heads up not a disaster movie...

The title of the movie can be quite misleading cause I thought it was a survival disaster movie. However, suddenly they start introducing the sci-fi elements which just throws it off pace....my focus was on the flood but now the story is completely different and the flood becomes redundant.

*Spoilers ahead*

Basically the story is in a way showing what AI deep learning/training looks like. The FL is training AI children to make an emotional connection through the repeated trainings. This is what the company believes will save mankind. Just as how she needs to make a child she also needs to make a mother. The training scenario given to the mother was finding her lost child in the middle of the flood. How the AI trains is situational training basically (something like supervised learning). So they made this concept into a movie.

Hence the process of finding her son in the flood just loops and loops with different scenarios until they finally succeed.

The story was not strong enough for me to find any emotional bond with the characters. So this might not be everyone's cup of tea!

Watch just for wasting my time

I watch the plot for Tian Tianyi since i love her.

The Plot is about FL aka Shen Tang Ning was betrayed by her scumbag husband and being killed by him. She was being reborn and married his useless brother and help him to get pas scholar examination.

Plot is somehow well-written and not to jumpy. OK, Tian Tianyi and An Ziyang giving sister brother vibe instead of couple. As for An Ziyang, he cannot act even his kiss skill isn't that great and he didn't even try to build the chemistry with FL.

The drama is not memorable and only deserve to watch only once.

This is a fever dream, with incredible visuals : artsy, obscure, lenghty

This movie was quite an incredible cinematic experience. It was really thought-provoking but also quite lengthy and difficult to digest in one sitting, which I did.

The story in itself felt like a fever dream, jumping the viewer from vignette to vignette with some striking visuals. Each story had its own graphic palette of colors and tones, its own way of filmmaking...The care on the esthetics, the meticulous attention to details, was the best part of the film. However, while the craft being outstanding, there was also a lack of clarity in the storytelling that felt a bit frustrating to me, making the viewing experience also somewhat tiresome. I wish they would have done the set up and the ending in a less conceptual way, to brought together better the whole movie.

Acting was really good with the minimalist cast doing a solid job. Especially Jackson Yee, who I didn't know and who was incredible in this. I am astonished at how good he is and the range he demonstrated. I will definitely be looking forward to watching him in more roles.

I would recommend this movie to people that enjoy artsy, conceptual and experimental movie. If you want a good brain scratch, this is the movie for you. It is for sure not without flaws in its storytelling and pacing, but it really leaves a strong lasting impression on the viewer who is bound to be left with many questions and thoughts.

Offbeat comedy with wonderful performances but no romance

I added this drama to my playlist a few months ago when I was perusing the work of Zhao Mu Yan. I had only watched a handful of Zuo Ming dramas and I liked his acting. I finally decided to watch this drama today and I enjoyed myself.

What I liked:
1. Comedy - Offbeat. I was entertained even though slapstick isn't my type of comedy.
2. Acting - Zhao Mu Yan was fantastic as transmigrated Wang Ma who wanted to investigate her death. Good comedic timing. I also found ML hilarious thanks to Zuo Ming's good performance.
3. Dynamics - I enjoyed watching the dynamics between FL and ML. They were in an arranged marriage but ML slowly developed feelings for FL.
4. FL characterisation - She was smart but flawed which is acceptable. Her thoughts and comments were funny.
5. ML characterisation - Earnest himbo. Non-threatening CEO.
6. Final 15 minutes - The best part of the drama was when FL worked with her dad to catch the perpetrator.
7. Styling - Zhao Mu Yan was so adorable in maid uniform. The multiple leggings scene was hilarious.
8. Duration - I also liked that this drama is only 90 minutes long.

What I disliked:
1. Romance - There wasn't romance but there was a hint in the final 2 minutes. It is a shame because Zhao Mu Yan & Zuo Ming looked good together.

Still delightful drama despite dragged on the middle

This is Wang Haozhen- Lu Lulu second collaboration and i quite enjoy it. The Chemistry is the best one for both of actor.

The Plot is basically about FL aka Luo Jia who getting cheated by his ex aka Gu Boning with green tea. His ex being terrorized by green tea about who was FL and he said she just once time fuck buddy. Being heartbroken, She called his ex and make voice not to ask for break up and met ML aka Cheng Jin. Because of self desire, FL asks ML to become her ONS. When they have done doing sex activity, ML asks her to bathe together and FL just run away. Tomorrow, FL works as nurse met new boss which happened to be ML.

I love Wang Haozhen characterization of Cheng Jin-being cunningly calculative but if he is appear on real life it would be completely stalker behaviour. I don't understand why people hate FL for not accepting ML apology easily. I understand her being deceived twice on row by men and want to have normal relationship since she is in the age of marriage. Cheng Jin is someone who cannot accept when someone saying no to him. He tried to shoo FL pursuer by asking their main priority. In the end, FL tried to rekindled their relationship even she wanst sure about the future and i dont feel angry about that and Cheng Jin action is justified in the end because it was happened in real life too.

This is 3 of Wang Haozhen drama that i repeat beside Han Yutong one. Recommend if you like modern drama with common break-up problem.

Definitely Keeps You Hooked BUT With Unnecessary Plot

STRONG START , AMAZING CHEMISTRY, GREAT ACTING WHICH LACKS A BACKSTORY!!!
Overall notable mentions to Yoon Jisung's {Lee Il-jo} acting and Jeong Ri U's acting improvement. Never knew jisung could act this well!!

Coming to story,this definitely had the Potential To Be One Of The Best KBL BUT missed out on it only because of Useless Plot Changes and Timeless Character Development.

• Would The Story Be Same If Il-jo hadn't potrayed himself that weak to Jeong-han??
• Was jeonghan always that kind to all his cousins with his toxic behaviour in first few eps??
• Also about jeong-in's arrest , why did jeonghan did not do that beforehand as we all could estimate that jeongin would definitely hurt Iljo again??

There were a lot of plot holes which def did not add up together to make a great BL. If only they could present this whole thing well with even better editing!!!!!

Had to add that jeongin aka Lee Dong Joo potrayed the emotions really well.....well enough for me to get mad on him through the screen. Want to see more of CAFE MANAGER.....he lowkey was the show stealer.

Lengthy but quite entertaining overall

Even if not produced by the same company, this survival show is clearly inspired by the various "Produce" show. There are a couple of twists but overall it is pretty similar in the way it dedicates a solid chunk of time on the participants and the relationships with each other around practices and challenges, as well as during the elimination announcements with extra "filler" content showing the guys playing games and interacting.

The show started with a whooping amount of participants : 200 guys with a vast difference in terms of skills and training. The audition part was really fun and served to skim off half of the number, allowing the viewer to focus on a more manageable size of candidates. I really enjoyed the cas t : some participants were known to me from other survival show but I appreciated to see them under a new light, while some were totally fresh faces. I also liked a lot the coaches (again some I liked already from other shows), they felt all invested and committed to the program and providing advice to the participants without artificial meanness to foster drama. Lee Soo Hyuk, acting as the MC of the show, did also a solid job with his soulful voice and gravita while seeming genuinely interested in the young talents and creating a nice soothing atmosphere for the cast.

Despite all of those positives, pacing and episodes length could definitely be improved. The survival announcement episodes as well as the final arc leading to the finale, the finale in itself were ultra long ! Do we really needed a +4 hours finale ? I don't think so. Other than that, the first half of the survival was the best part with all of the teams "arrangements" formed for each missions but it could have been more innovative in the concept itself and the last part definitely copy-pasted the "Produce" way of doing it, letting the concept of "assembly" feel more like a gimmick than something truly influential. Contrary to some survival shows, the performances were good but not that memorable to me, with very few I would rewatch even if I did enjoy the overall show and the outcome of it.

I would recommend this to people that like survival shows. The participants are really likeable and the storytelling is good without too much artificial drama nor evil edit. It is a pretty lengthy show that require quite a bit of time commitment because of the duration of the episodes and just the sheer amount of candidates. If you are nostalgic of the "old school" Produce shows, you might definitely want to check it out.

Duration is too long and it become snoozefest.

I want to watch Zhao Xixi drama and this is not really my liking not because the actor (all of the actor are doing great even the supporting casts) but the plot is slow paced and boring. Wang Changpeng is great portraying indifference ML.
The only thing that i like FL interaction with FL doctor friends which is less than 13 minutes.

The plot is about FL and ML are dating in secret for 2 years. ML always has cold behaviour to FL and FL didnt complain even she is unhappy. FL wants to break up and ML agree. ML ex comeback, FL was going back to ML again and found out she is pregnant. They got married for the baby sake. And their cold treatment is start again to create great misunderstanding.

When I watch this, it make me frustrated about how both of them lack communicaton and perfect combo for red flag couple. ML is emotional manipulator while FL is having victim mentality. The kiss between the couple looks so fake and not too bold.

Wont recommend this snoozefest, unless you want to sleep.

Why Does this Exist?

I'm sure I'm not the only one questioning the existence of this. Even more so, I'd go as far as to say that the conclusion of the second season was so spot on, it was masterful, even the last Joker card shot had an eerie but on theme feel to it, it would have worked better as an open-ended conclusion, but alas, we are here.

The pacing at least was good, it didn't really drag, however, the first two episodes really felt like aggressively pulling you back again into it again, too bad the plot went ways it was never hinted at before, I liked it better when the show felt more like sci-fi than fantasy, if that makes any sense, now it's all over the place.

The conflict felt unnatural, forced to be, just for the Arisu to go on yet another adventure, that's my biggest gripe, the motivation wasn't as strong even though clearly, they have tried hard to justify it.

Didn't stick the landing, but for the first time in history...

The premise was good, the first half of it was super good and promising. Then it took a funky turn the last 3 episodes.

I'm easy though, I forgave everything because for the first time in kdrama history they lifted someones bangs to place a wet towel on someones fevered forehead when they were sick. AND, and, they didn't try and fix his hair after they took it off and his hair was a bit wild. We are living through history y'all. So, while I took points away for the messy ending episodes, I gave a full point for forehead realness 😂. It really made me that happy to see it.

It was messy, it was somehow rushed, it was jumbled the last 3 episodes, and there was way too much back and forth at the end, BUT if you can accept the ride, I'd say it's definitely worth a watch. The fire between them is no joke in the first half. They had some cute moments. I'm a sucker for dominant romances.

Idk, it wasn't horrible. I liked it well enough. We have plently of BLs to see in the future. Not the end of the world. Give it a try, maybe you'll like it, even just a little bit. On to the next BL!!

I miss Sun Yue but he doesn't suit this.

I watch this because i miss Sun Yue. Glad he trying to get new role after his dispute with Xu Yizhen. But unfortunately, he didn't suits this angst drama (I was surprised cause i like Sun Yue act with Zhang Chuxuan when they act on angst drama), i feel he is kind of miscast on this drama. Jia Yixuan acts well on this.

The Plot is basically about reincarnation between tragic FL and ML and their last life are being killed. ML has bad dream about his past lifeand try to do check up and got terminal cancer. ML met FL who didn't remember anything and she has crush on her office partner and try to do voodoo to make office partner fell in love with him and got ML instead.

OK Li Hao as antagonist is quite good compare to his Male lead role. The ending is nice to my liking but its not Sun Yue best drama.

Still watchable for everyone.

Even Zhang Chuxuan not saving in this drama

This is one of Zhang Chuxuan black hole drama for every part of it; The plot; the styling (the ugly makeup is that not ugly and not even trying shows this show has cheap budget).Even her character growth is not that really great despite how calculative the FL strategic

I distracted by Lihao acting as ML in this drama. He is completey jerk in here. There is no character growth on this drama. The supporting cast acting are bad (the FL stepsister, FL dad). Zhang Chuxuan is on verge in this disaster drama. The plot is too much hole that make audience asks what really happened and suddenly they got answer but not solve the mystery. The editor and scriptwriter needs to get into class again.

Not really recommend to watch.

Zhang Chuxuan save this drama from disaster.

I watch this drama last year and rewatch this for few times and still like it even it was not the best drama.

The Plot is about FL want to make register in administration and found out she still married for 6 years while she actually wanted to divorce from her estranged husband 4 years ago. FL ty to meet FL to finalize their divorce while ML saying the divorce is not from her decision. She has been single mother for a son and ML brother to become her godfather. ML found out she has secret child and wants to confort her.

I like the banter between Fang Zheng Nan and Zhang Chuxuan even they didnt have romance vibe but the banter is quite fun especially with ML assistant. The son is acting natural and not being forced. ML brother is just relief beside FL mess life, i love their platonic vibe.

The flaws in this drama is about ML character growth and the green tea, he never feel he is responsible for his doing and just blame FL while he always green tea on priority. The green tea put act as psychopath and i feel annoyed by her presence.

The ending is not of my liking, i prefer FL to end by no one.
