this was a really good final ep, there wasn't much filler & everything was smoothly sorted out. pity Ji Hwan's father was so stubborn, but i guess he knew there was no other life for him then the mob life & he didn't want to drag his son into that life again, so he had to cut ties with him. sad but also sweet, as finally he acted like a father.*********************************************************************************************************************************************this was a cute drama, really loved the guys that surrounded Ji Hwan, what he lacked as a child he created by taking in those guys & they were a true loving, caring, family.

this ep was so freakin sad, my heart broke…

this ep was so freakin sad, my heart broke for Ji Hwan & it kept breaking the more this ep progressed. (┬┬﹏┬┬)as is was annoyed at Eun Ha at the start, she Always just sits around watching the show only commenting on any situation afterwards. at the start i got it, as she didn't know who was against whom & she was (maybe) shocked frozen. but this her modus operandi where Ji Hwan is involved, even after she started dating him when he went to kneel before Mi Ho's parents & got talked down too, cause he an ex-mobster. did she intervene - stand up for her man? no she turned mute, until they were alone. then she made a joke about it being easy for him to drop to his knees. ******************************************************this time too, not only did she just cradle Jang as if she couldn't put him down & leave him to Dong Hui, & rush to Ji Hwan showing him she was ok - trying to tell him to calm down. no she just watched. then abandoned him to the cops saying he passed by & came to help? ashamed much? *****************************************************************************************even in the ER she wouldn't leave Jang the sec she knew he was alright it was more important to sit by him then go see her man? her rushing to the station hrs later - why the sudden change of heart? sorry but nah - this annoyed me*****************************************************************************************************************************************as Ji Hwan the main i doubt he gonna die, maybe this is what will make his father give-up. idk if that man is capable of caring (to have a change of heart) considering he has gotten rid of countless men in his life time as a mob boss. who knows... if he does then it's more cause this drama ending lol

What's the backstory? And really, save the slave masters?

The plot keeps twisting and it's certainly not an obvious narrative, but at this point I find myself increasingly annoyed because there are all these villains and none of the backstory is explained. Even with Sang Qi, the love story is only told at the very end which makes it harder to make the connections while the other aspects of the narrative continue. It would be a much smoother narrative (and enjoyable experience) if the backstory was better interspersed. Finally, the depiction of the spirit slave masters as kind and lovely is really messed up. They seem to think it's ok to completely oppress an entire race to keep peace and instead of that being challenged, it's the ones who free the spirit clan who are the problem. Fine, revenge is not the solution, but nor is making the enslavers the heroes.

i feel so bad for Ji Hwan, he has worked so…

i feel so bad for Ji Hwan, he has worked so hard to make something of himself & help the ex-mobsters that left that world. but his father is hell bent on dragging him back into that world. idk what he can do to make him stop, i doubt he will be able to send him to prison unless someone in his fathers gang decides to "turn". how else can he fight his father. he not gonna stop as he doesn't see anyone as competent as his son currently working for him. or maybe it is a blood thing - he wants his progeny to succeed him. ******************************************************************************************************************************************just hope that now cause Prosecutor Jang is hurt, the cops wont try to pin it on Ji Hwan, cause he was in the vicinity.

Precious tomatoes

Best episode thus far. The 23 minute length of the show seems like only 5 minutes. Highlights for me include: Subaru expressing outright jealousy over Madoka's and Rihito's trick photography kiss; fake boy-love kiss between best buddies Subaru and Tomoya; the revealing of Madoka's love for tomatoes; Lily's long, light, and luminous legs; Kao-nashi-Kari-Kari Kaji Kuro Kanojo (6 K's!!!!!!), which translated to English would be the Hidden-faced, Crunchy-snack loving, Firestarting, Dressed-in-black Woman; Subaru's and Madoka's first mutually consensual touch scene, in the form of a piggy-back ride; Madoka, running to Subaru's aid once again, recalling his heartfelt words in a letter accompanying his present to her; and best of all, Madoka falling in love with Subaru while falling into his arms, without even realizing it. That was a mune-kyun (heart-tugging) scene to remember...

Saved by Fukuten

Madoka reflects on going out of her way to look for Subaru. She can't believe that her actions can mean that she's developing feelings for Subaru. Lily is so cute when she describes Rihito to Subaru without giving away his identity, by saying he looks like a weasel. We gain a better understanding of Madoka's past when she recounts to Subaru her story of being saved by Fukuten. It's an unexpected, touching moment in a romantic comedy! Also, Subaru's "ojiichan" proves himself to be one cool Gramps. And his Right-Hand Man Richard, who makes me think of Bruce Lee's character Kato in The Green Hornet, is not bad, either. Back to the main couple, though: their work together in developing an idea for a new line of kids' apparel brings Subaru and Madoka even closer. He tells her how much she's inspired him of late. The he goes off to retrieve a present he is about to give her. Madoka catches herself breathing heavily, with a self-questioning look on her face. She's probably wondering "Why am I ventilating so much?" But up on his cloud, Cupid murmurs "Tsk, tsk, tsk," shaking his head once again. He snaps his fingers, and suddenly Rihito shows up, sitting with Madoka. Then he strikes Subaru with an Arrow of Jealousy when he witnesses what he thinks is a kiss between her and his rival weasel.

Dangers of riding trains

Outside in the rain, after a brief squabble about an umbrella, Subaru grabs Madoka and tells her he loves her. "Not so fast!" cries Cupid, as the love god shakes his head and instantly sets up a wall between the two. The two look at each other aghast as they both vehemently deny that it can be possible. And then Rihito comes to take Madoka away. It is yet too soon. Subaru feels the pangs of jealousy. Lovely Lily joins in on the action, convincing Subaru that she become his love advisor regarding Madoka. The whole train thing was totally hilarious, as Gramps' warnings about riding trains all came true for Subaru. But this is all Cupid's doing once again, directing Subaru into trouble, just to have Madoka come to him when he is down. Her actions betray her real feelings, but she is blind to them. And again, Subaru jumps the gun in trying to kiss Madoka, only to strike out in similar fashion to episode one. That makes two outs for him in that department. Could the third time be a charm?
