kdrama all star

Insane Person Vs Crazy Person
Watch this drama because the theme is rarely explored in short drama. This giving me Stranger from Hell vibe but with Anti-Heroine POV.The Plot is about FL who wants to get psychiatric hospital and getting test psychiatrist and being assigned as normal person. FL psychiatrist give her dog to calm her mind. She tried to living normal but the her neighbor was bullying her. The Grandma, Husband, Wife who still pregnant and her naughty son make her life harder and it gets her nerve when they attack her dog because it was her last strand of being sane person.
I quite surprised Liu Xiaoxu made appearance as FL psychiatrist. Because this drama solely focused on Female Lead. The duration is not too long to watch so you can watch for less than 1 hour.
The only thing I don't like is Wang Xiaoyi's tone. Personally, she is one actor who better getting her voice dubbed by other person than by herself.
Still recommended to watch.

Promising at first but going nowhere in the end
The plot is Business Proposal lowkey version (I don't really like the original despite Kim Sohyun in that film) quite promising and neat on the first since i really like Zhang Yuntao-Yang Jie CP. The antagonist is not being punished in the end for harming FL is baffled me. It went downhill on the middle when FL wants to break up with ML for unnecessary reason. I like FL interaction with ML grandpa quite interesting. The romance in here is not that kind of highlight despite the drama is romcon series. Was this review helpful to you?
The unbroken bond between mother and child
Korean productions have this quiet strength when it comes to sci-fi and apocalyptic stories: they never forget the people. While many films in the genre get lost in scale, destruction, and technical realism, Koreans guarantee the human factor is front and center. An apocalypse is not just about cities falling apart—it is about humans breaking and adapting. When everything collapses, it is humanity that bears the weight.«The Great Flood» («대홍수») does not miss that point. It leans into the often overlooked human factor, which means it may disappoint anyone expecting a shallow, effects-driven spectacle. But for those familiar with Korean storytelling—and for anyone who value character over chaos—this film delivers. At its core is a deeply human story, a simple yet powerful focus on the bond between a mother and her child.
Kim Da-mi (김다미) was perfect for the role. She has never limited herself into a single type of role, and that range shows here. The experience she has built over time allows her to embody the character fully, moving through fear, resolve, tenderness, and desperation with ease. It is the kind of performance that allows the audience to sit with the character rather than merely watch her.
9 out of 10 stars.

Hypnotic? Psychotic is more like it.
Out of many revenge series I watched in 2025, this one is the better one. It’s a series that delivers on all fronts with a great script, solid character development, and outstanding acting. The script is great, providing viewers with well-developed characters and a storyline that keeps you hooked from start to finish. While some storylines may be a bit predictable, the cat-and-mouse game plot and tension buildup are expertly crafted, making each episode a thrilling watch. Beyond the revenge aspect, this series does not shy away from including important social issues into the plotlines. From mental health issue to school bullying, cyberbullying, abuse of power, bad parenting and sexual assault, the series sheds light on how these issues can impact one's upbringing and overall well-being.
One of the highlights of this series is the exceptional acting by the cast, particularly Nychaa Nuttanicha and Will Wannarot, who truly shine in their respective roles. But hands down to Vill for her portrayal of Kunnaree. She’s just pure psychotic. And the child actors are amazing too. Plus, the chemistry between the actors simply adds depth to the characters, making you either root for them or just hate their guts.
Under the skillful direction of Koo Ekkasit, this series boasts impressive production quality that shines on its own among other revenge dramas. The only downside for me is the lackluster male lead and how every guy in this series seems weak. The male lead is just a passive character. I can't even cheer for him. He's just a nice, pretty-faced guy that might seem like what the FL needs amidst the chaos, but he's pretty useless. Sure, he makes an effort to be helpful towards the end, but it seems too late. Plus, the action and fight scenes could definitely use some work to help heighten the suspense.
I would’ve rated it a 10 if the last two episodes hadn’t felt so rushed and if the ending had been more satisfying. Overall, Hypnotic is a well-made and well-acted revenge drama. Whether you're a fan of revenge dramas or simply enjoy a fantastic performance, this series is definitely worth adding to your watchlist.

Strong Start, frustrating finish
I enjoyed most of the show, but the last two to three episodes were disappointing and rushed.I started the series really liking Il-Jo, but in the final episodes his character became increasingly frustrating. Being submissive doesn’t mean letting everyone walk all over you and acting helpless all the time. By the end, it felt like Jeong Han was the only one putting real effort into fixing their relationship.
The drug storyline was another issue: both male leads knew about Jeong In’s drug use, yet the decision to report it to the police only happened ages later, while he could have done that 2 episodes ago... the main target was IIJo but of course he wasn't the one who reported him nor thought of reporting him for the drugs and the assault.
Overall, it felt like many things could have been handled better in those last 3 eps. That said, the chemistry between the male leads was strong, and the earlier episodes were much better written and more engaging. Despite its flaws, I’d still recommend giving it a watch

Late blooming flowers
So I finally watched this year's inescapable, much raved-about, monster vertical hit Summer Rose. I had heard of it even when I was paying no attention to verticals, back when I was convinced I would never get addicted on those (sigh). I was not very convinced by the synopsis as I don't like stories about a cold marriage slowly turning sweet that much (I need BIG DRAMA, the more angst the better) but I did love the cast, and was curious to see what all the hype was about. Is it worth the fuss ? Yes, Oh My God, yes. I was entranced, didn't see the 3:20 hours go. Guo Yu Xin is her luminous self, the direction is enhancing her lovely, youthful feautures, Liu Xiao Xu (who is still quite young !!) gives off the perfect "uncle" vibes for the role. This is made by Stable production, a very promising studio. They went all-in for this drama : the soundtrack is great (it's not ripping off My Demon or When The Phone Rings for once), there is no stupid, childish sound effects (if you are familiar with verticals you know exactly what I'm talking about), the costumes and sets are horizontal drama level of quality, the camera work, lighting and sound design show some real industry workmanship, it feels like the vertical genre is no longer restrained by its origin as formated soap for a short attention span audience. The writing is impressive, on the surface not much is going on (it's an arranged marriage, they give it a chance, they fall in love fast which freaks her out) but it's all in the rich details, the way they dance around each other, the way he slowly breaks her barriers, the way they both evolve as individuals and as a couple through it all. He's very introverted and believes more in actions than big talk, she's outgoing, and has internalized the sad idea that love is a weakness after what happened to her mother. The drama was very mature about its theme : the heroïne didn't use her mother's tragic fate to go on a vengeful rampage, she was able to forgive her father without forgetting, she just had to understand that she wasn't doomed to repeat her parents' story. Writing wise the only thing that bothered me was that she's supposed to be bipolar : there was no sign of it in the whole drama, she's a bit impulsive and reckless at times and has depressive bouts, that's it (not the first time I've watched a drama dropping names of very serious life-altering medical conditions while writing their characters with very basic neurosis, oh well). For romance enjoyers I'd say it's a mandatory watch, it was incredibly romantic, and gave me vibes of golden era HK romances.
For those interested there is a spin-off promoted during the drama about his little brother and his wife played by He Jian Qi and Wang Ge Ge, I'd like to check it out.

Watch this for the MDL challenge.A short film for the song 'ยังไกล' by BOY PEACEMAKER.
Story about Pete. Pete has been in love with his friend, Hana, for a long time. But Hana doesn’t feel the same way—she’s in a relationship with someone else.
The story begins when Pete and several of his friends go on a trip together. During the trip, Hana is in a bad mood because she’s fighting with her boyfriend.
Pete, unable to stand seeing Hana so downcast, tries his best to cheer her up. As the day goes on, the dynamic between Pete and Hana starts to feel like it’s shifting toward something more.
So the question is—will Pete and Hana finally end up together, or will Hana return to her boyfriend?
This short film beautifully captures the ache of unrequited love. You can truly feel Pete’s pain throughout the story. Copter delivers a stunning performance, and you see every emotion in his eyes, even without many words.
It’s a bit unfortunate that the film has no subtitles. Thankfully, it’s only about 15 minutes long, and the story is easy to understand even without much dialogue.

Wow they're so cute together... wait what was the story about again?
I watched the re-edited version with 6 episodes and this story still did not make any sense at all. The only reason I watched is because of the hot trainer. The drama is very short yet feels slow and was not an enjoyable watch for me. With some editing and better pacing this could easily be an 8/10.Was this review helpful to you?
This is usual men oriented drama.
This is kind popular on my local place and yes this is man oriented vertical drama. The plot is about ML who pretends to be poor and met FL on airplane. FL proposed to ML while ML denied since he has fiancee. FL understand and still ask him to become her staff, he still reject it. ML finally found ML fiancee cheated with other man so he tried to break up and suddenly FL comes and ask to become her husband.
There is too much talking and without any action like usual men oriented drama. Yang Jie suits men oriented drama since the acting is not that important-you need to be pretty and tall. Than most of male lead on men oriented drama is not too handsome since men are their main target.

Mindbending - A Brave New World
I enjoyed The Great Flood very much. The concept is such a bold idea, and although reminiscent of many other stories, translated well with its own spin, advancing the genre. In otherwords, you will have to watch it to find out exactly what I mean. There are many touch points along the way in this movie. They range from the love of single mothers, through to the challenges of being a parent, the exploration of human nature in a crisis and the future of humankind.
The acting is very good. Our super mum is very human, very believable. Her counterpart, at first appears heartless. However, as events unfold, he helps our super mum become more resilient.
I thought the CGI was of a good standard. However, from my experience, some of the flood sequences portrayed were not quite right. However, we know through studies into sea levels, they can rise very quickly, regardless of the cause.
The movie is mind bending because not all is as it seems. The Great Flood sits well within the sci-fi pantheon, proof yet again that the Koreans are evolving science fiction at a good level.

Yang Jie needs to improve her acting
Ok this is another Zhao Zhendong with wheelchair pretends to be disabled plot.Basically the plot is really same and they tried to get this drama into comedy. Yang Jie is super stiff and her chemisty with Li Boyi is non exist. The force comedic feels so stage and fake. I cannot continue to watch this. Dropped.

Empty trainwreck
Nothing worked with this.Budget? What budget ?
Dialog? Cringe at best.
Editing? Atrocious.
Story? What story ?
OST? Painful.
Cast? Mmmmm...at least they somewhat committed (even if poorly) ?
I have no idea on why I completed this series given how bad it was...I did not even have the slightest hope that it would get better...And it certainly did not. Not going to lie, it was somewhat entertaining to witness how bad a drama can be and on so many levels.
I would not recommend this to people. It is a trashy show which consists in 10 minutes episodes loosely bound together by an almost completely nonexistent "plot" (if you can even call it that).

The Great Flood: An Average Sci-Fi Wrapped in a Disaster Movie Title
I really thought it would be a full-on disaster thriller like Flu, Tidal Wave, or The Tower—raw panic, survival instincts, and humans fighting nature at its worst.
Instead, the movie slowly drifts away from the idea of a flood disaster and dives into AI, modern science, world destruction, and a futuristic concept of human evolution.
The title promises one thing, but the story delivers something completely different. The “flood” feels more like a background excuse than the core of the narrative. The sudden shift toward sci-fi philosophy and AI with an emotional engine feels forced and confusing rather than thrilling.
I wouldn’t say the movie is bad, but it definitely fails to meet expectations set by its title and promotion. The pacing is uneven, the emotional connect is weak, and the sci-fi ideas are not explored deeply enough to feel impactful.
For me, it’s a one-time watch—an average sci-fi film with nothing truly memorable.
I went in excited, expecting edge-of-the-seat survival drama, but walked out feeling slightly fooled by the title 😂.
