Liked them a bit more.

This special episode is all about communication and how important it is in a relationship to just simply talk to each other.
I didn't have much connection with Tsuge and Minato in the series, but this special made me like them more.
I had a lot more connection with these characters in the Thai version.

Ik was well done, great visuals, the music was good and the acting spot on!

Definatly one to watch if you watched the series.

Slice of life, heartwarming drama

This queer drama is so sweet and heartwarming, i enjoyed it more than i thought, for some ot might be boring bcz its not typical love stories or series, but i found it very lovely, all characters are weird in a way, flawed but i ended up having empathy anf understanding each one of them, even if i dont agree with some of their action.
The drama talked about serious topics like
patriarchy in work places, the pressure from society expectations, irresponsibility of parents, parents lost dream and prejudges against gay people in japen.
Genichi, saku , hotaru, landord lady are my favorite, ill miss them

Not for Everyone’ Is Not an Argument

When a movie defends itself with “it’s not for everyone,” it’s already in trouble.

The issue here is not ambition or complexity, but a broken narrative contract. The film promises a visceral survival experience and then abandons it midway for a conceptual twist that rewrites the rules instead of deepening them.

Confusing abstraction with depth doesn’t make a story intelligent. True depth comes from consequences, not from invalidating what the audience has already lived through.

Understanding a movie does not obligate you to praise it. And in this case, understanding the twist doesn’t improve the experience—it weakens it.

Such a cute drama with superb acting

I have just finished and I would definitely recommend this drama. Its a cute watch, I loved both couples, no real unnecessary complications, everything happens for a reason. Writing, acting, directing, chemistry between leads are all very good.
For those who dont dare to watch because of the age gap - it really isn't a bother, .Michelle Chen with her petite figure and cute face can easily spread off a decade and Zhou Ke Yu pulls off both the orphaned teen and the adult man very well. He has such subtle way of expressing himself, which makes him really a great choice for this ML role despite his young age. Very hard to believe, he's only 23 when he is domineering their current time line relationship.
Really a gem, for those who appreciate a calmly flowing slice of life drama.

Very nice!

This was a great drama, i watched it in one sitting. I really enjoyed it a lot!
A lot of people can relate to this story, the insecurity, the longing at a distance, it was al so well shown in this drama.
I wasn't fond of the intro song, but the rest of the music was good, so were the visuals.

Both actors are very likable and did an amazing job portraying their characters. The dynamics between them were also great.

A real must watch and i wil be watching this again in the future.

Worthy of Returns

I have returned to this version several times and have never been let down. Although the version I watch is from DailyMotion, and therefore lacking original music, I believe, the quality is still high and the strength of the story, acting and editing still guide you along mostly effortless (a couple of out sequence moments are annoying but inherently common in vertical dramas).

The two leads mesh well, letting the subtlety of their growing attachment and humbling affection lead you along gently. The 2FL is well portrayed in that you believe that she believes she is always right and isn't as one-dimensional as many other female foes. You still love to dislike her, though. The mothers in this adaptation, though rarely on-screen, are delightful and add a warmth to the relationship. The setting and the production don't distract from the story and are organized well.

(DailyMotion): There are a couple of mistakes or tangles in the translation but as long as you ignore them, the subtitles are clear and mostly on point (timing and meaning). I dislike the way that they have flipped the names (Name Surname) for western audiences, though I understand it, as it is rather jarring when you are listening and recognize the names (Surname Names) and then see them in the text. It is a minor annoyance that can be overlooked.

Fate or Free Will : A Well Orchestered Game of Chess

(I dont rate a drama till I have completed it. Vendetta of An is an exception for it being so Excellent. after watching Kill My Sins earlier this year I didn't expect an intellectual plot for a long time, but VOA surpassed all expectations.

Is it Choice/FreeWill or Destiny/Fate?
VOA is story of HXA out for revenge against YFS who annhilated his family. Both having loyal aides and spies on their side and thus begins their game of chess with different characters as pawns playing their roles to the best and leaving the board either sacrified or martyred for their belief of what is right.
Every death on the righteous side, like HXA burying and burning the huben army person, is answered equally by the villain side , like WP killing the soldier in same way..there are many such parallels throughout..as if Fate is keeping scores..yet all characters be it YZL, Aunt Xin and her son, WP, BW all seem to also be choosing to work for HXA or YFS..and all their choices directly or indirectly aiding/thwarting the whole "game"...
so how much is fate? how much is Free will?
And once HXA "kills" YFS and it looks like the game is done and board can be cleared, it is revelaed that the feud between XHA's family and YFS was actually part of broader plot by Teimo king to annex Chang'an without as less fight as possible.
now starts an even deeper game where past allies are revelaed as foes and one hero after another falls.
How XHA turns the tide in Chang'an's favour is another added intelligent treat for the viewers.

one of the c-dramas where death of character has been dealt with the right human emotions, both the killer is conflicted for taking lives and the dead person be it good/villian side is mourned as they had a space in someone life.

I know this is work of fiction but the scriptwriter has done a great job of making it as realistic to real life as possible with the synchroniciies, premonitions, defeats, betrayal, loyalty, wins, escapes, deaths..there is no right/wrong as of now..everyone doing what they think is right or supporting someone because of their life circumstances

all actors have played their role remarkably. Cheng Yi as always slays this role. his subtle microexpressions, minor change in posture from happiness around his people, to chill calm while killing to deranged when threatening his enemies..all done brilliantly without raising his voice or overacting and adding depth to his character. and every character small or big (as per screen time) give their best and leave a lasting imapct.

What ultimately left the deepest impression on me was realizing the work of shadow guards...here, XHA’s father’s work continued to protect XHA and Chang’an’s common people long after his death. The sacrifices of the shadow guards—and of the families they leave behind—are never written into history, celebrated, or even acknowledged, yet they form the invisible foundation on which the common people of Chang’an (or any country) stands. Generations live and die in silence so that peace can appear effortless to those who benefit from it.
This drama became a Story of unsung heroes who protect our nations from forces within and utside working to destabilize peace and harmony.

BE IT FATE or FREE WILL - both come at a COST, so immense that it is unfathomable for the common man.

This was such a masterpiece

See You in My 19th Life is one of those dramas that feels soft, emotional, and healing, but at the same time quietly painful. What makes it special is its unique concept of reincarnation—Ban Ji-eum remembers all her past lives, and in her 19th life, she chooses to find the boy she loved in her 18th. From the start, the story already feels heavy because it deals with love that goes beyond one lifetime.
The romance between Ji-eum and Seo-ha is slow but meaningful. It’s not loud or overly dramatic, but you can really feel the depth of their emotions, especially because Ji-eum carries memories and regrets from her past life. Seo-ha’s trauma and emotional walls made their relationship even more realistic. Watching them heal each other little by little was one of the most touching parts of the drama.
What I also loved is how the drama explores themes of loss, grief, and moving on. It makes you think about how memories—both happy and painful—shape who we are. The side characters and subplots added more emotion, especially when it came to family and unresolved pain from the past.
Overall, See You in My 19th Life is a beautiful and emotional drama that makes you reflect on love, fate, and second chances. It’s not just a romance—it’s a story about healing, letting go, and choosing to live fully in the present, even when the past still hurts.

Cruelty Framed as Courage

The director needs to seriously rethink the moral framework of this story. Taking a baby from its mother is not a heroic act—it is cruelty. Killing a mother who is desperately risking her life to save her child is not heroic; it is demonic. And killing someone who is being exploited as a tool by evil humans is, again, not heroism but evil itself.

A Soft Zombie Thriller with Emotions

My Daughter Is a Zombie is a light thriller mixed with comedy, but what truly stands out is the beautiful father–daughter relationship at its core. Beyond the zombies and chaos, the film focuses more on family emotions, making it surprisingly touching.
The movie has emotional moments that work well without becoming overly dramatic. While it doesn’t reach the intensity or scale of classics like Train to Busan or All of Us Are Dead, it doesn’t try to compete with them either.
Instead, it offers a softer take on the zombie genre—blending thriller elements, humor, and heartfelt emotions. Because of this balance, the film feels more personal and family-oriented rather than purely horror-driven.
Overall, it’s an enjoyable watch—especially if you like zombie stories with emotional depth and light comedy. I genuinely enjoyed it.
⭐ Verdict: Not a genre-defining zombie film, but a warm and entertaining one.

This Isn't The New Parasite

I’ve watched almost all films by Park Chan-wook—Thirsty, Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and more. Compared to those, No Other Choice turned out to be a poor choice for me personally.
Many people are comparing this movie with the Oscar-winning Parasite, but honestly, I don’t understand why. The themes, impact, and emotional grip feel very different.
I was genuinely excited because of the stellar cast—Lee Byung-hun, Cha Seung-won, Park Hee-soon, and Son Ye-jin. With such powerful actors, my expectations were naturally high.
That said, I wouldn’t say the movie is bad. It just wasn’t my type of genre. The storytelling and tone didn’t connect with me the way Park Chan-wook’s darker, more intense films usually do.
In short, No Other Choice might work for some viewers, but for someone who loves Park Chan-wook’s earlier, more disturbing and emotionally charged cinema, this one felt underwhelming.
⭐ Personal verdict: Not bad, just not for me.

Raising a child gives the whole village a headache

"เลี้ยงเด็กหนึ่งคน ปวดหวัทั้งหมู่บ้าน" -- "Raising a child gives the whole village a headache" ... and raising an adult even more.

The Thai title "เกิด / แก่ / เจ็บ / โต" is a very good indicator for this series' themes: "เกิด แก่ เจ็บ ตาย" -- "birth, age, sickness, death" is the fundamental aspect of life in Buddhism. Everybody will experience these four things in life. So, when the Thai title says "birth, age, sickness, growing up" instead, the "death" part and the relation to Buddhist teachings is already implied. The producer tells us: This is a story about life itself.
However, the title goes a step further and inserts "growing up". Both main characters, the man in his sixties and the 17-year-old girl, have a lot of growing up to do, and the only way of doing this is by listening, understanding, mutual respect, and within a community.

For me, "เกิด / แก่ / เจ็บ / โต" was an interesting watch for the cultural lessons it had. How do Thai people speak about dying and death? What changes bring the modern times to family values and intergenerational relationships in a society that is traditionally very clear about roles of family members?

Its intended main theme, I think, was about broken parent-child-relations, about the value of community and family, whether by blood or by choice, and about the importance of listening with respect, regardless of age. And I think that they did a good job with this overall; except in some parts where it got a bit too preachy for my taste, and some of the ending was too feel-good when one secondary character reformed too fast while another gave forgiveness a bit too easily.
That being said, I had feared that *everything* would be resolved neatly, which was not the case, because this too is life: Not everybody will grow up, not every attempt at reconciliation will work out. I just think that it could have been even more realistic without diminishing the feel-good happy ending for our main cast if it had stayed a bit more open-ended.

The story telling was a bit too slow at times and, together with the heavy-handed message, I never felt the urgent need to watch the next episode immediately.
The screenplay was mostly solidly written -- I love the progression of the two main characters, and also how Nok's backstory was revealed slowly. I would have liked it if the supporting characters had been fleshed out more; Pha was a bit too good and too understanding at times, and the trio of our lovely grannies deserved more than to be the background chorus, too. I think the story would have worked as an ensemble cast, maybe even better than it does now.
It's also maybe of note that the screenplay does the usual Thai way of mixing comedic bits and serious messages, which might take a bit of getting used to. There is just enough romance that I can't put the drama in my "No romance!" list -- but both couples make sense within the narrative and the character progression, so it's all fine.

What made this drama was the general production quality, the setting in a lower class environment and the outstanding abilities of the actors. I loved the interactions between Nok and Jan, of course, but also the actors of supporting characters like Omsin and Jojo were excellent in their roles.

Was it good?
I think it was. The production quality was high, the actors were excellent. The message was delivered a bit too heavy-handed at times, and part of the ending felt slightly undeserved.

Did I like it?
I didn't love it so much that I devoured the drama; but I am glad I watched it.

Who would I recommend it to?
To people who an watch a slow, slice-of-life-adjacent drama. And to those who are interested to understand how Thai people view life and death.

It took my breath away, but...

I gave it a 8.5 because visual and acting are top notch, there were a few scene that made me hold my breath because of the tension between the two main actors and, as more than one has said, I couldn't turn my eyes away from the screen for the whole film. I usually watch asian producions with original audio and subtitles, but I think I will rewatch this dubbed to enjoy even more their gazing eyes and their chemistry.
But...it felt more like a loooong trailer, a lot seems to be missing and a lot still needs to be told.

Perfection exists

Even today, after so many years, I remember My Mister as the most extraordinary work of art humankind has ever created. It's the most beautiful love story ever depicted. It's both a humanist treatise and an essay in moral philosophy. If you haven't seen My Mister yet, you're in luck, because one of the most extraordinary experiences life has to offer awaits you.
