what can i add - the description if not the comments cover it ALL - in all its gory, revolting, messed-up details. this is a movie about how really corrupt and wicked monarchy can be, and was at one point in time... but considering all the stories world round - if u were wealthy - had statue and were close to the king / emperor u weren't much better. heck considering the stories out there, is it any different now? just now "they" use different means to get rid of the opposition and hide their debauchery...what i didn't get was if Prince Yeon San was engulfed in insanity after finding out his mother was killed, who the heck was the woman he kept calling mother and breastfeeding from?!? the one that tried to get the Gisaeng Jung Mae to be his main concubine(?) queen(?)
insanity aside the ones that fueled his flame and enabled his debauchery were Sung Jae and his father - for personal gain. getting rid of opposing palace officials and revenging a dead "sister wife"(?) Sung Jae words - that's the translation's fault -
but what i loved was the intro of Dan Hee, Sung Jae's childhood sweetheart - whose father was murdered by Sung Jae's father - and they lost contact after that.. she for whatever reason wants into the harem to get at the Prince, so she can assassinate his ass - why - again guessing game.
but i loved her intro cause of how it finally effected Sung Jae - who showed no remorse, or emotional involvement no matter what he did - he was like a wicked, evil, manipulative, destroying machine let loose on everyone - and she reined him in - because suddenly even though he didn't want to, he cared. and cause of that he began to change...
this is one hell of a ride - and the nudity and erotic scene r the least of what's gonna punch u in the gut, if ur squeamish look away cause this is like a slasher movie..
side note - read one comment that at the end the Prince was f*cking the pigs - noooooo - like know this was nuts and that prince was doubly so - cray cray to the max, but he murdered all the hogs in that room - he was stabbing them when the room was opened and he was exiled (well that bit i read - again translation - or whatever u call what the "subs" or lack thereof)...

the sister was a jackass, yeah loads of people r infatuated with their bosses / coworkers / teacher etc and someone follow through and send sms's or try to chat-them-up. but building some fantasy relationship in ur mind and then cause - imagination doesn't turn into reality u try to kill ur self - when the one ur infatuated with doesn't even know u exist?!? like WTF. how chemically imbalanced is this b*tch???? and if she is so messed up, why she roaming around and not locked up in a padded room??? especially after trying to self-harm, she needs observation, medication and professional help. don't get this.then there's the sister who goes to get "justice" for her nut of a sister. when she is confronted with his proposition, she as a lawyer can't come up with the main reason dating/starting a relationship with him would be a huge mistake not only a bad idea?!? i.e. her freaking nutter of a sister, that brought them together in the first place?!???
the way this starts already predicts how its gonna end, all the crying and going on, on Yi-fei's characters part is idiotic. story was trying hard to sell a grand romantic saga. didn't buy why after he asked her on the beach - if he could buy her, and then her finding out he frequented the coffee shop awaiting her every morning, was what flips her switch. hard sell for me.
Seung-Heon is as gorgeous as usual, so if ur only looking for eye-candy, both leads look gr8, but story wise - meh...

well what can i say, this was sad, just don't get people like Do Yeon's character that r so self sacrificing, doubt what she felt was love - cause if what motivated her to sacrifice herself time and again, and keep going back to a man that kept adding to her debt. if that's love - glad i have never experienced love like this.the cops in this were as bad as the bad guys, i find it ironic that Gil's character said that the worst thing he was afraid of, was not being able to differentiate if he was the good guy or the bad. the things they got up too and spoke about, were revolting. and these were the good guys?!? shudder inducing!
movie was pretty dark, so i guess the title was fitting, but the ending was a WTF moment. get that even though Do Yeon's character now cause of the cop killing her love, would be able to not only repay her debts but also not accumulate new ones. but i guess, either blinded by the loss of her love, or so furious about the betrayal (cause Yj turned out to be a cop). she chose to hurt/punish him... but as the wound was in a place that was survivable - him going "walkabout" was like a WTF moment.
maybe he didn't want her to get into trouble? or maybe he thought he should pay for him betrayal so he's "paying the price"?!?
this time the "open ending" korean's love in their movies, was annoying.

thought i knew what i was getting into and it would be a love story where (as written in the description) the servant falls for the masters girl. so though the master would be ugly and the girl would be a new bride who is seduced by the servants good look and kind manner, as opposed to a oppressive, insensitive husband. not the case. there is a promissory note but no actual marriage. want to write there is love, but it's complex and not cut and dry.
the plot is - a story tellers angle, where the servant Bang-ja is telling his story, about how he meet and fell in love with Choon-hyang to a writer, but his objective isn't autobiographical, but a rewrite and glorification of his love Choon-hyang - who in the story will get her happily ever after with nobility, as opposed to reality. so in a sense this is the ultimate love story.
btw i tried to watch the movie CHUNHYANGDYUN (2000) that is the folktale that came out of this movie and after a few sec opted out as it was too slow paced and i was bored out of my mind. but after seeing this movie kind curious how the "story" came out. may give it another try...
side note - yeah there r nude scenes so if ur sensitive - skip this. as u can see that ain't the main factor, this really is well written and acted. otherwise the nude comment, wouldn't make just a side note in my POV.

well this was different to say the least. donno where to start. hated Ki-hoon and Ga-hee, usually don't hate character's who r cheaters. but hated that they were so self involved they didn't give and f*ck who they hurt, and it was obvious by Ga-hee's showing up at Soo-hyun's recital with flowers, she wanted to "twist the knife" to make it clear to Soo-hyun she was f*cking her husband. which was vomit inducing... but the more u find out (towards the end) u get why this is a whole new level of f*cked-up.found and clicked on this cause of Han Seok Kyu - the beloved Master Kim from Romantic Doctor, his character is vastly different here - shockingly so... but guess he aint a "one trick pony". which, good for him. but this was to "raw" for me... hated the Detective character, he was a major f*cke-head, all the macho B.S. was/is annoying and not mildly endearing, so found the trunk scene hilarious (yeah evil i know), even though it turned out so gory... i smiled through every bit. usually don't care or "get" the bad ending cheaters get, but this one was justly deserved. and i really relished every bit of it. even if, after u know the whole story it may make u rethink things. i was OK with the outcome.
the only annoying bit, don't get why the wife of the murder victim walks free, when she isn't innocent?!? her husband wasn't abusive or a pervert pedo that deserved being put to death, the way he was. so that was a brow-raising moment. especially if there was justice meted out to one couple, why did she get off scot-free?!?

I want to put a disclaimer that this is not a romance film in the slightest it’s marketed as a thriller and because of that there is some very real depictions of violence including sexual violence ie rape. Also, both characters are very morally grey characters there are no good guys in this film so just know that going in. In my opinion the romantic elements though subtle are the strongest parts of the story as a whole and overshadow the thriller aspect of the film, which is why i find the plot a bit lacking especially since this film was marketed as a thriller/social commentary film. The toxic relationship between the two main characters Yoon Jae and Se Joon is very complex, so complex you may not truly catch everything about their relationship at first watch or even the second. However, the relationship of the boys, through subtle and not so subtle actions truly draw you in. I really wish that their relationship was the main theme of the movie because in my opinion that is where the film excels but unfortunately its not. I will say that when considering the actions of the characters I would look at everything with a critical eye that will really help with any questions you may have about the motivations of the characters. I had to watch this film 3 times to be sure of the big main question this film will leave you with. But if you go in with a critical, nuanced eye you’ll easily be able to answer that question.Spoilers Ahead
I think Yoon Jae knew Se Joon had feelings for him and also had feelings for Se Joon as well, a lot of his actions subtly hint at that. Such as hiding the gift and his relationship with EunYoung etc. What was his motivation for that? His face when Se Joon walks away from him after finding out that he lied to him. Also, when Se Joon texts him to come outside he hesitates at first until Se Joon texts him a second time saying “its all about you”. And did no-one notice after Yoon Jae gets beat up he literally has no more scenes with Eun Young lol I know he was going through a lot but still if you like a girl you’d think to make sure she knows your alright but who did he actually go see? The real conclusive evidence is at the end though the fact that Yoon Jae even visited him at the prison and actually asked him how he was and looks tearful the whole time he’s there. If he actually liked or loved Eun Young there is no way he could visit her murderer and even ask how he was lol friend or not. Also, he never looked mad at Se Joon not even once like if someone murdered the girl you like you’d feel some anger right? Se Joon even provokes him, describing how her body smelled like perfume and he can still smell it. If he cared about Eun Young he would’ve been outraged as soon as he said that but he doesn’t care. And when Se Joon is about to confess, Yoon Jae bows his head because he already knows. And then he asks the guard to wait because he actually wants to hear him confess because he reciprocates his feelings.

Worthy sequel to "Cold War"
This sequel to 2012's "Cold War" is more of what made the first movie a smash hit: political intrigue, hidden motives, and bursts of high octane action. It picks up more or less right after the end of the first movie, with the funeral service for Albert Kwong (killed in the fantastic highway shoot-out sequence in "Cold War"), followed by a call to Police Commissioner Sean Lau (Aaron Kwok) to demand the release of corrupt cop Joe Lee (Eddie Peng) in exchange for Lau's wife. What follows then is a series of events that set Lau again in conflict with his political rival, M.B. Lee (Tony Leung). There's pressure on Lau to resign, orchestrated by shadowy figures who seek to change Hong Kong's leadership to their own liking. Lau has to fight to save his career and even his freedom from charges of breaking the law in resolving the events from the first movie.
Actor Chow-Yun Fat plays a small role in this movie; I barely recognized him!
Overall, this movie ties up the loose ends from the first movie (remember that missing police van?) and provides a good ending, though I suppose there's still room for "Cold War 3" if the producers want to go in that direction.

Moegi Reiji
This movie starts in the present time where Moeogi meets Kanna and narrates her story. It goes back to 20 years back in past showing her relationship with the demon Reiji. Reiji was shown as a bodyguard or say demon wing as spoken in the first part of the movie.
The second part highlights his story with his bride Moeigi who is brought to demons worlds to Marry him against her wishes. She gets a peek into her doctor demon husband who saves her from Evil creatures. he even allows her to go back after 1 month because she doesn't want to live with him.
The story is plain and simple but the visuals are nice. You do not have to watch the first part to understand this one, you can totally escape the first movie. Since I watched the first movie, it is more understandable the minor details of the first movie and shows the character development through the second movie.
I wish that demons had some superpower to heal themselves and fight the beast because they are Demons. I do not feel they are demons because they are like humans but a little different.
music is basic, nothing impressive. the action sequence was nice. chemistry was fine between the leads but it was less in my expectation, I wanted to see more of them.
I won't go for a rewatch, it is like a teenage fantasy movie that is just a single-time watch.

Love it or hate it
When Migs Villasis is involved, you know you're not gonna get your ordinary feelgood BL-series. That's what many people (like myself) love him for, and that's why some people hate him. And when the title is 'Love while you can' you'll guess the final scene won't be a passionate kiss. So I was prepared, I thought. But I wasn't expecting this short film of about 35 minutes would hit me as hard as it did.The plot covers five days, from River (Migs Villasis) and Cloud's (Kimpoy Feliciano) first to their fifth anniversary. They quarrel through the first four and decide to separate the day before the fifth, the main (but not the only) reason being that River wants to make their relationship public while Cloud doesn't. Despite this, River asks Cloud to celebrate their fifth anniversary together, spending a nice day without quarreling for once, before they finally part ways. They do spend a dream of a beautiful day, at the end of which Cloud is finally ready to come out publicly. He dies the same night in a car accident, although a letter he leaves for River indicates that it wasn't an accident.
There are only three characters in this movie: River, Cloud, and River's best friend (Mark Wei), the latter doing his best to support River and Cloud's relationship, so there is nothing to distract viewers from the essentials, i.e. story of the main couple.
All the three actors are great, absolutely on point, never overacting. Another production company may have been tempted to show more scenes of Migs' attractive body and tattoos (which one may have expected after watching the trailer), but this one doesn't, and that's good, because that's just not the point here.
The script is very good, appropriate for a short film that focuses on the relationship of the leads whose opposing characters are depicted in short sketches but still are completely credible and understandable. Cinematography is also better than a lot of Pinoy series. I didn't like part of the OST, but that's a matter of taste. I rate this 9.5 'only' because of the OST, but the rewatch value imo is clearly a 10.
This is a great little movie, but you should be warned not to watch it before you go to bed. You may not find sleep anytime soon. It will make you think, about time, about missed opportunities, about the way you treat your partner. Like always, when Migs Villasis is involved, you will love it or you will hate it. I love it.

Being loved by 4 Charming Boys…
I love this movie! The boys are charming and cute. The girl is so funny and kind! There are some scenes that actually very similar with the anime versions.
If you love the reverse harem genre, and if you already watch the anime version or read the manga version.. you will like this live action version as well!
If you don't understand otaku world, you will be find yourself hard to love this movie since you can't relate with whatever situtions that happening there.
I love that each boy has their own characters and their own way to show their care to the girl. At the end.. they are fall in love with the girl for who she is.. not because of her look. This drama teach us about how to see the inner beauty and to understand the otaku life. The musical part in the beginning and end of the show are very entertaining and fun. Love it!
P.S. I like the way they end it.. it’s an open ending.. all the boys are stick together to be around her and protect her… so they leave it to the audience imagination about who’s gonna be chosen as boyfriend by female lead in the future.

Compared to other body swap comedies, The Dude in Me focuses mostly on Pan Soo’s story and his problems after he travels into Dong Hyun’s body. Even the stories that at first concern Dong Hyun, at the end were connected to Pan Soo himself through his relationship with other characters. It’s a one man story, sadly I was hoping for more of a duet, showing more evenly both sides of the swap.
Jung Jin Young did an amazing job portraying the characters, overshadowing even Park Sung Woong (let’s remember though, that he was far less involved in the story). He delivered with both comedy and action scenes, giving a well balanced performance.
One thing that I must complain about is the lack of redemption arc for Pan Soo. Everything just happens, without much of a reflection on his side. The opening scenes depicted him as too much of a villain, and later not enough work has been done to show him in a better light. The negative relationship between him and Dong Hyun’s dad was also brushed over and forgotten.
Overall: It’s, at times, a senseless comedy, but it will make you entertained. It works thanks to the good performance from the cast and reasonable duration - the movie does not drag.

A very sweet and well shot short film
This is such a cute little film. There is not much in terms of story, but there is enough to make it a very good short film. Min Ah has a crush on Ji Yeong who is just graduating a year ahead of her. They meet in a park and she gives her gift. Will she manage to tell her she likes her and how will Ji Yeong react?I have watched a fair few lesbian short films in the past few months (and reviewed a few of those), but I think this might be my favourite and the one that feels the most natural. It feels very real in its depiction of teenage girls and first love without being either over-the-top or underwhelming, and without being cringe either. I could see myself or some of my friends acting the same way at their age.
The music is simple and works well without being anything extraordinary and the acting works just well. Both actresses do a good job at making believable teenagers and I was thoroughly believing them as best friends and crushes.
Finally, the cinematography and editing was really nice. It was dynamic, it changed depending on the moment of the story and the way the characters were feeling and what they were trying to say. There were some nice and aesthetic shots too that added to the story rather than distracting from it.
All in all, a very nice and sweet short film that I would thoroughly recommend to anyone searching for their next short film and at only 7 min, it is a quick watch!

Too cliche & just another Fairy Tale Story
I don't read the manga version, so I don't know if the movie version is rushing the plot or not. But overall... the story is just so-so. It's kinda like a fairy tale.. I'm kinda confuse because without strong reason and right after some coincidence meeting, suddenly an idol fall in love with the female lead and want her to be his girlfriend..despite the age gap and different background. The fetish issue that being told in the synopsis about the male lead is only shown a bit in the beginning of story, but then he seems very normal after all.
The girl is too naive but she is still in the high school so it's pretty normal. The plot is just too ordinary like in many others romantic high school movie with triangle love, childhood friend, amusement park date, jealous scene due to a classic set up and artist scandal.
I'm not really impress with the acting as well, but both leads are good looking. The genre is not really rom-com, there is not much comedy.
The issue in the boyband is kinda interesting, but it just another side issue.
The piano story is very cliche. This drama lose its main focus.
By the way, the actor's manager is too damn old. They should choose another young energetic actor to play the role.
Well if you are expecting dreamy plot then this drama is right for you. It just doesn't really make sense to be happen in real life for me.
