The comedic style didn't really work for me (didn't make me laugh) but it was consistantly applied throughout by the actors and director. There was a lot shown for the sex scene, but it’s also done in a comedic vein and I didn't find the way it was approached very enticing.
Edited: The Hangul that shows up by each person at the end are not speech bubbles (as I originally thought) but the names of the character / actor.
I won't rewatch.

This is serious
Everyone who tried to buy or sell something on classified ads websites can relate to this movie. Personally I was scammed once when selling something, and almost when trying to buy a console but I can see and detect scammers on a daily basis whenever I scroll the adds online. There are too many scammers out there. Unfortunately they always use new tactics and we should all be careful when shopping and leaving our personal information online. This movie is a great warning for that."Target" is a very interesting and suspenseful triller. There are some typical Korean movie cliches inside but they didn't bother me because the story was very compelling and moved quickly. It kept my interest all the time and I would certainly recommend it to everyone.
Btw. anyone here want to buy my Sony MHC V13 Sound System? ㅎㅎ

This review may contain spoilers
General Spoilers below. Bittersweet and open-ended but well done 11min short. Very good acting and great nuances in the different tensions ebbing and flowing between the two leads. It was very believable that they had a history (though it's not explained in detail) and had complicated feelings.
I really want to go further into the story of these two. The ending is maybe, possibly, slightly hopeful- despite many years passing, they both seem to still be a bit stuck on each other. Just as the dish they made didn't "taste quite right" without the lemon, they are still missing each other in their lives.
I probably won't re-watch (unless they happened to film more of this story, then I would definitely keep watching).

A sweet story that will warm your heart
"Restart After Come Back Home" sits at the very top of my rewatch list, it is a gentle and comforting story that I never get tired of revisiting from time to time.I have to admit I am a bit biased towards a countryside setting, it feels quite nostalgic and I always appreciate the beautiful scenery.
I am not by any means a cinephile and I am not familiar with the technical vocabulary. However, as a layperson, I can say that I really liked the photography and its colouring. I also found the pared back filming tecnique really lovely and suited to the tone of the story.
The score is very nice and fitting, I especially liked what I think is the main theme with its "flute-like" melody.
I am a sucker for a good grumpy/sunshine pairing and I think they handled the relationship development quite well. We get to know the sunshine character's backstory and see what lies under his always-happy façade. Conversely, we see the grumpy character slowly showing his sweet side and his fierce loyalty.
We even got a couple of pecks, which is always a pleasant surprise in a Japanese BL.
I really liked Furukawa Yuki and Ryusei Ryo's acting, they were especially good at conveying subtle emotions with their eyes and expressions. I have to say that the scene at the Tokyo playground always gets me teary-eyed.
I highly recommend this little gem of a movie!

Trying to balance horror and drama is not always a good choice.
In this case, the drama was far more engaging than the scares. The story about a female lead learning from the beginning how to view the world would probably work better as a slice of life - at least with the scenes presented in this movie. Loved to see how she still needs to assist herself with other senses, because she doesn't know how to fully depend on her eyesight.Even the drama related to the cause of the nightmare reality she needs to face was great. Diving deeper and in more detail in these stories would be amazing.
And the horror? Mediocre at best. They did not deliver the scares, nor the true suspense.
Acting itself was good. My favorite performance must be Yut Lai So as Ying Ying. Adorable actress and heartbreaking tale.
For the production, you can feel it's 2002 movie based on the special effects. What’s more? They thought they were clever with the braille credits, but nope, it was dumb
Overall, neither the story nor the horror was that well written and presented. While I was not bored, I was not that interested either.

Lovely, With Heart-Warming Plot Twist.
The plot twist is easily missed because the translation of a word at the end is ambiguous in English! When the word "couple" is said during a phone call, think of it as "life partner" or "romantic partner". That will clarify the twist. This is based on Stongberry's (the production company) responses to viewer's comments here & on other platforms.20min. Loved this, only wish there was more, but it ends at a good spot. The 2 leads actually interact like an established couple. It's realistic and so cute/sweet. The arrival of the brother leads to both humorous and emotional moments. The twist at the end made me rewatch the film immediately and I enjoyed it even more!
Yes, the brother is rude and annoying when he arrives, but there IS a reason for this that the shift in perspective at the end explains. (Details under "spoilers" below, but I highly recommend watching the movie first.)
A nice comment from Strongberry on Vimeo said, "Sometimes we argue, but I think trying to understand each other is a true family. This movie wanted to show that kind of family."
Watch the movie first, then, if you still want clarification on why the brother acts as he does, I've shortly explained it then pasted another viewer's comment below that summarizes the situation AND Strongberry's response confirming it:
.........
SPECIFIC SPOILERS
.........
At first, the brother is rude on purpose to test out his brother's partner. At the end, a month has passed and the way all three of them walk up the hill with arms around each other shows they have grown a strong comaraderie, which indicates the brother doesn't stay unlikable.
Comment by estar:
"This was so sweet - especially when u get to the end and u "get" that the mother and brother know all along, and are just checking up on the big-brother's partner to make sure he is an "ok" worthy person. Yeah at the start Yeong Min is a total abrasive brat, that u wanna punch - but "getting" that he's not being a d*ck just to be a d*ck, it was a sweet conclusion to a otherwise fun, well thought out plot."
Response by Strongberry:
"...You have a good grasp of the meaning of this movie. Thank you."

honest review
movie was shit, what is it with freaking korean movies and bullying and why does it feel like bullies in school is far more threatening to korean society than terrorism like wtf and if you are gonna punish a bully beat the shit out of him and send a message to bullies out there that you are fucked if you bully, why go soft on a bully when a bully is literally killing someone and what was with that cop saying teachers can't beat students but a student can touch his teacher inappropriately, teachers are literally for education and putting some senses into spoiled rich asshole kids 🤨🤨🤨🤨Was this review helpful to you?
Left me disappointed
After watching the trailer when it was first released, I was so excited, especially thinking about who are included in the cast. But, as much as they did an amazing job, the story left me disappointed.I was honestly expecting so much, especially with the thousands of praise the film received, but I guess this just wasn't my cup of tea.
Also, the absurd amount of times "mother" was used just made me cringe for lack of a better word. The word just kept repeating all throughout the movie that it essentially lost its meaning.
I have to give props to the cast though because they did absolutely amazing. Plus, the costumes, my gosh! They did wonderful. The cast looked amazing, I swear.

Crazy Biker Road
Often hailed as Japan's Mad Max, Crazy Thunder Road becomes all the more impressive the more you learn about its production. Being a graduation project by director Gakuryû Ishii, it may be a narrative mess but the highly experimental style and limitless rockabilly energy produced a movie that radiates of pure aggression. There's a rough and ready charm to the effects and Kinji Fukasaku-influenced action, often drawing comparisons to Fukasaku's own anti-establishment protagonists with added grunge, grim and neon lights. The soundtrack is honestly my favourite part of the film, using songs by Japanese bands of the time in a near musical sense, it's combined with frantic editing and heightened emotions that immerse you completely within its context. Fast-paced, quick-witted and brilliantly stylised Crazy Thunder Road points toward a new style of genre filmmaking even if that direction is somewhat confused in execution. Was this review helpful to you?
comforting, quite real but left me with a slight melancholy
I found the story very fluid, when she went to Japan and suffered disappointment, I thought she would stay there permanently. I liked the fact that she didn't make a scene when she discovered the betrayal. Throughout the film I fell in love with the way people were united in the café, how diverse and welcoming it was.I identified with Nishiyama, and I felt sad for him, In the end, it was as if he was that person who always helps others to overcome their individual difficulties but who remained alone when the person he helped got better and moved on with their life (as if everyone moved on and left him behind, in the past).
I really wish Yumi had stayed in Japan, I wish she and Nishiyama had stayed together.
Throughout the film I fell in love with the way people were united in the café, how diverse and welcoming it was.
I was confused at times, sometimes it seemed like there was no coherence in the story (and some information that was thrown out unnecessarily, such as Nishiyama's past, I honestly thought there was no need, and there were moments that I found ugly and disrespectful how they talked about his life behind his back, and I never saw him talking about anyone). Another thing that upset me was the fact that it seemed like the secondary characters had no importance to the story, there was no evolution, there was no depth in the stories and they seemed like they were just there to fill the environment and serve as a lever for Yumi's story.

A Touching Race Towards Triumph (With Enough Tissues for the Finish Line)
Dude, I wasn't expecting to cry so much at a movie about running. "Marathon" isn't just about some guy pounding the pavement for 26 miles (though props to him, that's crazy). It's about a mom who won't give up on her autistic son, and a son who finds his voice through the rhythm of his feet.Kim Mi-sook as the mom? She's a powerhouse. Seriously, you can practically feel her love and determination radiating off the screen. She's like a lioness protecting her cub, pushing Cho-won to keep going even when it seems impossible. And Jae-hyun Cho as Cho-won? Talk about nailing the subtleties of autism. He captured all the anxiety, the quirks, the bursts of joy, and made me want to give him a giant hug (not in a creepy way, promise!).
The film might not be a breakneck thrill ride, but it's a slow burn that gets you right in the feels. Sure, the plot wasn't exactly a mind-bender. You kind of know where it's going. But honestly, who cares? The journey is so well-told, the characters so endearing, that you just get swept up in their story. You root for Cho-won, you celebrate his victories, and you empathize with his struggles.
P.S. Don't worry, there's enough running footage to satisfy any sports fan. And the music? Goosebumps-inducing good. So yeah, go watch "Marathon" already! You won't regret it.

It was an interesting premise but I got bored by it and felt it dragged on a bit. I guess I felt Teo Yoo's character was weird for wanting to meet up with his childhood crush. I mean they never even dated properly but he had these immense feelings for her. I also don't think I could have been OK as Nora husband having the guy come and visit either. I thought Greta Lee and Teo Yoo were great though.
