Bad-Memory Eraser Episode 1 starts off on quite a sad note with Gun believing that the whole world is against him and he is all alone. It is quite brutal especially since we don’t realise that the first half of the episode is all from his perspective. It doesn’t help that his parents and the female lead are horrible to him.But once we get that monologue from Ju-yeon to the ethics board we see the truth of it. Sure, Gun’s family is careless but they do worry about him. It also warns us about the dangers of flippantly sending hate as we never know what someone may be going through. It is unfortunate that Ju-yeon’s anger leads to Gun’s drowning. It would also be interesting on how they tackle the first love angle. It would be a little too obvious if she happened to be the same girl. In fact, it would be refreshing if we had a different girl playing the first love, Gun going after her but realising that he actually has feelings for Ju-yeon instead.

This was highly disappointing

I don't even know what to say about this mess of a series. I can't believe I waited this long to watch this only to be highly disappointed. First of all, the acting is terrible. Absolutely cringe. I expected better of Bible because I just adored his character of Vegas in KinnPorsche but whatever this is was is not it. Bible as a bottom isn't working. The new partner is very talented but it's obvious that he's having to carry Bible a good majority of the time and I hate saying that because I really did enjoy Bible in KinnPorsche. I don't like the new ship either and it's not that it's any fault of Jes' because he's a damn good actor but there's no chemistry with Bible. And Jes has always had good chemistry with all of his costars. Why is it so different with Bible? I don't know but it isn't working for me.Second of all, the overwhelming use of NC scenes is disappointing. There's no storyline at all. And not to mention how unrealistic the sex scenes are. Totally unrealistic. Don't even get me started on the full frontal shot. It's very obvious that the over use of NC scenes were used to draw people in to distract them from the bad acting and no storyline. The lack of facial expressions from Bible is also concerning. I don't know what the hell happened to Bible but something is off with him. Jes my guy, please go back to what you were doing before. BL isn't for you dude. You're too talented for this disaster. You shouldn't have to carry someone 24/7.

SPOILERIt could be said that their relationship was entirely platonic, but it could be equally said that Xiao Xuan loved Qu Lan Xin, but only could process it if she forced herself to believe Qu Lan Xin was a boy, and Qu Lan Xin was also in love with Xiao Xuan, and thought Xiao Xuan loved her for who she was, but as we see at the end it's not true, and Xiao Xuan can't live with loving another woman and kills herself. It's also likely that Qu Lan Xin is gender queer in some way. I want to be happy that there was lesbian representation, but we're really past killing our gays. Even in China, though there has been some backsliding. Furthermore, it is likely that the producers were already thinking about how to slide things past the censors, whether or not the producers intended Under the Skin to be more than a bromance or not.Other than that, I like how Shen Yi is coming into his stride and Du Cheng is starting to let him grow on him.
