Rider Jump! Rider Kick!

Giving birth to one of the most endearing pieces of tokusatsu media on the planet, the influence of the original Kamen Rider is impossible to overstate. Its themes of identity, sacrifice and resistance against oppressive power still resonate even today, giving rise to the idea of the tragic, masked hero in one of its most enduring forms. Despite initially starting as a more mature option for tokusatsu fans, the show truly finds its stride when it stops taking itself too seriously and starts having fun with its pulpy premise, treating it with a surprising earnestness. Granted, some pretty notable factors have unfortunately dated the show in its accessibility, being an excruatingly 98-episodes long, it's very easy to get burnt out with how repetitive it can be, with some episodes showing their age more than others. While the show's adamant refusal to explain itself and sudden shift in tone due to Hiroshi Fujioka's injuries is jarring, the overall look and stylings of the show are so endearingly charming, visually rich and all around exciting. Rarely does it feel like the budgetary limitations get in the way of telling a good story. The fights are dynamic, the motorcycle action is aplenty, and the sound of the opening theme is more than enough to get the blood pumping as the Riders face off against a swarm of Shocker grunts or in a showdown against the monster. While certainly rough around the edges, everything about Kamen Rider is done with such infectious enthusiasm; throughout its ups and downs, its message never falters. Human life is more important than even peace and justice, and your humanity is not defined by your body alone.

A realistic take on age gap dating

Aoshima-kun Is a Bully is another manga-to-live adaptation of Aoshima-kun wa Ijiwaru, and honestly, it’s one of those dramas you don’t expect much from… and then it turns out to be really cute. It’s light, comforting, and surprisingly realistic when it comes to age-gap relationship challenges.

Plot*
The story follows Yukino, a woman about to turn 35, who has just been dumped by the boyfriend she was planning to marry. After that disappointment, she kind of gives up on marriage, on expectations, on doing what she’s “supposed” to do. She decides to enjoy being single, and her small daily pleasure becomes grabbing a drink after work at her favourite izakaya.
One night, she runs into Aoshima, a 26-year-old coworker. Even though they work at the same company, they’ve never really spoken because they’re complete opposites. Yukino is the dependable, mom-type employee who puts 100% into her job. Aoshima is the popular heartthrob everyone at work gushes over.
Their short interaction gets awkwardly interrupted when Yukino’s friend reminds her about an upcoming wedding and how excited everyone is to meet her boyfriend. Since Yukino was just dumped, she panics and impulsively asks Aoshima to pretend to be her boyfriend—for just one day.
That one lie quickly turns into a deal.
Aoshima wants to escape constant female attention, and Yukino wants to prove to others and maybe to herself that she can still be like anyother woman. Of course, what starts as a fake relationship slowly turns real as they begin catching feelings for each other.

Spoilers ahead*

The drama is genuinely cute, and the cast did a really good job. But what I enjoyed the most was how the age gap was handled. They don’t just mention it, they show it in everyday life.
Yukino has been single for most of her life, and by 35 she has built a solid routine. When she starts dating Aoshima for real, his constant visits to her home slowly exhaust her. She can’t sleep comfortably. She feels the need to dress up all the time. She loses that quiet space she used to recharge.
And honestly? That felt extremely real.
In your 20s, you’re flexible. You’re exploring, experimenting, and relationships flow without much thought. But in your 30s, you already have a life. You have a way you start your mornings and end your days. You’ve learned to enjoy being alone. There are parts of yourself you don’t want to show to anyone.
I really appreciated that the drama highlighted these aspects. They’re small, often overlooked details, but they matter. They show that an age gap isn’t just about numbers, it’s about rhythm, lifestyle, and emotional space.
Overall, Aoshima-kun Is a Bully is a soft, easy watch that still manages to feel relatable and honest. It doesn’t try to be deep, but it understands its characters, and sometimes that’s enough.

…Also, did anyone else notice the cameo from Usokon main lead ? That was such a fun little moment, considering Shota Watanabe( Aoshima-kun) also plays in that series.

A fun watch if you like psychotic characters

To start this off, the acting 😩The acting was so good I don’t care what anybody says, almost every single character did their job perfectly from beginning to end.
I think my favorite part of this drama is that it’s not actually revenge, it’s just a story about a psychopath that wants to destroy almost everything. If anything I found this a really fun watch.
I do understand the people who said the ending was meh, but honestly I found the ending okay, not amazing, but acceptable. In the end she got exposed, and the best part about it, is that her biggest confidant did it, not even because he hated her, but because till the end he loved her.
Either ways, overall I actually enjoyed this, it was a short nice watch.

Love, Lies, and Luxury: A Perfectly Addictive Start

Ohm returns as Yu, a charming scammer, and the role suits him well. Pairing him with newcomer Poon as North turns out to be a strong move, with chemistry that feels natural and engaging.

The premise pulls you in right away. Cousins North and Pai, heirs to a billionaire empire, both becoming victims of romance scams sounds dramatic, but the show treats it with just the right balance of tension and fun. I really loved that the story is set in modern day Thailand where same sex marriage is legal and completely normalized. It adds warmth and realism instead of making it a big dramatic point.

Seeing Junior as Tim and Mark as Pat again made me so happy. Perfect 10 Liners fans, we are being fed. Junior plays Tim as a flawless scammer, smooth and calculated, and he owns every scene he is in. The pacing of episode one is wild in the best way. Tim and Pai date, move in together, talk about kids, and get engaged within the first twenty minutes. Faster than my dinner and I was laughing and shocked at the same time. I know it is a scam but I am absolutely locked in.

Visually, the show is beautiful. The office spaces look sleek, the rich house set screams money, and the forest scenery is stunning. I loved the parallel of both couples falling into the water during their first meeting. It felt playful and symbolic without being cheesy. The music fits perfectly, the acting is strong across the board, and the chemistry between all the leads is convincing.

Review updated, decreased from 9.5 to 8
I really liked episode 1, it was fast paced and fun to watch. But from episode 2 to 12 it felt dragged out. Honestly, they could have told the same story in six episodes. I cannot believe I sat through all 12 without skipping a single scene. The plot was weak and it is the kind of series you forget about after a few weeks. It really feels like a waste of a talented cast.

If you want to see down-to-earth story watch this

I watched this since i watched the season 2 first than i tried the season 1 and i understand why it was trending.

No mistresses, no white moonlight, no domineering CEOs, no time travel, just the simple life of the 1980s. There is no kissing scene it just camera tricks that wont make this drama rating down. I quite like Sun Yiran acting in here and Wang Daotie was stable in this drama. The key is this drama the supporting characters, including the two children, neighbors, etc have very delicate and vivid acting. There are also many heartwarming lines and narrations reminds me of Morning Drama from NHK.

Plot is simple about ML and his daughter comes to village and met FL and her son. ML and FL fell in love and they married when ML discovered FL was divorce and has nowhere to live.

The drama progresses naturally, depicting the union of the two families, from strangers to gradually becoming familiar, to accepting each other, and finally to relying on each other. Although simple, it is not melodramatic and is full of touching moments.

Recommended to watch.

10/10 FOR ME INDEED

if you are looking for something feel-good, to gush over, swoonworthy, and more to feed your hopeless romantic self? i suggest you watch this 🥹 i love how well executed the series is which made me understand their dynamics better 💛💛

just two strangers— who got intense tension from the virtual world to the real word. just them both trying to help each other while unconsciously slowly getting to know each other to staying by each other's side from their ups and to their lows 🥺💛 i also love the story of the besties, i wish i had learned more about them but from the start they already have THAT chemistry.

i also love how they started and ended the series with rongcheng. they never forgot about the virtual game where everything started 🥹😫

Sweet and cute

PLOT: Two inseparable childhood friends, now divorce lawyers in the same firm, gradually discover that their feelings have changed. However, how do they face the fear of losing a precious friend? And the judgment of their fathers?

+++ Max Lin and Shih Cheng Xuan are touching, moving, and natural. No steamy scenes, but lots of kisses :)
+++ Taiwanese directors excel in this type of drama, with good psychological insight and a lot of humanity.
+++ Pleasant OSTs.

### I know that similar fathers exist in real life, but Zheng Ze Shou's father's behavior isn't rational (in relation to the mother and his son's boyfriend).
### Some unnecessary characters

=> Cute and enjoyable BL

+++ OSTs agréables.

### Je sais que des pères semblables existent IRL, mais le comportement de Zheng Ze Shou 's father n'est pas rationnel (par rapport à la mère, par rapport au boyfriend de son fils).

Quiete Satisfied

Female lead acts unnatural… She looks like Yang Yang in a wig… I cannot see her acting appropriately… The cameras moves a lot, makes me dizzy to watch and focus on the actors and actress… The male lead delivers acting quite natural, even support actors/actress doesn’t act naturally… Some effects are unnatural too… No wonder it’s just a short drama…

Where pain, patience, and love quietly meet

What I loved most is how unafraid it is to sit with pain and emotional consequences instead of relying on cheap drama. The hurt feels real, earned, and deeply human, and that made me understand the characters even when I didn’t always agree with them. It became one of those dramas I genuinely looked forward to every week, not just to watch, but to feel.

Giving Fah and Phoon their own space was such a smart choice. Their story had room to breathe, and the presence of friends actually mattered this time, shaping both the plot and their growth. The romance is slow and heavy, filled with trauma and scars, but thankfully without endless misunderstandings. Tonfah is a walking green flag, patient and protective in the softest way, while Typhoon’s journey is painful but honest. By the end, I didn’t just like them, I truly wanted them to be happy.

oh my god this is the first time I’ve watched a cdrama until the last episode. I’ve watched so many cdramas but never had the urge to watch till the end but this one i’m really sad that its over. Lu yu xiao chose the best scripts. Usually I find some flaws between cuts in cdramas but I never noticed a single one in this. The cgi effects are pretty good too. And I should appreciate the osts too. Never thought I would find myself listening to chinese ost on repeat. Both female one and the male one is exceptionally good but I prefer the intro song for myself. Can give 9/10 for the plot (minus one cause it seemed rushed) 10/10 for ost. 10/10 for acting.

It gives me asadora type of drama.

I watched this drama on December 2025 since i want to see some Family drama and it reminds me of Asadora since they showed Sichuan and Chongqing dialect in this drama.

Wang Daotie's acting is truly solid, and in this drama, his performance is explosive, perfectly embodying the devastation of a middle-aged person losing a loved one. Sun Yiran's acting in the second season is a step up from the first, with more layers in her performance; sometimes, you can feel the emotions she wants to convey just by looking at her eyes. The child actors' acting is also quite good espeicially the Eldest sister, showing great promise for the future. The only exception is the actor who played Zhou Dawei as a child, who was slightly lacking.

Personally i don't really invested on adult version of the children story but Wang Peiyan is gave me a surprise. Duan Meiyang had limited screentime but his acting was so memorable. Deng Ling Shu acting was decent. Zhao Tingyi speech reminds me of My late neighbour.

The cons is the duration is too long but still Worth to rewatching.

Secrets & Lies: A Modern-Day Sageuk (basically)

Overall, I enjoyed this drama, despite me disliking or being annoyed by some parts of it. Shin Hwa-Kyung was a fascinating villain protagonist to follow, Yoon Jae-Bin's descent into villainy was lowkey a guilty pleasure to watch, the plot twists were good, and it maintained that melodramatic tone throughout. I could've done with less scenes of Yoon Do-Bin & Jae-Bin's parents (and Han Woo-Chul, honestly. He was a sweetheart but I HATE how autistic characters are written in daily dramas. The only decent portrayal I've seen was in White Lies- in 2008), and there was way too much filler. The constant kidnappings of Han Ju-Won in the late half got annoying.

The veterans/older actors did INCREDIBLE in their roles, Oh Seung-Ah did great as the villain FL here (she won an award for a good reason), Bu-Bae was solid, Lee Jung-Moon was good (but a little OTT sometimes), and Seo Hae-Won... not good at all. The weakest actor in the main cast to me, honestly. She had no chemistry with the other actors and Woo-Jung was not interesting to watch. Hwa-Kyung felt (and WAS) far more compelling, complex, and hell, even better to watch. I'd say the characters I disliked the most were Oh Yeon-Hee (she was written so badly to me, or maybe I just failed to understand her motivations. She was all over the place and came off as incredibly annoying to me), Oh Sang-Pil (an amazing villain, I just hate how selfish he was), and Yong-Shim (Yoon brothers' mom. Greedy, vain, bitch. I couldn't stand her!) I was mostly neutral on Shin Myung-Jun- he did both women (YH & JW) dirty and was an asshole for most of the drama, but his near-death experience literally turned his life around. He underwent a great redemption arc to me.

Generally, I think this drama was about identity, family, and I'd say finding your place in the world. Who you are and what you do creates your version/view of the world. We mainly followed Hwa-Kyung, a woman who just wanted a real family and a stable, "perfect" life. The architect of her spiral into greed and the root of all evil was her tyrannical grandfather, Oh Sang-Pil. Was Hwa-Kyung ambitious too? Yes. Was she justified in her actions? Debatable. Was there a reasoning behind them linked to her difficult childhood? Absolutely. And we can't ignore this detail. She was also rivals with her (adoptive) dad, Myung-Jun. Her "fake" family was toxic, and the only decent people she had in her life were Yeon-Hee, Ju-Won, and Woo-Jung. One of the other reasons why I dislike Woo-Jung is because she weaponized Hwa-Kyung's past against her- like, OF COURSE she'd end up betraying you and screwing you over later! 😭 Hwa-Kyung didn't need to reconnect with her biological father (who ABANDONED HER) if she didn't want, nor was she entitled to!

Now, contrast Hwa-Kyung's life with Woo-Jung's. Woo-Jung, the daughter of a successful news anchor... and she's a child out of wedlock. Myung-Jun's her dad who abandoned her before she was even born. Despite having no (current) father figure, she grew up happy, comfortable, and mostly stable. By default, she assumed that Hwa-Kyung's life was easy because she was rich and the granddaughter of a conglomerate chairman. Although it wasn't, and Hwa-Kyung presented things as such because of the immense pressure she was facing at home. There's some envy at play here, right? 🤔 I also feel like part of the reason why she pushed for Hwa-Kyung to reunite & make peace with her dying bio dad was to fill a void or attempt to make up for her (WJ's) own absent dad in *her* life. But I might be reading into this too much lol

Onto the brothers! Yoon Do-Bin and Jae-Bin! Do-Bin is the righteous, stubborn, and protective older brother. Jae-Bin, however, is the carefree, lovable, and easygoing younger brother. Do-Bin is a producer at MSTV, Jae-Bin is Ju-Won's manager. The Yoon brothers perfectly summarize the themes of identity and family. Do-Bin is secretly the grandson of Chairman Oh (though he remains unaware for a WHILE), while Jae-Bin is not. When Hwa-Kyung finds this out, what does she do? She switches their fates, and basically raises all hell on the Oh family after they try to kick her to the curb. Here, we see Jae-Bin's descent into villainy as Hwa-Kyung masterfully manipulates him for her own means, and he becomes a victim of her greed & lies. But he loves her. He truly, purely, does. And that's the tragic part. Do-Bin, on the other hand, embarks on a one-man mission to expose and take down Sang-Pil... even AFTER finding out that he's his grandson. The guy is incredibly brave for sure. What's amazing, is that even after getting betrayed and screwed over by everyone in his life, he never goes dark. He practices restraint and still chooses to accept, understand, and reach out to Jae-Bin- even when he's at his absolute worst. That's brotherly love... and it's beautiful to me. One of the best parts in the series to me. 🥹

I could go on, but I think I've illustrated my points very well. The music (especially the BGM) was really good, the directing was great (seriously, MBC daily dramas might have some of the best filming I've seen in daily dramas overall, along with tvN!), and the acting was good. If you like villain protagonists, enjoy questioning yourself sometimes, are really into business/thriller-based dramas, love schemes, set-ups, and cliffhangers that make you wanna rip out your own hair, and like morally grey characters, then this is for you. I personally recommend it and this is a daily drama I'd watch again, but only the best parts. Cut out all the filler, and it's WAY more engaging to watch. Onto another drama!

The horror aspects and the suspense were so good it wouldn't even matter if this wasn't a BL.

I have to admit, having seen way too many real crime investigations, at first I cringed... But the moment I told myself it wasn't about the accurency and just went with the flow, it got me hooked. And the supernatural aspect just blew my mind. The BL was there, and plenty of it, but could have been a bromance for all I care, because the storyline was so good it didn't need the BL to save it. The special effects were spot on. The acting was good. Asian supernatural creatures are just amazing, we Western people got werewolves, vampires and a few ghosts, but Asian culture has so much more depth, perfect for these kind of stories... The only thing I feel bad about is that I've never Rewatched crime series, because knowing the plot, knowing the end, is a bummer... So for me to say, I will definitely re-watch, indicates just how good this is.

atp I cannot stop thinking about how each of us are lab rats thrown into this messed up world

This plot is so complex that sometimes it can be hard for me to follow and keep up, but I still ate it up nonetheless. People in power will always find ways to screw you over, which reflects real life sadly. It does highlight how corrupt police systems can be. The public outcry moments were reasonable and I could imagine myself being absolutely tricked too. My mind was tricked and played dirty. I loved how the show set up the reveals. Once I reached a twist, I felt silly for not figuring it out before because it was right in front of me. I do not think it ever will be possible to live in a world without crime and corruption. Humans are the most despicable beings on this Earth, so it would be hard to do so. I wish people can get the justice they deserve. One can never judge a person my their cover, only by their true actions. <3
