maybe i am reading this wrong but did Qing Lang have a crush on Chang Yang's older brother? & now he has developed a crush on Chang Yang??? but i didn't get his lashing out of comparing him to his ex (the one that backstabbed him) did that guy betray their friendship cause he was afraid to be with Qing Lang in a romantic relationship? cause i thought he was jealous of Qing Lang's success & wanted to sabotage him. i also assumed that they were more then friends behind closed doors. guess i didn't get it right - unless i missed something. **********************************************************************************************the 2nd couple makes me uneasy & it's not them or rather it's the aggressor - he is coming of shady & i donno why but i don't trust him. also feels like he is playing with the other guys feelings cause he noticed that even though he is standoffish, it's a front & it's pretty easy to get under his skin - not to mention he is attracted to him. hope he isn't playing him

Ugh. Annoying cliche' drama plot tropes galore!

This episode is all about the writers leaning into all kinds of very annoying plot tropes to contrive drama. We have an absolute ton of misunderstanding-fueled over-reaction trope. We have plot-induced stupidity in large doses as the FL stupidly falls back into the influence of creepy Du Lei, as the latter blatantly stalks her and pumps air into the should-be-flat tires of his wanna-be-love-triangle. How can she be so stupid as to not see through this lying piece of crap by now is ridiculous and requires a suspension of disbelief. She's just plain acting so stupid and foolish for trusting this creep. And we have noble idiocy in play by the ML as well. A whole bunch of contrived drama with a current purpose of to separate the leads simply so we can watch them come back together again. Oh and of course we get another awful aggressive toasting-to-get-people-smashed scene to put the FL in danger so the ML can rush in to save her. The aggressive toast/drinking trope is one of the most disgusting tropes that keeps getting used in c-dramas. I guess the shows collectively are trying to impress on people just how awful this 'tradition' is?

With this episode Sriyada receives packages and the delivery boy collapses from heat and exhaustion. They try to give him one of their boxed lunches and then get a lesson on why they are unhealthy with all the oil. He pieces together a healthier box from others. Another girl ate like he did and it was called thoughtless food. They visit the home of the delivery boy and learn why his preferred food was most thoughtful. His father was a musician that ate and acted however he pleased. It resulted in failing health and all his musician fans and friends left him to his family that he had spent years ignoring. They have been taking care of him faithfully in spite of his poor behavior in the past. He is now grateful for his wonderful wife and faithful son. Sriyada and Chengtu were walked through the process of making pig fat. When used properly and in small amounts, it is not unhealthy for food. She showed them how to cook eggs and keep the yolk soft and how to crush basil first to release aromatics before adding to the meat. Even tho this dish was similar to the ones they had ordered, there was a distinct difference in oil amount and quality. They showed cooking in oil with carcinogens vice freshly made , small quantity and throwing away after use. It does make you think about all the extra bad things that might be included in takeaway foods from lazy habits with cooking oil. At the end they give the recipe and show the cooking techniques to make the dish successfully.

i had a great fucking time which is why I’m confused

what a great ending. to me ，I’ve never seen the gokaigers as super_strong soldiers ，which i can imagine you can say many past sentais were more than just raw power but what i mean by this is it’s less about them leveling up to over+come the zangyack & more about each of them growing together as living people with hopes ，dreams 7 fears ，which is what i always enjoyed seeing from the sentai ensemble casts. i feel like this is more focused on the people whether they’re the human or the civillian. & i feel like all six of them played their part perfectly ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ i especially enjoyed gai’s placement here as somepony who spent all his time looking up to the super sentai & now in a team of anti+sentais determines his own path to forego what the previous rangers wish for & make his own dream come true ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ & again they’re never postured as taking down the big bad through combat prowess but because they’re sneaky back+handed pirates who perservere for opportunity & ia ppreciate that the most. i think they finished their show with no ends loose. i think all six of them were incredibly established & thoughtfully challenged & combined perfectly. i loved seeing them come full+circle to the beginning & emerging & re+emerging from the rubbles of earth to up+lift the people. this has been a great final lap.
