Mature romance
Watch this for MDL Challenge. Just as the title suggests, this is a story about one couple and their relationship across five stages of love, told through different chapters of their lives. The film follows Lance, an aspiring doctor, and Justine, a career-driven fashion designer, as they navigate the complexities of love over roughly eight years. Unlike traditional rom-coms, this movie is structured into chapters that focus on the lows, conflicts, and turning points of their relationship rather than just the sweet highlights.
2015: The Prologue (Singapore)
Lance (a tourist and medical student) and Justine (a fashion brand manager based in Singapore) meet at a concert. What was supposed to be a one-night stand turns into an intense emotional connection. Before Lance leaves, he introduces the idea of “quantum entanglement”—the belief that once two particles connect, they remain linked regardless of distance. Inspired by this idea, they decide to try a long-distance relationship as Lance returns to the Philippines.
2016: Chapter 2 (The Return to Manila)
Justine gives up her high-paying job in Singapore to move back to the Philippines for Lance. She takes on a consultant role, hoping for a fresh start. But reality hits hard. Lance is overwhelmed by medical school, and Justine feels out of place among his wealthy friends. A heated argument at a house party becomes the breaking point. Their different worlds, ambition, and pressure pull them apart.
2018: Chapter 3 (The Reconciliation)
They cross paths again during the renewal of vows for Justine’s parents. Despite having been apart for a long time, the attraction is still there. They decide to give their relationship another chance and eventually move in together at Lance’s condo.
2020: Chapter 4 (The Pandemic & Betrayal)
The COVID-19 pandemic hits. Lance is now a general surgeon working on the front lines, while both of them are confined to a small condo. The emotional strain, exhaustion, and growing distance lead to betrayal—and ultimately, another breakup.
2023: Chapter 5 (The Finale)
Three years later, Justine has successfully built her own fashion brand. They meet again at a hospital when Justine’s father is admitted. This time, they finally have an honest and raw conversation about everything they’ve been through.
Now the question:
Will they find their way back to each other, or is this truly the end—where both choose to move forward separately and continue their lives apart?
In the end this isn’t a story about perfect love. It’s about real love—messy, painful, beautiful, and unforgettable. If you’re bored with typical romances where everything has to be beautiful and ideal; and want something real, raw, and relatable, this could be the perfect choice for you to watch.

what were those two doing there in the end lol (not talking abt the fl and ml)
pleasantly surprised at how giggly and fluffy i got after watching this drama. High percentage of me enjoying this drama is because of the couple's chemisitry that went thru the roof! mature love is seriously the best. even with the usual aloof ceo/nervous staff combination, the good writing make every characters feel 3d and not cheap imitation of the french counterpart.also all the star-studded cameos! im Indonesian and how surprised i am to learn this drama took place in Bali, heck when I saw Omara (the driver when they went searching for god send cacao) i needed to do double take lmao and akanishi jin? he is so hot 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

HONEST REVIEW !!!!?
SHORT REVIEWHonestly, episodes 1–4 were the best. After that, the rest felt like trash.
The supporting characters didn’t help much and were mostly useless. In the end, the MC did everything by himself to solve the problems. He has three friends, but they never actually help him—they’re more like cameo characters, just useless additions.
The villain looked strong at first, especially when he was shown training, but the MC has way too much plot armor. Because of that, the drama became bad and unrealistic. I thought the MC would become much stronger after the prison arc, but that didn’t happen at all.
The ending was bad too. Overall, it was just bullshit. I don’t understand why everyone keeps saying this drama is good.

? Surely Tomorrow — Love, Pain, and the Hope of Warmth
While watching this drama, I kept realizing something uncomfortable but real — sometimes people start believing alcohol is the solution to everything… and that it’s already too late to quit. That thought alone makes this drama hit hard.I genuinely felt bad for the male lead. He’s such a pure soul — kind, patient, and emotionally open. And while the female lead has her own struggles (so you can’t fully blame her), I still couldn’t help feeling sorry for him. She needed someone like him… but that doesn’t make his pain any lighter.
This drama is heartbreaking enough that at times you might want to pause or stop watching. Sometimes the female lead feels toxic — but again, it’s complicated. That’s what makes the story feel so real. It also quietly reminds you that money alone means nothing if you don’t have someone who truly cares about you.
So if you’re in the mood for a painful love story, emotionally heavy moments, and watching someone finally meet warmth after a long cold journey — Surely Tomorrow might just break your heart in the right way. 💛
P.S. This is one of those dramas that hurts… but still makes you believe that tomorrow can be better.

Pure chaos. Simple, fun, entertaining.
Oh how I do love Anzu, a girl whose priorities in life are cat, gaming, and chocolate. I feel seen. Also, if you are a watcher of Japanese BL, there’s a truckload of actors you will recognise, who will proceed to be rather entertaining in whatever they do onscreen.
The story is what it says on the tin, with so many entertaining plays on clichés you will have seen time and time again. It is not particularly deep, although there are some pleasant sentiments in there too. The music is fun and bombastic to match the moment well in many of the crazier scenes. Anzu is also a consistent character who is a joy to watch.
Beyond special FX being rough in a couple places (understandably so I may add), I don’t have any particular critiques for this film. I enjoyed it the whole way through and they didn’t mess up with the ending.
If it looks fun to you, it’s worth a watch. If it doesn’t look like your cup of tea, it probably isn’t. If you’re a watcher of BL, try and count how many actors you recognise, I’m pretty sure there’s at least 7~8 actors who have been in BL to be found, if not more.

Light and fun drama to watch
Peach Trap hooked me right from the start. Three attractive men all fighting for one person? Yeah sign me up!!!! I won’t lie, I kind of wished I were Do Ha for a second. The concept felt fresh enough to be entertaining, even though it isn’t entirely new. It shares similarities with Secret Relationship, but what sets Peach Trap apart is the uncertainty. You genuinely don’t know who Do Ha will end up with, and that unpredictability keeps the drama engaging and fun to watch.Where the series struggles, though, is its length. Fitting everything into just eight episodes felt rushed. With three male leads,, each with their own storyline and individual moments with Do Ha,, the pacing moved a little too fast. None of them really got enough screen time to fully develop. That said, I didn’t mind too much, because honestly… I was rooting for the best friend the whole time anyway (fight meee!!).
Each character had their own charm, so it made sense that viewers had different biases while the show was airing. Even though I already knew who Do Ha would end up with because of spoilers, I still found myself constantly changing my mind while watching. In the end, though, I stuck with my original bias, Taek Gyeon. After seeing their history as childhood best friends, how could I not? If Do Ha didn’t want him, I would’ve gladly taken him myself thankyou.
I was a bit confused about Ha Ram’s role, though. There was clearly some tension between him and Taek Gyeon (hmmmm…), but the drama never fully explained it. My suspicions were partly confirmed in the final scene when Taek Gyeon implied that Ha Ram never truly wanted Do Ha,, but that thread was never explored further so I guess we will never knoww. Then there was the scene involving Ha Ram and the other jiu-jitsu trainer, which only added to my confusion. Maybe I missed something, but that subplot felt underdeveloped, and I wish the writers had clarified it moreee.
The Ending
As someone who always roots for the childhood best friend, I was very satisfied with the ending. I didn’t expect much going in, so getting not just one kiss, but multiple kisses?!!! was a pleasant surprise. And one of them wasn’t even the usual cute, safe BL kiss; it was actually steamy, which made it even better zhaaha. When Do Ha chose Taek Gyeon in episode seven, I was excited that we’d get a full episode dedicated to their dating era, and thankfully, the show delivered.
Overall, Peach Trap is a must watch if you enjoy love triangles, emotional confusion, and the thrill of not knowing who the main character will choose until the very end. WATCH ITTT!

Something new and different
Love Begins in the World of If follows Kano, a former technician turned salesman who struggles with anxiety. Whenever he becomes overwhelmed, his anemia acts up, forcing him to eat something sweet to stabilize himself. This small but telling detail immediately grounds his character and sets the tone for the story, one rooted in vulnerability and quiet struggle.Ogami, Kano’s batchmate, initially tries to help him after Kano transfers to a new workplace. However, after a certain incident, Ogami comes to believe that Kano doesn’t want his support. Respecting what he assumes are Kano’s boundaries, Ogami distances himself and lets Kano handle things alone.
One night, everything comes crashing down. Kano is about to lose an important client, so he stays late at the office trying to fix things by himself. That same night, Ogami returns from a work trip and finds Kano still working. Wanting to quietly support him, Ogami gives him a special chocolate he brought back and offers advice that quietly changes everything: “Don’t shoulder everything by yourself, it will only drag you down.”
Later that night, under a full moon, Kano’s condition flares up as he walks home. Thankfully, he still has the chocolate Ogami gave him. He stumbles upon a small shrine tucked away on a quiet street and decides to rest for a moment. What he doesn’t know is that the shrine houses a magical mirror, one that claims, “Those who gaze into this mirror will see the person they wish to become, and one day, they will truly reach that form.” Feeling hopeless and worn down, Kano makes a wish. Unexpectedly, he is transported to another world! An alternate universe where the version of himself he’s always envisioned is finally thriving.
This raises the main question of the drama: Will this world truly give Kano what he’s been longing for, especially when it comes to love?
This drama is a refreshing take on fantasy within the BL genre. At first, I was unsure how the story would unfold, but everything came together surprisingly well!! It felt new and different from most BLs I’ve watched before, it's memorable in a way that lingers after watching it.
I’ll admit, I hesitated during the first two episodes. I assumed it would follow the same tropes, and once Kano was transported to the alternate universe, I thought I could predict where the story was going. To my surprise, none of my predictions came true lmaoo. The plot consistently took turns I didn’t expect, which made the experience far more engaging.
The acting was top notch! which wasn’t surprising given that both leads have appeared in well known projects before. Special mention goes to Kotaro, who played Kano. He portrayed Kano’s self doubt and low self-esteem with incredible nuance. Every emotion felt genuine,, you could truly feel his anxiety, his internal battles, and his quiet desperation, almost as if you were standing in his place.
Ogami’s actor also delivered a strong performance really. He embodied Ogami exactly as Kano perceives him: charismatic, smooth talking, and occasionally distant. What impressed me most was how clearly he differentiated between the two versions of Ogami. In scenes involving the alternate universe,, especially when Ogami appears at the shrine, you can immediately tell whether you’re seeing the real world Ogami or his AU counterpart. That distinction was handled remarkably well. While some flirty scenes felt a bit artificial, and the chemistry occasionally fell short, it didn’t completely undermine their performances.
As for the ending, this is where the drama faltered for me. The final episode felt too rushed and, honestly, a little disappointing. After carefully building tension through jealousy and misunderstandings, I expected more emotional development. Instead, the conflict was resolved almost immediately in episode 6, followed by an intimate scene that felt unearned. (which personally, I skipped, not because it was bad, but because I didn’t feel the emotional connection had fully matured yet, but maybe it's just the hopeless romantic side of me lolll). But timing matters everyonee!!
I appreciated getting Ogami’s point of view in the final episode though, but I wish the drama had been given more room to breathe :( With better pacing during the falling action and resolution, the ending could have been far more satisfying.
Overall, Love Begins in the World of If is a refreshing addition to the BL genre. While it may not be the strongest drama due to its rushed ending, the actors’ performances more than make up for it. Their portrayal of emotionally complex characters elevates the entire experience, making this drama well worth watching.

Watch this drama because Yu Shuxin My first impression of Xinxin as Jiangmu was that it was a perfect match! When I saw the reuters, I immediately felt that she was a perfect match for Introduce. Then I tried to read the novel and every time I imagined Jiangmu while reading, it was really Xinxinxinxin is so beautiful in every single scene. I really can’t stop looking at her because she looks so stunning in this show. But she is not just a pretty face; her acting is also very amazing and feels so real. She brings so much charm to her character, making the story feel alive. You can really feel her emotions in every part of the drama. She is truly a great actress who makes this show very special to watch.
yu shuxin, the actress that you are! right here, she played jiang mu’s pain so perfectly – she didn’t just shed tears out of sadness, she shed tears of helplessness because he was gone before her eyes. the devastation and exhaustion was acted so well!

An interesting story with a spoiled ending
The beginning of the story was interesting and even exciting, then even after her return from abroad, the story was still good. But it wasn't explained why her mother hated him so much. In addition, their wedding was supposed to be like what? The ending spoiled the whole story.Because of the ending, I wouldn't watch this series a second time. It was too fast for how the story flows relatively at the beginning.
And I managed to do that with Ester, with whom I often don't give her voice. ☺️

Hou Ming Hao is Anime Pretty
I enjoyed the initial push and pull of the leads trying to outsmart and outmaneuver one another in charming and amusing ways. Both leads were attractive and exuded chemistry with one another.Once they knew one another, the drama suffered a bit in trying to manufacture conflict that wasn't sensible and only served to pad the episode. Noble idiocy struck often and hard. Misunderstandings abounded when just one sentence could have cleared everything up. Thankfully, the leads started to work together and actually communicate without massively lying to one another, but it was frustrating getting to that point.
The OST was good, the costumes were attractive, and the cast was beautiful.

超不可爱小友(唐斯昊) is a beautiful man! He's in a bunch more BL short dramas directed by 珍子JaneX but their not on this site because they're like, student films or something? Douyin one offs? He seems to be known as a kind of cosplayer maybe? or a model? Anyway, in this one he is a hired musician who becomes the client's concubine(probably?) but wants to be with with the master's illegitimate son, father dies, a legitimate son comes back from exile, tries to force himself on the musician, illegitimate son kills legitimate son, they run off together (maybe?). It's only 7 minutes and the plot just slaps you in the face. Was this review helpful to you?
Imo track #1 is a masterpiece, #2 is iffy, #6 is weak, and the rest are great
Oh I wrote the original review not realizing there was ep 8-10.... and somehow I didnt realize 7 existed... someone on internet marked ep 6 as 7, so I thought 6 and 7 was one story in two pieces... Oh welll... HERE IS THE CORRECTED REVIEW after watching all 10 tracks :)I loved most Love Track episodes.
Episode 6 is poorly written and I gave up.
#2 is badly acted.
The rest are GEMS!!!
*** #1 is a masterpiece. ***
Oh I have to write 300 characters...
I want to see what happened AFTER the end of Track #1.
#2 is a classic tropey cheesy immature rom com
THe one with the funeral too... but it has a lot deeper notes and is acted well, it has the twists, .... so I am also curious ... which guy stayed?
The one with the wolf and zookeepers was hillariosly real. I love ML as a good guy. FL as a snide is not so fun LOL I love that actress, she is such a good actress, but dont put her only in snide roles.
#7 is amazing, I love ML actor, he is excellent. The story is so improv comedy
#8 Minji Minji Minji is sooo cute :) and such excellent sincere and straight forward communication. I am IMPRESSED. I am impressed by acting of everyone, but especially ML is great
#9 is amazing, I love ML actor, he is such a great actor! Every role I see him in, he is totally a diferent character and always convincingly so... I think that is a genius actor...
This story is great and filmed great, and the ending is sad... but .. realistic... But ... they really should ... well how can I impose? but somehow I feel they should try again.
#10 is amazing too. I love FL in a romantic nice role, she usually played villans and this romantic loving role really shows more of her acting. The ML is great too. His character is so nice, I wish I had a son like that. And I loved FL's friend from work, she was so lively.
I loved the epilogue couples talking. I hope the apartment couple overcomes their slump.

Has potential but misses the mark
Our Golden Days had potential but imo totally went off.... It was supposed to be a great commentary on unemployment, seniors having to work, women's rights, women at work force, women in relationships, jerky blind males coming to their senses, about family conflict and sacrifices, what do parents owe to their kids, what do kids owe to their parents, about reconciling parents and children, stern idiotic proud fathers, bad mothers, criminals, what do adopted childrren owe to their real and surrogate parents, friendship, etc etc etc, etc. IT HAD GREAT POTENTIAL as it raised sooo many relevant issues..... and them imo flopped. The script did not present the issues well, FL could not act, ML/FL were practically the only ones on the screen - and the moron cemented Dad - and the filming made it too draggy...I stopped watching Our Golden Days. I bailed out when FL just had to donate her liver. Pfsk. The third KBS weekender with young ppl donating their livers to some doozies. Now ML has to get a donated heart...
The best parts were Soo Bin - Soon Jae and Ye Ra - Youngest Brother pairs.... but they recently got removed... The family is telling their grown daughter she cannot date this guy bc he was divorced and his family is not nice and they dont want her to suffer - but all her life they kept her in poverty to pay hospital bills for the drunken grandpa... !!!!! It is like .. brain dead hypocritical family. I just had to quit watching that.
FL-ML pair never worked out bc FL actress cannot act and the script was not in their favor.
Also the trope of a toxic disfunctional family that messed up their kids - they put all money and attention into saving the grandpa who willingly engaged in reckless activities and kept causing more and more hospital bills!!! and the family heads, their kids, paid it all and disadvantaged their kids, aka the grandchildren, for life - but then the same adults want to dictate who kids marry bc it is so important for kids' happiness... !!! Bologney. It killed SB-SJ pair that was so fun to watch. And Webtoon-Bodyguard couple also got killed...
FL is acted as a snide cynical cold person and I think it misses the point.. I really dislike the FL actress lack of acting skills...
Our Golden Days has a lot of potential but just never took off bc some conservative film makers always push it back into soapy dumb trash.
=====
Sorry for length I was just rambling on, I have no time to polish this
It was very ... rough. It was so ... harsh, macho, lots of melodrama, all miscommunications, ... Bad script... FL on the screen a lot and cannot act... .The Father on the screen a lot as a totally clueless poker faced cemented old geezer closed mind character... ML a lot on the screen as a jerk....
Our Golden Days made some mistakes.. it had just a few actors and focused mostly on ML and FL on the screen but then it gave awful script to ML and made him a jerk for too long, and FL actress was just TERRIBLE in acting... Also, since ML and FL were on the screen a LOT and the drama used the other characters as just fluff and rarely showed them... they were kinda really on the side - the drama got really bogged down. FL was on the screen so much and had nothing to offer... she was sooo boring... her acting is terrible... and ML had a terrible script so his time on the screen was mostly wasted - first he was a harsh rude jerk, then he was this grown man who behaved like a teenager when he first discovers hormones, which was rather .. weird... waste of talent for that actor... then we had ... liver donation.. then heart donation... then forbidding a grown daughter to date someone bc she was supposed to live well and free - but her family bogged her down for like 30 yrs while they paid hospital bills of some drunken grandpa who could care less and kept smoking drinking etc and smooching for his medical bills...
then we as the audience complained and then side stories took over and that was a breath of fresh air. The 2 side couples and the villain mom saved the drama!!!!! but then were removed to make way for the plot of donating the heart...
And this is not the first time that secondary pairs took over to save the drama! In 3 Bold Siblings, Mi Young and the youngest sister took over the drama since FL was 100% terrible in acting omg. ML tried so hard but she was a piece of CEMENT. etc.

Has potential but misses to show character growth
I am interested in Love Me bc it starts with a very fascinating situation - a lulled family that maintains the illusion of 2 "good parents" trying to act as superhumans.. which creates 2 spoiled brat kids - but on the surface, they are a great "nice family" ..... Until mother and daughter's toxicity creates an accident and results in them hating and blaming each other for 7 years.. and dad and brother exposed in their toxicity too... So this setup had a lot of potential. Like american movie Ordinary People...========
WRITTEN AFTER EP 4:
But Love Me does not work out the issues... MAGICALLY as soon as the mother dies, all these characters become open and fluid.. literally almost overnight... Hello... ! They are lucky they find more open and loving lovers, but still... there is no showing of their own inner growth.... They grow so fast and effortlessly, and it just does NOT compute...
The drama is filmed in the darkness, they need to use more light so that we can see actors' faces and facial expressions

Ok but unfortunately not a masterpiece
Nice to Not Meet You is kinda fun but it is not a masterpiece. I am sad about it. I am a fan of FL actress, she acts so well. She is a perfect nerdy reporter in this drama. But the drama tries to showcase the ML actor, who is OK but too much of his character on the screen ruins the drama by imbalancing it, imo. Also, ML actor's acting abilities are limited, he does not seem able to relate to many situations and emotions to be able to act them out properly. He can be a great comedian, I totally loved his dodging of the Evil Actress trying to kiss him while filming Kang Pil Gu LOL He is also great in being a smooth player. But he cannot act vulnerability, honesty, etc He stays on the surface.
And the script is just .. not great. ML is a whiney snowflake diva, and FL is a love-clueless nerd, and the two just never interact enough and properly to advance themselves and their love.. and their misunderstandings are just NOT fun for so long.
The show is ending in 2 episodes and things have not moved forward enough yet.
