If you need a serotonin boost after a shitty day/week/whatever, this is your show

First and foremost, this is a thai show made by thai people geared towards a thai audience. If you see interfans complaining about it's "cringiness" or their inability to completely get on board or understand certain references, that's why. Now this does not mean you cannot enjoy the show as an interfan, an example being myself.

This show brought me immeasurable joy during the 10 weeks that it aired. The casting was perfect. There are no other actors I could imagine as Thee or Peach or anyone else. Our main couple is almost sickeningly sweet, the progression of their relationship was so beautiful and you could feel their love through the screen, which is everything you'd want in a main couple, so props to Pond and Phuwin for their amazing chemistry and their wonderful acting. You need to turn your brain off and have a little whimsy in your heart to enjoy this show. You can feel the love and effort that went into this project and if you want a serotonin boost after a particularly shitty day, you've found your show.

Now, this show isn't without it’s faults. It suffered during the last two episodes due to the 10 episode cap. A lot of issues could have been expanded on or explained better or written off better if they had more episodes (i found one of the side couples particularly frustrating and pointless but i think it also was a result of the strict cp system) . Due to this the final two episodes felt quite rushed, though I was still happy with our main couple.

All in all, this very quickly became one of my favourite shows gmmtv has ever put out.

For Revenge plot was okay but the romance was too weak.

I watched this drama in last December and the drama was taken down so fast on YT. Glad i have mood to write the review now.

The reborn plot was actually engaging but the romance between Chen Minghao and Lu Lulu is rather sudden and their chemistry are too weak.

After being reborn, FL learns about her destiny and fights against a time-traveling woman (SFL), scumbag ex husband (SML), and concubine (2SFL) to break free from the control of fate. In the end, she helps the ML secure his throne.
First scene focus on domestic intrigue, the middle on court politics, and the later on palace intrigue.

However, the details are not explained very well. In the early domestic intrigue, FL uses many methods, while SFL is like a cockroach, constantly causing trouble to FL.

ML's initial possessiveness after sleeping with the FL is unclear, as he suddenly falls in love without any foreshadowing or backstory everything is just happen suddenly. ML appearance is not too many unlike the antagonists, it feels he is just guest star in this drama.

Still decent to watch if you ignore romance aspect and focused on revenge plot.

needed to narrow the focus

Overall: with a short runtime, they needed to tighten up the plot and focus on the romantic development. I gave this an indie bump. 6 episodes about 8 minutes each. Aired on Fangle Studio https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL43jpYftGbEFcuaz7dCQyQTwIJMji6dFk&si=SGJZf8gBd6DKXoIM and GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/6249/fan-service-2026-e01

Content Warning: past kidnapping/trauma, blood, stalking, harassment, attempted murder

What I Liked
- visuals
- they addressed the downside of fame*

Room For Improvement
- love triangle
- romance seemed to come out of nowhere, needed more build up/chemistry
- odd card thing/voiceover
- hair covered one of the leads' eyes and it was difficult to feel his emotions in several scenes
- *nervous there won't be any consequences (there weren't)
- nonsense in episode 5 (surgery and then sent home a few hours later???!!!!), this plot point was never addressed or resolved
- 5 year time skip in the finale, rushed

mixed feelings

Overall: there was something pretty sinister with the plot. 4 episodes 10 minutes each. Airing on GND Studio YouTube channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-UjFgW8TJEfcBaYLr8jyN_Dn00ScQ6CW&si=GCBj-UKy7QQwzd0w

Content Warning: manhandling, manipulation/intimate partner emotional abuse/grooming, minor/non-minor relationship, teacher/student relationship

What I Liked
- visuals
- tension in the past

Room For Improvement
- the one guy was super manipulative in the past and then in the present as well, and my heart broke for the other guy in episode 4, I don't trust the researcher guy to not be manipulative again

Great balance

Dec 2025
This felt very like the time period it was set in.
Detective series of the 50s had a similar vibe, with characters having the same energy, nuances and a humour that was often tongue-in-cheek. There's a definite hero here.
It was OTT at times, but that oddly fit rather than hindered.
I liked the different stories and the central theme, which was raw and pretty emotional.
One I'll happily watch again.

Amazing chemistry , good dark comedy

First drama I've binge watched fully in about 2 years.
I was pressing play next episode without even thinking .
The premise is interesting , romance with dark comedy . Very hong sisters .
The female lead's story was surprising , specially that there was no hint in the trailer .
The actors , the chemistry , the cinematography , the osts (finally a good ost ensemble in a long time now) are top notch.
The female lead's problem should have been better handled in the later half of the episodes .

Kept me interested.

Nov/Dec 2025
Some very funny moments, in the early episodes especially, but as the story moves on, there are much darker elements.
I found it easy to watch and stick with.
I liked the cast a lot ~ including supporting and didn't feel there were any irritatingly weak or stupid characters ~ though some were very naive.
I didn't like the ending, which felt rushed and, in many ways, quite a big cop-out. What followed a tense and distressing culmination, was a too light and half-hearted finale.
I also thought that the character of said His Majesty, was far from sweet or romantic; yes he changed on falling in love, but he was a maniacal, controlling tyrant before, who had a lot to make up for. That was readily glossed over, which didn't fit a lot of the FL character's principles, I felt.

Entertaining to watch !

This is easily Luo YunXi’s best drama in terms of camera work and cinematography. The visuals have a Netflix-style, Western crime vibe with beautiful framing, color aesthetics, and a strong crime-drama mood.

I enjoyed all six cases, especially the side cases. My favorite is Li Xuting’s Spider Cocoon Murder just like Luo Yunxi said, the moment you suspect someone, they’re already dead 🤣

Let's be real here

I didn’t think I'd be saying this. I really enjoyed it. Pond and Phuwin and by extension Gmmtv had gotten to the stage of monotonous productions. Personally, I believe they're more liked for their real life personas and activities than their actions on screen. They're maturing but was their acting catching up. This is as close as it’s gonna get. The character of Thee fits within Pond's acting range, not perfect, but better. Phuwin felt more connected to Peach and it showed. His kissing style, we will just have to accept.

It was funny. Whitty. A bit contrived but not inundated with convulated moments. A mafia boss falling for a poor photographer through the lens of cinema. They delivered with the timely humor and Thee's unorthodox quirky methods were a treat. Peach's flat logical responses perfectly delivered. Est and William's roles, Mok and Rome, fit interestingly within their story and felt like a compliment. Why did their ending feel like a snippet of their real life interractions? Mok shooting down Rome's reach for a kiss, hmmmm. Fun.

Perth and Santa on the other hand got a raw deal. It's as though they started and forgot about Ran and Tawan, then gave the most assine resolution to a serious relevant topic. Jealous rage masked in the guise of love. The stage was already set from episode one by their interractions so why wait until episode nine to resolve with a sad face, a forgiving heart and an invitation to move in. Santa delivered the emotional and sincere. Ran begging Peach for forgiveness after offering his body to Thee to save Tawan was very expertly done. I will say, Perth can act but it's time he moves away from the angry sullen boyfriend roles and reach for more. Same for JJ.

Like every production it's not without flaws but everything else worked in it's favor. The few seconds after The End tied the series concept together as a production of Peach and Thee's love story. Perfect ending.

Perfect The(e) End!

I began watching PondPhuwin dramas last year, and every time I’ve watched one of their dramas, I ended up in tears. They have insane chemistry. This drama was no different. Pond really pulled off the simp role perfectly. I never thought I’d be writing a review for this, but the last episode was something I wish to never forget.
THE SONG, THE PROPOSAL, THE WEDDING I was screaming through all of it! Marn and Mok being adopted by Kian was such a beautiful addition to the story. Mok being fired by Kian so he could finally live a normal life really brought tears to my eyes. He was my favorite character in this drama. He never abandoned Kian and always supported him no matter what.
I still can’t believe I just watched the last episode. My Saturdays might not be as fun anymore, but I’ll definitely be watching their edits nonstop after this.

To me, it really was the perfect The(e) End!

I kinda wanna watch the zombie movie instead

Most of it has been said in the other upvoted reviews. Started pretty well, then came the split personality plotline (which I get it, kdramas need the drama part). If it ended there, it would've been an "OK" drama, that you can watch if you like the actors or are in between better shows. But then came the last episode, the left turn there is really what annoys me the most. I'm one of those who find that the ending is paramount (quoting someone else). The zombie movie scenes are actually the highlight of the show for me. And Do ra mi ( movie character, not the other personality) is the most interesting character of the show.

The Cost of Being Good

I went into Cashero thinking I was signing up for a quirky superhero comedy.

The premise alone sounded playful: a man whose superpower scales with how much money he has on hand. It felt like one of those clever, high-concept ideas meant to generate laughs and light action. What I absolutely did not expect was to be emotionally dismantled within the first two episodes. Cashero is not interested in spectacle. It’s interested in cost. And once that clicks, every so-called “heroic moment” stops being thrilling and starts hurting in a very specific, adult way.

At the center of the story is Kang Sang-woong, played by Lee Jun-ho, and this might be one of his most quietly devastating roles. Sang-woong is not ambitious, not grand, not chasing greatness. He’s a regular man who did everything right. He saved diligently. He planned a future with his girlfriend. He wanted a home, stability, a small and decent happiness. Then he inherits a power that doesn’t elevate his life but interrupts it. His strength isn’t infinite, rechargeable, or symbolic. Every time he uses it, real money evaporates. Not metaphorical money. Not “energy.” Actual savings. Numbers you can calculate. A bus full of people costs him tens of millions. Saving the woman he loves drains the entire account he’d been building for years. Watching this happen feels less like witnessing heroism and more like watching someone set fire to their future in real time.

What makes this unbearable in the best way is the inner monologue. Kdramas almost never let us live inside a character’s head this explicitly, and Cashero weaponizes that choice. We hear every hesitation, every rationalization, every ugly, honest thought Sang-woong isn’t proud of. When he thinks, “If I had more money, I’d be a good person,” it lands like a punch to the chest because it’s not noble. It’s true. The drama doesn’t romanticize sacrifice; it itemizes it. Sirens don’t signal excitement. They signal loss. Another withdrawal. Another dream delayed or erased.

The generational aspect only deepens the tragedy. This power isn’t a random blessing. It’s inherited, passed down from grandfather to father to son like a debt that can’t be refused. A late revelation reframes Sang-woong’s father entirely. He wasn’t bad with money. He wasn’t irresponsible. In a letter, he admits that every time he tried to give his family more, the universe demanded more from him in return. That line alone encapsulates the soul of this drama. The better you try to live, the higher the bill becomes. Decency is not rewarded; it’s exploited. The power doesn’t punish greed. It punishes hope.

And yet, Sang-woong keeps choosing to act. Not because it’s right in some abstract moral sense, but because walking away would require him to become someone he cannot live with. That’s what makes him a hero. Not the rescues themselves, but the fact that he keeps stepping forward when stepping back would be easier, more logical, and more humane to himself. His heroism is reluctant, finite, and painfully rational, which makes it far more affecting than any cape-and-glory narrative.

A huge emotional anchor in this story is Kim Min-suk, played by Kim Hye-jun, and this was my first time watching her work. I genuinely fell in love with her here. Min-suk could have easily been written as the “worried girlfriend” archetype, but instead she becomes one of the drama’s emotional pillars. She is practical, intelligent, and emotionally generous. As the couple’s literal financial manager, she understands the cost of Sang-woong’s power more clearly than anyone, and yet she never reduces him to a ledger. Watching her grow from supportive girlfriend into wife is quietly heartwarming. She doesn’t just stand beside him; she chooses the life he’s forced into with open eyes. Her love isn’t blind optimism. It’s informed, deliberate commitment, and that makes it feel earned in a way K-drama relationships often struggle to achieve.

The supporting cast adds texture without diluting the core theme, but Cashero never loses sight of what it’s really about: real people, real limits, and sacrifice you can measure. This is a superhero story where the fantasy element only exists to make the reality sharper. When Sang-woong saves people, the triumph is immediately undercut by the aftermath. You don’t cheer. You grieve. And over time, you realize that’s the point. The show wants you to feel uncomfortable about how casually we celebrate self-sacrifice without asking who pays for it.

There is a late-stage narrative choice involving time travel that functions as a deus ex machina, and yes, this is the one place where the drama slightly overreaches. It’s a neat solution, and in another story it might feel cheap. Here, it doesn’t quite dilute the central theme, but you can feel the writer’s hand nudging the scales back toward balance. That said, this is nitpicking more than a true flaw. The emotional groundwork is so strong that the resolution still lands. The story never pretends that heroism becomes free or painless. Even at its most fantastical, the heart of Cashero remains intact.

By the end, what stayed with me wasn’t a single action sequence or dramatic reveal. It was the quiet, devastating idea at the core of the show: he’s out there using his own money to save the world. Not government funding. Not corporate backing. Not divine grace. Just one man, draining his personal future so strangers can keep theirs. That framing turns heroism into something fragile and deeply human, and it lingers long after the credits roll.

On a personal note, this also marked my third Lee Jun-ho drama and my second one back-to-back right after Typhoon Family, and watching him inhabit two deeply human yet fundamentally different characters in such close succession was an absolute treat. Where Typhoon Family asked him to navigate ambition, responsibility, and emotional restraint within a family and corporate framework, Cashero strips him down to something even more vulnerable: a man quietly negotiating with his conscience every time he opens his wallet. There’s no overlap, no comfort zone repetition, just range, control, and an instinctive understanding of ordinary people placed in extraordinary moral pressure. My respect for him as an actor has only deepened, and as of now, his Kdrama satisfaction rate for me remains a clean, undefeated 100%.

Cashero isn’t a power fantasy. It’s a ledger. And Sang-woong is always in the red. Yet somehow, despite everything, he keeps choosing to be good. Not because it’s rewarded, but because it’s who he is. That’s not flashy heroism. That’s the kind that hurts to watch, and the kind that’s hardest to forget.

Very entertaining romance but the story did not translate well

The only reason you should watch, is that the cast and acting is so well done, it's entertaining. Especially the acting of Go Youn-Jung is phenomenal. Hence 10/10 for acting and casting. Music is good but could have been better, so 9/10 for music. The problem is the story, the story is at best average, and feels a bit stretched, so 6/10 for story. As the story itself is not that interesting, I would hardly watch the series again, but it is still entertaining, so again 6/10. Overall 8/10, just because I enjoyed the series, thanks to a great cast and strong acting.
