If you put shiyi's name in chinese numbers, its 十一, and when you put that together it makes 土 (it pronounces as "tu").

And she made the name 大土 (datu) from the word 土 (tu).

Xiao Ju named him "Datu". And that scene was hilarious.

Oh! In ep 35, he came back after 5 years as the first customer in Xiao Ju's company who wants to take a *personal travel* and Xiao Ju was the best guide in her company. So the manager introduced her to him and he said to Xiao Ju, "I'm going to propose my girlfriend so I ordered this romantic journey. You'll take me to see the spots in advance."

But I think it was a lie, i don't even think the proposal was for Xiao Ju, it was just a lie to know her feelings towards him and to spend times with her. He just wanted to annoy her in that advance travel by saying her things or by doing what she loved to do when she was young (example -
•Xiao Ju said before in ep 26 that Heart shape helps for telling your feelings. So Shi Yi asked her in ep 35 - what if he made a heart shape in the beach to tell his feelings to his girlfriend.
•Xiao Ju thought he brought the shell hairpin again for her which was broken before. But he didn't buy that this time but brought a bracelet by saying his girlfriend doesn't love shell hairpin.
•Xiao Ju loved to take photos and so he took so much photos of beach and Xiao Ju got annoyed by that. Even she was embarrassed a little in that scene Because she thought he clicked her photos but when she posed for that he said he took the photos for his girlfriend so side please.😅)

I don't think he was in a hurry to propose her. He just wanted to check her feelings.

Hello, it is out of topic but i want to know how the ratings work here ?
I know about the 4 type of ratings but which one shows above that orange square (that everyone can show without touching it) ??
I still can't figure it out.

For main lead couple, it was open ending. But you can guess easily what will happen in their life in the future (so in that way, i can say it was happy).
For 2nd lead couple, happy ending in the paper/story/another world.
For 3rd lead couple, open and sad ending.
- I don't know about the special clip. But some viewers said that clip indicated a happy ending for all of them :)

It was not about forgiving her. He never blamed her in the first place. After the misunderstanding, he actually blamed himself by saying "I am such a fool". (Because he thought in ep 33 that xiao ju started to like him which was actually true. And cancelled his leaving and tore the paper also).
And i believe from what i understand his character, he left that time for her good. He didn't want to force her anymore to love him back . (I have to assume it as It was unknown in the drama that why he chose to leave that time, what was in his mind actually? Before this, there were so many misunderstandings but they always cleared quickly, also none of their friends helped Xiao Ju to find the actual reason of his sudden leave. Not even cheng lang, where it was always cheng lang who helped them to clear their misunderstandings and helped them to show their own mistakes.)

And in ep 35 , he transferred back as he should. His mom dad was also there.
( And I also believe in the novel they will also meet again, after all they are neighbors , both xiao ju and shi yi's mom dad have good relationship with each other. So they will obviously face each other in the future, no matter how long it will be! May be that time they both will change. )
But that come back was surprised for xiao ju as he acted like they didn't know each other very well. And did some things to her also that was kind of cruel. (Imagine the person you love, tell you to help him for his proposal to his girlfriend.) If i was in her place, may be i would have cried (for the way he treated her).

Edit - i should say after shi yi became her tutor for tutoring her guitar.

Sadly, She never had a chance to tell her feelings to SML.
And about the romance part, it is a slow burn, this drama doesn't actually focus on the romance/love part but it focus on their friendships and their youth journey. (It will be better if you think Xiao Ju, Cheng Lang, Shi Yi, Le Tao, Lin You as a main lead, all of the characters are equally important here. And the drama also focus on all of their life.)

He has a sweet tongue , So sometimes it does seem like he has feelings. But he hasn't (:
