The Glory
The Glory isn’t your typical revenge K-drama with flashy twists and heroic speeches. It’s cold, patient, and almost painfully controlled—just like Moon Dong-eun herself. The story doesn’t rush to make you feel satisfied; instead, it makes you sit with the damage. Every scar, every silence, every slow step in her plan reminds you that trauma doesn’t fade just because time passes.Song Hye-kyo delivers one of the strongest performances of her career. There’s no exaggeration in her acting—her eyes do the screaming. Dong-eun isn’t written as a “strong female lead” in the loud sense; her strength is survival. She doesn’t forgive, she doesn’t forget, and the drama never asks her to. That alone makes The Glory feel brutally honest.
What truly elevates the series is how it treats revenge not as fantasy, but as consequence. The villains aren’t cartoonishly evil; they’re disturbingly realistic, protected by money, status, and silence. Watching them unravel feels earned, not celebratory—there’s no joy, only balance being restored.
The pacing is slow but intentional, the cinematography muted and heavy, and the writing sharp without being preachy. The Glory doesn’t offer comfort. It offers truth.
In the end, this isn’t a story about winning—it’s about reclaiming dignity after it was stolen. And that’s why The Glory lingers long after the final episode.

Perfects arcs with mixed execution
Right off the bat, this show may have some of the best characters arcs in any show of recent memory. They are perfectly established, explored, and resolved with gradual pacing through the show. So gradually, in fact, I hardly noticed until the final episode rolled around and my jaw dropped to the floor in realization. This alone in my eyes makes it worth watching, however there are some other details to consider. While the story was good, it was slow and stressful. The production was mostly good, although the music was god-awful. Let me elaborate. When it comes to business dramas, this falls more into the camp of the dramatic than the intelligent. That's not to say it wasn't a well crafted story, but it wasn't pulling out genius business ideas (like the similarly titled "Wild Ambition Bloom") to bring our mc to the top. Rather, she succeeds through tenacity, negotiation, and an absolutely ridiculous risk tolerance. Drama is great and all, but the result of this is victories can sometimes feel contrived, even if they were a result of the main character's strong will. Adding to this, things moved forward at very slow pace. Like most stories, things got worse and better in various plot arcs, but these arcs were so long that you could spend several episodes in the "bad" eras, where things are all going wrong, before finally a solution presents itself. And after that little time is spent enjoying the good times.
This was not helped by the music, which is my main gripe with the show. The collection of seemingly like five songs total makes for a great deal repetition, and all of them are quite drab, adding an air of stress and unease to even the happy times (which were already few and far between). The smooth jazz unfortunately does not fit the tone of every scene, especially the happy ones. But the worst of it by far is that one song with the god-awful saxophone piercing my ears through the too-loud mixing, absolutely drowning out all dialogue and reverberating around in my skull. This is one of the few times I think music has had a notable detrimental effect on a show.
But, despite all these qualms, I still enjoyed the show. The constant competition between the main rival business owners kept me on the edge of my seat, and the main protagonists were all sympathetic and likeable. And, of course, the character arcs shined through everything. Each character has very clear personalities and flaws, and these flaws are explored fabulously through the medium of the plot. It took me a while to realize the genius of the writing here was tying every event back into these characters arcs, the prevalent themes of karma, growth, and repentance.
I'll briefly note that there isn't too much communist propaganda to worry about here, as this show is decidedly pro-business (despite the pretty much ignored protests of one minor character). In fact, I'd even call it subtly anti-regime in its on-brand portrayal of the CCP recklessly changing regulations and obstructing businesses.
If you like show about business, or good character explorations (with lots of plot), I definitely recommend this show.

Chaotic Chemistry, Soft Consequences
The Heart Killers is the kind of show that pulls you in fast, overwhelms you midway, and still leaves you smiling when it ends. From the very first episode, the series hooks you with its unhinged energy, messy dynamics, and absolutely magnetic chemistry. The pacing never felt draggy despite the long length, and while watching, I genuinely enjoyed the chaos, though I did have to take long breaks because the show can get emotionally loud and overwhelming at times.
Where the series falls short for me is in its lack of consequences. For a story built around hitmen, lies, betrayal, and criminal activity, conflicts are resolved far too easily... often within a single episode.
The hitman aspect remains largely theoretical rather than practical, the police investigation feels surface-level, and major plot elements (like the true motive and role of “Mother”) are never fully explored. Even the families’ acceptance of their son and brother dating hitmen happens unrealistically smoothly, which dilutes the tension the premise promises.
That said, the show clearly knows its priority: romance. The entire narrative revolves around bringing the two couples together, and in that regard, it succeeds beautifully. The chemistry, especially between Style and Fadel is the heart of the series and carries it effortlessly. Their dynamic is messy, embarrassing, intense, and oddly tender, making their scenes consistently engaging.
Overall, The Heart Killers is not a flawless or deeply grounded crime story, but it is an entertaining, chaotic, romance driven BL that delivers strong chemistry and memorable characters. It could have been much heavier and more impactful had it dared to explore consequences and darkness more seriously, but for what it chooses to be, it’s still a highly enjoyable watch.

What happened?
I went into this with semi-high expectations given the leads. I can't even get through the first episode. It's just so ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. Ridiculous. I love Li Yi Tong, but this was painful. Was this review helpful to you?
A melo-drama masterpiece with deep meaning
Joo Ha-jin and Cha Moo-hee are, at their core, the same kind of person—one conceals fragility behind madness, the other masks avoidant panic with logic and calm. Although Ha-jin can translate multiple languages, understanding Moo-hee’s heart proves far more difficult. What may appear to some viewers as repeated misunderstandings or emotional distance is, in fact, a deliberate exploration of Moo-hee’s coping mechanisms—her tendency to test love through withdrawal and self-sabotage. Her inner conflict reflects a constant struggle between reason and desire, fear and longing.
Through this dynamic, the drama gradually reveals how emotional walls are built and, more importantly, how they can be approached with patience rather than correction. Ha-jin’s journey with the support of Do Ra-mi becomes one of learning empathy, emotional presence, and acceptance, leading to one of the most compelling portrayals of mutual healing in recent melodrama.
Thought-provoking, emotionally resonant, and deeply satisfying, this is an ideal watch for viewers seeking a meaningful and rewarding weekend drama.

One of the most wholesome and well-made dark romances
I feel hypocritical giving this drama a 9.5 when I'm so demanding of others that are arguably much "better" lol. This drama, because of its short length, manages to remain satisfying throughout the entire plot.
Positive points: Both MCs are very attractive. At first, I thought the ML looked old, but he's the ML I've fallen in love with the most out of all the dramas I've watched so far. He's obsessed with her (to an expected degree for a dark romance), and FL has enough personality and courage to confront this and embrace the obsession (which is a cliché I love).
It's not a drama that will impact, change lives, move people, or win awards, but if you like dark romance with a strong FL, you'll probably enjoy this one. It did what it set out to do very well.
Bonus: The steamy scenes between the protagonists were very well done! I loved that they weren't afraid to explore that aspect. I've never seen so many "hot" scenes in a C-drama, especially so well done and tasteful.

Cold Devil, Soft Fairy, and Surprisingly Sincere Storytelling
Want a forbidden romance between the dainty and pretty Fairy and a cold-hearted and a handsome Devil? No problem! a fan of xianxia with its own fantasy world and lore? Say no more, because Love Between Fairy and Devil has got it all covered! To be frank, forbidden romance is something that is overdone so much by now, that I shouldn't have been tempted to try watching it for the nth time.
But watching countless TV shows, movies, and C-dramas has taught me this: it doesn't matter how overdone a trope or a story is; if done correctly; it can still draw the audience and be a gem on its own!
And so is the case with LBFAD. The cute and pretty Orchid is accidentally put in the path of the Moon Supreme (our Devil) and without meaning to, sets him free from his eternal imprisonment. It's a pretty typical setup in C-dramas for making two characters who wouldn't usually and logically meet, stick and go on their journey together. But I don't have any complaints; it was the journey afterwards and their interesting and hilarious interactions between these two leads that made the drama an absolute blast to watch!
The other characters were also well written and the story is well constructed; the stakes are real and interactions between characters feel real and authentic. I never felt any emotion, sadness or happiness, portrayed on the screen fake or any emotional scene was there because of melodrama. And this really impressed me, because not once I was taken out of the story and felt deeply for its characters. It is remarkable, because in a lot of C-dramas (even some of the ones I really like), there's this issue of too much dramatization or a scene being too melodramatic. So with LBFAD it was noticeable and I really appreciated it.
But let's not forget about the cast! Especially our two leads Esther Yu and Dylan Wang, who play Orchid and Dongfang Qingcang, respectively. This is my first time watching them, and based on it alone, they both have the power to draw the audience. Of course, the script is very well written and possibly, the largest contributing factor to its success. But these two basically carry the show, and why not? Having watched my share of C-dramas, I can say without any doubt that Esther Yu has #! spot on being the cutest Chinese actor who can melt the heart of any mortal or immortal in the three realms!
Dylan Wang also perfectly portrays the ruthless moon supreme with a cold and unfeeling demeanor, feared by everyone. And it's this contrast and opposite personalities that make their interactions so interesting to watch. Secondary characters and cast members like Shangque and Jieli, are well cast too. But perhaps if I had one criticism about casting, it is that the actor and actress playing the current and former god of war don't really… look the part? Don't get me wrong, Zhang Linghe is a good choice for portraying the dashing, yet honor- bound immortal (who secretly loves Orchid), but he looks too soft to play god of war. The same goes for the actress that plays the former god of war too. But other than this, all of the cast members perform their roles brilliantly.
The customs, the sets and the overall look of the three realms were spot on and each felt distinguished. For example, you could tell by clothing, set design and hairstyles that who belonged to the Fairy realm, the Moon Tribe and the world of humans.
The songs for this one are not so many, but they're beautiful and convey the overall feel of the drama and the characters.
So, all in all, Love Between Fairy and Devil was a very memorable and satisfying experience for me. It's not flawless and the pacing slows down a bit at some points, but never stops and you always want to know what happens next.
In terms of xianxia genre, it doesn't beat Till The End of The Moon for me, but it comes second place or very close to it. It's not the hard-wrenching tragedy that is Till The End of The Moon. But it is equal parts joy and sorrow, wonder and grief and it is very sincere and authentic in its storytelling and in my eyes, a rare gem.

This drama had so much potential
I really wanted to like this drama more and it had so much potential to be great, but for me it fell short. The story never fully developes and the reasons the male lead had for not getting together early on was kind of ridiculous! This could have been a classic, but instead it was a bit of a struggle to finish. There were too many moments when I would shake my head for their reasoning ti not get together. It just didn't make sense! Really great locations, shooting in Canada and Italy with high production values, but that wasn't enough because after all... its all about the story!

A slow-burning healing tale of unconditional love—If that bores you, move on silently.
It unfolds quietly and thoughtfully, asking for patience—but those who stay are met with a deeply felt emotional resonance. Viewers drawn to gradual romance, inward journeys, and stories of healing will find it rewarding. Those seeking brisk storytelling or breezy entertainment, however, may find it dense and unhurried.Direction & production quality is another level. Director literally blended past and present & kept a leeway for the future. I read the novel, only shortcoming I felt is that, when it comes to the drama, the female lead become little bit more dependent on male lead.

A "Hidden Gem" Ancient Love Story
An Ancient Love Song follows the story of a book author who travels back to an ancient era, discovers the truth about a historical woman that differs from what history books say, and decides to change her fate.I didn’t expect much since it’s such a short drama, only 14 episodes, each under 30 minutes. But I was blown away. Surprisingly, the acting is great, the cinematography is good, and the story is well written. It’s such a hidden gem.
Time travel to an ancient era is a pretty common premise, whether in Chinese dramas or series from other countries, some popular ones have already used this trope. Here, though, the writer adds something fresh with clever twists and turns, which made me curious and eager to click the next episode right away.
Actually, the first few episodes felt a bit boring to me, and I couldn’t feel any chemistry between the main leads at first. But, as the episodes progressed, I really started to enjoy their time together. Some scenes do feel like they lack detail. The ending was exactly what I expected and honestly the most realistic outcome possible.
I also want to give credit to the main actress, she portrays the female lead beautifully across different eras. I could feel her different emotions through her gaze alone.
Overall, it’s fun and warm. I enjoyed it without overthinking, yet the feeling still lingers in my heart.

Lock up your IQ & watch the drama.
Overall production quality is good. Story is below average. How can they come up with a non reasonable storyline with poor execution. When blending a fantasy - reality story line, you should either provide logical reasoning or emotional reasoning. Iam a great fan of chinese fantasy... But it's such a huge disappointment. Was this review helpful to you?

I Came for the Plot, Stayed Because My Brain Clocked Out + Dimples (´。• ◡ •。`)
To begin with, this was a filler drama for me. I wanted something to pass the time while waiting for the last two episodes of Spring Fever. Plus, the storyline seemed interesting. It gave strong vibes of Double mixed with Blossom, two of my all-time favourites. I wouldn’t say I was entirely disappointed, but it definitely wasn’t a satisfying watch.Story
This is a historical, blast-to-the-past drama. Two stepsisters are married off to two cousins from a noble family. The “evil” stepsister ends up marrying the ML and suffers greatly. The “good” one - our FL - carves out a seemingly happy life despite being married to the opportunistic and immoral cousin. Out of sheer jealousy, the evil sister kills the FL… and then dies herself.
Both get a chance to go back to the day of their weddings.
This time, the evil one chooses the other guy while forcing the FL to marry the ML. Cue kitchen politics, where the FL triumphs every single time. There’s another death-and-reincarnation cycle, which somehow swaps the couples again. Add a standard villain who gets his just desert, a redemption arc for the stepsister, and a HEA for the leads.
Things I liked
— ML: The actor is cute. My shallowness approved of his dimple. He also did a good job.
— FL: The actress has a lovely smile. Her character has a lot of spunk and is very resourceful.
— Short episodes: All episodes are under 20 minutes, and there are only 26 of them. The drama didn’t demand much commitment. With some fast forwarding, I finished it in about two hours.
Things I did not like
— Weak script: A classic case of an Idiot Plot. Nearly everyone except the leads operates with below par intelligence. They scheme against the FL, but their plans are dumber than the dumbest - so naturally, they fail. Rinse and repeat.
Grave incidents keep happening. The FL uncovers the perpetrators… then the scene changes, and everyone promptly forgets. They’re worse than Dory. They even forget there was a child at the beginning of the drama.
The plot also felt like a swingers’ club. In the first life, the stepsister is with the ML and the FL with the smarmy cousin. In the second life, they swap spouses. In the third go-around, they revert to the original couples. Oy vey.
Lack of research: I didn’t major in ancient or modern Chinese history, but this drama seems to flip ancient societal rules on their head. Divorces happen at the drop of a hat. The ML and FL are in-laws in the third timeline. When they want to get together, a minor scandal appears and disappears instantly. Nobody bats an eye when they finally get married. The leads and the erstwhile evil sis even have a round of drinks and joke and laugh about their swingers’ club. ∘ ∘ ∘ ( °ヮ° ) ?
Concubine is allowed to run the prince’s household. Also, the legitimate daughter is married of to a concubine’s son and a concubine’s daughter is married to the prince. Say what?
The cousin cheats in the civil exam and still somehow gets appointed by (I think) the prince. It’s like emperors, laws, and consequences don’t exist.
Why make a period drama, I wonder.
Overall
This would have been a complete yawnfest if not for the ML’s cuteness. It’s a dumb plot that requires you to stop thinking altogether. It’s short, and that’s the biggest positive I can give it. Otherwise, it’s a solid meh.

Passion, Revenge, and Romance
I am not good with reviews but let me first share my opinions in brief.why i loved it?
1st handsome ML and SML ! my first criteria as a woman. talented and handsome. so ladies your eyes would be pleased.
2nd bromance was also very good. no unnecessary drama plot between main Lead actress and the male actors. Just sweet jeleousy.
3rd. extreme chemistry between are leads. I am also fond of Jin Zi Xuan, she has good chemistries with main leads.
In a historical romance setting, this is one of the best. As a mature couple, you kiss each other often, which is present in this drama. The passion is clearly given the in romantic scenes. Since our leads waited each other for years, the romance must be passionate not sweet. Loved it!
the story you may think is a cliché. But I enjoyed the strong female lead backup buy a smart handsome main lead and second lead. I enjoyed it. if you want to watch something less emotional burden (on your chest) this is the drama. In my opinion, this drama could have been a longer one. for me it was short though i really enjoyed it!
Costumes were also great for a short drama. fancy and elegant
Some of you will find the relationship between the emperor and her sister awkward but im not giving any spoilers.
Enjoy the show!
