Girl Power! Justice!
I may be biased toward Bok Joo - ya, but this is my cup of tea. Girl power for the win: Lee Sung-kyung, Ra Mi-Ran, Choi Soo-Young, Yeom Hye-Ran, etc. This movie is a complete package. It has depth, humor and more than enough action to keep you watching. It is really sad how raping someone is being downplayed everywhere. It is always power play. Why is always the victims fault? They are the ones who suffered and is suffering. Nobody can tell what they feel unless being in the same position as them. That's why LSK's monologue, about why did they wanted to be in the police industry, gave me a lot of feels. She was there in the victim's position albeit not being fully violated.
I get a lot of mixed emotions while watching scenes where there's rape, domestic violence or any struggles just by being a woman. Why is it our fault? Why is it that we are the ones who should have done this or done that? Why do others have lots of excuses. Ugh. I know this is a never-ending debate but us girls will never stop speaking for those who are silenced by these kinds of issues.
Sorry, I just had to get some out of my system before watching another movie or series. :)

great movie
Honestly, a really great movie. Love the main couple and love the main female charact! wow, she's spunky and hot-tempered but not in an annoying way and she really sticks up for her friends. She's a little bit of a thug XDThe characters have many layers, the antagonists end up not being so bad, there are also plottwists to the good people in the show.
Beautifully shot and really makes you nostolgic. loved the industrial town setting, loved the friendship. the ending was a bit of a let-down imo, but it doesnt really bother me.
Theres lots of action, fighting, youth shennanigans, bit of a mystery and suspense too. totally suggest you give it a try.

Even though this movie was over an hour, it felt like it was over within 15 minutes. Lol that isn't a bad thing though. I love movies that keep me so absorbed in the story that I lose track of time.
I really enjoyed the storyline and how they seemed to take a little bit of everything and put it into the movie. It somehow worked! I don't think I've seen such a combination of things work together so well. I loved the little bits of comedy to. Everything in this was placed so perfectly it was harmony.
I think the only thing that didn't really sit with me were his two friends? I know it gives us the backstory of what happened but -- It didn't make sense to me why they would stay so petty if they had eachother now and were doing fine?? Are they really just that pressed that people love him? I just don't get it. It's like their story did play a large part but kinda fell flat? I feel like we got to know more about her friends and connect more with the story with her friends than his (ex) friends? (if that makes sense. Lol)
But all in all I really did enjoy this. I really don't think I've seen another movie or show quite like this. I mean I know they're out there but not on the same level for me.

DECENT FANTASY ROMANCE PERIOD MOVIE
I was looking for a horror movie and came across this and it's a habit of mine to dive in without knowing anything and since it was tagged as a horror movie I just dived inWhat I got was a romantic fantasy period movie
Even if my watched list contains only A handful of Chinese period themed movies...I have always loved period Chinese movies more than any other genre from the industry
So this time too visually it was too beautiful with the setup frames and gorgeous costumes and all but the special effects even though over looks okayish did felt weak to mea at certain places
Had no issues with pacing as the movie is barely over 80mins
The plot is something we have all already seen many times before
But it was the acting cinematography and direction that saved me from boredom
The action scenes were also just watchable
The scores were decent and loved the end credit song💖
Also the emotional scenes and tones were effective and I could empathize with the character
So overall its a good fantasy romantic period movie but just don't dive in thinking it's a horror movie...even if it has elements of the genre in it

Good Storyline
Although I have just seen this movie (10 years later), I still find it relevant and interesting movie. It is not always we see this kind of theme depicted in the storyline. More often than not, we see a lot of conflicts in amassing wealth. This movie tells us a story of how people's view on wealth or money and how we put significance to it. The characters are not necessarily different in terms of economic status but has different methods of livelihood or source of income, how they utlilize the wealth and how to fend for themselves. Though the female lead character proves to be wise in terms of finding means to earn money, it shows too her inability to make sound judgement in terms of trusting people -- who eventually got defrauded. While the male lead character may seem carefree and unstable in many aspects, prove to be a better person -- not consumed by money or riches, cares for the people who showed him kindness, knows how to repay good deeds, incorporates fun in 'living'.
This could be a reality to some or most of us.

Heartwarming stories of 4 couples during the New Years!
As soon as I saw the cast, I knew I need to see this film! This film is filled with a list of my favorite actors and actresses and I’ve always loved seeing films that have actors and actresses I’m familiar with. In addition, I was eager to see Chen Du Ling in a Korean movie since I loved her in Left Ear!The film was good—it was heartwarming, sweet and nostalgic. I really love a Christmas/New Years film as they are both my favorite holidays and it brought back all the good memories I always have on that particular days. The feelings depicted in this movie was great! The romance were not too overly romantic, and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and angst. The warmness radiated from the endings of those 4 incredible stories were perfect! If I had to put those 4 stories in sequence from my most to least favorite, it would be:
1️⃣ Han Oh Wol & Kim Rae Hwan (Choi Soo Young & Yoo Teo)
2️⃣ Lee Hyo Young & Kang Ji Ho (Yoo In Na & Kim Kang Woo)
3️⃣ Oh Young Chan & Yao Lin (Lee Dong Hwi & Chen Du Ling)
4️⃣ Min Jin Ah & Lee Jae Hun (Lee Yeon Hee & Yoo Yeon Seok)
Oh Wol-Rae Hwan and Hyo Young-Ji Ho’s stories were both my favorites since their stories were clear from the beginning. They both had a clear and a reasonable problem and they came up with the perfect solution to it. On the other hand, Young Chan-Yao Lin didn’t seem like they were both meant for each other. Their story became much better because of Young Chan’s super supportive and silly sister, Yong Mi (Yeom Hye Ran). The same goes to Jin Ah-Jae Hun’s story—I thought I was going to like this couple’s story best, but I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the two.
But overall, the director managed to give us 4 beautiful endings and a nostalgic firework and countdown scene which made this movie a whole lot better! Definitely recommended to watch with your loved ones (preferably during the end of the year to get the holiday season vibe!) An 8.5/10 for me! ⭐️

THIS IS SOOO WORTH THE SPOOKS!!!
Did I watch more than half the movie through my fingers? -Yes. Did I wet myself? -Probably. Is this movie worth all these troubles? -DEFINITELY!I haven't watched a paranormal movie this good in a long while and I feel refreshed. But I have to admit, I stopped the movie at 1:02:10 and went to bed today morning at 4:28 am, or else I wouldn't have been able to sleep all night(dawn, maybe?) and then completed the movie right now at 11:42 am. Such a pup, am I not? Hehe.
The cinematography is so good, the acting is spot-on, neither too much nor too less. The actors did really well. Stepping out of dramas and doing a movie this good, you gotta be kidding me! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. And an alert: This shouldn't be viewed by children under 16, though they say 18 I think it's a PG 16. It will make you check under your bed for the boogeyman. I had shivers sent down my spine(and my thighs for some reason) during that laugh after that first contact. I thought the storyline was a bit meh~ before watching but now I remain silenced. The plot twist shook me to the core. I mean that was unexpected. Because P'Vee looked so convinced about the suicide, but his mom stopped him. Good for him, bad for you know who.
Them going loco for the experiment made me throw my phone, seriously. Everything was PURrrr~fect. Just the hallway part near the end when P'Vee was getting beaten up was a bit too... "green-screened", I mean it was too obvious to tell that it was a fake setup compared to the other green-screened scenes.
It is a solid 9.5/10 from me. GREAT MOVIE!!!

Great watch.
If you like car, this movie definitely for you. If you not much into car or don’t know anything about car engine, like me, this is a very enjoyable movie. The OST was so good. The first song st the beginning and the last song really fit the movie well.
The scenery was so beautiful. The high tech filming was unbelievable. The high angle down, the speed, the lightning, the editing was definitely the top notch.
I have only watch two race car movie that were really good. “Rush” F1 Formula. That was legend. Recently watch “Ford vs Ferrari”. When people talk about race cars, they think about Ferrari. This movie doesn’t have Ferrari, it has Japanese make cars. It has the same enthusiastic mechanics, the sponsors, the fans, the talents and style.
Now, lets talk about the acting. Mckenyu was the perfect choice for this role. He is the driving force for this movie. His eyes focus, bright, and full of desires. He looks good when he was angry, when he smile, when he was desperate, sad etc. he has they style, the energy, the charm and charismatic. I am dying looking at his muscular body. Then Takumi Kitamura, love his youth, his natural looking, gentle and pleasant look. Mashahiro playing big brother. Veteran actor. That film but soft facial tone portrait his role really well. Then young Keita, he probably not too famous back then. So four powerhouse Japanese actors in one movie. That was not to be miss. To be honest, McKenyu stole the show. That beautiful clear eyes and the body language was precious.
Overall, must watch. Love the 2 brothers downhill bicycles scenery. Among the Asian countries that can make professional race car movie well worth watching, it has to be Japan.

A Huge Skip For Me.
Okay so this movie was a waste of time, so I'll keep this review short and sweet (haha, get it?).It started off okay. You see the FL's who's a nurse eventually start a relationship with one of her patient Lee Jang Hyuk, and to be honest that part was entertaining. I had my suspicions that she was cheating on him but once Jang Ki Young appeared on screen, I was simply convinced that the character Lee Jang Hyuk simply ended up losing weight to please Da-Eun as he insisted he would.
Then you enter what I would call the second half of the movie when Jang Hyuk interns at this new company. He and the other intern Bo-Young get at each other's throats and eventually end up pining for one another. First off can we talk about how terrible of a girlfriend Da-Eun is? Obviously, it's inevitable for long-distance relationships to struggle, especially during its early stages, but it's crazy to me how little Da-Eun was willing to sacrifice for Jang Hyuk. Despite the fact that Jang Hyuk would commute back to Incheon from Seoul for her, all Da-Eun could do was to complain. Never once did she offer to alleviate some of Jang Hyuk's burdens by commuting to Seoul in order to see him.
Then, we enter Bo-Young and Jang Hyuk. Sigh. Where do I start? No chemistry whatsoever. Don't understand why they became a thing. I didn't even realize Jang Hyuk was attracted to her until he mistakenly called Da-Eun Bo-Young and also lied that he was having dinner with his team when in reality he was having dinner with Bo-Young.
Overall, I just don't understand the need for this movie? Like what's its purpose? What were the writers trying to do? Seriously. I'd like an answer. Especially with such a great cast, I was expecting so much more. Even the ending plot twist could not save this wreck.
Okay, so quick question for anyone who knows, was it implied that Da-Eun ended up getting an abortion or did she just lose the baby? I was kind of puzzled as to what happened to the baby.
Also, huge shoutout to Lee Woo Je who kind of carried this movie on his back LMAO.
Anyhow, I guess my review ended up being a little sour AMIRITE?? Ok. I'll stop now.

An End To An Era
All I really have to say about this is if you wanted slightly more context to the Playback film, watch this. If not and you were satisfied with that ending, this isn't completely necessary. I loved seeing these actors though in anything, so I watched it! I kinda wished we got even more context surrounding Kijimas character because he's so fascinating. But I guess if we did he wouldn't have that air of mystery to him. I liked seeing his family interacting with Kuzumi though more. Still don't like Kamoda's character though and never will lol. Dude's a creep.I'm going to miss this series a lot, because it is done so freaking well. However, I'm super satisfied with how it ended and I hope the cast and crew continue to do really well <3

A jewel to be discovered
As an unconditional fan of Gong Yoo, who is for me one of the best actors of today, I watched this film, first for him. Then because it has become a "classic" Korean film to see.Well, I was not disappointed...
First of all, I would like to point out that this film should be seen as more than the subject it seems to deal with: Adultery.
This film is not for people who can't see beyond that.
Indeed, it is first of all a film about life, people, love and the choice of each one.
You have to see and understand each person's life to fully appreciate this emotional film. My heart sincerely fluttered and I really liked it.
What about the acting? As expected, Gong Yoo plays wonderfully, and still managed to touch me deeply. I lived and understood each of his choices whether they were happy or terrible.
But very nice surprise also from Jeon Do Yeon: Beautiful acting, her character has many facets, and she takes us away and touches us as much.
There are intimate scenes, which could be disturbing, but in fact they are completely in keeping with the film, and beautifully handled. Well done...
This film is strong, poignant and true. I loved it, and I highly recommend it.

Your Enjoyment of this Completely Hinges on the Last 10 Minutes of this Movie
I think this movie is hard to recommend and equally hard NOT to recommend. Without spoilers, I can't explain why, but whether or not you enjoy this is completely based upon your reaction to the last few moments of this movie. Some people will think it is a masterful ending. Some people will feel completely cheated. Therefore, you won't be able to make an informed decision for yourself about whether to give this a watch or not unless you don't mind directly looking up spoilers on the internet. Personally, I didn't think the ending was particularly clever, but it was certainly unique. This movie felt well-acted, but all the other elements felt average to me.

Social Issues and Bipolar
This is a gem. A low-budget first featured film shot within two weeks, talking about bipolar and dementia. It is somewhat like the The Father. It talks about not just living together in a tight spaced apartment in Hong Kong, it also showed how cruel and unjust the outside world is, beyond the apartment walls. It tackles important social issues, in Hong Kong. It not only discusses medical care, mental illness and housing issues, but also highlights the irony and conspicuousness of indifference and alienation in this sweltering and crowded city.Even at the wedding event, how many of you really put your heart to congratulate and listen to the groom and bride speech? Or you are just there to mingle and get free meals? It shows lots of realistic feelings that majorities won't feel about. Sometimes people just needs to be slap and woken up. Just because one discharged from a mental hospital doesn't mean the person is labelled crazy, to be look down upon.
Some people may feel scared because the drama is too real. But also because of this, whether it is emotions, family, or love, there are always places that touch the audience and resonate with them. Many people will ask us if we have problems with our family or mental state, so we write such stories. People would expect that you must be such a person to care about such things, but it is not the case. Just like many people support the equal rights of comrades, they are not necessarily comrades, but we believe that this world is better. This is a value. If we all speak for ourselves, we can’t unite, and sports it will not be a big deal. More important Yes, have we thought about what kind of city, what kind of world, and what kind of life we want.
This has won two 53th Golden Horse Awards; Best Director and Best Supporting Actress.

Masterpiece Movie
This movie is the best out of kmovies I have watched. Its duration is only 1 hour and a half, but I can't believe that the storyline is that good, and I could have various emotions. My mouth was wide opened out of surprise many times while watching. I've never seen such a masterpiece movie before. In fact, it's similar to "Flower of Evil" to the fact that the wife tried to dig the secret of her husband and found the shocking truth, but of course, it's different and they are masterpiece in their own way.In short, it's a masterpiece and a must watch movie.
