This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans Episode 8

ironic that in this last ep, i got stuck - kept stopping cause i was seeing red! Oab found out about Plawan's deal with Methas after their 1st night together!!! he could at any stage, confront Plawan & put a stop to their budding relationship & the competition. but he chose not only to keep quite, but further deepen their relationship & if that wasn't enough, after naming Plawan the winner (when Plawan tried to back out), he shut him down & slept with him. while knowing all along, that he was gonna throw the truth in his face (after f*cking him) & Plawan the bad-guy?! who needs to run after Oab's ass apologizing & begging to be taken back - really?!??? ***********************************************************************************************if Plawan betrayed Oab, what Oab did to Plawan wasn't bad? he knew all along that he wasn't capable of overlooking Plawan's betrayal & chose to use him sexually & emotionally - why? at least Plawan started off disliking Oab & was desperate for money. IMO what Oab did was worse - especially when u add all the gaslighting done by him & he the adult in this equation. big baby then goes & opens a restaurant not far from his old one -why? this passive aggressive sh*t really rubbing me the wrong way. if Plawan wasn't this naivee & blinded by love, the time apart from Oab would've given him the time to come to the realization (of everything i mentioned above) & he would not be still looking at Oab with cow-eyes. ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************by the end Oab the same pompous ass that he was at the stat of this, but Methas was ML worthy dude did a 180, he grew & got better. what i loved here that he heared only the positive stuff regarding himself, when arguing with JJ & he is persistent. good on him . JJ was being unrealistic as Methas has lived a certain way forever, until he popped-up in his life. anyone needs time to change & JJ needed to give him more of a chance. **************************************************************************but on this front at least everything worked out to my liking. they r a good couple.************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************this was a fun entreating BL, & even though it was short it didn't fell like the plot was lacking. it was perfectly plotted & acted. am glad that the side character all made a come back & we got a familial moment with everyone (especially Kluea who was back to his old happy go luck self). this was really fun & for sure will go on my rewatch list (minus the last ep - or parts of the last ep lol).

With that kind of budget it could’ve been great, but they decided to write the most bland, unoriginal and pro-life propaganda adjacent plot.

Oh my god, I can't breath! The chemistry between the two leads is absolutely insane! I can’t get over how perfect they are together. One of the things I love most is Mark/Joss’s cold, lackluster gaze—it adds so much depth to his character, making him even more intriguing. Every time he looks at his co-lead with that intensity, I get chills! Their acting? Top-tier! At least for me, they deliver their roles so well that I can’t help but be completely invested in their story. The way they interact, the unspoken emotions, and the natural flow of their relationship—everything just clicks! I was already excited about this series, but now? I’m completely hooked . A huge shoutout to GMMTV for producing a BL series like this—one that truly stands out, especially with its mix of fantasy, romance, and action. Even now, I’m still swooning over their scenes (kiss scene). I can’t wait for the next episode! This series is definitely a gem, and I’m beyond grateful for it.

Not entirely sure the writers knew what they wanted to do in this episode; the whole human friendship thing was so vague that I assumed it served as 45 minutes of filler before the kiss. While the writers seem to be responsible for some of that, Joss and Fluke are to blame as well - their performances were lackluster and uninteresting for most of the time. If this episode was to mark another step on Mark's and Tong's way towards relationship, if all this friendship talk was to hide their mutual confusion about what they feel/start feeling for each other, than it was conveyed very poorly. I'd also argue the university setting, known from "classic" and most generic BLs, didn't help.

I was glad Seok beat the crap out of Dr. Choi. He deserved that. He has the nerve to call her selfish, ungrateful and arrogant but he is worse. Two peas in a pod I guess. Why did her kill that boys father? That's what I want to know! For the most part we know why Seok kills people.

First episode and I am all in. Gun is a true actor, and he took on this role almost perfectly. I love a good thriller and I cannot wait for more episodes.

I really hate the way she's so singularly focused and treats Seo like crap. I wished she would have killed Dr. Choi though. I'm pissed about the fire and what happened. Also, hate that there are way to many entities involved now.

the bummer with good BL's is that they end too fast... ugh one more ep to go. but this on a whole, was a sad ep - heck everyone was crying lol... but felt sad for Kluea (Khaosuay, not so much) but Kluea broke my heart. u don't plan on who u fall for & when they out of ur reach, it tears at ur heart. here he kept trying (even using underhanded ways) to achieve his goal & kept falling on his face, i can only imagen how it hurt his soul - as he knew that Plawan was faking it in the carousel when he was trying to confess, & when he had enough & just had to voice his confession even once - Plawan turned him down. tough to just brush that off. *********************************************************************************************************************************& i personally believe him, that he recorded & exposed Plawan's connection to Methas, to Oab cause he cared about the restaurant& not cause he was trying to break the two up (that might just have been an added bonus).**************************************************************************************************************************************************************************the scenes between JJ & Methas (massage bed) were hot, but i didn't get JJ's ask - why should he back off on the deal he had with Plawan, just to show JJ how sincere he was. JJ was just thinking of Plawan - which isn't fair to Methas IMO. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note: i really don't get why the show is called after the restaurant, the restaurant's name was given when Oab was in a relationship with Khaosuay, which makes sense. BUT this BL isn't starring Khaosuay, but Plawan - so how this fit?!? same with the reason why Oab never serves a dish with long beans. when he was with Khaosuay, that is a sweet gesture towards a loved one & even after the break-up i get not changing the menu, BUT why is it still a no no to add it to the menu?!?

All in all, an alright episode, except for the kiss scene that seems completely one sidedly initiated by the man with almost no emotional or romantic build up. The explanation given for it by the male lead is that he has feelings for the female lead, but he doesn't seem to have any idea whether they're reciprocated or not, this makes this kiss scene quite a bit problematic I think.
