I like knowing that they're happily together in real life lol
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS ENDING. YeQing's mom drove me crazy; I wanted to smack her so bad. Like I get it, but she caused so much trouble for everyone. I'm not even sure why I was hooked lol Maybe because they're a real-life couple? idkThe pacing is slower than modern dramas which is normal for this era. But I think the writing is pretty solid. The characters and plot are well-grounded and cohesive. Acting is solid, I never felt taken out of the drama (although I couldn't stop thinking about what filming this was like for them as a real couple).

Lost in Words, Found in Feelings.
Expected a light romcom about language, but it turned out to be more about emotions, misunderstandings, and unspoken feelings. What I liked most was how it showed miscommunication, emotional distance, and the tiredness of always adjusting yourself for others.
That part felt very real and relatable.
However, the story and romcom moments were quite predictable, with a few gaps in the plot.
Honestly, it would have felt better if they had shown more romance between them and added 1–2 extra episodes, but it is what it is. 👀
Hoping we all find someone who truly understands and speaks the language of our love. 🥹

Last episode is disappointing.
Last episode was disappointing. Why did they introduce the idea of Mu Hee's parents still being alive after all this time, have Mu Hee fly to meet her mom if they weren't gonna show or do anything with that? Is her mom in jail? How did their meeting go?? That's like the most important thing about this drama, her parents especially her mother since they are the cause of her trauma. Overall, this drama is meh. The only good things about it are the scenery and the cast. Was this review helpful to you?

Feels half finsihed
This show needed another 2 episodes or a longer flash forward as so many of the ongoing subplots were not really addressed or wrapped up.- What happened with Older Brother / Sister battle?
- Did parents stay married or not?
- the Mistress new life
Then you had mention or characters that basically did nothing for the overall story. The middle sister, the ML father, the 2nd ML Father mentioned but never had a scene not his other brother?!?
For all the 2nd ML drama with his Mother & FL 2 they did not show much beyond the flash forward, showing them living together, wedding would've been nice ending for them. Kinda let down the FL 1 and ML 1 only took the next step a year later, so what happened in that year?!??
Outside of these gaps, the acting was decent, the family dynamics were interesting andf the FL 1 had nice business clothes in the later half.
It just didn't feel complete at the end.

Dare you to death
I'm in love with JOONGDUNK 😘 but this serie is the best ❤️❤️❤️❤️The acting, directing, and overall production are absolutely fantastic. I am truly enjoying and loving every bit of this series!
The Dynamic: The transition from Jade's caring side to his playful attempts to get Kamin's attention creates a perfect balance of "sweet" and "spicy."
Visual Storytelling: The production quality really highlights the emotional tension, especially in those close-up moments and the climactic kiss.

Worth every moment watching and re-watching Zhao Jinmai and Song Weilong!
For someone who usually waits until a series finishes before I watched, I could not help but to binge watch when the episodes were released two at a at time at 4am and sometimes one at a time. It was agonizing. But someone was right, went back and rewatched once all the episodes were released to get all the nuances. If you like Gu Man’s other drama made from her books such as Love O2O and You Are My Glory, this drama did not disappoint. Well written and adapted and with the communist propaganda in episode 25. I am only looking for sweet rom-com. Not politics.
But noteworthy episodes are episode 24, 30 and 33. Zhao Jinmai is a young actress, but OH MY! Can she act!! Song Weilong was a favorite of mine as he was so hot in Find Yourself and Go Ahead. Some people say he is stiff. He is not. Healthy love drama with sweet unwavering support from ML as FL goes from young, carefree college student to workplace professional in new technology world while balancing divorced parents and romance.

Why many men are still single?
This drama highlights why many men remain single today: a deep fear of rejection and social awkwardness. Over time, they retreat into their own cocoons, finding comfort and safety there. Family disputes and conflicts often serve as convenient excuses for their continued solitude. In the story, Yu Yu is unconsciously drawn to his doctor, Gu YeJia, and shows a willingness to step out of his protective shell. It was my first time seeing actress Zhu Zhu in a leading role, despite her long career in the industry. I was especially charmed by her distinctive dimples, which make her presence memorable. The casting overall is strong, adding to the drama’s appeal. However, I was surprised by how quickly the story concluded once the characters confessed their love. I had hoped to see more—scenes of their marriage, their newly renovated home as a couple, and even glimpses of a family with children.

final ep wasnt released
im changing my rating to 1 because:-they ruined a good show by not posting the final ep
-i check after ages and still its the same situation
-fake promises of "we will release the ep", whats the point of lying?
-there was preview so the final ep was filmed but 0 explanation about what happened
-this is a lack of respect to both the audience and the actors: the worst thing to do is to never post the final ep thats cruel to the audience who were invested in the show but never got a closure about how it ended, and its also not something good to do this to the actors who worked hard and gave it their all. whats worse is lying that they will post it, clarity/transparency was needed. you might not have the answer that the audience wanted but at least be clear

Red Herring: The Movie. This is pretty much dog's crap
A scummy dude gets killed; his equally scummy brother - but with pathological violence issues, instead of being a crack-head wife-beater - sets out to find the killer and hand out a miscarriage of justice.I'm all for revenge flicks, vigilante flicks, thrillers... I don't like violence, but it can fun when it's unrealistic, and conveys the sense of urgency when it's done right. Here, the violence is because all the main characters are scum of the Earth and don't know how to do - and probably aren't even much good at - anything else.
Obviously then, we don't have a good motive to cheer for the lead in his quest, nor can we support him, since he's an epic arse-hole.
The plot is an absolute mess too!
The first 6 minutes were mindless flashes and people not even introduced properly, in a student-like montage. It was a very bad sign and, unfortunately, the rest of the story barely progressed.
We had a writer character in the film just to prove am insipid, stupid distraction, a missing woman we never got to know or really care about, some fight scenes which were not fun, but, where not overly brutal (thankfully), did a good job in turning me off of the main character, and dull dialogues, as everyone walked around not much giving a toss, and being too secretive or thinking they're too cool to have any real conversations.
Honestly: there's nothing to recommend and I'm gutted that I wasted an hour and 40 minutes watching this, instead of something else.
Don't make the same mistake.

there is no respect
the reason for my rating:there is no respect to both the audience and the contestants.
they didnt post all eps, then they took some eps off and only left 2 eps on Youtube.
there is no info about what happened or where they might post it, or where to watch the rest, so they left everyone confused.
so im not bothering to watch, by the way this is a second time that i see something like this did happen, another company did post all eps of a show but didnt post the final ep, and thats so cruel to the audience who wanted to know so badly about what happened in the final ep they just gave promise to release it and they never did, now going back to talk about this show i dont appreciate the confusion, them not being clear about what happened and giving an unfinished show

Turning the tide of war
Set in WWII just after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, Sunset Glory details the story behind the Doolittle Raid from both the US and Chinese points of view. It is a rare find in Chinese drama land, and for most of the 44 episodes, this is a well-produced, written and performed show. The spy storyline on the island drags a bit after the middle of the drama, but the story has a strong climax towards the end both in terms of the personal stories of the characters and in terms of the larger historical context. All in all, a great story of what is sacrificed in war - one's identity, humanity and sanity - and what mankind can do to turn the tides to end a war.If more time allowed, I would have preferred to see the pilots' rescue and aid from the Chinese afterwards in more detail rather than just with a montage and monologue over it, but perhaps that is another story to tell.
Of note, this is set during war times, so be prepared for difficult themes and scenes including rape, murder, etc.

Straight out of the mould and badly dressed.
Another Chinese romance from the mould. It’s a style that reminds me of a lazy summer holiday, where nothing much happens, the sun shines, there’s a couple of rainy days and occasionally you go see some sights, but mainly hang out on the beach under an umbrella listening to the sounds of waves lapping the shore. In true Chinese fashion, the goodies get the prizes, the baddies get punished and the occasional grey character reaches self improving realisations and regrets their transgressions. All nice and clean, warm and cosy. It’s a pleasurable enough state and let’s face it, we all want that unchallenging moral certainty. Especially in the current global crisis, it’s a place to hide in and recuperate.
However, I must admit that my comfy satisfaction was constantly under threat of disintegration because of wardrobe malfunctions. Poor Chen Xing Xu. I can’t believe that he has ever been so badly turned out in his life. Imagine turning up to work in something cool, and then having to change into a suit disaster in turd brown, so big it looks like an 80s power jacket with the shoulder pads removed, cut so badly that the sleeves pucker and wrinkle at the top and pants that made his bum look saggy. All whipped up in a shoddy material made from recycled plastic bags and bubble wrap. Not be outdone however, Lu Yu Xiao was all dumbed down in a similar shit brown potato sack at one point, and was forced into shoes that looked like steel toe caps on a night out. The only character who looked the part was Dai Xu, maybe he had a clause in his contract…
To be honest, this one didn’t shine above the average for me. The chemistry was a bit lacking, more on his side than hers I think. The scripted murder mystery theme provided a great start but wasn’t really woven into the story very well later on and promised more than was delivered.

Revenge story w/ good acting and two "yellow flags" falling for each other.
(I rate vertical BL dramas on their own sliding scale.) Melodramatic but if you can suspend disbelief (there are quite a few nonsensical things) it's mostly a fun watch. Two slightly unhinged people who start with just a physical relationship that grows to more (wouldn't really call it sweet though; neither are green flags).Quite good acting for a vertical BL. Lead's were believable in their roles and had emotional depth. There were multiple scenes with sexual/romantic tension and multiple kisses: a lot of them aggressive but consensual. There was a good push and pull between the leads, and even though it felt like it became a little repetitive as a plot device by the end, the resolution was good.
Trigger warning that there is one scene later on where one of the men rapes the other (they've been having sex but in this instance one is trapped and very much does not want it even though he loves the other). That did lower my score.
Other trigger warnings for suicide, violence, and gun violence.
At the time I watched it (Jan 2026), it was licensed on the channel @citrus-drama with good English subtitles:

I want to like this but.... there was many things that made it unenjoyable :'(
I found Harmony Secret after completing Affair. By the time I found it, there was many clips posted on social media such as Tiktok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. I knew I couldn't just miss out on this, seeing the many cute and exciting scenes online, and so I watched it. What were my thoughts? There were many things that made me frustrated and it was not what I expected. Read with caution because this is the part where I spoil. Firstly, back to the flashback where Aiwarin and Maevika have their contest thing (sorry my memory is fuzzy) and Maevika gets frustrated and throws her pen and then Aiwarin picks it up and then smiles and it just ends at there. There is no further clarification what the f is going. If that is how Aiwarin falls in love then that is one shallow plot. Another thing that made me irritated was when Aiwarin goes on a trip with Maevika to try find her mother but her mother denies that she is not her mother and then Aiwarin and Maevika drives off and then her mother is seen crying. No further clarification. Finally, at the end, Maevika comes back to Aiwarin because she suddenly forgives her for winning the bid. Seriously? Change 2561, if you were on a low budget to make Harmony Secret at least make the plot understandable :/

Started with a cute concept, then fell off
I loved the concept of the first part of the drama. It was realistic and dramatic, with comedy lines that mixed really well. The travelling and the challenges in the language translation were innovative and different, and even the miscommunication scenes were enjoyable (something that I'm usually not a fan of). So many cute and funny scenes. After the 7th episode it started to fall off, mainly due to the change in the plot. I guess I'd have preferred something more "realistic", and honestly I wasn't a big fan of the changes of personality. If they were necessary for character development? Yes, but I'd have preferred if they'd gone with another approach. And the break-up scenes were also starting to piss me off, there was absolutely no reason for that many break up scenes.
The drama would have been perfect if it was shorter. I loved the OST, the acting but most of all I loved the scenery and definitely the production.
