Fabulous start with a ‘just good’ ending

- This series is divided into two parts that are so different one another. The first one is the longest: the story is almost perfect, really. Nothing to say, it is just perfect. I’ve fallen in love with the peace sensation that infuses, with its lifestyle. Everything is loose how I like it, and the fact that the female lead moved to the island from the city is as amazing as the sea setting. She slowly becomes a better person, surrounded by friends, joy, and understands her genuine feelings for the male lead with bravery and maturity. Doo Shik is a fabulous character, unique I’d say: sincere smile, great personality and special sensitivity. Everything is happiness, the island seems almost like heaven. Additionally, I have to mention the brief lesbo story (I'm so happy lgbtq is included): nothing is accomplished but I find it so loveable. To sum up, this part of the plot is complete, it has everything that is needed. Music as well, it perfectly matches the shining, high-spirited atmosphere. I like two songs in particular from this first section (my romance and romantic sunshine).
- As for the second part, things shifted: the female lead completely changes her behaviour, all we talk about is the male lead’s trauma and everything slowly becomes black, repetitive and depressing. Hye Jin is too much, her maturity is completely gone, her exaggerations clash with the path she followed from the start. Sometimes it feels like she’s back to her previous self, not in a good way. Doo Shik’s past is important, of course, but is too concentrated in this second part of the story so the whole plot seems unbalanced. His trauma absorbs all the light I mentioned before, leaving us with nothing, not even tears. Also, some group scenes felt redundant: after all these episodes, seeing the same people every time may be not as impressive as it was at the beginning, more made-up and less genuine. There are some marvellous moments though: they’re so moving and extremely heartbreaking I cried my eyes out for fifteen minutes straight watching them. Additionally, I have to mention a sad event, something I can’t tell right now, for the spoiler thing. I can only say that it wasn’t necessary. At all. I’m sure you’ll feel it. The music is, again, matched with the atmosphere. Good job.
- The cinematography is as good as always, maybe two or three flaws but nothing more. I particularly appreciate some close-up shots during dramatic or crucial scenes. Again, I love the sea setting and the old fashion and simple lifestyle. Doo Shik’s house is just fabulous: I went crazy seeing all the books and vinyl records he has. Not to mention the clinic in front of the sea (yeah, the sea again).
- The acting is good as well. All I’m thinking about is Doo Shik’s smile and tears as well as anger, this character is so hot and cool his own way, you know. I’m serious. The actor (Kim Seon Ho) is so genuine and real, fantastic. However, everyone did an awesome job. I especially appreciate the grandma’s trio, they are cute and funny. Additionally, I have to mention Jang Yi Jun’s crying in episode fifteen and the ‘baby delivery’ scene some time before. The only negative thing I can think about is the female lead: for me, it was more the character than the actress (as I said before), but some scenes felt unnatural. Also, I’d appreciate at least one intimate scene between the main couple: they are adult, we’re not in high school. Again, it felt not real. I doubt I’ll watch the whole series again, maybe just a few scenes. But I definitely recommend it. If you haven’t watch it, please go do it now.

Entertaining, but could've been done better

The series kicked off with a promising start, drawing viewers in with its charm and humor. The initial episodes set the stage for what seemed to be an exciting journey ahead. However, despite the promising start, the story started to stumble in the middle with some scenes feeling a bit dragged out. As the series attempted to weave together various plotlines, certain plot twists and turns lacked the punch needed to elevate the narrative. Still, it managed to regain momentum towards the end, making a good finish in the final episodes. The crude jokes? Honestly, it all comes down to how you feel about them. Personally, I think they're well-placed and not overly done.

I personally think one of the highlights of this series is the performances delivered by James Jirayu and Bella Ranee. It's a comeback of Thai beloved koojin people have been waiting for. The duo's acting prowess shines through, bringing authenticity to their characters. Even with very minimal (or should I call it the awkward) kiss scenes, their on-screen chemistry is undeniably amazing, adding an extra layer of charm to the series. Plus, the wardrobes are fantastic too.

While the acting and chemistry between the lead actors are commendable, the CGI in the show really needs improvement. The effects come off as unconvincing. Also, the theme of black magic felt overused and cliched, failing to bring anything new to the table as I've seen similar stuff in other Ch3 shows.

In conclusion, while it may fall short in certain areas, the series is entertaining and offers a lighthearted experience for fans of the lead actors. If you're looking for something with a mix of romance, comedy, and drama, this series is one you can consider.

I've discovered the absolute best drama of 2025!

Guess what? I've discovered the absolute best drama of 2025! I couldn't get enough of it. The actors and actresses are stunning, and even the villains are super handsome! 😄 Their chemistry is off the charts, and they all nailed their roles, making this the standout drama of 2025! 🌟 I really think everyone should see it. I've already watched it several times! 💖

mixed feelings

this is one of the shows which have a story, in fact a very interesting story
chemistry and acting of the actors are good (no complaint about it) but its the execution of the story is what feels lacking, its kind of interesting but weird in the same time? confusing? thats how i was feeling most of the time like it could have been done much better, but as i said the story is interesting, something fresh and new, could have been done better tho

A Gem of A Drama – No Clichés, No Nonsense

You can even binge-watch Fated Hearts, just like I did and I fell in love.
The characters are meticulously portrayed through awe-strucking acting and story writing. The characters are complex, ever evolving, humane, and you can understand the motives for their actions, that is something I haven't seen in many dramas.
The storyline was fantastic and it really stepped past those annoying clichés.

In short. Watch for the Characters, their growth, their motives and the NO-Nonesense Storyline.

One critic if I must say, is that the side couple/romance, including the ML's younger sister, FL's ex-fiancé, and the emperor of that empire should have not been given the amount of screen time it was given. It was quite insignificant and didn't add much to the whole storyline otherwise. But, you can definitely watch those scenes as a standalone, because it definitely once again portrays human natures, our motives, ambitions, experiences and how they shape us beautifully.
And one last critic, the drama should have had 2 more episodes, for a better, paced closure.

But, overall, it was mesmerizing, emotional and fascinating!

It's formulaic and predictable, which makes it boring.

Sure, they gave us an incredibly good-looking and talented cast, but forgot to match the plot to their looks and acting chops

Park Bo Gum's character is too moral and is the boy version of a Mary Sue. Also, that whole 'has a brain injury but won't go to the hospital, take care of himself, or tell anyone' thing pissed me off to no end.

I was curious to see Lee San Yi again after Bloodhounds, but his character is also boring. The jilted male lover who just won't leave or give up. They tried making his character interesting with his weird, mysterious family dynamic, but still... Meh.

Our female lead... she doesn't leave much of an impression. She's there to be the romantic interest, and that's all she majorly is. They don't use her to her full potential. I wanted to see that sharp shooting talent of hers put to good use, but as of ep 11, I think we only saw her use it once - in that episode with the break-in.

Oh Jung Se's character, I think I read an article here that said that he wanted to portray 'a grotesque monster with the most ordinary face'. That is actually what made me give this show a chance. However, all he is is a stupidly rich fellow who doesn't smile much.
They did good with that 'most ordinary face thing' - he's not a heartthrob type villain, he looks like a regular dude - but lost it with the whole 'grotesque monster' thing. I wanted him to get his hands dirty. Min Ju Yeong (Oh Jung Se's character) didn't scare me. He looked constipated, though.
I wish they had given me someone like Ok Taec Yeon's character in Vincenzo. Or the murderer guy from Beyond Evil. Then the word 'grotesque monster' could have fit perfectly

Male Lead caught my attention!

All Things Grow (2025) is a beautiful and emotional short drama that captures how love and growth can happen quietly but deeply. Even though each episode is short, the storytelling feels complete — every look, every silence, and every moment between the leads carries meaning.

The chemistry between the main characters is strong and natural. Their emotions come through without overacting, and I liked how the story focuses not just on romance, but on healing, trust, and becoming better people for each other. The pacing is steady and the visuals are simple but warm, giving the whole drama a comforting tone.

What touched me most was how realistic the characters feel — imperfect yet sincere. It’s not the typical overdramatic short drama, but something more grounded and heartfelt. A gentle reminder that love isn’t about perfection, but growth. Truly one of the better short dramas I’ve seen lately. 🌿💛
love guo yu xin
love ML too! haven't watched him for a long time

OMG SPEECHLESS

THIS IS BEST DRAMA I HAVE WATCHED SOO FAR. This was soo funny and towards the end, it was emotional. Loved the chemistry between genie (Iblis) and psychopath and their interaction- how he was afraid of her, her hittingher everytime they met, their romance, their sacrifice. The side characters like grandma (I cried for that part the way she dies), sayyid (the panther) he was so funny and was full of humour, even FL grandma younger version was so pretty and acted well.

The episode 1-9 are hilarious and full of humour. The plot was amazing and not at all boring. This was my first time I didn't skip the parts of the drama. 9-12 episodes of soo emotional and full of sacrifices. The sacrifice of grandma, sayyid and all others. I felt bad for min ju (FL BFF) she had gone through a lot and lost many people in her life- her ex lover, she fell in love with FL grandma younger version without knowing her identity and MOST IMPORTANT her every wish in end were of ka young happiness- she reunited the main lead even tho she knew she will forget everything about her. TRULY BEST FRIEND OF KA YOUNG

JUST AMAZING

I just finished watching this. IT was SOOO gentle and healing drama. Loved the main couple (ju-ju couple). They healed each other and supported each other. I loved how FL was tough girl and ML was gentle-caring guy. The second lead were so pretty and charming. I loved the story overall of both main and second leads. I loved the villagers too and everything gave me a pure summer vibe. If you like hometown cha cha cha, you would definitely love this too.

FAV DRAMA OF ZHU YI AUTHOR.

DAMN. This drama is best school life drama I have ever seen. amazing friendship, romance, comedy, emotional and drama. I loved the chemistry of su Zai Zai and Zhang lurang. I love how FL chases ML till the end where he too falls for her. If you look for she fell first and he fell harder, THIS IS THE ONE. Go for it. This is one of first dramas who also focus on second lead with first lead. AHHHHH second lead was also too good. This is one of my favorite out of all Zhu Yi writers' drama.

TOOOO GOOD

I was hesitant to watch this in start but damn. I regret not watching it sooner. amazing plot and main lead as well as side leads all were handsome and beautiful. There were proper plot and conflict and everything else was not dragged. I am just little disappointed in ending as it is more of open ending. I hoped they get married in the end. I loved the chemistry of main leads- how ML was kind of obsessed and pure green flag to FL. He always cared for her and made sure she was doing well. I also loved the bond of ML and his brother typically Asian mom behavior. I love the ML brother he was practically the photographer and cupid of the main lead. If you want any photo of romance of main leads, go to his brother. I also felt bad for fatty as whenever main lead kissed ir exposed their relationship he knew all along. And he was third wheeling them unintendedly everywhere. POOR GUY. I also like second lead (FL best friend and the other guy).

I also loved how K was aware of everything happening between main lead. I first time in cdrama history felt bad for ML ex that guy was so handsome, but he lost his chance. it was pure slice of life of gamers- no love triangle, straightforward episodes, handsome leads, funny, emotional, possessiveness of male lead. it has everything. MUST WATCH IT.

Stunning series. 10/10 if the pacing was a bit quicker.

The series shines with its amazing production, stunning acting, breathtaking chemistry between couples & heartfelt storytelling. I recommend everyone who doesn't mind a bit of horror to go and watch it!!
The only thing taking away from it being a perfect 10/10 is that the episodes were often almost 2 hours long and the series would've benefitted from not drawing everything out quite as long. That did stand out to me, among everything else that I really, really loved.
This series went above and beyond in creating a magical show that is respectful of and teaches a lot about spirituality, buddhist tales & symbolism. The characters have a lot of depth & the actors are able to portray so many emotions through simple glances, stares and posture. The NC scenes were very sensual, tasteful & added to the story. They felt natural and deeply romantic rather than placed in for titillation.
Thank you to all of the actors as well as the people behind the scenes for crafting this ama show.

Surprising, fun and slightly nostalgic

This was a nice surprise, I only saw the poster and some reviews and it turned out really fun. It has a unique story revolving around fashion and models. Where the main lead is an aspiring fashion designer, he is reserved, shy and a bit sheltered. His main and only inspiration is the model AE who he saw on the runway, thus sparking his career choice.

This is not a 3 way romance or throuple as the poster suggests, instead it is two main leads where one has a double identity which is actually quite believable as his style is wildly different, including a wig and a hat.

The music is fun and at times, really lovely. This is a story about growth, maturing and hidden identity.

I get so much nostalgia from this show as I was also timid and into alternative fashion as a teen like many people were a few years go.

Lack of Whodunnit, Heavy of Howdunnit

A remake from 'Beyond Evil', South Korean drama. suspense, crime, mystery, revenge. Centered on a 25 years murder case that had never been cleared. Someday, a new case blown up and related to the old case. The police of a small town start to digging down to the case and solving it. They must catch up the murderer.

The pilot episode looks unconvincing, honestly, but as far as the show runs, the tension keep higher and intense. I love the way they serving us whodunnit and wheredunnit but not in a heavy weight. Instead it's heavy on howdunnit, they just blatantly showing the doer to the audience, not letting the audience solving by ourself. Also they serving the way the heroine and the other police officers solving with their unique trap.

I completely mesmerize by how they crafting it. Eventho, they blatantly showing the murderer in the very first second, but they ain't lack of thrilling at all, instead the way we knew the doer, the more we get seize by them, and we feel angry whenever they made a lil wrong decision. The process of how they turn to be a Monster to catch the Big Monster behind, that fits perfectly with the title. This is what makes it different from the original Beyond Evil.

By only ten episodes but still crafting it packed and solid. The layering conflict that neat. The problem solving that typically japan, 'banding together' and 'everyone has a reason of every single thing they did', also 'the atonement despite they did right for the sake of anti-hero stuff'. Oh, the most realistic one.

They broke my perception that this remake gonna be boring and decent. But, a big no. Dare to say this is one of the successful remake, at least for me. Not a totally same story, but the way they crafting it with different screenplay and perspective were utterly magnificent. They stunned by their unique way of remaking. A point plus, this is fast pace, which never boring to watch.

The performance of Mizukami Koshi was surprisingly so good, and he could balancing his acting with Yasuda Ken. Oh, Yasuda Ken, your acting was top notch, sir! Both of them have serving detail acting, some subtle act, no dialogues but their eyes can told. Also, some emotional act with nothing overacting, instead how they control their mimic were chef's kiss. Those smile looks creepy, dude.

Since this is W.O.W.O.W project, so the color grading, scenery, cinematography were all fits in. Especially the color grading, oh It felt cold and creepy whenever they used dark blue with those minim lighting. The angle placement that perfectly precise. Japanese countryside that looks beauty and a bit scary.

All in all, if you want to watch a suspense, mystery, crime drama with few episodes, you might try this one!
