UGH!!!! NO NO NO!!! WHY...????!
Seeing someone posted this on the feeds, I got intrigued… and decided to watch it.The story follows Shen Meng (SM) and Chen Jia Wen (JW), who break up on 520 (May 20th), known as Chinese Valentine’s Day. However, something unexpected happens. The next morning, when they wake up, only to realize it’s the same day again.
Confused, they reach out to one of their friends, Zhao Ming Xi, who explains that they are trapped in a time loop and if they want to break free, they’ll need to figure out why—and how.
At first, they didn't believe it. They try ignoring it. Fighting it. But no matter what they do, the day resets. Then, they notice something unusual—the projector in their room. Which usually plays one of the promises they made during their relationship, suddenly changes after they “complete” one of those promises.
With that discovery, they play by the rules and do their best to fulfill each promise. One by one, the projector made them revisit the promises they made throughout their relationship
1st. They promise to keep each other alive at the end of the world.
2nd. They promise to buy each other something once they can afford it.
3rd. JW once said he wanted to put SM in his pocket so he could take her everywhere—so they held hands for 24 hours straight.
4th. They used to underestimate each other’s jobs—so this time, they swap identities and step into each other’s roles, truly experiencing what the other goes through.
5th. When one of them suddenly develops a terminal illness, they vow to do everything to save each other—even if it means kissing an ex to help the other.
6th. SM once said she’d only feel heart-fluttering for JW—not any other man. Can that still be true?
7th. The alternative universe.
The seventh time is entirely different. SM and JW wake up before they ever start dating. They do cross paths again—but this time, they decided to not become a couple. Instead, armed with the knowledge of the future, they reshaped their own future.
But is this truly the end?
Will they escape the loop for good, or could it begin all over again?
In the end, this drama is not just about completing tasks to break a time loop like many similar stories. The loop becomes a lesson — teaching SM and JW about love, about each other, and about the importance of the promises that they once gave each other.
That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers. Overall I quite like this short drama. Included in one of my top titles for short drama, if not only for one major flaw…

Stunningly Beautiful Drama
What to say! The choice of Leads was astonishingly inspired. It is so great to see the wonderful Male lead back doing what he does best. Korean Netizens must be the worst followers on the Planet. They are deaddy and happily ruin creative successful actors without care. They must be really unhappy people. This drama is so brilliant. One of the best I have watched alongside 'Love Between Liness' so far this Year. The acting is memeorable. The story wonderful, the Performances superb. The settings are great, especially the Winery in Italy. The female lead also gave an outstanding performance. I cannot put my finger on, what exactly make the Male lead so appealing and lovable. His sensitivity is so attractive. Tgether with the Female Lead they have made an award Winning Drama. Hero is gorgeous too. I hope to see these actors again in more dramas. This is one out of the Box..Was this review helpful to you?
The Ultimate Cdrama Comeback ?
Love Game in Eastern Fantasy is officially the drama that brought me back to C-dramas! I truly don’t understand the hate Esther Yu gets for this role; people call her acting "childish," but in this world, her energy is perfect for Ling Miaomiao’s character. In Love Game, everything is high-quality: the storyline is gripping, the costumes are gorgeous, and the OST is absolutely top-tier. I also love that the cast has such a genuine, strong friendship off-screen—you can really feel that bond in their performances. However, we need to talk about that ending! It was low-key traumatizing to have the series end right when the Male Lead calls her name in the modern world. After all that emotional investment, a cliffhanger like that makes you want to pull your hair out! Despite the frustrating finale, the journey was incredible, and the chemistry between the leads is unmatched. ✨🎬

Great Leads but disappointing Script
I am a huge fan of Esther Yu and loved her performance in Love Between Fairy and Devil, but unfortunately, this drama was a major disappointment. While Esther is talented, the storyline for this show felt incredibly uncomfortable, specifically the "step-brother" dynamic and the way her character was written to act so childishly. The plot felt forced, and the excessive, unnecessary kiss scenes didn't help the awkward pacing. Despite my love for the cast, the weak and frustrating storyline eventually made me drop the series. 😅💕Was this review helpful to you?

Just no
If you take out the rape in the beginning then it is a good little show but I gave it a 1. How can a woman fall in love with the rapist? And romanticizing rape is f'd up. If only the beginning was different. The actors are good.
This is a good watch if you don't know the truth of how they met.

Mystery and Mastery ✨
I have watched every season of this series, I can confidently say it never disappoints. The lead actors are incredibly professional, portraying a brilliant team of investigators whose chemistry and friendship form the heart of the show; I’m even rooting for a happy marriage for Lu Lingfeng and Pei Xijun! The production quality remains top-tier, with exquisite Tang Dynasty costumes and makeup that bring the era to life. Each supernatural case is so gripping and imaginative that I find myself dreaming about the solutions. What truly moved me to tears were the emotional moments of celebration and the deep bond the group shares after every solved mystery. It is a perfect blend of suspense and soul. 🐉✨Was this review helpful to you?
A Masterpiece of History and Emotion
I just finished this incredible drama, and the acting was so powerful that it moved me to tears. The production is truly breathtaking, from the stunning costumes and makeup of the empresses to the beautifully captured Chinese history and architecture. Every actor was professional and talented, making the intense war and fight scenes feel truly engaging. With its amazing music and high-quality performances, this drama absolutely deserves an award! 💕✨Was this review helpful to you?
the main leads are gorgeous
giving this an 8/10 only cause the second ml plot got boring after a point i absolutely did not care about him and he took up too much space in the story.but talking about the main couple... GORGEOUS. lin yusen was horrendous levels of down bad and i approve so wholeheartedly like if a man is not so deeply in love i do not want him. the progression of their relationship is so so so beautiful. they had me swooning at multiple points.
insane rewatch value too like im here for these two hot people falling in love. 🩷

absolutely gorgeous romance!
this is such a bingeable and rewatchable show. the main couple is absolutely chef's kiss. i adored them so much. the side characters are also well thought out and they moved the plot along nicely. i think my favourite side plot was that the fl's bestie dumped her good for nothing husband and started afresh like that arc was so nice to see.the inclusion of the game into the main leads' story was absolutely sensational. loved how they used it to pull the story forward. i think we needed an extended epilogue though it would've been so fun to see that.
overall, a definite must watch!

// Up to your verdict, honestly.
/ Forgot that I haven't reviewed my first KDrama of 2026./ A lot of family drama was conveyed in this series. Most of them are quite a matured approach, I'd say.
/ Ending was really up to the audience's judgment.
/ First for me to watch a drama that is not from your typical KR TV network as they are known for movie productions and was just published by Netflix on a global catering.
/ So Min really upped her game in this one!

The story moves fast, kinda cringe, the leads are good looking, the villain is hilariously cartoonish, acting is okay, just your typical short vertical drama.*Spoilers alert*
What bothers me the most is just the part when Pete was sick after getting locked in the freezer.
Why do Win took him home to cure him? They were literally in a hospital!?!?! Like, WHY? That was honestly so abstract it took me out, i was laughing at it for a good 5 minutes.
But WTF WAS THAT? Seriously. WTF!?

If a drama was ridiculous, it would be this.
Y'all are really lying about this drama. This must be targeted towards a much younger audience especially with the writing and acting and even then, it is an insult to the younger audience. Stand out acting being only from He Yu. I had to skip so much of the episodes. 8.5?!! Everyone is being really generous it seems. Was this review helpful to you?
So wholesome and healing
- I seriously liked every single contestant. All so likable and looked out for one another.- I think the episodes are well paced and never boring. It was easy to get invested.
- Although there were many overlaps and unrequited feelings, everyone had very mature conversations about them
- My ghost ship were the two new students who were both the cutest ones in the bunch.
- No complaints
Some thoughts on the contestants:
Jiwoo
- My favorite from the moment she arrived. I find her super cute and brutally honest. I adore her.
- The cutest cry face ever :((
- Very patient and hands-on with the person she likes lol.
- She can make chemistry with any guy in the house
- In my opinion the best communicator. She’s very well-spoken. She turns people down really well.
- She’s most charming and playful with Jung hyun. My favorite date the entire show was their glamping. Could not stop laughing. Her witty and forward remarks kept flustering him and making him blush.
Se yeon
- I like how he managed his shift in feelings. Spoke to all parties involved.
- In terms of personality and vibe, one of my favorite guys. Giving princely energy.
- This man is disciplined. Always wakes up early to work out and keeps his bed tidy.
- Did everything right with Jiwoo. Never pressured her, always took initiative and pursued, and was overall respectful in the process. Even in rejection he was gracious.
Jung yun
- My personal pick looks-wise. Hes handsome and looks the manliest.
- Rooted for him and Jiwoo all the way, but he had an ego to him that I didnt like seeing. Especially when compared to his rival who was way more pleasant and accommodating to her.
- Probably the only one in the house that isnt a good communicator but its understandable.
Pyeong seok
- Such a cutie. Has the most melt-worthy smiles.
- Seriously good looking with his hair is slicked back. When he was working out with the other guys, he seriously looked the most attractive.
- House husband material. Always cleans and cooks in the house
- The greenest flag. Him and Heeji were the most unproblematic duo
Heeji
- SUCH A GOOD FRIEND. Girl’s girl and guy’s bro.
- The rock of this group. She took care & managed everyone so well.
Sang Won
- consistent, mature, respectful
- I like how he doesn’t want ambiguous partners.
Jimin
- His treatment of seo yeong annoyed me. Felt disrespected on her behalf, especially on that date. I appreciate him apologizing though.
- Best banter with yerin. I love watching how much fun they have on dates.
Yerin
- I find her so charming. Her energy is so contagious and has a talent of making people around her feel comfortable.
- I love her hair

Anticlimatic ending destroy this drama
I watched this on Christmas eve but i don't have any mood to make review about this drama until now. This version has more logical and detailed plot, with a very clear main storyline. It focuses on the relationship between the ML and FL, while retaining the familial bond between the FL and her son, as well as the healing of her mental illness. Other subplots have been removed.
The overall pacing is smooth and the content is tight, but the ending feels rushed and anticlimactic, failing to clearly explain the awakening of the fictional characters. The emotional storylines include both romantic and familial love, with rich layers of development and clear emotional progression. ML acts as a bridge between his son and FL, no longer just watching passively.
The new treatment plan involves hypnotizing FL instead of the doctor. This approach is clear because a mother is willing to give everything for her child
The ending doesn't clearly explain which piece of evidence led to the female doctor's arrest. Wang Nan and Yuan Yu Han are both talented actors with good chemistry; their every expression and gesture showcases their acting prowess. Ironically, this ending doesn't do justice to their skills.
Still decent watch.
