Old Wounds Resurfaced, Ambiguous behaviour

But Xu Jingfu is reminding Chu Zhao to stay away from this matter, as he's suspicious. XJF has ordered his disciple CZ to get rid of both Chai Anxi and Lei Hou to prevent any troubles later. It was time that Chu Zhao gave a visit to Yezhou Garrison, and he will, under the pretext of rewarding them for winning the battle against the Liehe tribe, and hearing about his disciple's answer Xu Jingfu seems pleased. CZ won't be killing either of them, he'll send two fake corpses instead of the Lei Hou and Anxi. Since Anxi might have some dirt over his master so why not keep alive. Today after hearing about He Rufei from CZ, old wounds resurfaced, and she drank too much, reminiscing about the past, and the song she wanted to sing for her mother but her father came didn't let her, CZ and HY both are familiar with that song. While she's drunk she wants to enjoy the wine with the breathtaking view of the moon from Mount Baiyue, but CZ is flustered and trying to convince to go there another day cause she's drunk for now. Just as XiaoJue came, CZ turned his words the opposite and asking him to jon them for the visit on Mount Baiyue, ahhhhhhhhh! XJ just carried her back to her tent on his shoulder🌝. We love a jealous husband XJ. Oh myyyyyy! Finally the Father scene! He Yan was drunk and Cheng Lisu arrived and saw HY and XJ quite close, but just then HY called XJ "FATHER, I can recite the virtue chapter" girl it's Daddy for you, their eyes widened when they saw her behave this way😂. CL is really playing well the role of the doctor friend, "THIS IS MY FIRST TIME SEEING A WOMAN CALLING YOU FATHER", I remember this daughter thing will be mentioned later too as an inside joke🤣. After inspecting how broad is XJ's chest she finally grabbed the Jade pendant on his waist as her reward🤣. CL is so funny for interrogating the drunk HY about whether she likes CZ or XJ😂. Arghhhh! She just leaned on him and whispered in his ear "I like........ Medicine" but he heard "I like.........waist" both are correct tbh🤣, his lean waist. CZ plans to use the invitation to Mount Baiyue to extract information from HY. CL be really shipping his Uncle and Aunt. XJ be really playing Jealous husband well, Just when CZ entered the tent, he strted smiling while talking to HY 😂, CZ came to invite her to Mount Baiyue and Just look at XJ's expressions he's so jealous! 🌝 Both sides XJ and CZ found Chai Anxi's traces around the same time, he's in Jiyang (In the Novel, if I remember correctly, it was the city which was easy to get into but difficult to get out of it that was the reason he chose it as his hiding place) don't know if it's correct, cause I read it a long time ago. CZ Going to Jiyang overnight, an abrupt departure, while XJ is a military officer he can't just leave whenever he wants, however he'll be able to go there as it operates autonomously.

💔😭😭😭 Cry Cry Cry

Although there were some funny scenes, like the cute couple (Jiang Suwei) threatening Lin at the clinic, or even the scenes involving Wang Shuo and Wang Zhen, the rest of the scenes were tragic, deeply hurtful, and heartbreaking.The idea that the Chi family didn't do anything at all, and that Suo Wei decided to do everything himself, is deeply hurtful. Although that wasn't Suo Wei's problem, the Chi family considered him the culprit in this situation. Despite being the one who suffered the most, he still didn't ask them for anything, didn't even accept money from Jiang, or even borrow from Guo. But what hurt me the most was Chi Ching's "I hate you," and how he cried in the final moments of the episode. I'm crying.

I Only Want You to I Hate You

One of the most painful EPs.Wei Wei willing to sacrifice everything just to free Chi Cheng from prison, speaks so much love. I am so shocked that aside from their little treasury, which was meant to be their retirement fund, Wei Wei sold the home that he got from his parents.I am crying even more when the two are finally reunited. When Chi Cheng was told that Wei Wei's old house had been sold, I could feel his pain so much. The pain of being unable to do things, help Wei Wei, and the fact that Wei Wei sacrifices all of these to free him was too much to handle for Chi Cheng.The end scene where Chi Cheng was pushing himself to eat, looked so devastated, and couldn't do anything but cry, was all so painfully executed. We are down to the last EP tomorrow and all I can wish is for everyone's happy ending! I love them so much.

He Yan learns to be a lady

Xiao Jue chose to deliver the message himself. He sees He Yan sad and offers candy. She is sad because it is her mother’s bday. She smiles at the gift and regifts him a piece. They reminisce about childhood memories and he tells her his last piece from mother was given to a blind girl planning suicide. She remembers but knew he saved her from plot to kill her. Ms Song learns via pulse the true gender of He Yan and she helps with disguise. Cheng is pouty because he had hired a makeup artist and had spent quite a bit of money. Xiao Jue and He Yan are posing as a married couple and they are trying to figure out a skill she can do that will make her an accomplished lady. She is so capable in many things but being ladylike in any capacity isn’t one of them. 😂 He ends up trying to teach her a song to play. It is an intimate moment and he’s sharing a thing he loves with the woman he is learning to love.🥰 His guard now also realizes and I think relieved that she is a girl. They do make a nice looking couple. He has sent his guard and others to find Chai Anxi before Chu does, not realizing that is exactly what Chu is hoping for. Let them do the legwork. I think it took the entire trip for He Yan to learn to sit like a girl.😂 Chu notes them arriving and is making plans. So is his mentor. He is helping plot the defeat of the city by giving intel about secret entrances. He is also determined that Chai Anxi dies soon. I get annoyed that Xiao Jue didn’t help her with stairs on the way to their room. He is forgetting that gentlemen have a role too.😝 Their room was turned into a honeymoon suite, complete with erotica screen.😂He Yan seems much more familiar with this than Xiao Jue. She even offers to show him pictures from better artists.😂Xiao Jue had enough of her teasing and started leaning in, and right when things get interesting the screen collapse and they are buried under a red veil. When things start getting steamy his guard comes in and kills the mood.😂😝🙄 I am hoping that He Yan is spared a performance at the banquet unless she can sword dance again. She does that beautifully. Everybody is on the hunt for Chai Anxi. What does he know that the chancellor wants silenced?

The dichotomy of disciple Chu’s actions — his fluid morality

There is plotting afoot for Chai Anxi. He has an ax to grind with the Xiao family for the death of his son. He wants to be first in line to bring down their house in revenge. Chu knows this and plans to use to his advantage. His mentor however, wants all the loose ends eliminated. It seems the fake general is well versed in martial arts and highly resents his sister for her role as his substitute. Since he is so well trained and healthy, why was He Yan forced to take his place? What purpose did that really hold? Why was He Yan so melancholy and wanting to drown herself in drink. Is it her mother’s bday? What triggered this event for her? Was it the date or the visit from Trojan horse Chu? He has come under the pretense of award for Xiao Jue’s service while simultaneously plotting his demise. His spies have told him where Lei Hou and brother are but he spares them and sends fake corpses back to placate the powers that be. What is the deal with Mingshui that has the politicians nervous and fake general enraged? Are they all unhinged because Xiao Jue lived and won? What did fake General do in all the years he was supposedly so ill? He obviously has been training, but where was he hid and why? He Yan noticed the fire trigger for Chu even in drunken state and Chu recognizes a celebration song for women and remembers it from childhood. He Yan demands to see the moon and Chu politely declines until Commander shows up. He then changes it to invite for all three to go. Xiao Jue takes He Yan to sober up and lets Chu know he can go solo. Earlier He Yan presented him with a new zither to make up for the one she broke. His guard said she’d saved her pay for months to acquire it. This is a smile he allows himself. In her drunken state she is back to her failed recitation from mother’s bday and asks her ‘father’ if he is pleased now. Cheng is loving this and is the nosy auntie with all the girl tricks to get her admit who she likes.😂 He is kicked out of the room after He Yan rewards herself with his future wife’s pendant.😂 Cheng is having a ball helping her recall the previous night’s events. She thought his most precious item was his virtue.😂🤣 After being assured she hadn’t forced herself on the commander, she runs to return the pendant she took. Chu comes in and catches the end of the conversation and actually lines a date up for moon viewing with He Yan. He plans on getting intel from her as she tried to get info about fake General. He is the devoted brother lighting candles for her, failing to mention it is at temple to suppress spirits.😝 Chu and commander get Chai Anxi info at same time. Chu is beating feet to find him first while commander has to go through family channels since his military position has no authorization to be there. The date is broken and Chu sent a note. Will the commander deliver it? Have it delivered by someone else? Or let her feel stood up? And will Chai Anxi live or die when Chu finds him? Chu seems to be merciful or assassin at the flip of a coin, so which will he be for Xiao Jue and Chai Anxi? And does the fake general fit into any of these plans?
