I love the last part of ep 34, it shows how supportive Le Tao is! And what xiao ju narrated in the last, it was so beautiful and sad.
Personally I do love episode 35, it was meaningful for me. - first, to show xiao ju and cheng Lang's brotherhood. - to show the common thing between cheng lang and xiao ju, they both say "That's good" and smile, but you can feel their pain. - in the 2nd half of the episode shows how their (xiao ju and shi yi's) role has been reversed now. - If you rewatch the scene again, they bring back their old memories - ⭐That "Lu Ti Wei" ⭐Shi yi said (to xiao ju) that - what If he placed shells on the beach to make a heart shape to tell his feelings.. This is what xiao ju said in ep 26 "Hearts fits for telling your feelings" (And this was also the reason why he choose heart shape chocolate box back in that time). ⭐Xiao ju asked him "Is that enough?" When shi yi was taking too much photo of beach. This scene is same as when they were in trip in ep 25, xiao ju was taking too much photo and shi yi said there "is that enough?" ⭐ After that shi yi replied to her"please don't disturb my creating. OK?" Same as xiao ju replied to him in ep 25. ⭐ That "come down here" and "come up here", In ep 3 it was shi yi who was saying "come up here" and xiao ju , "come down here". But in ep 35 it was opposite.
I said in my previous comment, I did support his acts for testing her feelings (by saying he had girlfriend and was going to propose her) because when he left he didn't know about her feelings so this time before his proposal he needed to figure it out. But I just can't stand that immature mistake!

You mentioned the part of her reaction on 29, i said mine POV of her reaction tho. If we see the situation, her reaction was relatable and realistic and do justify it. And in that episode, they both equally involved for what they created! They both were wrong! And also they had lack of communication. (As for xiao ju, she believed what she witnessed and what she heard and jumped to the conclusions, and as for shi yi, he was stuck to the word of shen dou that he had to be a gentleman to make her falls for him. And thought that xiao ju saw him as a bad person {but it was not the truth} )
And i didn't empathise only her pain through out the past 5 years, but i empathised both of them(they both were in pain tbh). I do support the separation. It was needed for both of them to know that they can't be with others (as for xiao ju she said she tried to date 2 times but she felt it was boring, and for shi yi, we can guess he also tried to move on but never able).
But after 5 years, i still surprise by the fact that they both didn't change,no one, not xiao ju not shi yi, no character development (of both) , shi yi was the same as before (like to tease her, like to ruin her mood🤷🏻♀️). I was supporting him for testing her feelings by saying he had girlfriend and wanted to propose. I supported his every acts but not the one what he did in the beach. He was 27/28 years old, but he didn't have any responsibility!! He invited her in the beach but he didn't come! He had time to send her breakfast and the gift through the waiter but he didn't have time to tell her that he couldn't come there so no need to go there. He could infrom her about his emergency through the waiter or could send her message tho!! (I'm still thinking why the director added this one, to make more scene (?) It was such a good chance, xiao ju literally got the hint that it might be 'she' whom he mentioned as 'girlfriend'). But They just ruined a good chance for them to tell each other about their past!!
*she coose to stay silent - (Isn't she always like that?! When she saw that lin you and cheng lang got closer to each other, she also choose to stay silent and helped him to confess his love to lin you and hurted herself ,not others, also got hurt by that. So now also she is like that.) when cheng lang (after getting the news of shi yi's transfer) encouraged her to tell her feelings for him even if the result would not be a satisfied one. She rejected by saying he might have a girlfriend whom he wanted to marry. (So as her perspective, she didn't want to steal someone's boyfriend and ruin someone's happy life.) And what i know the novel is about self love. If she can choose herself then she can be happy. So the drama also, if she could be a selfish one and not thinking about others if she thought about herself just one time and told her feelings then she could not get hurt! (Even that time if she could be brave and if she could face shen dou bravely then she could make up the misunderstanding between them)
Half away through the show, I was going to give it a 9 rate because it reminded me of When were young-which is…

He did the confession on a wrong time and in a wrong place. - He didn't behave well with her friend (Chang Le) and indirectly insulted her just because Chang Le complimented her and that was the main reason why she got angry on shi yi in the party! He always makes her angry for no reason! - The way he snatched her phone and grabbed her was completely wrong (i can't romanticized that part). If someone else had been in her place, she would have slapped him but she didn't do anything even tho she was ready to beat up someone(she was angry on huang jun and wanted to hit him). Why do you have confess your feelings in such a condition where the whole atmosphere was already wrong because of huang jun?! - Xiao Ju said she needed time. And after returning her room, she emailed him about to stop chasing her and be friends forever in a good way. But straight cut, shi yi rejected her rejection! So she planned that CL things to make him move on. She knew that it would hurt him, but she did (this is the only wrong thing she did intentionally as she didn't want to give him any false hopes). - After that, it was not xiao ju's plan to act like a couple but it was shi yi's. She did ask him to stop acting like a couple. And stop the things there. But again shi yi rejected. - He knew that she would get angry if he announced that in public, but he did. He told about their date to his basketball teammates and then again to the girl in the library. Xiao ju was the witness of 2 cases, so it was easy for her to misunderstand him. - If we are in FL place without knowing how each of the characters think and feel, then we would be able to understand why she acted and behave in certain ways. For me, she has done nothing to hurt the ML intentionally (except the CL thing). She did everything to keep their friendship safe. So i can't blame her. I understand why she did that. It's hard for some people to understand her but if you put yourself on her shoes, you can feel her. She actually cared for him. And in ep 30, She was trying so hard to hold on to all her friendships tightly and trying to make it like before. I can sense her dilemma and worry.
Obviously it would take that much because this drama is about growing up and about to discover who you are, what you actually like/want and what you don't...
I'm again rewatching it and again laugh at the same scene where shi yi's mom and cheng lang's mom were fighting for making xiao ju their daughter-in-law XD

i know this is a drama.. but man.. if the ending happened in real life. the bride would be so mad they stole her…
Not really (not everyone). Just like i said here before also. It depends. it depends on the dynamic and how close you are and personalities (and maybe culture). It is also happened in real life. I've seen a lot of friend circles where it's encouraged and welcomed as long as you have their blessings, and it doesn't take anything away from the bride's and groom's day. It only adds to it. And in here Le Tao and Xiao Ju's friendship was selfless. Le tao was always a supportive friend of xiao ju. (Even you can find videos of these type of propose in youtube also, may be they got inspire by those videos :))
I can't remember when she started to call shiyi dowdy. When did it start and why?
In Ep 4, she named him Datu. Bao bao told them that their (cheng lang, lin you, le tao, bao bao, xiao ju) names sound like foods, then xiao ju said "Only Shi yi's an exception." (Then after some times) She said "Shi(十) and yi(一) from the word tu(土), that means tasteless. Why don't we call him Datu (大土)?"
[ If you put shiyi's name in chinese numbers, its 十一, and when you put that together it makes 土(tu) which is dirt/dust in chinese. ]
May be before ep 13, she started to call him datu. (in ep 12, she cheered up him by calling him Datu, may be that was the 1st time she called him datu. i forget it!)
