new romances and new vibes

episode kali ini benar-benar berbeda dari seluruh episode yang ada, romansa baru. Dan saya di sisi lain menyukainya, ini sangat-sangat baru dan punya perasaan yang berbeda. Jika sebelumnya dipenuhi dengan kegembiraan, namun kali ini sangat berbeda. Saya sebenarnya tidak berfikir bahwa series ini dapat memberikan vibes baru ini, karena pada dasarnya series ini kan emang series good mood vibes bgt, tapi ternyata series ini bisa memberikan vibes yang lain bahkan sama bagusnya dengan vibes utama. Series ini menampilkan scene yang pas, tidak berlebihan dalam menyampaikan pesan, perasaan beresonansi secara alami ; ini episode yang baik, namun sangat menyebalkan jika series ini dirilis 1 episode saja setiap minggu jika episode yang satu ini memberikan dampak untuk penonton selama satu minggu penuh, saya tidak sabar menanti episode selanjutnya karena jujur saya lelah dengan perasaanku saat ini ; bahkan sebelumnya saya nonton the on1y one series kemarin, perasaan saya benar-benar dihajar 2x.

Good episode with only a little filler

This episode was fun for the most part, though my patience with Yoreum is already wearing thin.In the beginning Yoreum, Itsuki’s “first love” for high school reappears; the Korean girl previously lived with Itsuki and her parents during high school as part of some exchange program, and apparently, they were close. Now a famous celebrity, Yoreum has returned to Japan – obviously to reconnect and court Itsuki, having recently confessed publicly that she’s gay. Itsuki tells her right away that she is already in love with someone else, but Yoreum won’t take no for an answer, especially as Itsuki tells her they are not dating because Fuyo is still married. She hugs Itsuki without permission, and that of course is the time when Fuyu arrives at the café, misinterpreting the frankly questionable situation and storming off. Itsuki runs after her, but apparently Fuyu is too quick in her high heels for her. The next day, Fuyu is visiting the Game development studio she was the boss of in S1. They are still working on “Tennyo Sekai”, and the creator of that comic strip isn’t actually the college-aged woman we met in S1, but rather her younger sister, who is still in high school (I assume this means we’ll still visit “Dynamic Dream” in S2, and the original actress playing Zhang Shulin wasn’t available for S2, because why else would the show essentially recast this minor role).Itsuki, meanwhile is confusing salt and sugar at her café – so, she’s clearly still affected by her Tiff with Fuyu, while her former co-workers assure Fuyu, that Itsuki’s heart only belongs to Fuyu. But they also acknowledge that her rival Yoreum is really popular and successful. Yoreum, meanwhile calls her team to find out who this Fuyu even is.Later, Itsuki awaits Fuyu at her hotel, wants to make her understand that there’s nothing between Yoreum and her, a conversation that ends with Itsuki exclaiming loudly “The only person I love is Fuyu!”. Fuyu quickly gets in an elevator before anyone can see that she really liked that statement – but then the elevator breaks down. I’m wondering if there’s some technical problem with Japanese elevators in general (as the same thing happened in S1), while Itsuki tries to calm Fuyu, who is claustrophobic, down. This works in the beginning, but as then the power cuts out and Fuyu is sitting in the dark, she’s springs into action, breaks open the elevator door and frees Fuyu. Then they are having dinner in Fuyu’s hotel room. Fuyu at first apologizes to Itsuki for causing her pain by being with her while still technically married (as Yoreum just had called her accusing her of this), but Itsuki vehemently denies this. The having a cute dinner, feeding each other, and almost kiss – but then, Fuyu’s homophobic mother is outside the hotel room. Fuyu’s telling Itsuki to hide.Overall, the second episode was mostly as good as the first, though I didn’t really care for the revisit to “Dynamic Dream”. And while Yoreum claims Itsuki and her are linked by “Inyeon” – the Korean term the doesn’t really have a translation but could be interpreted as “soul mates” – her actions don’t really fit that description. If Itsuki doesn’t fall for her in some way, this could get annoying really soon. I’m actually more excited for Fuyu’s resolute mother, who caused the first breakup of the two lovers. Fuyu has her work cut out for her if she wants to change that battleship’s direction. 😊Anyway, I’m excited for the next episode!

Keeps getting better

I love everything about this episode other than some minor cringing at the zombie acting. I’m glad I got to see more of Taichi’s past. Learning about how he began to live with his grandpa gave me insight on why he is so concerned with money; I’m guessing he doesn’t want to be a burden to his grandpa. I also loved his interaction with the girl Miho or Miko. A lot of times, in media and real life, I think people with disabilities are objectified and romanticised. It’s like they’re no longer just a person, they need to be taken care of and pitied, like from episode 2 when the girl from Kohei’s high school took the trash from him just because he’s HOH. I was getting very annoyed with Miho ranting about her book and was so happy/proud of Taichi when he shut that down. Kohei is more than his disability; he’s not some character for Miho to live out her storybook fantasy. This combined with the scene at the end when Kohei didn’t hear Taichi talk about his birthday hamburger patty, and asking Taichi to repeat it were so impactful to me. What Taichi said was deeply personal and he had probably never told anyone before, but he still repeated it for Kohei when he asked.

Slow and sweet

Not a fast paced episode and I’m guessing not a fast paced drama. I think it’s a nice breather from some of the more intense dramas out there. I love Kohei and how even though he’s a loner, he’s not grouchy or fully antisocial. I love Taichi and his sense of justice. As for the episode itself, I think it’s a good starter for the story; I didn’t know much about it when I began and I feel like I have a good understanding without being overwhelmed with exposition or meeting a whole bunch of characters at once. That said, I never love when shows start with a scene that’s “now” then jump back to when everything begins. I wish they had just started from Kohei and Taichi’s first meeting, but I get that’s to make the scene more impactful later.

penuh romansa banget mirip film YNEH, entah kenapa setelah tau producernya sama saya faham kenapa bentuk ceritanya seperti ini, tapi jujur saya menyukai endingnya, jujur saya menyukai semua jenis ending - asalkan memang pas. episode kali ini sangat melelahkan emosi, semua scene membuat saya benar-benar lelah sampai meneteskan air mata, semuanya terasa realistis, semuanya terasa rumit. saya menikmatinya ; sungguh perasaan romansa yang terbaik! saya tahu kenapa harus stan huang yang menjadi shi yu, dan ternyata inilah alasannya, season 2 akan menjadi meledak-ledak. Series ini sangat bagus, punya life meaning yang bagus, terbaik. Ini bukan hanya sekedar bL tapi romansa drama yang luar biasa.
