Basically, this is about a landlord who spies on his tenants and takes notes about their routines, but one of his tenants, a girl, gives him an idea about breaking the deadlock in life; the landlord takes her words to heart and decides to shatter his tenants' routine lives.
The way the landlord did it and how it really had a massive impact on his tenants was so miraculous. He set up the tenants one by one before eventually linking them all together in a madness. It's involved (an almost or is it?) incest, unfaithfulness, lust, and superpowers; that's all, if I'm not mistaken. The landlord sabotaged just a little thing in them tenants disciplines lives, leading to such a doomed fate but entertaining in my eyes.
Overall, I find the atmosphere exciting, like in crime films, but there are moments when this film could feel frightening, like when we are introduced to the mysterious tenant.
This film looked so beautiful; the set, the lighting, the shot, the effect, etc. were just impressive.
The acting, which all the actors did well without exception, is pretty much one of the strongest reason why this film could be engaging and enjoyable.
There's still more this film had, the twist that whether it's there or not wouldn't be a problem, but I like that this film had it. The twist made this film go full circle imo, and gave the landlord proper closure to his story, which ended with satisfaction.
That's all I think. Thanks.

The story itself, I think it's simply about a woman who kill to lower property prices to buy her Dream Home, other than that, if you look at the flashback, maybe because it was part of her wish since childhood or to fulfill a promise to her mother to buy a flat, but i'm still confused about her big urge to achieve it, is it because the canceled contract? i don't know.
This film has funny moments too, only briefly but "burst on to his face" made me laugh out loud.
i don't know what to type anymore. That's all. Thanks

But...
They put a twist in the middle of the film, and I don't want to blame it at first for breaking the great momentum, but I did try to be optimistic. With the film becoming bad after that twist in this second half, I think I need to blame it; they just simply told the story I don't want to follow, even though it's still about the victim. Also, this second half looks like those generic trash horror films.
I really want to curse this freakin' film. Just damn, it's very disappointing.

It wasn't like I expected sadly
At first when I saw the trailer I was really excited to watch it especially because of the fact that it was a revenge movie and all but I was quite disappointed with the plot as it felt like it was missing something such as depth and the story in itself.I think the movie could of had a better plot overall.
The writers really did it dirty and didn't give it what it deserves .
I feel like the actors of the movie are really good but just the context of 8was written in a langue

A comedic twist to a courtroom drama
Entering into this movie without any prior knowledge of the video game, I embarked on a cinematic journey that was quite a pleasant surprise. While it may not be a traditional murder mystery filled with suspense, this film excels in its own unique way, primarily through its eccentric characters and over-the-top acting. The narrative revolves around Phoenix Wright, an attorney whose competence doesn't quite match his dedication to defending his clients. However, when he takes on the case of Maya Fey, a psychic medium accused of murdering her sister and Phoenix's own mentor, the stage is set for a captivating legal drama. Adding to the complexity, his childhood friend Miles Edgeworth, a prosecutor with a flawless record, finds himself in a murder-related predicament from an old case. As Phoenix decides to defend Edgeworth in court, the film takes a delightful twist, filled with unexpected turns and humorous high jinks.
Two aspects make 'Ace Attorney' truly stand out. First, the inventive use of display technology in courtroom scenes transforms the legal proceedings into a dramatic spectacle, complete with ups and downs that keep audiences engaged. Secondly, the film's vibrant characters and their performances leave an indelible mark. There's no room for subtlety in this grand theatrical production; it's a world where actors embrace their roles with maximum emotiveness, all for the sake of comedic effect. In this courtroom drama, the verdict hinges not on the gravity of evidence but on the theatrics of the attorneys. The characters' costumes and hairstyles, reminiscent of those from the video games, infuse the movie with a distinctive creativity and showmanship.
In conclusion, 'Ace Attorney' is a murder-mystery court drama that doesn't take itself too seriously, opting instead to entertain with its loud, comedic characters and an unapologetic commitment to the aesthetics of the video game it's adapted from. While it may not follow the conventional suspenseful murder mystery formula, it succeeds in delivering a unique and enjoyable cinematic experience.

Hooray for girl power....?
You come home after a long day of work and see this on your Netflix homepage. You watch it because you had a long day of work and you wanna turn your brain off. Story is the same old rehashed ex-bodyguard/assassin/fighter coming out of retirement/unemployment/being a bum to take avenge his/her parents'/friends'/pets' death. Main character takes on waves and waves of baddies and never loses. After you finish this movie, you go to bed and sleep and then the next day begins. The only thing that remembers this movie is your Netflix history. This movie is entertaining, I'll give you that. The fight scenes were exciting and left me wanting more, despite being on the verge of a seizure with all the rapid jump cuts. Main actress not willing to do the stunt work herself? Strange directorial choice. Bad CGI at some points as well. In addition, the acting wasn't anything to be raved about; and I'm shocked to see that the lead actress actually won a Baeksang previously. She had 0 chemistry with the friend whose death she was avenging. Like girl, why? Logically I get it, but emotionally I'm not feeling it yknow? And this was probably the greatest flaw of the film. Don't get me started on the random high school girl that sort of became her sidekick lol.
Cinematography and music wise it seemed like the director wanted to emulate the western style of thrillers, which I can't say is necessarily a bad thing (I personally quite liked it, particularly the music) but others may disagree. The ballet parts were quite well shot and kind of reminded me of Black Swan. I was hoping to see more ballet scenes, since this movie is called ballerina after all but unfortunately not. In fact, when I first saw this movie I expected it to be about an ex-ballerina turned assassin but in actuality the only association to ballet is the main character avenging her friend who just happens to be a ballerina. Strange name choice...
In conclusion, only watch if you just want a mind-numbing thriller to pass time. This movie is utterly forgettable and you won't remember (or want to remember) any of it. Just one of the many B-list thriller movies that Netflix pumps out. A better female centric thriller would be My Name, which has way better fighting scenes, better acting and a slightly more fleshed out plot. I'm only giving this a 6.5 because it's only 1.5 hrs long and I was fairly entertained by it lmao

For fans only!
What have I just finished watching? I am so weak: I keep succumbing to the hype and then I do not understand why I am always disappointed. Definitely, I will never learn! I understand why the japanese never released this movie subbed: it is really only for those already familiar with this story's light novel/anime universe!I won't even try to write the gist of the movie down: a fantasy world, families with powers, and of course a court conspiracy.
The first half of the movie is Cinderella. The second: any zombie/crazy virus movie! I actually liked it very much at the beginning. Cinderella meets her prince who is cold and forbidding. He stays like that for about 5 seconds and then he falls in love and turns all mushy and the only thing he's interested in is her while there is a virus or whatever outbreak all around! And of course, she saved the day and they live happily ever after.... I was really hoping for a more developed story between them. The ML character actually lacked depth and the sudden change from a block of ice to fluff and cherry blossom was a bit too much to take! I guess he was hiding his kind side behind the cold soldier exterior: it took the girl 48h to make him fall hook line and sinker for her mousy submissive demeanor! Truth be told that demeanor hid a strong willed person who knows how to fight for what she finds important!
I have no knowledge of the source material so I am judging this just like an ordinary member of audience who happened to watch a movie because the title and the poster looked nice! No more, no less! The movie has very high production values: the cinematography is stunning, direction has a sense, writing is solid, the editing is suspenseful enough, the special effect efficient. The actors did their job well, the main couple had good chemistry. Music was really good as well. There is nothing wrong with the product and yet I was bored. Definitely not my cup of tea!

Youth Romance set in 1999 : painful and healing
This movie could have been another classic romance between high schoolers but was much more than that thanks to the nostalgia throwback (as it is set in 1999) and its bright and pure atmosphere. In addition to be about romance, I appreciate a lot the friendship thematic underlying the whole plot. The story (especially) in its first half did not surprise me at all, as I guessed from the start the "twist" but it did not bother me as the build up to get there was very sincere and satisfying. The second part of the film levelled up in a simple and beautiful way the stake of the love story. It was painful and healing at the same time and left a lasting impression on me as a viewer.
The cast was good, I was not very familiar with any of the actors and actresses playing the 4 main protagonists but they did very well. Kim Yoo Jung playing the heroine was particularly great in all the emotional and painful scenes. The two main males leads, in addition to be very pleasant to the eyes , really brought life and charisma to characters that could have felt otherwise very thin on paper.
The filmmaking was beautiful: it made very vivid the feel of the 1999 era with the big switch from the 20th century into the 21st century. I enjoyed the music as well, it was totally fitting the story narrated.
I would recommend this to people looking for a youth romance both painful and healing and that will for sure provide you a nostalgic throwback feeling. If you enjoyed movie such as the Japanese "Orange" or the Reply series (1997 / 1994 / 1988), you will likely appreciate a lot this film.

Mostly dumb but overall entertaining slapstick police comedy
This movie has been a huge hit for the South Korean box office and is starring very well-known veterans actors. It is a police comedy with a lot of slapstick humour which works overall well but lack emotions.I was a bit disappointed by the story because the team of cops we follow are overly dumb and bad at their job. I know that it is the point of the film to have seemingly "good-for-nothing" police officers trying their best during their investigation and raising to the occasion, but it felt really too much here and I found myself not really invested in their successes.
Overall, characterization was lacking in the scenario. The protagonists are not that endearing to the viewer and seem written quite superficially in a caricatural way. There are very few female characters but I was happy to see that the couple of them more central to the plot were represented as bad-ass and strong women.
The cast did a good job however I think the script was a bit limiting for them, preventing them to express their full potential. It is especially the case for Ryu Seung Ryong and Shin Ha Kyun which are both delivering solid performances (but nothing compared to the outstanding roles they hold in others series I recently discovered them in).
Despite those defaults, I still had a good time watching the movie. I found the production value pretty high and I enjoyed the invigorating soundtrack as well. Overall, it is entertaining and well made.
I would recommend this to people looking for a blockbuster police comedy with a good ensemble cast. It is a fun ride which lack substance and characterization but does the job in term of entertaining value. And sometimes, that is enough for sure.

Top tier neo-noir genre
Straightforward but perfect storyline, the attention to details is extremely precise and its neo-noir styling has one of the highest quality ever seen in Korean movies. Action scenes are quite flashy but still able to maintain high accuracy in combats, great use of gore with optimal amount of shock factor, has some of the most perfect panning for its transition shots, and of course Jeon Jong Seo returns with her top tier acting performance while Kim Ji Hoon is great scene stealer as the antagonist in the film. It's a really enjoyable cinematic experience that deserves to be shown on the big screen but still glad that Netflix has produced it really well this time. Was this review helpful to you?
When you buy into the premise, you have an excellent, thrilling movie.
Premise of the movie.Earth is about to go extinct, because of natural and man-made factors. Earth Scientists have proposed to move the earth to another location in the Solar System. Until then, earthlings will live underground. The water levels of the earth are expect to rise considerably.
Let’s get the Science out of the way first. Some of the science leaves a lot of questions.
NONETHELESS!
Having said this, any movie is based on you buying into the premise. Buying into the premise starts the movie at zero instead of a negative value. Then the movie can began to entertain you.
I want to remind people who scuff at the premise of this movie, do you really think that humanoid shaped persons can fly in the sky unaided mechanically (Superman)? Do you believe that you can transport/teleport someone with their clothes on (Star Trek)? Escapism is all based on accepting the premise and moving on.
Accepting the Premise and moving on.
The movie has cool gadgetry, great action with great CGI, seamless embedded miniaturization shots, and great imaginative mechanical vehicles and machinery. There is an interesting mix of international actors. Given the unbelievable premise, is Wondering Earth entertaining? Oddly enough, yes. An exhausting Yes!! You quickly get invested into the characters and there is lots of entertaining action. It is a go, if you can hold your scientifically lifted nose. This world that is created for the movie ‘Wondering Earth’ looks amazing. Wandering Earth is a great SyFy Action Thriller and there is a part 2.
And for ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ fans, yes, there is a HAL 9000.
Troubling Science
The earth is in the Goldilocks Zone, just perfect for the right temperatures for earth. If moved away from the sun, there will be a deep freeze. How do you compensate for climate changes long term if the earth is moved?
Outside forces like the sun act on the earth to keep the earth in its orbit. How do you get around these forces holding the earth in its place? How do you break the force of the sun on the earth?
There is a lot of cosmic debris in Space in our solar system which could alter the travel route of such a plan to move the earth toward Jupiter.
What is the possible impact on your new neighborhood near Jupiter, as a result of moving the earth into its space?
What in tarnation is big enough or powerful enough to move the earth?

A few times okay, but mostly BAD
I went into this movie understanding very little and came out understanding even less. The trailer convinced me it was another movie from the revenge genre I have grown to love in Korean cinema. But this trainwreck felt more like a bad Kill Bill and Sin City crossover. Actors whom I am truly fond of and generally enjoy their work, were pigeonholed in this contrived, overdone, mess of a movie.
I won't deny that there were some action scenes that I really enjoyed that gave me hope for this movie, but they were ruined by this plot that made no sense. The movie truly started out promising in the first scene, I thought I was in for a treat. But it devolved into disconnected stories, a protagonist whose motivations were unconvincing, and side characters who added nothing to the film. The plot armour in this film was about as thick as 4 megalodons.
It's watchable to an extent, especially if you like these actors. But I think without them, there would be no reason to even entertain the thought of opening Ballerina.

Here there be monsters!
Monster Hunter was not a great movie, but it was a fun popcorn movie. For the ‘based on a video game’ genre it gave no more than the bare minimum---thin plot, adequate acting, lots of action and dangerous monsters. If a movie is going to scrimp on the script, it had better bring good CGI action and that is the one thing this movie got right. The Hunter (Tony Jaa!) fell off his desert ship when it was attacked by a Diablos. Meanwhile in another world Capt. Artemis and her security team for the U. N. are in the desert searching for a missing team. An enormous sandstorm complete with powerful lightning transports them to the Hunter’s world where they are almost immediately attacked by a Diablos and later giant spiders. Now we know where Shelob came from! Artemis and The Hunter come to blows and then to a détente as they seek to make their way past all of the dangerous creatures, each wanting to return to their own home. When they finally make it to an oasis, The Admiral catches up with them, and after a misunderstanding, he takes Artemis into his confidence. The ship was headed toward the Sky Tower where an advanced ancient civilization once lived. The portal to her home is there with only one, well mostly one, problem. It’s guarded by a Rathalos, a giant fire-breathing dragon with a nasty temper.
Mila Jovovich of the Resident Evil series is no stranger to action and she made for a believable kick-ass heroine. Tony Jaa wasn’t able to show off his martial arts as much as I would have liked, but he had plenty of opportunities to fight and be heroic. I’ve been a fan of Ron Perlman’s since Beauty and the Beast. He’s made a career off of tough talking, rough fighting roles (Hellboy anyone?) and showed he could still face down a dragon at his age. After adding in Palico, a pirate cat, there was no denying the main characters were an odd lot.
This movie had little plot. Soldiers from one world land in a world where there be monsters. The sole surviving soldier befriends a warrior from the different world where they must work together to survive and destroy the gruesome monsters lurking about. What made the film work, in its own very limited way, more than the actors, were the exceptional CGI creatures. The Diablos, multitude of spiders, and Rathalos were terrifying and convincing.
If you are looking for a cohesive, multi-layered story and character development, better look elsewhere. If you have time to kill and enjoy a badass female lead taking on ginormous creepy critters, you could do worse than Monster Hunter.

A visually satisfying excellent production
This is a gem for cinematography lovers. The Camera-work is just genius, rarely seen such talented and unique work. The sceneries top, just beautiful. Even the bloody fight scenes well directed and originally choregraphed.Yeah, the story is simple, very, very simple, but it's well made. I guess people complain a lot because for an action movie its pretty slow paced, there were many long scenes in the beginning and the dialogues are filled with many empty lines.
It's an action movie to enjoy for the action, dry humor, and amazing actors but in between there is nothing exceptional. The plot also non-existent, but if you have a knack for beautiful directed movies, this is something to enjoy because the visuals serve. Don't have any expectations for an unexpected plot development , it's a slow paced linear bloody movie.
