BEST GL ALL TIME 10/10
This series has EVERYTHING!- Great chemistries for both main leads and the second couple
- Great acting, production, music, cinematography, storyline, etc
- Female assistant director and many female crew
- Fantasy, drama, comedy and romance
- 12 full episodes!!!
- Every episode was fun and not boring at all
I want to praise PamArhoung for their amazing acting in spite of challenging body swapping👏 I could easily tell who is in which body. As Pam said in an interview, acting like she is in someone else's body while she needs to pretend to be someone else requires a lot of layers of acting. I don't know how they have done but they did so well👏
I want to praise Arhoung for keeping her role in romcom series although she lost her Mom around casting stage. I cannot imagine how painful and challenging it was for her🥹
I want to thank WeTV Thailand for producing this amazing series. All GLs they produced so far are outstanding. Hopefully PamArhoung will get a new series next year🙏 It's looking promising at the moment as they are attending WeTV Always More 2026 conference on 4/Nov. Please give LinnPraew a GL series too!
I'm already missing PamArhoung😅

Love's Ambition: Fake It Till You Break It ?
The Setup - Small-town girl Xu Yan spends ten years climbing to become a TV host. She changes everything about herself to fit in. Then marries rich guy Shen Hao Ming to complete her "perfect" life. 📺✨Problem? They're both faking it. She's pretending to be someone she's not. He's pretending everything's fine. Spoiler: It's not fine. 🎭
What Happens - Behind the Instagram-perfect life, their marriage is falling apart. Different backgrounds, different values, and a whole lot of lies. It's like building a house on sand, eventually it's gonna sink. 🏚️. Xu Yan gets tired of Hao Ming being controlling and divorces him. Good for her! 👏 Then Hao Ming has his "oh no, I messed up" moment and tries to win her back. Classic guy move. 🤦♂️
The Good Stuff:
First half: Tense and gripping. Watching two people juggle lies is stressful but addictive.
Middle episodes: The masks come off. Finally, some honesty!
Second half: Sweet, funny, and actually touching. They figure out how to be real people.
The drama asks: Can you really love someone when you're both lying about who you are? Deep stuff. 🤔
The Meh Stuff - Side characters are okay but kinda boring compared to the main couple. Their stories feel like diet versions of the real thing. 😴
Bottom Line - This is 32 episodes of "stop pretending and just be yourself already."
Watch if you like: Messy people, real problems, second chances that require actual work 💪
Skip if you want: Perfect love stories, no drama, easy answers 🎀
Final word: It's therapy disguised as romance. Exhausting but worth it. Like running a marathon in heels—painful but somehow satisfying. 👠🏃♀️
Rating: 8.5/10 ⭐

? “No Mercy” — The Scam Just Got a Face! ?
Okay, so we’ve all heard of scam calls and fake messages, right? But what if one day you get a video call from your mom or bestie asking for money… and it’s not really them? 😳 Yeah, this drama dives right into that nightmare — and honestly, it feels way too real! The best part about No Mercy is how it shows crimes that could actually become our future reality. It’s smart, chilling, and makes you think twice before trusting your screen again. Story-wise, it’s solid, and the message hits hard — but I’ll be honest, in terms of music and pacing, it’s a bit on the slower side.
Still, if you’re into tech-based crime thrillers and love that eerie “this could totally happen” vibe, give this one a shot. It’s a one-time watch that leaves you double-checking every video call from now on 👀📱.

This serie is among the top 5 best Chinese dramas of 2025 in my opinion
It is a magnificent historical drama, created with deep emotion, where the director and screenwriter explore the human soul — power, loyalty, and the madness born of love.Every character acts out of love: for a mother, a son, a country, or an ideal… yet that very love often becomes their downfall, and at times — a true obsession.
Feng Sui Ge — straightforward, sincere, free of political ambition but driven by a deep thirst for revenge — embodies a rare inner nobility.
Beside him, Yi Xiao shines with strength, courage, and devotion. Their bond is based on equality, trust, and mutual support — and that is precisely what makes it so beautiful.
The emperors of the two kingdoms and the second prince are mirror reflections of this integrity: prisoners of their political ambitions and thirst for recognition, they evoke reflection rather than sympathy.
The production is strikingly pictorial: the colors, the symbols, the visual parallels between scenes...
And Chen Zheyuan — what an actor! He transitions naturally from a charming military prince to a ruthless general, demonstrating remarkable charisma and inner strength. The scenes between father and son are among the most powerful and moving. He represents the ideal image of a Chinese drama prince.
Fu Yi Xiao is brave, convincing, and deeply human — a rare type of female general, realistic and believable (still an uncommon portrayal in the Chinese industry).
The supporting roles are no less impressive — which is also a rarity! The princess (Feng Xi Yang ) , initially criticized by viewers, gradually unfolds, gaining depth and evoking genuine empathy. Her duet with the emperor is simply mesmerizing. The emperor Xia Jing Yan) himself delivers one of the best performances in the series, a character who reveals new dimensions with each episode.
Only the second prince( Xia Jing Shi) left a sense of incompleteness: his story remains vague, and his acting lacks emotional depth.
The music, built on vivid leitmotifs, perfectly accompanies the scenes of cruelty and tension — appearing and disappearing sharply, just like the directing style itself.
The battles are theatrical, rhythmic, and choreographed to instrumental compositions.
From the very first minutes, one feels that the series speaks of an inner struggle — the struggle within the human heart, where kindness can at any moment turn into cruelty.
The sumptuous costumes and the symbolism in the staging of emotional scenes also deserve special mention.

if you have nothing else to watch, it's alright
i really dont understand why on ever website people tend to over rate every show, not everything is a 9 point something score. 3 episodes are in for now, no actual plot, there are hints that mermen are in danger because humans used to hunt them down. another case of i'm obssesed with you but don't even know your name or the first thing about you.maybe i'm too old for this kind of nonsense plot.
main merman guy is an idiot, seems like he has no thought behind those eyes and other main guy which is a bar owner is basically sexually harassing the merman at his work.
and bar owner constantly smiling like that is driving me crazy (in a bad way)

Didn't meet my expectations but An An was the highlight
When I first saw this drama poster, I was ecstatic. I consider Bai Yan and Xie Yu Wang as seniors in the world of vertical dramas. I had some expectations on the drama but unfortunately the drama fell short. It was still a good watch. What I liked:
1. An An - The MVP of the drama. It was humbling to see her working hard to earn money in order to buy medicine for her mother. The child actress who played An An gave a terrific performance.
2. Supporting characters - I really liked ML's cousin and father for their kindness towards An An.
3. Main characters - I liked them despite the flaws. The reasons for keeping secrets were solid.
4. Styling - Beautiful clothes worn by FL and An An.
5. Family - It is the core theme of this drama as demonstrated in interactions (i) between FL and her daughter An An, (ii) ML and his cousin and father, (iii) ML and An An, (iv) FL and her family.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - Bai Fei Fei was horrible, spoilt brat who never want to be accountable for her actions. Her parents were horrible too - greedy for money!
2. Screen time - Bai Yan had little screentime. I wish she had appeared more especially in her interactions with her daughter. I also wish there was more time allocated for the reconciliation between FL and her family.
3. Romance - I wish ML hadn't made assumptions when he saw FL again. Anyway I expected sexy time between two characters because Bai Yan and Xie Yu Wang have great onscreen kissing skills but I was letdown.
Favourite scene
When An An hustled for money

So much tragic circumstances beyond belief.
Another female general---equivalent viewability as Shadow Love. Still liked Legend of Female General better. And look for The Rebirth-mini drama condensed to 6 1 hr episodes--far more intriguing.Spoilers rant:
Be prepared for nearly every character's backstory to be filled with tragedy and betrayal and yet the leads end up as righteous people to the point of being nearly saintly.
And what really fell apart for me is how unbelievable the sister story was---was she really so naive spoiled and stubborn to throw a tantrum when her crush declares he won't love her (despite it being a political marriage) to the point of screwing him over and jeez, actually screwing the lunatic brother and getting pregnant?.....and yet ends up being the 'wise' ruler of her realm???
And gosh two overbearing dowager mothers-so exhausting. Their costume colors were so similar I had to look twice to know which mother was the focus.
Plus while beautiful Li Qin just seems older than the rest of the gang.

Drama kuda hitam bulan ini, tidak kunantikan tapi sejauh 3 drama lain. Drama ini bagus sekali.
You.It's rare to find a drama that maintains its characters and plot until the end. This drama is one of them. Usually, dramas with strong male leads like this gradually become cringe and weak in love.
However, the characters in this drama are consistent until the end.
The plot is fast-paced and not boring, suitable for people who don't like slow-burn dramas.
The story is complex, the problems are clear, and the execution is okay. Not half-hearted.
The acting is top-notch, the emotional performance is wow. I thought only Korean dramas had such great emotional performances, but this time I found a drama with similar skills.
The OST is really good, fitting, and the small pauses in the music add to the acting and emotions that are becoming increasingly wild.
The makeup is good even though the costumes are simple. This is quite modern for its drama class.
The character development is equal for everyone, perfectly balanced. There are even two stories within one drama.
I congratulate the Empress on her outstanding acting, and King Zhennan really nailed the annoying antagonist.
Ending

The story is boring, even though this is the series I wanted to watch. I'm disappointed.
Initially, I was really looking forward to this story because there was so much Reuters spreading around. But I'll be objective, xian xia dramas do have a common plot. But I like it.It's just that the story is getting slower and more aimless, and some of the humor feels dry to me. Visually, it's very pleasing to the eye, Neo, you're handsome.
As for Neo's acting, I have no complaints because I've liked him since Back From The Brink, I've watched many of his series.
The CGI and costumes are very beautiful.
The shortcomings lie in the story and some acting that seems forced. As for the female lead, she could learn more, because from what I've noticed in her previous dramas, she still plays expressions monotonously.
The OST is good, but it doesn't quite hit the mark, it lacks extravagance.

Saga with little romance
It took me coming back to this drama several times before it caught me up into the story. The acting by the entire cast is over the top best. The story is compelling but romance does take a back seat. Earlier comment suggested it might be the age gap of the leads so i looked up their ages. Holy cow, i would NEVER believed the Wang Xingue was THAT young!!! He carries himself as a very believable mature character in this as well as in Perfect Match. I loved the musical score. Was this review helpful to you?
business is.
cliché. product placement.cliché. overproduction.
cliché. misrepresentation.
cliché. distorted life priorities.
cliché. unhealthy relationship w food.
cliché.
jeja vu giving deja vu a piggyback.
cliché.
all seasoned through and through with more cliché for one's viewing pleasure.
a bunch of A-listers for good measure.
an international collab. just because.
and WTH with the last scene? like, seriously??
oh well, business is business, I guess.
it's nothing personal.
a good reason not to skip it would be if you're terminal.
and you've checked all the boxes on your bucket list.
including the bungee jumping.
called all the exes that needed apologizing to.
sent a voice message to the ones that never picked the call.
found a new loving home for your cat.
and now you just sit there. waiting.
in that unfortunate case, I say - by all means, watch this.
nothing to lose, right?
and ya'll know what? canceling ntflx, for the sheer chance to minimize the risk of having to witness yet another human's exitance and a life mission on Earth (of making organic apricot jam or whatever apparently) validated by business partners, suddenly seems like an idea worth pondering. and for a person that does appreciate craftsmanship in general, that's something.

Best Enemies to Lovers
I don't have too much to say other than wow!! wowwie!!! Goodness Gracious those two are freaky for each other. This show does the best adaptation of enemies to lovers that I have ever seen. Hands down.
Other than that, the acting is excellent. I love both leads so much and they had amazing chemistry, together and with their other scene partners. The characters were perfectly nuanced and had so much depth to them, even villains you though would be one dimensional ended up having surprising depth to them.
The story was amazing and gripping. I highly highly recommend. I'm typically a binge watcher and get bored if I have to watch on a schedule but this one kept me hooked from start to finish.
Great show!

Can you imagine?
Wow this story was so good. It had good comprehension and wonderful elements. I loved every romance of each couple because their storyline were all different (aprox). I really love fantasy/magical dramas because you can really get creative with anything. Any rule and any incomprehension can make sense because it is a fictional world. When we dived into the letters part it was so clever yet so simple. Such a good and short drama.Moving on, the acting of Wang Yinglu was extremely surprising. I didn't know she could act that good and im so glad she takes on very different roles in her dramas. Zhou Yiran is young and so talented. His facial expressions are my fav bc he is not only hot he is just so so talented.
I didn't pay attention to the music so don't ask me anything lmao. Maybe it didn't impact me a lot.
A good watch, would rewatch it again just for the fun of it because it's a short drama. I normally hate rewatching dramas bc I don't feel the same shock and emotion as the first time.

Binge worthy series that deserves a second season
i wholeheartedly believe this could have done numbers in korea if it just had more episodes and promotion. of course it's a web drama so it's to be expected that it would only have 8 episodes with barely any coverage on its release. regardless this was an enjoyable watch that only took me about an hour and a half to finish. the plot was intriguing, actors did their part well especially so hee and hyo bin, soundtrack wasn't anything special but i did like one song in it, the romance was also cute (which might only be because i enjoy the dynamic of a quiet girl and popular guy) and the characters were also written well for a short drama. i can't exactly complain about the characters not being fleshed out or the ending being rushed since it is a web drama, i just hope we'll be able to get a second season for it. overall it is an enjoyable watch if you want something short to binge. Was this review helpful to you?
