Review for The Loyal Pin ?✨

Dear Reader
I found The Loyal Pin absolutely heartwarming and beautifully acted — it truly touched my heart in a way very few series ever do. From the very first episode, I was completely drawn in by the sincerity and emotion that flowed through every scene.
Princess Anin’s character was portrayed with such grace, depth, and purity. She radiates a magical soul — something rare in this day and age. Watching her journey unfold was like being wrapped in a warm, emotional embrace. The era it was set in added such a beautiful, timeless atmosphere, and the thoughtful script, stunning cinematography, and delicate pacing all made it feel so genuine.
I didn’t find the story slow at all — in fact, there were so many moments that made my heart ache in the best way, because the emotions rang so true and close to home. This series captured love in its rawest, most selfless form. The romance between the leads was portrayed with such tenderness, respect, and unwavering support — it’s everything I love seeing in a GL series.
The supporting cast deserves a huge mention too. Every character felt meaningful, each adding emotional weight and richness to the story. The friendships, family bonds, and quiet moments between characters were just as powerful as the big romantic scenes.
The pain they were willing to endure for one another was heartbreakingly beautiful. Their love wasn’t just sweet — it was strong, resilient, and real. I could watch this over and over again and never get tired of it.
I absolutely adored this series and everyone involved in bringing it to life. And above all, a special shoutout to Rebecca Patricia Armstrong, who played Princess Anin so brilliantly. She brought this character to life with such authenticity and emotional power — I was completely captivated.
The Loyal Pin is, without a doubt, my favourite GL series to date. ❤️🌿

Jisoo’s way of acting needs to change!!

I love Jisoo I really do but she cannot act. Yes she can act herself but not the character and thats just sad. The whole time I was watching this I just felt like Jisoo was acting herself and not the character at all. I hope Jisoo can learn how to get into a character because she really has alot of potential of becoming a good actress!!
I know that Jisoo has just started acting so she obiviously cannot be the best yet but in my opinion she should had been casted as a siderole or as a sideguest and not the main actress but thats just my opinion!

Just like season 1

There is not much different compared to season 1. The comedy is not my cup of tea. I must say, this season anoyed me less than season 1. I don't know why, but the characters were a bit more likable.

Visuals and music were ok.
Acting was ok, not great, but not bad either.

One time watching was enough for me.

The Korean Pride and Prejudice

I’ve recently discovered this amazing drama on Netflix in Australia and I was totally hooked. I’ve watched it back to back twice and again twice back to back. The music and OSTs are so amazing, the scenery around the male lead actor’s is breathtaking. The cast is superb, both male and female leads have played their roles to perfection, although I give Hyundai Bin extra points especially for his performance when they had switched bodies. Also the of him in the elevator was so realistic (I’m claustrophobic too). The other scene with the elevator during the fires with her firefighter father is heartbreaking.
This drama has so many punch lines, love her calling him Mr Sparkles and the “one little two little three little Indians” is so funny and the “the chestnut was me but the cheesecake was some other bitch”. The scene at the action school with the sits ups is one I will never forget. I loved watching them walking side by side, first in his mind and then for real. I have laughed a lot but also cried a lot too. I know hate is such a strong word but I do hate his mother. I don’t call that real love, even after finding out that the girl’s father had sacrificed his life to save her son and later when her son had almost died she still remained nasty and twisted. Even after they had three children she was still the same, would her grandkids love her when they grow up and find out how badly she has treated their mother and father? I would not, I simply cannot justify her actions and I feel sorry for people who put their status and worry about the rest of the world’s opinion instead of focusing on their children’s happiness. Now I’m about to disappear like foam and watch it again as sadly it’s leaving Netflix tomorrow. It is by far my favourite Korean drama.

When Love and Lies Collide

Punks Triangle is such a fitting title. Chiaki is head over heels for his idol AE, little does he know that his clumsy classmate Enaga is actually AE in disguise. What an interesting and refreshing plot. A love triangle where two of the people are the same person is such a clever and creative twist.

Also, did I just watch AE use his two fingers to put them in Chiaki’s mouth in the bathroom, and Chiaki said, “Your fingers are so warm,” while literally sucking on them? Then AE replied, “Your mouth is so hot”? I feel like I just watched something illegal 😂 Japanese BLs really hit differently, and honestly, I’m all in for it!

I liked this series more than I expected; the story feels unique, bold, and emotionally engaging. Imagine falling in love with someone in real life and finding out that person is actually your crush and your idol, it’s like a dream turning into reality. But when Chiaki discovers the truth that AE and Enaga are the same person, how will he react? Their relationship began with a lie, and the question of trust lingers beautifully in the air.

Overall, I’m really enjoying this series. It’s fun, intriguing, and very Japanese BL in the best way, subtle, emotional, and a little mysterious.

A tale of a love that lasted a 1000 years!

I rarely write reviews but I do feel this drama deserves better reviews.

I absolutely loved this show, especially the pairing of Kim woo bin and suzy. There is something so natural about them. Might be because they are good friends i real life and respect each other.

The story : There is comedy, romance, drama, action, fantasy, great cinematography, well written characters, good veteran actors. All well written with no filler or boring episodes. This show makes you feel good. There are moments I cried but it was worth it.

SUZY / Ki Ka Young : A special shout out to this amazing girl because if you have known her when she started her career as an actress, you'll know how much she has grown.
Her character is well written. The character was portrayed to be an emotionless person who doesn't understand love, fear, etc but she goes by the rules her grandma has taught her. Her character didn't flip mid way in the show unlike a lot of other dramas I have seen. It stayed consistent till the end which is realistic because people don't change in a short span of time.

Kim Woo Bin / Genie : I can't imagine anyone else playing this role. He is such a fantastic actor.

SPOILER : My favorite scene might be the one where Genie is crying tears of blood when Ka hound dies. There is something about a man crying like he's about to die because he lost the love of his life.
Another one would be the last episode where Ka young finally gets to feel emotions she never felt in her life. The entire scene from the time Genie reluctantly appears before her till the end where she d**s.

If you are looking for good romance with greattttt kisses that will give you butterflies, a heart warming love story, good side characters, beautiful cinematography - this one's for you!!!

Revenge served with confidence

It starts off with a bang and you would expect things would slow down or it would fall short after such an amazing in your face pilot episode but no damn it kept on increasing the “confidence” with each and every episode. Amazing cast and series. Very good acting and chemistry. God this is park min young’s best show in my opinion she is just shining. At first i was thinking why did they cast her there are so many actresses why her but now i know why her only she could deliver such performance to be honest. It’s a perfect mix of comedy, slyness, quirkiness, action/revenge her eyes and her body language did change with emotion she had to portray. Stunning ! is the only way i can describe this series.

A short but heavily packed series

went into this without any prior knowledge on what the show would be about, all i knew was that there'd be a cheating husband with a wife who would seek revenge as that was what was written as the title for it on youtube. but, the series had so much more to offer than that. despite having a basic plot it also included many different twists which left me genuinely shocked, because at some point i would believe that i figured everything out, but the next minute or so would prove me wrong. i also like that throughout the series i would constantly be on edge, worried about her husband (underserving of that title) or her husbands mistress finding out about her plans. not many series have managed to keep me on edge like this which is why i gave this series a higher rating. i also appreciate the casting which doesn't just consists of a-list actors/actresses or people with pretty faces, but rather individuals who, i personally, have not seen before and also manage to bring out their characters well. the pacing is just right and i also like how yu ning is written here. she doesn't just let her husband get away with what he did and she also stands up for herself, which is of course the bare minimum but in cdramas fl's tend to let themselves be treated like doormats, so seeing her stand up against her mother in law made me feel proud.

(spoiler ahead!!)
my only issue with this series is the ending, it wasn't too rushed but i feel like it could've been a bit better. i'm glad we got to the yu ning and her daughter living well, as well as li mo getting proposed to by zhu kai but i wish we could've seen what happened with mi ja, because she is the most crucial person not just towards the end, but throughout the entire series, we just don't know it. she's the one who help yu ning out yet we don't see her ending. i also don't like her reasoning behind why she followed chen cheng around after breaking up, maybe it's because we only saw their relationship briefly without any proper timeline with dates but how long did they date for? and was it long enough to warrant her following chen cheng around? it all just seems kind of forced, but her character could have been better if they just made the last episode longer, or at least dragged things out a bit better. overall, this is a great watch if you enjoy compelling twists with a plot against a cheating husband.

Please note that some elements in this show are generated using AI!!

Since this show literally has no views, I watched it because of Lee Soomin bc I loved her so much in Heo's Diner and I liked the prompt of this show. The plot is quite cliche but so so cute to the point I enjoyed it so much. I did realize at first that they kinda use AI generated stuff for thumbnails and other graphics, but after watching the behind-the-scene turned out a lot more than that, even including the soundtrack was generated using AI. To be fair, they said even the AI quality wasn't great most of the time, so it still needed human editing. But since I am not very fond of anything that includes the use of AI I was honestly a little disappointed... Other than that, the show was still so fun

DEVOTED OBSESSED HERO WITH SOME ISSUES

Watched this from a vertical drama platform. I've rated this a bit higher 'cause I'm a sucker for heroes like this one. I so love the male lead here. Shen Hao Nan. First time to see him in these vertically filmed dramas. He was good in portraying his role in a subtle way. He acted it well. I wish to see more of him in Chinese vertical dramas.

Plotline a bit deeper. It not only delved into the romance part but with some mental health issues as well. It dragged a bit with repetitive scenes, but engaging for me nonetheless because of how devoted this male lead to his woman. Hard to get and push/pull antics of heroine so annoying. Most of the time she was just a living doll to me.

Some scenes were a bit ridiculous as expected from vertical dramas. That jump off a building scene mid way, with a suicidal villainous extra character was unbelievable and unexplained at best.

Nevertheless this was still quite entertaining for me since like I said, I so love male leads who are so into and devoted to their women.

Every Single Human Has Their Own Spark

Continuing Kounodori sensei's life as an Obgyn doctor. This moment, they're opening the sequence by Kounodori in a small town hospital, in the Japan's countryside. And the story goes long with much similar like the previous season.

Take a note, if the first season was focusing more on Dr. Kounodori's personality and life. In this season, they're more focusing on other side characters. The deeper characteristic and back story of Shinomiya, Shimoya, Komatsu, Imahashi, Shirakawa, and many more.

They're wrote every character more deeper. They have their own spotlight in here. I love it so much. This series just proving that a hospital couldn't run by only a man, but many people get through behind. I could easily loving every character because of this season.

Not only make me respect for the side characters. Also, they're success to build up the chemistry so well. How the chemistry become deeper as far as the show's run. How they're slowly become a real family instead.

This season their showing us about their own future plan. Despite being a doctor, they're still a human which have a dream. How they slowly separate from each other to chasing their own dream. Oh, I'm sobbing while watching.

So beautifully story. I couldn't forget the last sequence which have children's voices as a backsong. Ah, that's pretty tearjerker. If I say, flawless ending was exist, then I meant it.

A stunning romance draped in armor — but the “legend” never truly rises.

As someone who adored the original novel, the announcement of The Legend of the Female General adaptation brought me mixed emotions. On one hand, I was thrilled to finally see my favorite story brought to life. But on the other, I was afraid it wouldn’t stay true to the book — and sadly, my fears came true.

He Yan has always been one of my favorite heroines — strong, intelligent, calm, and capable. She’s the kind of woman who inspires you with her leadership and heart. But the drama version didn’t quite capture that essence. Maybe my expectations were too high, but this He Yan felt softer, less commanding than the one in my imagination.

However, Zhou Ye was still a great casting choice — she suits He Yan so well, both in grace and presence. And Cheng Lei as Xiao Jue? Absolutely perfect! He’s exactly how I imagined Xiao Jue would be — proud, sharp, and quietly affectionate. His portrayal truly lived up to my vision of the character. It’s just a pity that, because of production troubles, we didn’t get to see more of the grand war scenes they filmed.

The chemistry between Zhou Ye and Cheng Lei carried the drama beautifully, but the writing leaned too heavily into romance, losing much of the "legendary" tone the title promised. The focus on love over leadership made it feel less like a tale of a general’s rise and more like a romantic historical drama.

Chu Zhao’s storyline also went off track. His obsessive love, while intense, became almost illogical by the end — a big deviation from the novel’s version. Still, I loved Song Tao Tao and Cheng Lisu’s subplot; even though it differed a lot from the book, their chemistry was heartwarming and naturally portrayed.

It was also disappointing how He Yan’s comrade’s death was handled. She grieved, but the emotional weight and strong bond they shared in the novel weren’t fully conveyed on screen. The Academy arc too could’ve been executed more smoothly — it had great potential but felt rushed.

Special shoutout to Li Qing as Cheng Lisu — he did a wonderful job, especially knowing he had to re-record and reshoot parts without the original set. Even though the AI face replacement felt awkward at times, his performance stayed solid and genuine.

Despite its flaws, The Legend of the Female General is still visually stunning — from the costumes to the cinematography and soundtrack. It’s a feast for the eyes and a soft romance for the heart. But as a book fan, I can’t help but feel it lost the soul and grandeur that made the original story legendary.

Overall: A beautifully made drama with strong performances and breathtaking visuals — but stripped of the fire, depth, and spirit that once made He Yan’s story unforgettable.

The Tale Of Human-Birth

A medical drama which pointing out about obstetric, gynecology, and neonatology. All about pregnancy also the meaning of human's being. This drama has difference case of each episode. And I could guarantee, you might be cry at least once while watching it.

This season was focusing more on the protagonist, Dr. Kounodori. The genious doctor which also a mysterious pianist. He's often delivering his emotion through playing piano. He lefting down his doctor title while playing piano. Although, he's so passionate with his work life.

Just like typically medical drama, where they have difference either case or patient. How the doctors live, also how they handle their patient well-enough. Of course with some surgeon scene just like any other medical drama.

What I love the most from this series is, they have profound script, with deep meaning dialogues. It's like a tale of birth, a tale of human being, a tale of family. They're just well-written. And Go Ayano was perfectly delivered the emotion, so well. He's just basicly Kounodori sensei, without overdramatic facial expression.

The dynamic chemistry between every characters were so great, i could enjoying it easily. Lovely character, seems realistic set, also the cases were very exciting.

Might Be Opening a New Page Journey

A sequel of Alice in Borderland. Following Usagi that came back to Borderland for the sake of missing his father and getting to know is he really on there? So she start to get back on playing games, with the man who named Ryuji. Sadly, Usagi didn't told her husband, Arisu that she got back to Borderland. Arisu knows it and start following her to Borderland, and looking for her.

It's mad right? Honestly, for me, the open ending of season 2 was the best as the very ending. But they just serving this for what. I don't even know the existance of this season if they're not making it good enough like the two previous seasons.

I love the performance of Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya, their acting in here were top tier. Especially, Tao, her anger, sorrow, depressed were well-portrayed. She could manage her subtle act, and her overact with precisely fit every scene. Love her performance in here. Go grab that Emmy, gurl!

Also, the third wheel topic that ridiculous. What do you mean by Ryuji's character development, bruh. In a whole season just being a dumb and wife snatcher. Biggest redflag ever. Also his fetish with Baka's world was insane. Be real, please.

The first season that perfectly showing about technically 'Borderland', second season that dept development of character and human theme, but the third season was lack of everything, the screenplay which is weak, also the character development was meh.

Eventho the screenplay was weakest, compare to the previous seasons. But, I'm not gonna lie, I still enjoying this season more enough. The games that keep exciting and thrilling. I love every single game in here. With their talkative dialogue and manipulative skills. Every game was indeed a cliff-hanger. Just best of the best game ever. Also the survival that fit perfectly as the main theme.

The world building that still masterpiece. Totalistic and detail. I love the dystopian set and every single spot of the set. Natural and eye-pleasing. The cinematography at its finest. So pretty and aesthetic. The camera work that still insane move. The precise angle that makes it more beauty.

Not only the visual design, the sound design keep bops. I love whenever they serving good scoring. Those scoring were success of enhancing the story. Especially the dramatic scoring of the first game, the game in the temple one.

Overall, this series is a decent one compare to the previous season, the two previous season still set the bar really high. But for me, this season wasn't a bad. Yes, the screenplay ain't solid and heavy enough, but at least, the games still entertaining. I love this one too.

Misleading and a letdown

I was super excited to start this drama as it has a great cast but was so very disappointed. Title is very misleading, it doesnt center around twelve zodiac angels. The main villain really isnt a villain which is obvious from beginning to end contrary to what previews push. It really could have been summed up into a 90 minute movie to eliminate most of the filler. It did not allow the cast to showcase their full potential. The action scenes with Seo In-Guk were probably the best parts of this drama. Park Hyung Sik really didnt get a chance to shine as the villain. So much pain fwlt by the rest of the angels for the lead zodiac, Tiger, to have a storyline. This could have been written better, there is so much potential but its just...lost.
