a little nostalgic
I have a habit of watching coming of age/nostalgic youth films before going to bed and this was recommended to me since I've watched many other similar films. First off, the plotline is pretty typical, the main girl is uptight and studious while the main guy is rebellious and carefree. The chemistry between the two characters is like innocent, wholesome first love/friendship. It's not really pure romance, but it's definitely more than just friends. Their relationship is pretty subtle and this concept continues all the way even until the very end of the film. The acting was pretty good, it's not super memorable just because the storyline isn't super emotional or deep. The storyline is also your classic, FL and ML turn from frenemies to people who realize last minute how much they've impacted eachothers' lives, only to realize it's too late. The open-endedness of the relationship between the two in the ending is kinda unfulfilling because everyone else got a very clear and straight forward ending while the two aren't seen together at all. Because of the lowkey cliche plotline that was easy to predict and the unsatisfying ending, I'll give this drama a 7.5/10 stars. However, I encourage those who are considering watching this film to give it a try :)Was this review helpful to you?
Amazing
For starters, I'm writing this as I watch (so I don't forget anything). There's plenty of villains you'll love to hate! Between Japanese Kabal, Japanese Wolverine, a guy who isn't happy unless he's kicking you and a leader with the typical 'cool, calm and sexy' bad boy vibe, you won't get bored. lol We even get a Japanese Johnny Depp! It was nice to see some old friends and foes, I'm always happy to see my quirky Sanosuke. This movie, like the rest of this series is packed with plenty of action and blood all while getting our hero's tragic backstory. Rebellion, Redemption and a speck of Romance, what more could you ask for?
P.S. The ending has me fan girl screaming so hard!!!
Enjoy...

HOLY SHIT THAT WAS GOOD
ok ok so i'm usually really picky in BL's and rarely enjoy them the way i did while watching this! i know that sounds bad considering the plot of this, but i think this was a very well done movie. it kept me hooked and interested, and i had more fun watching this low-budget R18 movie rather than a trashy high-budget k-drama with no character development.story: great story overall! i loved the character development that happens between both characters. my only question was how did mc fall for the seme so quickly after escaping? that was kind of weird nd a bit rushed, but i went along with it cause it kept the story moving.
acting/cast: the mc's actor was phenomenal! his acting was superb, the noises he made during the R18 scenes weren't necessarily realistic, but i loved that because it was so much better than dramas with the just seme moaning. both actors did well overall, the facial expressions and dialogue were well done.
music: the music suited the scenes it was in, so no complaints there.
rewatch value: oh yea would def rewatch it, especially for the R18 scenes.

How I Got Here
So in all honesty I came across this while watching other BL dramas lol but when I saw Migs, I knew I had to watch. If you're looking for something cute and fluffy, I assure you you won't find it here. I'm a really negative person so most of this show (even though it was short) I spent bitching about them being together. There comes a time when you need to step back and realize, holding on hurts more than letting go! Due to feeling like this and based on the ending that came to the ultimate 'WTF moment' I now feel like poop for saying they shouldn't be together. BUT the good thing about reviews is it's all based on personal opinion so until you decide...Enjoy...

Truly Best Picture
There are not enough words to describe this truly phenomenal movie. I had watched this way back when and knew that if it were an American film, it would be nominated and no doubt win, Best Picture. To my surprise, it was and it did. I was elated because it is a human story told in human terms with a deep understanding of the human psyche. This story is relatable if ever you were ever marginalized or barely making it and you KNEW you were smarter than them. It is a fantastic story of human tragedy and to a degree human redemption. Was this review helpful to you?
Sonny Chiba plays the perfect Big Bad. He has the evil laugh down to an art form. Ekin Cheng as the kindhearted Wind and Aaron Kwok as the unpredictable Cloud make for an interesting pair of men raised as brothers by the man who killed their fathers. Kristy Yeung and Shu Qi are there more for adornments and a little lusty conflict and humor respectively, but not particularly integral to the story. Of course, the movie hits its stride when Cloud and Wind must combine forces into a storm to try and take down Lord Conqueror and avenge their families while also freeing themselves and the world from his tyranny.
There's a fiery monster, a fighting monk, destiny, magical glowing red fruit and an arm seeking it's master. The movie rarely slows down to let the viewer catch their breath. The special effects were very good, but at times over-powered the fight scenes. I would liked to have seen a few more actual martial arts moves during the fights.
I tend to struggle with movies based on comics as often the movie makers assume the viewer is completely familiar with the story and they tend to skip about or not flesh out the main characters, but this story was told in a comprehensible straight forward manner and granted the main characters enough story development for me to care about them. The Storm Riders was a fun, entertaining movie.

Disappointed
I got the opportunity to watch this animated movie through the festival Anima which held a special Korean selection in 2021.Overall I was really disappointed.
Pro: the visual is really wonderfull.
Topic is interesting ans refreshing
Con : the story: The beginning of the story doesn't help the plot nor give a satisfactory ending. The end left me with to many unanswered questions.
A lot of scene are left to the interpretation of the public. However as I'm not familiar with the shamanism rituals and its conflict with christianism in Korea (i only have a rough idea), i felt that i could only grasp a bit of the whole picture.
The story line is full a flashback, ans jump in time. You'll nees to stay focused.
The music : the music itself is not bad. The problem is that there were too many songs that at some point i thought that it was a musical.

I needed this to be a movie
OFFICIAL LINK: https://www.viddsee.com/video/toast-to-you/scrawOk, I loved this, to be honest.
The story is about a gay couple (Tzu-Chen Chen & Lei-Wang) who are celebrating their 3rd anniversary. We seem to have a cute moment there... when PLOT TWIST, Lei-Wang is about to get married, to a woman, Nai-Fang Hsu.
Now he's cheating, right? WRONG
ANOTHER PLOT TWIST bitch, turns out Tzu-Chen Chen knows Nai-Fang Hsu because he's her hairstylist and he is supposed to do her hair for the wedding. They kiki and whatnot, her being oblivious to all of this.
So Tzu-Chen Chen & Lei-Wang have one of their usual nights together, but the next morning Lei-Wang is angry at Tzu-Chen Chen because he seems to have lost his ring. We see Tzu-Chen Chen returning the ring to Nai-Fang Hsu, who realizes what's been going on.
Now all of this is intertwined with dance choreography from separate scenes.
I mean... I gagged. All these twists and turns, all the emotional investment and wreckage. This is just purely amazing
10/10 (for me)

So dumb, yet so entertaining.
Deep has a negative brain cell energy and I live for it. It's a pure brainless entertainment: the writer has no brain, the characters have no brain, and by the end of the movie, you will also have no brain. All the build up tension and clock ticking to the tune of death are hilarious when you know there is a ridiculously easy solution to the dilemma the characters are facing. I was watching the movie laughing, face palming and asking “why y'all making it so difficult when it’s not?”.
I mean, I knew they were all dumb when female lead asked about money and not side effects at the beginning of the movie, even though she is a medical student ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
That said, the characters being so stupid, which leads to the plot being so stupid, was exactly what I liked about it. It’s supposed to be a thriller, but damn, I thought it was some dark comedy on crack.
Production wise it’s cool. Love the soundtrack, and I found it truly fitting. The effect used when showcasing the messed up perception after sleepless nights of the main cast were well done. I had some issues with the directing in terms of pacing… felt a bit jarring.
The plot twist was there… and I was like OH! But then I went into Oh? Wait… what? And then I had to remind myself that no one is using their brain in the movie, so for them the actions might make sense.
Overall, not smart, not groundbreaking, but truly fun to watch. The cast had amazing chemistry and sold the story through their acting. I love the bond, I love the friendship, even if they all shared one brain cell. Stupidity entertaining till the end. It’s the first time I truly adored such a bunch of idiots, and just for that this movie deserves a medal.
That said, Deep left me with one question: How easy is it to study medicine in Thailand if these 4 idiots not only got in, but also passed at least a few semesters?

dont try to find sense, JUST ENJOY
●HOW I CAME TO ITI watched this movie back in 2017 in china, in a theatre first-day second show, with a Chinese friend whom I met that very day, and to spend some more time she treated me to a movie. Basically, I thought it to be an English movie but it was a mix of Chinese, Hindi, and English, so I enjoyed it to the fullest.
●STORY
You know treasure hunt. It's the same, when an Indian princess teams up with a Chinese archeologist to hunt for her legacy, connects Chinese and Indian culture, and when they find it when ultimate Bollywood stereotype villains come after him.
●PLOT VIEW
The movie starts with a big CGI battle, showing an ancient story trying to give a base to the modern story had a bad CGI but it was ok. It felt like a sequel to JC, The Myth as there is a painting of Princess Ok Sun from and JC name is also Jack.
It was a simple fun plot with lots of humor and relaxing moment. In many of the previous movies too Jackie chan played an archeologist, so I kind of feel the same vibe.
It had its fair share of slapstick action which is still refreshing. The thing which I didn’t like is showing China as a great country, while Dubai with camels and India with snake charmers, although it was a fun element, these two countries have far more than camels and snakes.
The kung fu with a touch of Bollywood was crafty
The ending was simple and educational, that we should learn to respect our legacy and true treasures left by our ancestors.
When I watched this movie in China, I was surprised how the Chinese audience enjoyed and laughed throughout.
●ACTING/CAST
Jackie Chan was excellent in his stunts and comic expressions. He hasn't disappointed his fans and he brings in a surprise dance performance in the item song. There are a lot of bad reviews about his choice of movie and acting, I mean come on he is old but he still maintained his old Jackie who is in a good shape, despite the age.
but to be honest only Sonu Sood as Randall is good but he could have been better. Disha Patni as Asmita and Amyra Dastur as Kyra was beautiful indeed but they don’t know how to act and they are really newbies in Bollywood too. I wish if they had picked some good cast from Bollywood.
Lay Zhang as Xiao Guang had been my eye candy, and I pinched my friend to get information regarding him.
●MUSIC
Yes, the music is incomplete without the mention of a Bollywood-style item song, which is incredible showing the whole cast dancing to a Chinese song but in Indian style. Choreographer Farah Khan did a splendid job giving a wonderful sequence that isn't difficult for anyone to perform. I enjoyed every bit of it. And Sonu Sood struggles to dance in his movies but here he seemed comfortable and handsome.
●REWATCH
Like 7 or 8 times I had watched it. I gave it a 10 for rewatch because it lifts the mood with its hilarious comic sequence.
●APPRECIATION
The cultural appreciation.
Beautiful scenes from all the countries
●FAV SCENE
Car chase and lion
Kyra and Jones in the cage
●RECOMMENDATION
Kung Fu Yoga doesn't take itself too seriously and that is what makes its charm. It's an entertaining movie that works best when you switch your brain off and try to enjoy the ride. It offers a colorful, exotic, and explosive change from your everyday life.
●AFTEREFFECT
I went in for JC but I came out as a fan of Zhang Yixing with a not-stop appreciation for his dancing

Never has a movie had a name that fit it so well
I do not think I have ever seen a movie with such a wide rage of ratings some love it others hate it so going in to this I did not really know what to expect so my expectations where low. The beginning is sweet and kind of funny, the middle kept me wondering when, what and where something was going to go wrong and then came the twists and while they are obviously not everyones cup of tea I enjoyed them very much and found the ending pretty satisfying. The acting was god, the OST hit the spot, the romance was definitely sweet and sour and seeing its available on Netflix and only 1 hour and 42 minutes I recommend you watch it and form your own opinion about it will you hate it or love it,

Different
So I watch movie as an off chance as I really enjoyed the ML in Vincenzo, and wanted more of him!Firstly this movie didn't disappoint, it was different wholesome movie with both emotional and hilarious scenes together and it was a good blend of it. It's definitely different cause it first Korean production related to space. The kid was super cute with everyone. I love their characters and the casts did amazing job in acting it out.
The music was unnoticeable.
I loved the acting, some aspects of the story and most of all the CGI of this film - the quality was so damn good it felt like I was watching in the cinemas.
In short - this movie was a blast Like literally!!!! I-- have no words, and i don't know how to explain it, but-- this movie was just plain original and amazing!

No story, terrible production quality
One of the worst films I've ever watched. The story and the characters' development are non-existent - literally nothing happens throughout the movie. There is some nudity, but for a pink film I expected something more... explicit.
The acting is lackluster at best, but OK considering the writing and the fact these guys have very few lines.
Production quality is terrible - the music is hideous, the camera angles' are weird and the camera itself is so shaky some scenes are unwatchable.
Wouldn't watch again.

A classic with some twists, well worth watching
TL;DR - Even though I might be biased, I really do believe the movie is well worth watching. At least once. There has been many adaptations of the classic legend, some good, some even better. But before I get to the point, I'll have to say, I'm biased, because white is my favourite colour. Okay, that's not the reason, obviously. The real reason is, I love the story of white snake. I've read and watched many of it's different adaptations, and I'm happy to say, watching this one felt as good as learning about the legend for the very first time. It has everything that makes the story good, and changes just enough so that even people like me - familiar with the story - gets to enjoy something new. It might not be the greatest movie of 2021. It does have it's faults, as sometimes it feels a bit... rushed. But I can't give it any less than the score I did. Yes, it's that good.
Before acting, I would like to write about casting, only because I have to tell in advance - I'm not really familiar with actors. Sure, I know some of the big ones, but I don't nearly have enough knowledge to say if the casting was good or could've been better. For me, all actors were perfect. For others, it might not feel the same.
For acting though, I'll give a 10. I never felt it forced, and enjoyed almost everyone's performance (there were a few side characters I didn't like too much). I could feel the emotions, be it sadness or happiness. And that's one of the most important things to me - it never felt fake.
Music, well, I never felt I didn't like it, but other than the "main theme" of the movie, it wasn't very memorable. Just as how I never felt I didn't like it, I never really felt the opposite either. So I guess 8 fair enough.
Will I rewatch it? Definitely. Will everyone feel the same? Definitely not. As mentioned earlier, I love the original legend, and this movie was great, so I will rewatch it for sure. Until we get a new adaptation, that's at least as good as this one. Then I'll go and rewatch that one over and over again. For some others though, the movie might not worth rewatching. Sure, the story was good, the acting was good, the CGI was good (not bad at the very least), but there are so many different White Snake adaptations, some might prefer some other over this. For me it's a 10 rewatch value, but for most people, I think 8 might be a better score.
Having just freshly finished the movie, for me it feels like a 10/10. But I'm biased, so I feel it's better to lower the score a little, to mirror the overall quality of this specific movie. 9.5/10 feels just right.
And now it's time to wait for the sequel of the animation, that's just around the corner...
