I wanted to like it.
My theory is that they filmed a full length series and then had to edit it down to movie size. If it were a series maybe it would have worked. The story line had potential. But instead, there were so so so many scenes clearly missing from this movie! Not just poorly explained moments or plot holes, but full and partial scenes that were cut from the final film. This leaves you guessing and trying to fill in the blanks yourself.I wanted to like it but I wouldn't recommend wasting your time with this one.

The best 5 hours and fifteen minutes I could ever ask for
This movie is a lot of things. It is a harsh critique of the japanese male oriented society, that not even once addresses that society directly - yet you come away under the impression that even the most hateable character here is more of a victim than a culprit.
It is a passionate hymn to what true friendship among women may be.
It is a tense treatise on emotions and human behavior in which all that is said is equally important to what is otherwise understood, in a way only a japanese director could film, and - maybe - only japanese actors (actresses!!!) could convey, as it is substantial to that society and its' unique ways.
It is a masterpiece in cinematography and acting, in that single scenes lasting a half hour long and built only on dialogue and body language are sustained with such a strength and inner tension that never once you would think to skip a single beat.
I had this movie on my watchlist for a while - a bit put off by its length -and was planning initially to watch it in two/three sittings... but I couldn't take my eyes off the screen for the entire five hours and fifteen minutes.
I didn't even scratch the surface of it. I'm in awe. This is Art.

Needed more time to develop plot, characters...
This was a great little film, full of family love and the relationship between a father who gets custody of his lost daughter after her mother dies His wife took her daughter to live with the her family in the daughter's early years. The mother left Taipei and took her to the island of Kinmen...A beautiful relationship develops between Chen Shinwoo (Shaowu)/Ally Chiu and her estranged father, Keigo (Jack Kao) but leave it to a corrupt police officer to acuse problems with Keigo's former gang members...
The cinematography and music are not bad in this movie and all the cast, main and support, make you feel as if you are dealing with a real gangster setting; however, the movie turns very voilent near the end and I woujd not recomment it to anyone under 18 years of age.
You have to watch the last 16 minutes a few times to catch everything that happened!
My main complaint is that the movie should have been longer to better develop the characters and not rush through the plot the way they did.
While the actors and story were really good, the music and rushing of the plot made is 'so-so'; hence a lower rating from me!
I would have really liked for it to have been more developed and also not have the cop indiscriminately kill everyone left after the shootout in the bar!

I forgot after a while the profession of this young man and I was embroiled in the story of these women, from the young prude to the widowed grandmother. They share with us their distress, their fear, their choice, their hope. We understand a little better the boxes in which they are placed in Japanese society.
The intimate scenes are very explicit but if we dwell on them, we forget the real message of this film: Morinaka Ryou learns from his clients, discovers himself, grows and accepts his choices.
This movie has many explicit scenes, some offensive behaviors for some people . So please check the synopsis and tag if you want to watch mainly for the actor.

Coming Home is a nuanced tale of love, forgiveness, guilt, and devotion. Gong Li and Chen Dao Ming give subtly emotional performances as the husband who returns home after being "re-educated" in a camp during the Cultural Revolution and the wife so traumatized by events that she no longer recognizes the man she has been waiting on for years. The film focuses on the three characters of this tragic family. Gong Li gives a heartbreaking portrayal of a woman with uneven mental and emotional capabilities, trapped in the past, and hiding a jarring sacrifice. Once, a school teacher, Yu now can barely function in her small gray world. Zhang Hui Wen takes daughter Dan Dan's emotional journey from self-centered teenager with no memory of her father to a mature young woman in a believable manner. Anchoring the acting and this family, is Chen Dao Ming's father Lu. Burdened with the guilt of having been torn from his family and seeing the wreckage upon his return, he resolutely and gently works to reunite the fragile relationships. Dao Ming's performance is free from over-sentimentality slowly drawing us in with the strength of his craft.
The settings are bleak and gray, focusing all the energy and attention on the actors. The music while adequate, once again, does nothing to distract from the performances and the telling of this sad story.
There are no easy answers for the problems the characters face. Often the best they can hope for is bittersweet acceptance in their resounding displays of love and loyalty.

A hilarious 'sleeper' comedy!
A 33-year old "spinster' and statistics professor Kwon Mal Hee (Hwang Woo Seul Hye) has a very conservative father (Gong Ho Seok) and she has ever been ALONE with a man; she suddenly loses her father, who unknown to her, was quite a "ladies' man". It seems "Daddy" says one thing to 33-year-old daughter over the years, while not following his own advice to her!Father lets a strange woman ,Hong Se Yeong (Sa Hee), the university art instructor who possesses her own 'little black book' of male conquests (and her won 'scoring system' ), to move into his house with his spinster daughter; and her deed to what should have beem his daughter's house appears to be legit!
However, After some roommate problems, Mal Hee decides that she wants to know about how to catch a man; most of the movie is the art treacher talking to her about catching a man; in particular the ballet instructor Sang-Woo (Kim Jin-Woo) whom she has known since she was young. Sang-Woo is younger than her.
While Mal Hee is suffering from knowing sex only as a "statistical problem" the art instructor, Se Yeong, haas her own problems with a hidden 'secret admirer" who ultimately kidnaps her; her only salvation is her new friend, Mal Hee, and a few of the support cast.
The movie has a couple of twists at the end, which you will see when you watch it!
i like the overall 'feel' of the movie and the cast HAD to have had fun making it!
The atmosphere, cinematogrephy are great; and the main and support cast all do excellent jobs on this mvoie, and I would definitely recommentd a re-watch occasionally...
It deserves a place alongside the 'Sex Is Zero' movies as beng fun to watch and re-watch!

Quite old school film, but warmth in the heart still remains.
It’s an optimistic, warm, funny and bright story. Are you tired of netflix grim monsters? Do you want to watch something real, sweet and deep? This film is for you.
Actors are just amazing! Yoo Ah In and Kim Yoon Seok create an original tandem of student and teacher. Their dialogues are so vivid and their dialogues with God are so funny!
I love it because the story presents the meaning of everyday life. The relationship of son and mother, son and father is told with vulnerability and with warm emotions.
Unique characters and entourage of old and cheap houses with a story of love, empathy and forgiveness make this film a piece of art.

Pleasantly surprised
I started this movie with a little to no expectations as the plot didn’t seem to wow me. However, I weirdly really got into it and enjoyed how the plot was structured. It passes time amazingly as I somehow enjoyed it and was kind of upset that it was over. All the characters were really amazing and I loved the mix of personalities they had in the group with all an element of fun/playful nature. All of the main characters are likeable + the hint of romance was unnecessary but was really cute aswell.
The music choice and when it was added amused me as it was so random, added to it’s comedic effect.

Now, most of the screentime is filled with peculiar side-characters. They are supposed to be funny, I'm sure.
Okay... To name something positive about this movie, the music is good (being E-san) and Tono is a good actor. He's really wasting his super dramatic facial expressions here, though. I wish to see him in another 'Fatal Destiny' kind of movie (yeah, movie would be better than another series). This way we're watching musical sequences with camera whirling wildly (to the point to make you nauseous) while filming a completely static scene where nothing major happens.
All in all this movie bored me and haven't stirred at least mild interest in me.

Fun movie
This was a fun, easy to watch, movie. It was silly and campy, perfect for an hour or so of mindless entertainment. The actors all did a good job. The premise was good and there were a couple of things that actually surprised me. I would have to say that I especially loved the familial relationships - the relationship between the husband and wife, and their love for their daughter. Then, the comedy - what fun. The running gags throughout: the guy that slept through the whole thing, the man that everyone sat on, etc. I'm not usually one for slapstick comedy, but it worked here because it was in smaller doses, interspersed with some action. Was this review helpful to you?
The team in shambles, but at the end, they are the Pirate Sentai. My only complain is I wished we have more fight scenes, to be specific, the Marvelous vs. 100 Heroes scene. It felt like they could use some more key (heh) heroes that impacted Marvelous' journey, not just Black Condor.
P.S. Movie has a lot of Easter Eggs for the ones paying attention to Gokaiger and in Super Sentai in general.

Very gray and slightly depressing
This movie is most certainly not a feel good type of thing, but it was the perfect little break form happy fluffy stuff I needed. To be honest it was a bit slow so the entertainment value is not very high but the story itself is pretty interesting, showing a slightly different side to having a spouse badly injured in an accident... When finding out the spouse is injured is followed by, was having an affair and may or may not have been the driver of the car that was responsible for the accident and killed someone... And well this movie does a great job showing the different thoughts and stages the spouses left behind to take care of the mess their cheating "##¤#¤%% of spouse left for them to handle..." At firs I wished I could take her place" this sentence was never finished but we all know he probably changed his mind on that one..,,
The mild sexual content was tasteful and beautifully filmed, as well as was there for a purpose not just for thirsty eyes.
All in all a pretty okay movie, even if it was slightly depressing at times.

Fresh and a unique plot!
I was lucky enough to be able to catch the movie premiere of this show in my country, I've just gotten home, opened up my computer and here I am.[Alert: The movie has quite a few sexual references [7/10 spicy] so do take note!]
Summary:
FUNNY, CUTE, LOVELY, AND A TEAR JERKER. WORTH THE WATCH! AND IM GONNA WATCH IT AGAIN KEKE
PS: These scene description are not considered as spoilers. Its just briefly how the movie starts and how it will start developing
This is the MOST unique and newest storyline I have ever watched! There are ML, FL [Pinky] and FL [XiaoMi/XM]. Before death, ML and XM were the best of friends for years and yay they got into a relationship, and engaged just for a short while before his death. When he was down in the underworld, and after some "You're Dead" process, he decided to be tested to be the God of Love, Yue Lao [an actual god in history and also the chinese name of the movie] and ding ding ding, he passed! And shockers! His partner is Pinky! I wont talk about their past or the major spoilers but wow if I wasnt watching the movie with my mum, I WOULD BE BAWLING!! The romance line was SUPER WELL WRITTEN!! Visual Effects were done SO WELL that they won an award at the Golden Horse Film Awards alongside with other segments. I can't describe much about the movie because theres content and new information every minute and of course it wasn't draggy at all, it grabbed your attention every second and every minute. Other than the romance line, there's a evil plot as well but again, it isnt like what we expect, not your typical stupid revenge plot. Really worth the watch!! Even the after credits scenes were like "OH WHAT?" I am definitely going back to the cinema for this movie soon after its public screening! 10/10 superb!

Good Story Line
This movie had a really good story line, but unfortunately for me it didn't come across, it was poorly excuted. The thing I liked the most is that I watched it solely for the romance factor but it turned out to be so much more than just that.
Where i felt let down was the timeline just didn't seem to flow and as we nearing the end it felt like it was being rushed, the begining of this movie started off a really good foot, and it definately touched on issues that are most likely happening today, but when it came down to it, it just seemed to have been rushed over.
Nagisa, he's the cutest character and his relationship with his daughter, you could feel the love he had for his daughter and how he wanted to be with her, and see the carreer mom, who is caught betweeen to loving her kid but also wanting to progress in life, the thing that I disliked the most was the fact, yes she was hurt by what transpired and possibly felt betrayed or lied too, but it just seemed that she wanted to get back at her husband for lieing to her by using the child, and unfortunately that is the very case in today society and all around us. she allowed her grudge to come between a father and daughter, and her mom who was not really present but seemed to have a lot to say.
Overall: This is a good movie, for me though I just felt there were important things that they should have expanded on and have more of understanding, as it did touch on some serious issues such as rights to raising a child.

It's a weird set up and has so many kinks that really need to be worked out.
What annoyed me most was lack of story. What was there was a promising storyline BUT because the movie seemed to start like we were supposed to already know everyone and the plot seemed to be in the middle or better yet, a whole second movie, I had to keep checking to make sure this was even a standalone. I hate when movies do that. It makes me not even want to bother getting to know the characters because I don't get to see them develop.
Yet... there was something about this movie that once it hit the midway mark, despite my annoyances, it got interesting. Still plot holes from hell-- but interesting.
It's a bittersweet ending. I wish it would kinda explain more on that. Like, I can't be mad. But... I have way to many questions than I have answers.
So, no. I didn't hate this movie and enjoyed it a bit, oddly enough. Is it something I would tell my friends they needed to watch? Absolutely not. But will it help you pass the time? Yes. The only time I'll say you should watch this is if you want to feed more into your nine tailed fox addiction. Lol
