Softporn Farce Using BL Tropes
Bad Buddy Butt is a straight up (excuse the pun) sortporn farce, taking jabs at the BL genre. Most BL stories use forced sexual situations and rape to get their two boy characters together, while set in the fantastical and always high school/college world. This time, this farce has placed their characters in the realm of a police drama. Hiro and Mamoru are policemen (not really good at their jobs), who mostly fantasize about one another. A masked man (on his own mission to make their village GAY), targets one of them. Was this review helpful to you?
Not enough In-depth in the Story
This extremely short movie was not what had expected, first off it is literally 15 minutes so its one of those quick watches when you waiting at the train station or something!!I personnel did not enjoy this, as i felt it left a lot of unanswered questions, and everything was just put together for the sake of it!!
It does explore the homophobia side of things, but again i think this short film could done better if was a more a series, or even a full length movie instead of the 15 minute that I witnessed.
There were some good points to this, as the couple were already in a relationship and how they came to there decision, instead of one making and the other ghosting, the growth of the mom and her acceptance of her sons choice.
But overall Nah this was way too short and it could have done better!!!

What the hell am i watching !?!?
I was expecting more from this film but nooooo it didn't even impress me . First of all the storyline was kinda rush . Like the way he got into the accident is so sudden out of nowhere . Second the camera angle is kinda strange . Third the movie looked like a low budget movie . The casts are cute and all but their acting look kinda awkward to me . Especially the male lead and female lead . The music ... Well nothing memorable , i think there barely any music . I won't rewatch this film cause it's pretty boring and and look cheap .Was this review helpful to you?
Japan, we love you and your crazy ideas!
My biggest complement for this movie is the comedy. This movie was just hilarious. I literally stayed laughing for the whole movie. With that said, this movie cannot be analyzed in a sense of matter like other movies. To put it simply, if it made you laugh, it was good. The only way to rate it is based on how much you laugh. Being a parody, the plot and characters are made to be extremes. Also, The action was pretty good and funny. That's where a lot of the comedy came from.
And all those OG Spider-Man scenes were the cherry on top
My biggest problem with the movie was the two main leads. Their Characters and acting I am having a hard time judging. The two main leads felt a bit flat to me but I don't know if it has to do with the rest of the character being so over the top or it was their acting itself. Still cant decied.
I also believe that during the middle montage, the movie was a bit staler. I had fewer laughs during the part of the movie and it took a bit to get it back to high levels again.

Another fine additon to the "Tomie" series
Just finished this movie and I must say that it deserves to be an additon to the "Tomie" series...I may have missed a few of the earlier versions of the series, but it is worthy to be considered amongst the rest; good cinematography, especially using the gray-toned filters in the mountain scenes and also waiting until the end for the "Gotcha" moments!.
It isn't as 'bold' as some of the earlier versions of the Tomie series, but it gives you a good scare in the final part of the movie!
I sometimes think they intentionally put it of to make the climax better and more shocking...
Re-watch value...at least every October, before Halloween....IF YOU DARE!

I haven't watched the original, however, I would say all together, this was a well-made film! The beginning might be a little slow to some, but it really builds up the exciting occurrences in the latter portion of the film! I especially love the last twenty minutes or so of the film, it's so fun! The film did what it could have in under two hours — kept it simple, yet made it a good time.

Maybe ten yrs ago it was a sensation...
But right now i'd say its not much to see, except for a bunch of handsome guys throwing punches. I'd rather have watched em doing something else... Totally overrated. Only recommended for teen boys who are into action movies and not very fussy about plot. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Was this review helpful to you?
Mirai Kiritani really delivered well in this movie, her character changing role is hard to portray but she was able to pull it off. Also her chemistry with the ML is just to the roof!! Suzuki Nobuyuki is one cute political aide I was smiling the whole time I was watching him. I wanted to see him more with our FL too bad, this is just a movie!! I wish this was a series instead! He was so cute at the ending part as well! >///<
Overall, the movie was motivating and inspiring! It shows us that nothing is impossible if you put something into your mind and work hard for what you want to achieve.

This seems more like a music video than a short film
Short films are usually say 45 minutes. This one was 16 minutes. The costumes were cool, the music was good, lighting and scenery was good and the story idea was cool. But there was zero speaking. Not a single word. No full flow from scene to scene rather a collection of well done clips.
It felt like teaser for a movie coming out so just.....don't expect too much.
What little there was....was excellent.
It made me realise how talented Kris Wu is.
It is too bad he is a monster or I would have liked to see an actual film made of this.
Now I realise why there was no review lol. There is so little to talk about it is hard to write 500 characters about it.
So, just my opinion but don't feel like you missed anything if you cannot find it anywhere to watch.
My rewatch value is zero but it won't allow me to put less than a one.

Teenage love is hard
Didn't watch the manga and I think I would like it. But I liked this movie. The pace is good and needed.
The story is about a high school student, Sawako, that as almost zero self-esteem and don't know how to handle it. She met Kazehaya in a crossing and he fells in love for her. He's very popular and he will love her and care for her in secret.
Then, two friends of Kazehaya, Chizuru and Ayane, 2 strong and misfits girls started a friendship relation with Sawako.
The movie tells us the evolution of the four friends, the growing of Sawako's personality and self love, and the realization of true love
It is sweet and warm.
For me, even if it deals with teenage love and high school students, I find almost unreal some behaviour, specially Sawako. But I find sometimes difficult to understand how love relations are portrait in Japanese movies.
I find Japanese women beautiful and strong, but often portrait as submissive and that is very strange for me... Even in a male driven society...

Don't know what to measure in here.
Now that you've read the synopsis, there's nothing left for you to watch, except the intimate moments and the hot actors, haha. The 24 minutes story involves a college student and a man who meet in a basketball court and becomes affected to each other and end up in a relationship.Their life comes to a point where they're entirely each others but end up finding each other's biggest secret which is a big surprise to both of them and they can't help but continue on their paths. The end! Yes, that's how it ended without any explanation and now I seek the makers to come ahead and make us understand about the essence, please?
Even for a short run time, this thing felt very average for a Taiwanese BL because we have examples of good Taiwanese BL movies like "Dear Ex" , "Your Name Engraved Here-in" who are of very high quality.
Alike any Taiwanese feature movie, they put emphasis on cinematography and sound editing and shady representation of their lifestyles. These are few of the good points about it, along with the acting elements and intimate scenes which is plenty; too much for a 24min movie, like they were smooching each other every other moment. I mean I like sex scenes too (ugly laugh) but this short movie lacked screentime man.
The most meaningful thing was the symbolic representation of uniting a gold fish and a fighter fish.
Tbh, when the protest thingy poped up halfway after the story, I was kinda intrigued because this is an unique perspective in a bl or any love story I have seen but that again was wasted with the half-baked screenplay ending with lots of confusing questions. Xiang as an environmentalist was on one side and...... Won't spoil but I am disappointed to say that they could have done better with the context by making it an hour project.
Well, it's still watchable because of the acting elements and the exploding intimate scenes. So go for it because even if you don't like it, a 24mins piece won't hurt you.

Baby (Bai Bei Er’) is a world class film … a gem
My personal favorite film featuring Sina-Asian Global Superstar Yang Mi. An encapsulating narrative and masterfully evocative film, in a quest for a quest for Social Justice and key administrative reformations under the “One Child Policy” and Foster Care on a marginalized sector of children born with deformities and disabilities. The film wonderfully assert in narrative, a very moving story involving realistic characters dealing with which may be an actual on case- specific flawed bureaucratic policies of a country, which may just be enveloped in a long entrenched and autocratic welfare and benefits system for this marginalized sector. The film and portrayals blissfully present the humanity in foster care adoption and the advocacy of civic consciousness on this marginalized sector. Naturally and innately gifted Thespian Yang Mi known for playing larger than life characters on screen and in tele-drama series took a major great leap in taking on the role of a Jiang Meng, an on the surface Plain Jane yet with an inner plateau of immense personal resiliency and emotional strength Jiang Meng, aptly deserves a much hearty applause for this remarkable portrayal in kudos and laurels. As this modern day independent film is a cinematic gem truly deserving of much positive critical acclaim as well as a much deserved socio-civic political validation in accolade, with credit and distinction also an applause, as well from the “bees” (fans, supporters and avid followers of Yang Mi and in general the viewers. Was this review helpful to you?
Overdose sleeping pills, check.
Practicing how to see a ghost from a book, proceed.
Now I'm confused, I thought something like bending over to look back between your legs or brushing hair at midnight in front of a mirror was urban legend or how to see ghost that originaly from my country, so it's not but it's turns out it seems to be comprehensive in southeast asia.
For the film overall still fun but not creepy, instead only the comedy sticks in my mind. That dance battle in the apartment will be remembered.
When I think about it again, the film is indeed more pursuing to be funny, the horror aspect is not the main thing. They even parodied the iconic elevator scene, and it was hilarious. But unfortunately a parody is not something I expect from the conclusion of a horror film trilogy.

It's still scary, it's also quite impressive how this film binds the tension very strongly, which is indeed successful because the execution of the horror scenes often triggers adrenaline like the scene in the elevator (again) but in a different way from the first film, but extremely intense. It was from this scene that the topic of reincarnation began to emerge, where many ghosts were close to pregnant women in order to be reincarnated.
But unfortunately, like in the first film, I like the first and second act but the third act is very ridiculous, it feels tense but it looks stupid in my opinion. Whether it's because Joey failed to think, cause i think no matter how bad the ghosts are, if they go back to being babies, they won't remember anything about their past lives, and it's up to them as parents to direct them in the right direction.
Overall, still I love it, also great ending.

This film lived up to my expectations, it's wellcrafted, got some pretty dang good jumpscare that i haven't seen in ages that makes me goes shriek in the middle of the night, I love how this film keeps on giving me goosebumps and also maintains its tension throughout the film.
This film really takes advantage of what the main character has and executes it properly to spread terror, to be honest there are many films that feature ghosts that haunt but not to the point of making goosebumps or scary as in this film, where the character Mun is said to have been blind since she was a baby and only got to see when she was an adult after she got a corneal donor, but from someone who can see ghosts (how unlucky she is), Throughout the film we see her suffering with her eyes at being able to see ghosts where it affects her psychologically, where the ending feels acceptable.
Despite how good this film was to me overall,I really only like the first and second act, where there are many memorable moments of horror from the grim reaper to the moment in the elevator and there is still a sense of Hong Kong. The third act turned out to be like a thai horror film, the vibe, and even the cinematography changed. The changes weren't really harmful, it was just that the transition was a bit of a drag for me.
Overall, one the scariest asian horror film.
