In this episode had three murderers and death. Two of them were related in the past till now, always accused of something because of their status. The last one, because of some family and politics conflict maybe, ended up hanged and tortured like Jesus. At first I thought the last one was responsible for Pei Yi tragic past, bt now that is dead... I am suspecting about the aunt.

Boyfriend on Demand Episode 10
0 people found this review helpful
To begin with, let’s be completely honest: nearly half of the series is devoted to the concept of virtual boyfriends. While this focus is understandable—after all, it forms the core premise of the drama—the distribution of attention sometimes feels uneven. In particular, Seo Eun-ho, portrayed by Seo Kang-jun, receives a noticeably larger share of screen time than the other virtual boyfriends. While his presence is engaging, the amount of emphasis placed on his character occasionally feels excessive. In contrast, the other virtual boyfriend cameos are brief yet effective, appearing just long enough to serve their narrative purpose without disrupting the pacing.Turning to the central characters, Seo Mi-rae is played by Jisoo, while Seo In-guk takes on the challenging task of portraying two roles: Park Gyeong-nam and the customizable virtual boyfriend, Koo Yeong-il. Overall, the acting performances can best be described as competent. When I say “competent,” I mean precisely that—the performances are solid and serviceable, though not necessarily extraordinary.Seo In-guk’s acting, however, remains one of the more dependable aspects of the series. In his previous works, his performances have consistently stood out to me, and he continues that standard here. Playing two characters within the same narrative requires subtle differentiation, and he manages to create distinct identities for both Gyeong-nam and Yeong-il. While the script occasionally limits how much depth either role can explore, his performance still brings a level of stability and professionalism to the drama.Jisoo, meanwhile, often receives criticism regarding her acting abilities. Personally, I find much of that criticism somewhat unfair. In this series, she performs well within the scope of the character she is given. She delivers her lines convincingly and manages the emotional beats of the story with reasonable effectiveness. Additionally, her past work demonstrates that she is capable of stronger performances when given the right material. Her role in Snowdrop, for instance, showed that she can handle emotionally demanding scenes quite well. For that reason, I believe she did a commendable job here, even if the writing did not always provide opportunities for greater complexity. One narrative element that felt somewhat strange was the concept behind Yeong-il’s appearance. The idea that a customizable virtual boyfriend would have the exact same face as a real person—and that this coincidence would occur purely by chance—feels rather unusual. Admittedly, this plot device eventually becomes the central conflict of the story, so it cannot be dismissed as unnecessary. Nevertheless, it simply stands out as a somewhat unconventional choice within the framework of a romantic comedy. When it comes to romantic chemistry and tension, the dynamics between the characters vary considerably. For much of the series, the chemistry between Mi-rae and Gyeong-nam feels rather subdued. The emotional spark expected from a primary romantic pairing is largely missing. However, there is one notable exception: the scene leading up to their first kiss. That particular sequence stands out as one of the strongest moments in the drama. The tension, the subtle acting choices, the careful placement of hands, and the palpable sense of longing all combine to create a remarkably intense and memorable moment.Interestingly, the chemistry between Mi-rae and Yeong-il feels far more natural and engaging. It is quite fascinating to observe how two characters portrayed by the same actor can produce such different dynamics with the same female lead. While the connection between Mi-rae and Gyeong-nam struggles to fully resonate, her interactions with Yeong-il carry a surprising amount of charm and emotional spark.Overall, the drama succeeds as an enjoyable romantic comedy. It may not be exceptional or groundbreaking, but it manages to deliver an entertaining viewing experience. The premise is intriguing, the performances are respectable, and certain scenes leave a lasting impression despite the show’s inconsistencies. That said, the series suffers from a relatively low rewatch value. Once the novelty of the storyline fades, there is little incentive to revisit it—unless one simply wants a light and easy rom-com to pass the time.

Pursuit of Jade Episode 23

First ImpressionThis episode had such a fun mix of humour, reunions, and darker character moments.Episode ThoughtsThe episode starts with the FL and the thug boys successfully completing their mission to stop the scouts. In the process they accidentally set off the flare, which ends up being unintentionally hilarious. Proud of themselves, they loudly declare they are the “Northwest Pig Butcher Squad!” and return to the Old Man (Grand Tutor) absolutely delighted with their success. Even better, the FL is now openly calling the Old Man Master, which feels like a meaningful step in their relationship. Then we get a series of emotional reunions. The FL sees Mr Zhao again and is completely overwhelmed with happiness. What’s even funnier is how childish the Grand Tutor becomes watching their interaction. His jealousy leads to a ridiculous situation where both he and Mr Zhao end up in the infirmary. The reunions keep coming when Captain Li arrives. He’s clearly thrilled to find the FL and it’s becoming increasingly obvious that he has a huge crush on her. And he’s not the only one paying attention — Mr Jin (one of the thug boys) seems a little jealous and suspicious of Captain Li’s intentions.Meanwhile, the strategic situation worsens as the ML appears trapped on the mountain with no food, making the opposing side extremely smug. Someone needs to deliver food and medicine to him. The FL immediately volunteers, but Mr Zhao refuses, pointing out that she is no longer the same Butcher Girl she once was. Around the same time she finally learns that her little sister is safe, which may also be why she is willing to risk herself in such a dangerous situation. Her natural instinct to help others really shines here.On the darker side of the episode, we dive deeper into Qin Min’s backstory. The drama attempts to explain how he became the person he is, but even with the trauma he has experienced, he still comes across as completely irredeemable. Although he rescued Manager Yu from the flood, the situation only existed because he had chained her up in the first place. He consistently refuses to take responsibility for his actions. Before dying, the nanny remarks that Qin Min is behaving foolishly because of love for a woman. But honestly, what he feels toward Manager Yu doesn’t look like love — it feels like obsession. When he learns that Manager Yu wants him dead, it hardly feels surprising considering everything he has done to her and her child.Character NotesFemale Lead:Her compassion continues to define her character. Even after learning her sister is safe, she still volunteers to risk herself for the greater good.Male Lead:Currently stuck in a dangerous situation on the mountain, which raises the stakes for the coming episodes.Grand Tutor:His dynamic with the FL is growing stronger, and his childish jealousy during the reunion scene adds some great humour.Captain Li:Completely smitten with the FL and not even trying to hide it anymore.Qin Min:The episode tries to explain him, but nothing about his behaviour makes him sympathetic. His obsession with Manager Yu is deeply disturbing.Final ThoughtsThis episode balances comedy, character moments, and darker storylines really well. The “Northwest Pig Butcher Squad” moment alone made the episode unforgettable.Favourite MomentThe thug boys proudly announcing themselves as the Northwest Pig Butcher Squad after accidentally setting off the flare.Trope Check • Found family • Jealous mentor • Secret crush • Mission success celebration • Villain tragic backstory • Hero volunteering for a dangerous mission

Park showing up at daycare center is a bit creepy. Tae Hyeong showed up and Park sees him. Tae Hyeong should have stayed for UJu. Whether or not he was with Hyeong Jin, he of all people should have realized how important ‘his’ presence was for UJu. He feels unworthy because of his misunderstandings and criminal father, but he should truly think about how much he was needed by his nephew and Hyeong Jin. There is a lot of comparison between Amy Choo and husband to Tae Hyeong and Hyeon Jin. The husband knew every detail about his wife and she basked in that love without returning it in kind. Tae Hyeong saw his future in many respects. But he understands now that this is family. They are not without flaws and they don’t always return our sentiments as we’d like, but they’re our people anyways. Tae Hyeong picks up UJu and has a day with him. He sees the house a wreck and cleans up and has her rice cooked for dinner. He has even redecorated his perfect apartment to be UJu friendly. What he hasn’t done yet is fight for them. He still thinks staying out of the picture helps them more.😝🙄 Park has a good idea for their third date, he just had no idea that it would give Hyeong Jin better understanding of why Tae Hyeong felt the way he did about meals and people. His assistant overhears a phone call and puts his own interpretation on it. This turns out to be the incentive Hyeong Jin needs to admit her true feelings to Tae Hyeong. This has been a long time coming. We needed to see their growth personally, but the way the story was told made UJu seem lesser. The dating should have been in the background with caring for UJu front and center. There was much missed opportunity to keep the heart of the story its focus.

hell, didn't expect it to turn tragic so soon. was wondering there if Cheng Qing/Qing Long wasn't medicating the sister into madness - cause it was pretty clear he wanted Liu Yi, who requested that he marry his sister - cause he wanted them to be family & maybe cause Cheng Qing knew they couldn't be together, without a bread (or cause Liu Yi didn't love him in that way) he agreed to the marriage. but after marriage, the sister would want to be in a regular, loving relationship something Cheng Qing can't offer her. so the best way was to make her sick & then she is easier to deal with. but in-spite of her mental issues when she had good days, she knew that she wasn't in a loving marriage & that (worse) her husband loved another. *************there were also moments where i felt like Liu Yi loved Cheng Qing (& not talking platonically) but cause his older sister also fell in-love with Cheng Qing, he sacrificed his love for her. that would be one hell of a twist a very tragic one at that. ****************this ep started off as hilarious as the previous one was & then it turned tragic, now Liu Yi is on the run & idk if his gang gonna stand by his side or he gonna have to fight for his life. this is quite the roller costar i can't even predict what could come next. but i so am here for it...

First ImpressionThere’s a lot happening in this episode, but what stood out most was the growing bond between the FL and the old man.Episode ThoughtsThe FL continues protecting the old man, still unaware that he is actually the Grand Tutor and that she has effectively become his final disciple. Their relationship is developing into something really interesting — almost like a small family with the thug boys.To stop the enemy scouts they realise the dam must eventually be destroyed, even though it could cost innocent lives. The camps are given the choice to stay or leave, not knowing that staying could lead to certain death. In a touching moment, the old man gives up his chance to leave so that the FL can remain. Their dynamic is quietly becoming one of the most compelling parts of the story.Meanwhile Qin Min continues to prove he has absolutely no redeeming qualities. The nanny and his son have disappeared and Manager Yu clearly knows more than she is saying. Now that her son is out of harm’s way she finally challenges Qin Min, calling him out for always blaming others and refusing to take responsibility for his own cruelty. It’s obvious he doesn’t truly love anyone — not even the brother he claims to care about. On the action side, the ML launches a rescue mission for his little sister-in-law. The moment she calls out “save me, brother-in-law!” is priceless — especially the look on Sui Yuanhuai’s face. And just like that, yet another person now knows the ML’s identity. The ML ends up injured during the escape, but the retreat is incredibly satisfying — particularly when Sui Yuanhuai is tied to a horse and mockingly asked if he knows how to swim… right before the dam explodes.Back in the mountains, the FL and the thug boys return knowing the truth about what’s happening. Determined not to lose anyone else, she rescues the old man once again. He explains that the scouts must be stopped before they signal, so they split up in the mountains to intercept them.In an ironic twist of fate, the man responsible for getting the FL captured earlier turns out to be one of the scouts — and now she has him at knife point. What really shines in this episode is the FL’s natural instinct to care for the people around her. She works harder than anyone to protect them and make their lives easier. And although she never asks the Grand Tutor to teach her, she’s clearly learning from him in her own way.Character NotesFemale Lead:Her compassion and sense of responsibility define this episode. She refuses to lose another person and continues stepping into a quiet leadership role.Male Lead:Strategic as ever and clearly moving pieces behind the scenes. His rescue mission shows once again how capable he is, even though he ends up injured.Grand Tutor:A fascinating mentor figure. Without formally accepting her as a disciple, he’s already guiding the FL and shaping her growth.Qin Min:Still one of the cruelest characters in the story. His manipulation and refusal to take responsibility make him increasingly dangerous.Final ThoughtsThis episode does a great job balancing character development, action and political tension. The relationship between the FL and the Grand Tutor is becoming one of the most compelling parts of the story.Favourite MomentSui Yuanhuai’s stunned reaction when the ML is called “brother-in-law.”Trope Check • Secret mentor / hidden master • Found family • Strategic sacrifice • Secret identity revealed to another character • Villain humiliation • Fate bringing enemies together again

funny 1st ep, in-spite of all the violence this was hilarious & found myself laughing out loud throughout this ep. both mains r good looking, but the actor playing Liu Yi is just wow to look at & i love that he is tanned - which is frowned upon in most Asian countries - u gotta be as light skinned as possible, regardless of the character. *****************************************************but given the level of violence idk i have a feeling this gonna have a bad/sad ending, also Liu Yi is so pretty but idk she comes off like this fragile, tragic figure & her questioning love - i.e. Cheng Qing the man she married & remembered the scene in the night club, where he rested his head on Liu Yi, making me wonder if he was just tired & lacked sleep, or he just needed to rest his head on someone he truly loved. the fact he is married to Liu Yi's sister makes this situation messed-up.

Episode 23 kicks off with a bang, literally. The dam explodes and the rushing flood that traps the Sui Army is filmed so beautifully that for a moment it feels like you are standing right there watching chaos unfold. The water crashing through the battlefield looks intense and surprisingly real, making the opening scene a very strong start. On the emotional side, we finally get the reunion I have been waiting for as Chang Ning is rescued and brought back to camp with Xie Zheng. Seeing these brother and sister in law together again feels warm and comforting, and I realized how much I missed seeing Xie Zheng interact with kids. The way he treats Chang Ning is incredibly sweet, especially when he gives her the candy Chang Yu made. Their interactions feel natural and grounded, not overly dramatic but not distant either, just the right balance that makes their relationship believable. That said, this episode is also the first time I noticed a bit of a flaw in the cinematography. When the flood hits the Sui Mansion, the CGI looks noticeably off. The people caught in the water especially look strange, with faces that appear blurred and almost AI-like. It pulled me out of the moment a little, which is a shame because everything else about the scene was so good. Still, aside from that hiccup, the episode continues to deliver. We learn more about Qi Min, including his past and the tragedy surrounding his family, and while the backstory explains a lot, it still does not make his current actions any easier to accept. He remains a walking red flag and, for me, an irredeemable character. I honestly questioned Yu Qian Qian’s decision when she hesitated to stab him in the neck while he was giving her air underwater. The whole moment where she stops and he ends up taking the dagger to free her feels symbolic, but it is not a symbolism I particularly enjoy. Meanwhile, I finally understood that Nanny Lan was trying to bring Bao Er to Marquis Wu’an for protection, which says a lot about how much trust people place in him. It is actually interesting how both commoners and enemies view Marquis Wu’an as a strategic genius. Sadly, the chase ends tragically when Qi Min kills Nanny Lan after she desperately tries to stab him. What surprised me though is that he tells his guards to bury her properly. Considering she betrayed him, I expected him to leave her there without a second thought, but the fact that he still shows respect to the nanny who raised him reveals a small, unexpected soft side. The second half of the episode switches gears completely and becomes pure comedy gold. Uncle Zhao and Grand Tutor Tao competing for Chang Yu’s attention is hilarious. Grand Tutor Tao keeps trying so hard and keeps failing, while Uncle Zhao somehow gets her attention without even trying, and I could not stop laughing at their little rivalry. We also get a reunion between Chang Yu and Li Huai An that is honestly heart fluttering. Li Huai An clearly likes her and tries to close the distance by asking her to call him by his courtesy name, Wenkan. Chang Yu, being mindful of social status and propriety, still calls him Commandant Li, which somehow makes the moment even sweeter. The Pig Butcher Squad brothers watching this interaction and getting visibly annoyed at Li Huai An is peak protective brothers energy and it is absolutely adorable. I also loved the small moment where the falcon successfully finds Chang Yu and she whistles to call it down, receiving Xie Zheng’s message. Seeing her finally learn that Chang Ning and Yan Zheng are safe brought such a sense of relief. Overall, this episode flew by so quickly that I barely noticed the time passing. Between intense action, emotional reunions, tragic losses, and laugh out loud comedy, Episode 23 feels like a full course meal. Now I am just sitting here impatiently waiting for the next episode like someone who finished dessert but still wants another slice.

Review – Episode 1The first episode of Love You Teacher is a very strong and promising start. From the beginning, the series creates a warm yet emotional atmosphere that immediately draws you in. One of the most noticeable elements is the visual style, the bright colors give the story a lively, almost fairytale-like feeling that fits the tone of the series very well. The plot already hints that deeper themes will appear later, such as family, responsibility, and the realities of adult life and being a teacher. At the same time, the episode balances emotional moments with humor and sweetness, which makes it very enjoyable to watch. A major highlight is the acting by Perth and Santa. Perth delivers subtle and heartfelt emotions, especially in quieter scenes, like the phone call with Solar’s mother. Santa is impressive in the way he clearly distinguishes between Solar and Sun,you can immediately tell which side of the character he is portraying. Their chemistry also feels very natural, which makes Pobmek and Solar believable and warm as characters. Conclusion:A beautiful and engaging opening episode with warmth, humor, and emotional depth. It definitely makes you excited to see what happens next.

I wouldn't say much, but the cinematography, plot, shots, dialogues, music, and everything are just perfect. It's not your typical BL. This will touch the psychological aspects carefully. It's heartwarming although it will give you a rollercoaster ride. Please give it a try!

Episode 22 had my emotions doing cardio, one moment tearing up, the next moment clutching my imaginary popcorn in pure excitement. The opening felt a little abrupt with Bao Er fleeing alongside Qi Min’s nanny while Yu Qian Qian is suddenly tied up and held captive in the Sui Mansion. It left me wondering what Qian Qian’s actual plan for Bao Er is and how she even came to trust the nanny in the first place. Then again, considering that in the previous episode she and Qi Min were basically having a romantic spa date in the bath pool and now she is trussed up like a suspicious dumpling, it pretty much confirms Qi Min already knew she would try to escape and never truly trusted her. Toxic Sui family dynamics aside, this episode also marks the glorious formation of what I would lovingly call the Pig Butcher Squad: Chang Yu, Ji Yuan Bao, Man Di, Man Wu, and Man Cang. The reveal that the old grandpa at the dam construction site is actually Grand Tutor Tao Yi, the former Minister of Works and also Xie Zheng’s mentor, was such a pleasant surprise. What made it hit harder was knowing he was fully aware that staying at the construction site was basically a death sentence since Xie Zheng and his army planned to blow up the dam to trap and annihilate Sui’s forces. Even when General Tang offered him a chance to leave under the excuse of going to the front lines, Grand Tutor Tao quietly gave that opportunity to Chang Yu instead, without telling her that it was actually to save her. That moment alone nearly broke my tear ducts, but the emotional damage did not stop there because Ji Yuan Bao immediately traded their stay slots so he could go with her, saying they are family. At that point they only thought they were heading to the front lines, and honestly those scenes made me cry like someone playing a sad violin right next to my heart. And then the ending came in like a cinematic mic drop. Xie Zheng arriving with the Blood Robe Cavalry Guard to rescue Chang Ning and lure the enemies into the soon to be flooded zone after the dam explodes was absolutely insane in the best way possible. The war action sequence was chef’s kiss. Aside from Zhang Ling He looking stunning and commanding as ever, the camera angles and the dark, tense mood of the shots were beautifully done. The storytelling in this segment flowed so well too. Xie Zheng’s battlefield entrance was straight up hot, the kind that radiates charisma from ten miles away. Chang Ning calling out “Jie Fu, save me!” was oddly adorable in the middle of all that chaos, and Sui Yuan Qing’s completely fooled expression was unintentionally hilarious. I also loved Xie Zheng’s expression when he saw Sui Yuan Qing grabbing Chang Ning’s face and tossing her aside, concerned but still composed, calculating his next move like the level headed strategist he is. It was nice to see the brother sister dynamic between Xie Zheng and Chang Ning again. The choreography of the moment when Sui Yuan Qing threw Chang Ning into the air to kill her and Xie Zheng saved her by pushing her with his spear toward his guard Xie Wu was pure gold. My adrenaline shot up instantly. Xie Zheng even got injured in a fatal spot while saving her, which honestly made the moment even better because it reminds us he is still human, and that Chang Yu being his weakness also means Chang Ning matters to him as family. But even injured, this man kept going like a war drama version of “I’m still standing.” After Chang Ning was safe, the real fireworks started with Xie Zheng and Sui Yuan Qing battling on horseback with their spears. I was practically screaming and fangirling at my screen like I was watching a live championship fight. And the image of the now pale but determined Xie Zheng deliberately luring the enemies toward the flood zone with Sui Yuan Qing chasing him on horseback was just wow. I have to give major applause to Director Zeng Qing Jie because the cinematography and framing in that entire sequence were absolutely fantastic. This episode did not just move the plot forward, it delivered emotion, tension, and action in one powerful package.

ugh this was freakin adorable & loved how the group became friends, really liked Ji Yu's bff so am happy the added a potential love interest at the end. this was such a sweet BL, not too much drama but enough to keep u interested & i really enjoyed the subtle attraction that was building throughout this BL until the end. & the kisses were sweet - very chaste but sweet all the same (maybe the 2nd kiss should've been blurred out as it didn't fit the atmosphere that was building) but i really enjoyed this & i will for sure watch this whenever i need some comfort, feel good entertainment.
