WHY THIS IS A MUST WATCH MOVIEEEE
I've never laughed this much while watching something honestly! This movie was amazing and I'm getting ready to watch it again guys. The main leads put the H & I IN HILARIOUS I swear. Their friendship is amazing, and they click well together. They are so passionate and kindhearted as well, when they are doing the right things and even though others are urging them to stop, they won't give up until the end. This movie was truly amazing, it showed teamwork, endurance, happiness, friendship, hope and last but not least faith. They made a promise to save these girls and they did!!! Midnight Runners is a must watch because it is truly worth it trust me. Also, Park Seo Joon works are always amazing. GO WATCH IT NOW!!xo

A few too many boobs shots.
That’s your typical, dumb and sexualizing women comedy… That is not funny. Such a dumb jokes I don’t even know how to comment on them.I was watching and I felt my neurons dying and IQ decreasing. I’m not even against dumb parody movies - which this tries to be. The execution must be good though and the jokes take a jab at the well known cliches in a clever way. This had none of it.
I guess the best part of the movie was the relationship between the brothers. It was well established, had some nice moments and a solid conclusion. The acting was also decent. Not from all the actors, but the main cast did fairly well.
That would be the end of compliments I have.
Sure the scenery and views were pretty and the makeup for zombies was not that bad. But it also was not good enough to recommend anyone to watch the movie.
Basically speaking - you won’t miss anything if you skip this movie.

Karma is a b*tch, but I guess she is just.
Haunted CarIt’s more unnerving and uncomfortable than scary, especially with the close ups of the taxi driver’s face. It kind of tries to deliver a morality lesson and I would not even say they do a bad job, especially for a short story like this. It’s just a really basic one, nothing that will truly inspire you - we all heard it at least a few times in our lives.
Reborn
Really strong mystery/investigation ghost story. I like how the past is presented and the main character does a great job leading the story. It has an actually interesting plot with great performances and spooky atmosphere.
The Book of Truth
Probably the most complex plot wise, dealing with many elements that kind of fit nice together? Not gonna lie, I struggled to focus during the first half of this story, nothing truly grabbed my attention. It got better as they explained everything, but the not engaging beginning was a letdown.
Overall, all 3 stories dealt with topics of karma, afterlife, past life and all that spiritual stuff. All had more or less the same conclusion and message. Out of the 3, 2nd story - Reborn, was for sure the best.

This is the story of the very innocent girl who got lured in to the miss understood bad boys bed and well after that life went all bananas. The acting is kind of off, the story predictable and packed with a bunch of cliches but honestly this movie is from 2007 so it actually came before all those other movies and dramas I have seen with similar plot lines so I really should not complain and I am pretty sure that MEME (thai writer) has seen this movie a long side a bunch of K-drama writers and of course a few J-drama writers too...The first half of this movie was a bit like a rocket launch fast paced and had me thinking over and over again well that escalated quickly.... Just for the rocket to run out of fuel about 30,000 km up and fall in super speed right to the ground... Still pretty faset paced but all goes to ****. So basically In a short period of time we experience a lot of more or less interesting situations. Do they handle any of them remotely well? Probably not? But at least something happens...
And even if I did not fall in love with the characters acting skills there was something that got to me... If you are the type easily prone to tears you may cry in this. For me it was just light fog at the corner of my eye. But I can definitely se people crying while. watching this.
So if you are looking for the beloved guilty pleasure of bad boy takes good girl and turns her bad, or just looking for a bunch of fluff... You may just wanna look somewhere else but if you can handle a bit of everything and want to see soemthing pre smart phones this is definitely a decent place to find it.

The Ghost Sloth
This is the story about the Sloth like girl who looks like a ghost whenever she gets nervous who after a long time of being left in the dark finally meets some decent people who seem to like both Sloths and ghosts on a Journey to self acceptance I guess...On this journey we meet the typical popular bundle of energy guy, two bad ass girls a very strange teacher and some guy who is there to make others jealous and just look sweet. We alos meet the not so nice girl, some mean girls and a bunch of idiot guys... Who get told off for being idiots.
A lovely story at that with sweet gazes, lovely lines a bundle of self doubt...
Though the romance here is consistent and sweet, the main attraction in this movie is the friendships between the girls and mr bubbly.
I am not really sure about the function of the parants but a tree seems to play a big role in this.
Definitely a movie worth watching... for the awkward, the bubbly and the friendship lovers out there.

Forgettable
This movie, for me, was very forgettable. Seriously, I watched it two days ago and I can hardly remember it.Positives:

Not much going on. A lot of longing looks, but too much space with no dialogue. As is the case with so many Japanese dramas, the girl likes the boy immediately, for no apparent reason other than he's breathing. There isn't much character development for us to feel like we know anyone. There was zero chemistry between the lead characters. For me, this movie kind of acted like a lobotomy, to completely empty my brain before watching something else. I didn't hate it, but I didn't like it, but I didn't care about it at all.

This is the story of the self censured vlogger V and all her victims...Ok mayben not victims but the people she stomped all over on her way to achieving her goals.., While I do want to be on her side I find myself thinking why do they have to paint vloggers so negative?Thank The IdeaFirst Company for giving us Pearl Next Door https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paloSIbSQR0 Otherwise I would have thought that the whole industry is against vloggers. Any way this girl in this movie petty much stomps all over everyone around her..
We also get to meet the guy who keeps getting crushed by her, Over and over again... I truly do wonder if the guy is a masochist or just plain shallow as he is blinded by Vs beauty but one thing is certain though there does not seem to be anything wrong with him being decently looking, crafty and smart. With a really nice family.
The ext person we get to see, is the lovable introverted catgairl (who never owned a cat) who does everything to support her adoptive sister/cousin even if it means going against herself. Who has a close relationship with an account of a person who's identity is unknown as well as fun Hate/love rivalry cliche type relationship with a very good looking rich boy from her class.
Mr good looking rich boy is drawn in to the world of V... in a fake relationship vlogging match to become no one... in an odd attempt to get close to cat girl... Lovable in every single way if he weren't a complete lier who enjoyed teasing cat girl... if you ignore that he is indeed perfect boyfriend material.
The movie has a nice selection of family representation, lesbian mothers, a single mother, a family with a mother, a father and a bunch of kids too.. We get to see siblings, adoptees, found family, neighbours and cyber people all in one movie. And the relationships between all these peaole who all but one are lovable most of the time ... to bad that one is the main lead.
The romance is ok, I would have wanted to see a lot more of the cat girl and her bully instead of V... The chemistry is decent not amazing but not bad either. And if you are looking for steamy kisses you may want to look away as I think the most you will get is a sensual hug or kiss on the cheek.
Definitely an ok watch for those who like these types of cliches but this does not bring a single new thing to the table and is in no way what so ever a masterpiece.

Great from start to finish with enough excellent fight scenes to satisfy a wuxia lover
I usually don't watch wuxia movies as they oftentimes let me down due to incompetent writing and crappy fight scenes. After watching so many wuxia dramas that take their sweet time in world-building and setup, it's hard to find a movie that can do all of that in less than 2 hours. I'm glad I found "Brotherhood of Blades" years after it premiered. There's a beginning, middle and end to a full plot, and I was captivated and entertained for the full hour and 50 minutes.The action scenes are awesome. There is no wired flying around, twirling and waiting around during a battle and slow motion fight scenes. We have men (yes, men not boys) who put in the effort to train hard and give us realistic and hardcore close-up fights. I love the different weapons used in this movie, and not just a sword or knife. No weak and mindless swinging of the sword but strong and determined slashes and slits of the throats.
A veteran cast (maybe not then but definitely now) delivered a beautiful performance. I've only seen Chang Chen in "Love and Destiny" and I love him in "Brotherhood of Blades" a lot more and he looks much more charismatic in his JinYiWei uniform. I've never seen Wang Qian Yuan (the oldest of the brothers) before and I am impressed. Li Dong Xue is the youngest might not have delivered as memorable a performance as the two brothers, but he's not bad. I like him a lot more in "Love and Destiny". The two female characters and love interests do not have many scenes but they're fine. It's lovely to see great actors such as Nie Yuan, Zhou Yi Wei and Chin Shih Chieh. You know they will be good. Looking back, there are many excellent actors in this movie!
If you are looking for romance, it's very minimal. It's enough to drive the plot but not enough to make a lasting memory. Liu Shi Shi is beautiful as the female lead (that doesn't have many scenes). She reminded me of her role in "Lost Love in Times". There was a scene towards the end that was very touching and gave us the backstory of her relationship with Chang Chen's character.
If I have to criticize, I would have loved the movie to be a tad longer and dive more into how the brothers met and a little bit more of their background. Most of them are explained in a sentence or two. I think another 15 mins would be enough to show us more.
I am quite surprised this movie has such a low rating on MDL (7.5 at the time of writing). I am rounding up my rating from 8.75 to 9.0 to give it a little bump. 😁 If you love good old-style fight scenes and a strong acting performance by everyone, I

The Dead Ain't Slow
I like a good zombie movie, and this did not disappoint. I was surprised by this because the main character was the guy from Coffee Prince and Goblin. I had seen those before watching this, and was only exposed to his romantical stuff. Wasn't sure about how'd he do in a horror environment. I wasn't disappointed.As far as Zombies go I don't think Rick and his merry band of plucky survivors ftom the Walking Dead is getting on the Train to Busan. These zombies don't play around. The group wouldn't make it out the terminal.

The love triangle that never made sense.
It doesn't make sense that he gets to sacrifice his love for her to exist and he also helps her achieve her love. They never explained how the parents got together, them being his ex and his bestfriend and the ML broke up with her. The logic doesn't make sense and how does a tortoise travel that far. The idea that he had to sacrifice his true love for another stranger he never met never made sense. Looked like the writers forced the love angle of the parents. Nahh this movie just made me angry and sad, korean romance movies always leave me hurting. Is that a forever existing trend.Was this review helpful to you?
It can be hard to find Joy in an unfair world but Joy is indeed here...
This was... Surprisingly good, though it got off to a slow start once it got going it had a pretty good mix of playboy falls in love and life is not easy... giving us a window in to the daily lives of immigrants/ foreign workers... work permits can be tricky. though the movie has a whole lot of lovely cliches it feels a bit refreshing to have two poor leads instead of the usual rich/poor I also adore. Bundled together with some more issues here and there such as domestic violence and I am sure something more... But I seem to have forgotten...The male lead has a whole bunch of red flags, he even wears a red shirt to warn us. As he pretty much both stalks her and tries to guilt her in ot stuff at times... But the chemistry between the two leads is phenomenal, and he does experience some type of development. But as usual fun to watch, but in real life this can be pretty tricky.
I think i may have gotten a crush on the female lead, I am not going to say she is a very good actress overall but there is something about her that has me hooked. The more I see her the more I want to see of her. And honestly her character here is one of her best ones. She is both smart, human and kind but without coming off as pathetic.
But what I love most is the cringey lines meet good lines ...

The words "I love you" said over and over again in the most peculiar way...

Oh come on... m... right... we all know how that is going to end...
The friendships here are pretty good too. So are the views... Hoodies and Umbrellas are also used pretty decently.
Definitely one of the better Pinoy Rom Cos I have seen, you just get passet those first moments av meeh...

Surprisingly not too bad
Using my personal rating system of "loved," "liked," "meh," & "nah," this was a “liked”.I rather enjoyed this even though it was pretty low budget. This… I guess… is sort of a xianxia. Took me a minute to recognize the ML as the cat demon from Blue Whisperer. He did a nice job. I especially liked the FL. I thought the actress’ appearance was unique for cdramaland in that she was not pretty like a doll but had a strong sort of beauty that matched the intelligence of the character she was portraying. There were a few plot holes, but nothing so bad I had to give it up.
If you’re bored on a Friday or Saturday night and need a movie to watch that won’t make you work too hard, check this out. (If you read a lot of my reviews, you’ll see this expression copied and pasted—you can tell how exciting my social life is!! Lol!).

Using my personal rating system of "loved," "liked," "meh," & "nah," this was a cheerful “meh”.It was kinda cute. The ML constantly trying to get the resistant FL into bed was kind of funny (yes, I know that in real life, its not, but in drama fantasy land it was kind of funny)—especially his overweening confidence. I wish there could have been a bit more time for the FL and ML to fall in love realistically, but it was a movie, not a series or mini-series so I understand. The sound track was as annoying as heck, tho.
If you’re bored on a Friday or Saturday night and need a movie to watch that won’t make you work too hard, check this out. I found it both on YouTube and Viki.

RACIST MOVIE THAT PROMOTES HATE CRIMES
I understand that one of the lead actors in this film is rather famous for his looks and so his fangirls will overlook what is a blatantly racist film. This film simply doesn’t deserve anything other than the lowest scores. It is a film that promotes racially-fueled violence. It’s rather disgusting that this film was allowed to be published in the 21st century. Think what you want of the past, but it will remain the past. The movie was not bad its just that the age gap freaks me out like crazy. the ML is an adult in his 20s while the FL is basically a child(15/16). Like WTFFFF ik its an arranged marriage and the marriage was legalised but it still felt wrong in so many ways. How was so many people ok with them getting married????? If you cant teens getting married, i recommend you dont watch this. The child marriage can really pull focus away from the plot cause everything becomes 10x more disturbing.please ignore this part i need to fulfill the 500 character criteria thank you.
