye family arc was a bit abrupt, especially with all the innocent people who were killed just being swept under the carpet. The Li family is really a cancer that must be removed along with that psycho princess and XFF's evil ex. I'm glad the Ye family is fine though cos they all seem like genuinely good people, unlike the other side of the family. (Side note, why is it always the father's side of the family that's problematic? Lmao)

I don't see XFF reclaiming her identity no matter what, cos there's really nothing left for her in that role. I think she will clear her family's name, expose her ex for the cheating murderer he is, and bring his family down. That's all she can do for her past self now.

Much like Duke Su (even if he won't admit it), I also enjoy hearing Jiang Li say "Xiao Heng". I like that they're fully open to using each other and being used by the other as long as the terms are right. They're really a dynamic duo once they get going lol. I'm curious to watch their next play together and see how they weave the downfall of all our enemies.

I keep going back to ep 11 and the qin exam to keep my impatience at bay. I appreciated the Jiang sisters' performances for the amazing music we were gifted in that segment. I could rewatch that 1000 times and never get tired.

Her father is garbage. He did nothing to protect her but is always first to take credit for her accomplishments.
