It's like finding the best way to make the person who commits wrong to feel the consequence of their actions. Brutal but effective. If they were to punish 5th Princess, the punishment that can be meted out to her will not have a lasting effect on her to bring about change of behaviour and thought process. Furthermore, her parents are unlikely to kill her for her actions, even though her actions this time did not end in a fatality but CSS could've been killed by her actions. If the punishment didn't send her a very stern message to deter her from persisting with her current course in life, her views of human life of the ordinary person will eventually lead to many deaths.

It's similar with CSS. She is willing to be punished severely for acting rashly and without regard for the larger impact of her actions. So, despite receiving a beating for her actions, she will continue to repeat the same behaviour. But if the punishment for her actions is the deprivation of what she loves or if the punishment is meted out instead on someone she dearly loves (in this case, LBY), she will feel it much more than if she were to receive the punishment to her own body. And this will stop her from repeating the same behaviour in the future.

When she found out that LBY had beaten the men from 8 families in the time between when they had argued and when he's being brought to account by the Emperor, she couldn't be more impressed, delighted and fully supportive of his actions 😆😂 LBY definitely picked the right woman for himself.

He's stepped up his game, from only dishing out insults and sarcasm. Now he puts his position in the Ministry of Justice to good use by making sure not only is punishment carried out fully and recorded meticulously, but following up with the appropriate investigation as well 😆😂😂

Hahaha bring him in only for the revenge scenes.

Actually, in this episode, i finally can see a glimmer of why YS might be a good match for CSS, when LBY is exiled. He doesn't have LBY's raw power to deal with bullies, but he will also not shy away from protecting SS in extracting his pound of flesh, when the need arises.

Yes, each person is very different. And until one is in that relationship, it's difficult to really say how we will make that decision.

Maybe because I'm looking with a different set of lenses, based on own life experiences. Obviously, the hurt will be deep. But the intervening time of separation will allow for that hurt to dissipate, forgiveness to be worked out and for understanding and empathy to grow, despite that first feelings of betrayal and abandonment. And if we have that depth of love as LBY and CSS have, that would be what influences my decision. Because in this life, it is not easy to find the kind of partner that really is one's soul mate, failings notwithstanding. But, I'm a risk taker when it comes to relationships, and wouldn't settle for a 'safe and comfortable' marriage. If that is the only option available, I'd rather remain unmarried.

You've conveyed what i gathered from the scene too. I find it fascinating watching WL and ZLS in this drama. Sometimes, with audio off, the second or third time round.
LBY is a very challenging character to portray. He's very controlled in all manner of behaviour and speech, and yet, WL is able to convey his thoughts and emotions through his eyes and the most minute change in expressions.
And the way SS clung to him and wept, that just broke my heart. Also the way she asked, what if someone were to push you from behind? That conveyed so much of her vulnerability in that moment.
