Disappointed !
I watched it mainly for JangHyuk + got fooled by the high rating! and a friend's recommendation..I'll be honest with you all, it contains too much violence with an empty plot !!
Even after I finished it.. I still didn't get the reason behind all what happened, it was a slow paced and felt like 2 hours waste of time.. kinda boring and confusing along the way .. with no actual stroy!
+ I don't enjoy seeing movies with such violent scenes especially when it includes Minors..
the ML was impressively a Pro Assassin but thinking about it's not realistic + we didn't get to know anything about his story why is he the way he is? where did he train?
this movie was a waste of JangHyuk's acting skills
the only conveyed message was that we live in a trashy world!

30 minutes well spent :-)
Wow,I watched this thinking what can they possibly show in 30 mins but man I couldn't be more wrong!
The story is simple and the casting is perfect. The acting, especially of the actors playing the older characters are on point. The sensitive topics are handled with caution and dignity. I did not cry but it really hit me in a soft spot.
The only negative is that it's only 30 minute long but I would gladly take this over unnecessarily inserting fillers and other cringe characters / plot twists which are totally unrelated, cringe and add no value to the story whatsoever. This definitely has the potential to be adapted into a proper movie or a series.
This kinda reminded me of the 2015 movie titled 'Holding The Man'.

Disappointing
When I heard the female star was a former gymnast who did all her own stunts, I was expecting some Jacky Chan-esque action; instead, all I got was some sword swinging and a cartwheel.A girl who wants to be an action star gets isekai'ed into a parallel world, which desperately needs a hero... good thing she's trained her entire life for the role!
Yeah, it sounds cool and, though the tongue is firmly imbedded in the cheek throughout, there was a lot that could have been better, leaving my sole title word as a fitting description for this film: disappointing.

Love is found on The Road Home
The Road Home tells of a simple love story, one that is simply beautiful and sincere. It is also a look at how the past informs the present and ties those in memory together.Yusheng is a grown only child returning to the snowy mountain village where he was raised upon receiving the news that his father has died. His mother will not be consoled until he promises to have his father's body returned to the village from the nearest city by foot, a traditional custom enacted so that the dead can find their way home. As he discovers, it will not be easy, for the only people left in the village are too old or too young to be of help. He perseveres for his mother's sake and as he does he reminisces about his parents' love story.
The present is told in black and white, but as the past opens up it was like leaving Kansas and stepping into Oz. Director Zhang saturated each scene in color, making every shot worthy of being framed. Zhang Zi Yi as Di, in her first role, was ethereal as the eighteen-year-old girl, wearing pigtails and a bright red coat. The village was building its first schoolhouse and it was love at first sight when Di laid eyes on the schoolteacher who rambled into town. The small village was Luo's first job, though well educated he hadn't been able to find work until someone brought him into the mountains. On the road Di would walk the extra distance to the well by the schoolhouse just for the chance to hear his voice. On the road she would watch him walk children home and then stealthily follow him on his return until the day she emboldened herself enough to meet him. When Luo had to leave because of a political offense, Di waited for his return on the road.
Little happens, but even a broken bowl or a lost hair clip have meaning. A bowl of dumplings carried by a girl racing through the hills, propelled by young love has more meaning than a thousand sonnets. The villagers with their traditional roles look out for each other. Di and Luo have few words of dialogue but their earnest looks and actions speak volumes. Yusheng's voice over narration is almost like he's reading a book as he recites their story that he and the other villagers know by heart.
Zhang Yi Mou's use of light and color never fail to mesmerize me. He gets the most out of natural scenery whether it is a golden forest or snow covered fields. He also knows when to hone in on his actors and Zhang Zi Yi made it easy for him with her lovely expressive face. There was no doubt his camera loved her face and movement as Di ran through the mountains for a glimpse of Luo. The softly romantic music enhanced the picturesque scenes and gently developing story of true love.
The film revolves around Di, Luo and the cherished schoolhouse, both in the past and in the present. Traditions and customs thought forgotten give meaning to many in the present as Luo is brought back on The Road Home to be laid to rest. Love is both lost and found on The Road Home. Remembrance and family ties are renewed on The Road Home. This film resonated with me as Yusheng came to terms with life away from the village and the importance of the past as he traveled The Road Home. Quietly simple, the path on The Road Home is one worth traveling.

too soon... but not really?
i'd be guilty if i say that the reason this movie caught my eye was because im si wan is in it. after seeing countless of tiktoks about this movie, i just knew i had to give this a go.boi, did i not make a mistake giving this movie a chance. the buildup to the suspense and thriller part of the movie was INSANE. at some point, i was thinking this will focus on being a psychological thriller because the villain had me HOOKED. however, an hour in to the movie, the pace was aiming for an emotional tone and it was then i realised, "oh shit, this situation hits far too close to reality i'd be delusional to deny"
in a messed up situation wherein people are in danger, there are those who have their survival instincts kick in intensely. looking at how our own world is in shambles with so many problems going on, this movie dives deep into a pandemic situation and shows how there is still humanity present. although it was heart-wrenching to see the people in the plane interact with their families, i personally wasn't a fan of the pacing from absolute thriller to this almost makjang feel.
one thing i wasn't sold was how quickly things got wrapped up. in my opinion, the ending was rushed. it wasn't even shown whether the main characters got to see their family when emotional buildup was there for them. however, all in all, this movie did well to keep me focused, barely leaving my seat despite my wifi making me watch this for more than two hours.

Attack of the CGI shark!
I'm not a fan of these kind of films. That said, I was surprised to see this ran for a little over an hour, so I figured, well, why not?
The plot is actually pretty original for this kind of low budget, sy-fi channel type fare and, where the budget's clearly low, the sets all serve their purpose and fail to pull the viewer out of the mood by having glaring errors. The CGI though...
This one starts well and, adapting very quickly to the truly awful CGI, there's little to really ruin the film, because we already know it's never going to be amazing or try to be anything other than a group of people surviving a tsunami... and now have to also survive a killer shark!
Hot girls? Definitely. Capable male lead hindered by past trauma? Yes, all the clichés are here - right down to the English-speaking blonde girl who sounds like English really isn't her 1st - Hell, 2nd, even - language, but given the genre, we already knew what to expect.
So, the only questions remaining are: was this as bad as the usual and was it worth the running time?
Well, as pointed out above, I don't normally like this kind of thing, so I'd say it's above average and, as for the running time... well, it's something like 65 minutes of so-so entertainment where the brain effectively gets switched off for chill out time.
Nobody ever starts watching this type of film expecting to find a new favourite to tell friends about, but for what it is, it's entertaining.
Somebody seriously needed to check the anatomy of the CGI though, because the fin should be in the middle - and is for the most part - but for sheer drama, it apparently moved all the way up to the shark's mouth in a few shots!
But who cares? After all, this was never going to win a Chinese Oscar.

You would watch again in time
This i one of the costume period film you would rewatch after a time. The story is a common reality problem we encounter in our lives, where someone else’s takes credit of what we achieve or sacrificed for. The script is well written the fact that it can be made jnto a movie of less than two hours. The portrayal is not overly made that villains takes all the scenes . The director showed the ability of the cast in their mildest yet enticing way. Every scene i very important to concentrate to watch since the lines of the conversations are related strongly to what will happen. In my opinion not all films are that precise. Thus making this a must watch one. Well it wont be in the festival if it ain't good , right? Was this review helpful to you?
The hanging by curtain of black hair; the dressing room which Kayako appeared slowly from the floor; the highschool girl that keeps phasing in and out of the house at different times; and the gives birth scene, I won't be able to forget those anytime soon.
Actually I was still confused by the timeline of a car accident at the beginning and when Chiharu became extra in the Kyoko's film. I'm sure it's been explained in the film but my brain is slow to process it.
Oh yes, I almost forget about Kayako and Toshio, I love them here, Kayako with thick make up is super scary imo; then Toshio, I don't think he's got some changes on his make up, but he's keep making me startled. They just simply in their best form in here.
I enjoyed it so much.
A sequel that is worthy to be called great.

I really like how the story continues and how to clearly show that it's not only the person who entered the house that is cursed but also the people involved with the house, both vengeful spirits and Saeki will get cursed in the end, it's scary but a curse that has the potential to spread arbitrarily like this actually makes me think this curse is ridiculous.
The execution of the horror is unevenly good, more imaginative and absurd but it's just too much and I feel like everything's here is not cannon. The horror sequence in apartment 205 and when Kayako slips into Kamio's room in sneaky way was great, the others made me frowned.
Sigh.

The atmosphere is very suffocating and uncomfortable in the positive way for horror films. The build up is very brilliant, from every segment that is not arranged sequentially but all of them are interconnected and I never imagine that I will be able to witness such very interesting story development here, plus the execution of the jumpscare is very good.
Kayako and Toshio are not too scary but how they arrange every scene with both vengeful spirit and combined with the scary atmosphere that already can not be detained, the end result is very crazy. The "Kayako" segment, when both of them launched a frontal attack on Kobayashi was very epic, outstanding and haunting.
In the last segment, Kayako only appeared briefly in front of Kyoko but was able to make me shudder, then it was end with that gaze.
Satisfying.
Perfection.
This film absolute up there but below Hideo Nakata's "Dark Water" as my favorite J-Horror.

It turns out, this film is not just an ordinary zombie flick, as soon as I realized the zombies in this movie are "different" where they still can think, it just they can't resist the urge to kill, have sex, and any other things that violate the norms of life and human rights. Basically it's when humans have lost their conscience completely and proudly show it to the world, it shows by their horrifying actions & expressions, especially their gaze.
What made me amazed and fell in love was that this film did not hesitate to show a high level of bloody violence, it is horrifying but satisfying for zombie fan. The massacre scene on the train, which will not be forgotten by me anytime soon, really pushed the brutality of this film to the extreme level; I was like other passengers, confused, scared, shocked when I saw there's a man who stabbed some people out of nowhere, the reaction from that action was so chaos and raises the tension of this movie. The tension, the violence, they managed to keep it at a high level until the end and it was very satisfying. Chop chop chop without cut is a pleasure (in movies).
This film certainly has messages or satire to convey to ordinary people and the government in the midst of a pandemic that is still not completely over. Starting from how indifferent people are to health protocols and sometimes how unclear the presence of government officials in handling these cases, etc.
That's all I want to type, absolutely one of the best zombie movie I've watched.
Thanks.

Kamen Rider Ryuki The Movie: Episode Final

I don't understand why they revealed the ending, long before the show actually ends, and I watch this movie after finishing the tv show and it gave me a little bit confusion.
Is it somekind of alternate story? It is suck storywise, the build up in the show doesn't feel continuous with this movie, it's so deviated, even this movie ends with cliffhanger, Idk what this film serves purpose for, unlike the tv show that give us a perfect closing of the story and in accordance with the build up from the beginning.
The good things about this film are: slightly better CGI, the fighting choreo isn't too stiff and great camera movement, that's from what I noticed.
That's all I think about this film.

Don't become a girl who can't do anything without me.
Become a girl who can throw me away at any time.
Become a girl who'll make me want to chase after her." - Hiroshi Haruyama
It's been a long time since a film can make me feel doki doki like this, it just when Kazuki & Eri chased by some high schooler boy, then Kazuki hide in a cabinet, before Haruyama finally found him and grabbed Kazuki's hand while looking at her, at that moment, it was really hit me, there's love love around me, so doki doki and I started to enjoy the film and believe Kazuki & Haruyama would be a great couple.
I think the most important character in this film is Kazuki, then Haruyama. The backgrounds of the two are indeed not explored in a balanced way but the point is that both of them have gone through through a lot, and for Kazuki it seemed reasonable, with her life with her mother like that, at her age it must have made her feel confused, stressed and under great mental pressure. Glad that Kazuki met with Eri then introduce to Haruyama that will become the most important person for her and she cared the most, it's the same the other way around, because they've been through pretty much the same thing through their life and end up feel the same way with life. Finding the right person can change your life for the better, make you appreciate life more and fight for it.
Everything that I felt while watching this film I would not have gotten if the people involved in this film didn't work well, so I think they did a good job.
From the actors, Rena Nonen as Kazuki & Hiroomi Tosaka as Haruyama, did a great job in acting, very good at conveying emotions and their chemistry is well established, they feel like people who really love each other. The other actors also did their portion well; and Yuki Yamada, he seems everywhere, as a guy who have been a fan of Nogizaka46, wouldn't ever forget this guy who kiss Saito Asuka, but it always surprise when I don't intend to watch him but he unexpectedly appear in the movie I try to watch, at least he's acting pretty good, and glad that he's become a big actor years after this film.
For another aspect, maybe I will unite it under a name, namely "Takahiro Miki", after watching this film I am even more sure to fall in love with him; From my experience watching Tomorrow I Will Date With Yesterday's You & My Teacher, I like so many aspects of those films that I found in this film, such as the moody vibe with warm color tones that create such cozy atmosphere that makes me feels good to shed some tears; then there's the cinematography, he's film in my opinion always well shot, it's beautiful and . . . . . . that's it I think or probably also add some emotion to the film.
I think that's all, i root for Kazuki & Haruyama, such a great couple, who give each other comfort in this tough life, provide a reason worth fighting for to stay alive.

"I've done a lot of bad shit but she doesn't know any of that.
Up until now, I really didn't care about what I do with a chick.
I thought there wasn't much I could do if I made one cry.
That's why I thought at first the hell with Kazuki.
Why is she acting like a dude, but she kinda reminded me of myself and thought why not?
In the beginning, I was just gonna fuck her and have some fun like I always did, but I don't know . . . I can't lay a hand on her.
It's probably because she's really pure inside and yet she's strong, she's complete different from me but either way, she stil sees me as something she cared for.
If I suddenly die, makes me wonder what will happen to her. Makes me feel sorry for her.
If ever I suddenly die, wouldn't you feel sorry for her?
I might end up changing myself for this one girl." - Hiroshi Haruyama

I watch this film after finishing The Inferno with their gorgeous visual and captivating story, then there's this film feels like a B-movie.
The story of how the characters sin are different actually with another 2 earlier films so it gives a little bit variety, the first story with the pedophile (?) got the right portion; but the second story with the sect, i find it interesting but at some point it started to feel too long & draggy.
The torture scene I find it boring, I can't help but missing the great build up toward the torture scene in The Inferno that makes it so emotional and terrifying.
So what I like the most is the message this film trying to deliver is that the torments of hell are no joke, so be people who do good and are diligent in worshiping according to their respective religions so that we will be admitted to heaven. Just become a good person.

I was expecting this film to be so heavy in terms to be enjoyed but actually it pretty much easy to follow but the hypnotic material that this movie throws into my head, like a ticking time bomb.
Just as Takabe comes out of Mamiya's house he suddenly gets a glimpse of things that make me also get almost the same image but a scary woman. From here my defenses have collapsed too, the next series of events tend to give me shock and start to make me uncomfortable, just seeing the dark side of the room that is not exposed to light in this film makes me shiver.
This film really had me drowning without realizing it and it was great. The last time I experienced something like this was when I watched Session 9 last year, simply shocking.
