Probably the worst C-Drama I've ever watched so far

First thing first. The only reason I started to watched this was simply because Johnny plays the main role in the show. He’s acting skill doesn’t disappoint, he was just good but there’s a lot of things that I don’t find interesting and it was quite ruin the fun of watching. The story seems like a corny and boring version of the hit Korean drama, Descendants of the Sun. The doctor and soldier relationship is a good significant foundation of a solid romance drama but the actors portraying the roles is not being even close to be called as an actor with “average acting skill.” The main girl acting is not consistent; I like her as a doctor but when she took off her hospital gown and started to act like a normal woman outside her professional field, she’s too nosy who loves to scream a lot. The way she acts cute was really annoying to both my eyes and ears.

There’s no something new from the show, overused cliché scenes that I already seen from other dramas. It was really boring that I can’t help but to fast forward the whole episode and watch it in a 1.5 speed. I feel like the soldiers in the show are being too sexist and too full of themselves who was overconfident just because they are man. There’s a certain scene where the main lead told the young boy (who I found an annoying brat too) that crying is not for the boys. The hell is wrong with a man crying? I already told that Johnny was the reason I watched this but his role isn’t something that I really like, even a bit, it was just not my cup-of-tea vibes to a person in general.

The cat! HAHAHA the one talking cat lmao. Another factor why the show is a joke for me, it’s so ridiculous to make a talking cat exist to a non-fantasy drama.

NO CHEMISTRY FROM THE MAIN COUPLE!! Being a romantic show, of course the viewer need to feel the butterflies interpreted from the story. On the other hand, I feel nothing but annoyance. Her ex-boyfriend has more interesting story than the couple in combo, and not to mention that the man portrayal of the role is actually clever, the way he acts really fits the role he was given.

I am super eager to drop this show for a long time but my personal pride keeps winning. I already told myself that no matter how bad the drama is, once I started to watch the first episode, I don’t have any other choice but to finish it until the end. Funny right? HAHA but that’s just me being firm with my own words and promises in life.

Decent drama

Pretty excited about this drama. Always love this kind of dislike to fall in love kind of story.

I think this is a decent drama. Is not like very good if you want watch just for the actor and actress is fine but if you want to compared it with other drama and this maybe abit waste of time.

I quite like the ML and FML, however the start of their relationship feel awkward and abit force into it. I don't know when they fall for each other. Though the guy did say that when i fall asleep beside you at the sofa i knew you belong with me something like that, i think thats when the guy fall for her but for the FML is abit blur when it happen. To me is kinda of like the ML take care of the FML then fall for him don't actually have a very strong reason of why they fall for each other. And the start when the FML say like "pew, forget whatever happen" is kinda of weird and funny especially she is like a doctor. As the relationship slowly grow it feel less forceful and i love how the FML first rejected the ML and being honest about her feelings for him. This is very real, in life you will think if this relationship can work and not a lot people have this courage to speak out their mind and being honest with their feelings. This is something that i think is nice to see in the drama as a lot of drama is the guy confess the girl will accept not much thinking in the process and good to educate people to have courage and be honest about your feelings and thinking.

As for MiGu this, she isn't stupid she knows that Zhou Ran is doing bad things is just that she love him so she don't tell anyone which is very stupid especially he is harming her friend shouldn't she protect her friend? It makes me feel like she is a very selfish person.

40 episodes is kinda of abit long for this drama feel abit draggy. The Tian Yong part really make me feel a bit too blood as how he was being beaten up.

At the end of the day this drama kind of make me understand communication is so important not saying in relationship. When MiGu found out things about Zhou Ran she kept it all to herself if she talk to Xia Chu about it less people being harm. I mean i understand this is to make the drama more full and nicer to watch.

Overall i think this drama is not that bad but recommend to someone who wants this watch this kind of doctor-soldier drama i won't recommended this drama.

Female Lead a Letdown

I started watching this because I have seen a few of the FL’s dramas and have enjoyed all them. Unfortunately, she was such a letdown in this drama. She overacted, acting over the top, and her portrayal of the character was so very childish, not childlike but childish. I wonder what she was thinking when she got the script and interpreted the character.
Thank goodness, the ML saved the day for me. I have to admit, I’m quite bias because Johnny Huang is one of my favourite actor. I think he carried the role of a professional soldier very well, very different from the role he played in Love Designer.
The other 2 arcs that I enjoyed and why I continued watching was Dr Zhang’s and Cheng Meng Zhen’s arc and Shao Xue’s and Tian Yong’s arc.
Shao Xue was very annoying in the beginning of the story but as the story progress and her character develops, I grew fond of her. I find her ending poignant and sweet.
A watchable drama overall.

quite disappointed in the storyline

●FIRST IMPRESSION
I was looking forward to this drama since it was announced but after completing am disappointed.
Military Medical, WOW. just by hearing this feels like would see amazing action and flawless medical cases. Initial episodes were fine building a good base for the drama. But then it went downhill.

●PLOT VIEW
It had a great scope but the poor writing and 40episode felt like I wasn’t enjoying but wishing it to end sooner. The story jumps between military and medical, as someone gets hurt gets treated in a hospital whereas medics go to military camps for health checkups of soldiers. The soldiers trained in special forces help outside the border but then being helps in a case of drug dealing for local police. Why make ML a special force soldier, it could have served the purpose with a good police officer role too. Am not degrading that they shouldn't work with local police but they should have got more chances to show their ability in the role of a military officer. Military drills were amazing, but since they were in special forces how could they have missed out on morse code. They should have written it better.
all the characters were going round and round and in the last two episodes, they rushed to catch the evil guys wow.
The writers made a character with an identity crisis and who should get all the hate, but they turn him miserable and psychotic. He was a master manipulator, stalker, drug dealer but caught up in his wickedness. He was a complex character badly written and badly acted. the dark-web plot could have been better, seems to be taken from "The Blue Whale Challenge" which had incited many suicides and stirred concern in many countries.
Leads went from cohabitation to fake relationships to real relationships having mature conversations and understanding each other priorities and passion. Parents and their never-ending worries were meh because we all know at the end they all will agree.
FL outshines every time in the medical zone. But then all the other doctors were written pathetically. they gave up on patients and before doing the treatment for no appropriate treatment available, let the guardians make the decisions. They were only there as a supporting cast making the FL look good.
The relationship between teacher and single mother was one of the heartwarming side stories. Although less screen time it stays in mind.

●ACTING/CAST
Johnny Huang as Liang Mu Ze was eye-pleasing in his military uniform. His muscle build body and sweaty forehead holding the guns tightly and moving like cats were breathtaking. He was the only reason for me to finish the drama. He had more actions than expressions on his part so the sad scenes were just in bits giving few tears.
Li Qin was Xia Chu, tbh she was good with the energy, running around to help the patients. Choosing to fight and do my best every time but her expressions were not impressive to me.
Yang Su as Migu, one of the dumbest person in the drama. How the hell she was a media person when she can't read between the line. Or say the blazing zhou ren aura blinded her in the first love case. Her storyline was maintaining the drama but the acting was meh.
Jiang Yuan as Liang Shao Xue was loud and crazy but she was impressive. Her sadness and craziness were balanced.

●MUSIC
Ost was good, thanks to translators for the translation of the lyrics it feels more meaningful and hearty.

●REWATCH
NO, the stories were in parts with no connection to each other. If I didn’t binge this I would have forgotten what happened earlier.

●APPRECIATION
In the latter half, many times leads were having the conversation of the importance and passion of uniform. Giving the message of patriotism and dedication towards works and duty whether you wearing a white coat or a green uniform.

●CRITICISM
There was less romance of leads.
bad storyline

●FAV SCENE
Parrot OK meets Shao Xue with wicked laughter.
First kiss of the leads

●QUOTES
Sometimes we couldn’t help reminiscing about those guys in white shirts who played basketball on the courts. however, it's just nostalgia. Life goes on no matter what- Xia Chu
Rather than being a smart ostrich, it is better to be a brave fool- Liang Mu Ze
Just because this man wears a police uniform, I had believed that he was invincible, who knew he would get exhausted too - Liang Shao Xue

●AFTERTHOUGHT
This drama showed military uniforms, medical uniforms, and police uniforms. All working passionately for the country and society making it a better and safe place to live. We should appreciate and thank them for their hard work who leave behind their family and loved ones to be in their UNIFORM

Not What I Expected. Love and Hate all at the same time.

At first, I was so hesitant to watch this drama because of its reviews. But because I get to watch a clip of its first episode, I decided to gave it a try. And I can say, it got me. The romance and the chemistry of the ML and FL was there. No doubt about that. It was the thing thay got me going, I even wondered how it got a lot of bad reviews when the lead couple are amazing. But then, I got to the episodes where it made me understand why. Well, this drama was a full package. It wasn't all just about romance. It got a lot of action scenes and medical scenes. So, if u don't like any of those, u can skip it. But I suggest don't. Why? Well, because it will made u understand why things got to happen. Just always remember, this is a drama. Not a romantic comedy or what's so ever that we can expect it would be a light story. This drama was indeed a drama. A little drastic to some characters I might say. So be ready for those scenes though I might say the romance will cover it up though if you would just be patient. Headsup, there are many scenes that would break your heart especially the last episodes. Yes, it broke my heart and made me cry why their are some good characters needed to die. I mean, I think those characters deserves a better ending than dying. Like, how could they kill a policeman before he can even see his child born? That was just very heartbreaking for me. But at the end, I tried to understand why they had to made those scenes. The last episodes really made me cry so please brace yourself. But there are a lot of lessons you will learn if only you would dig it. The ending? Well, I wasn't satisfied but the chemistry of thr ML and FL was great so I'll just let it go hahahsa. Overall, just give it a try and judge it only based on your own view. Forget the reviews and your expectations. Just enjoy and live with the story. I think you'll understand and enjoy it too. And maybe, you'll love and hate it like I do. Hahaha I hate that it was drastic. But I love how love was portrayed in this drama after all the pain and cruelty the characters experienced. So it's still a win-win drama.

Love between two adults

A very good story that showed how two people grew and fell in love with each other. Mature, adult relationship. No silly misunderstandings or drama for the sake of drama here. The secondary relationships, such as the one between the doctor and the widower was also well done. Quite a bit of justice was given to the careers of special forces and military doctors. I enjoyed the various arcs where the ML and FL had to resolve problems at their work. The action scenes were also well done, and gave excitement.

The failing aspects of this story lie in the way the villains are depicted. I am not able to resonate with the villains at all. They tried to add some depth to the villainous second male lead but either due to the bad writing or acting I was not able to get any of it. The drama tried to depict the female lead’s friend as someone imperfect with flaws but again, failed to get the viewers to like or even understand her.

Music was so so, nothing that I can remember now that I stopped watching.

I very much enjoyed the performance across the cast. Watch it if you enjoy watching adults find love while pursuing meaning and value filled lives!

Good story but with typical rushed ending

Quite enjoy the story because for the most parts of the drama, the story line was well thought of & there were character developments from the main roles as well as the supporting roles. Great acting from the main leads and some of the supporting characters too. I should say, the writer gave unique & distinct characters to every roles, and each casts portrayed their roles very well. Somehow when they gave the screen time to the supporting roles, it didn’t feel like a waste of time as I wanted to know their story too. The chemistry & romance between Xia Chu & Mu Ze were sweet and realistic. Quite a shame that such a good drama, again, has to have another rushed ending (I thought this one wouldn’t).

There were parts from Zhuo Ran, Old Master or Xia Chu that became repetitive, unnecessary or dragging on, Would be perfect if they replaced these parts to complete the ending, such as showing the meeting with Xia Chu’s parents, their career decisions, their wedding, or the police progress in fighting with the drug dealers. And REMOVE the part where they killed Tian Yong’s character! How could they sent a special force soldier with such a poorly planned under-cover mission. Literally, there was NO immediate action from the special force to come & save Tian Yong the moment he was captured. Shouldn’t this be the chance to send the special force troops to show what they’ve been training hard for? Anyway, it’s still a good drama to give a try to watch.

Military/medical drama

A great, highly bingeable drama. Our leads have amazing performances and both show growth through out the 40 eps. Only a 9 because this is really a 32 ep drama with lots of side plot filler with the 3 other love lines. That said, this is a military/medical drama with very little romance. They did that well. But if you come looking for love, it's hard to find- romantic love that is. Friendships, deep connection- plenty. Just the balance of it all was a little off. Still binged in 2 days- cause Johnny Huang! And the opening music rocked! (literally) Enjoy!

THE GOOD MILITARY AND MEDICAL COMBO ?

IAm pretty impressed with the story line and all the characters. ML and FML did a great job. There are 4 couples (correct me if iam wrong) and apart from main couple I liked the doctor and ML's sister-in-law, ML's sister and lutainent (he died). 2nd FML and our negativeML end up badly. 2 FML me gu kinda dumb and iam annoyed. And that cute cat ER MIAO is my fev pet cherry on top it was voiced. And the parrot 🦜. Overall the 1st half is good and 2nd half is ok. I don't recommend to reach it is big

I love Li Qin and she did really well with the character she played. Her acting skills are unbelievable. Johnny Huang did very well playing the opposite of actress Li Qin. I wanted to give this a 10 rating but the ending was not good enough for me... not saying it was a bad ending but it didn't go anywhere. That frustrated me, but the storyline in the beginning episodes brought tears and laughter to my heart. I love how they input Martial Arts with Johnny who really knows martial arts. I won't blast it because it is not how I wanted it to end. But I will give the actors and actresses their due for making this storyline work or try. I learned one thing and that is Li Qin can speak fluent English. Nie Zi Hao can play evil with his innocent looks.

I am apologizing for getting actresses mixed up. I am watching 6 dramas at the same time. Two of them have Bai Lu in them during my rewatch time or I was thinking of the new drama coming up with Dylan Wang and Bai Lu.

I loved the cast, the plot, the OST and even the attire.
She's a very beautiful girl, and he's a charming, protective and skilled boy.
I love the small gesture of protecting her with his body in the cramped space of the elevator, for example. A special forces man with action skills.

Scenes I remember and that made me skip a beat:
- The scene of him with a Sailor Moon-style duvet... legendary;
- she runs in the rain chasing the truck to tell him to come back safe and sound;
- when she says goodbye silently, knowing he's reading her lips, saying, "I'll wait for you at home" (an intimate gesture, even if they probably don't realize it at this time);
- when she stops him from hitting the criminal, and then unexpectedly, she's the one slapping the bad guy, telling him, "Don't touch my man."

Excellent balance between scenes of private life/military training and missions/hospital life, with a bit of mystery serving as a common thread.

The arrival of his cousin was truly a wonderful addition. A strong character like a stray bomb.

I forced myself to pick up the series from episode 34 onwards, after seeing this poor special ops soldier tortured and left to fend for himself. I was so afraid I'd see even more cruel things.

The award goes to the doctor's friend, the journalist, who lets herself be used like an idiot and lies, hiding evidence to cover up for her lover.

Regarding the heart transplant, I would have preferred if the doctor hadn't raised her hand to vote in favor. Even if she hesitated, it was like giving in to the villain who had achieved his goal. Even if the mother was not guilty, perhaps there was someone more deserving of receiving it.

Disappointing

Finished this show in 1-2 days mainly because I skipped a lot and if you wonder why do I still watch it, it's mainly because of Johnny (the male lead). I have always liked Johnny's acting and the chemistry he has with the female lead. However, this show was such a waste with both leads I really liked and has decent acting but given a bad story plot.

PROS:
- Pretty good action scenes
- ML and FL's character are decent/bearable (aka. not annoying leads)

CONS:
- 2nd ML's character was unbearable to watch (i am not sure if he is even the 2nd ML since he never liked FL in the first place)
- The whole love thing between the FL's best friend and 2nd ML was stupid and superficial to begin with.. i couldn't understand their romance at all....
- Never liked any other characters in the show and i don't fancy their romance either
- Little romance scenes between ML and FL which I anticipated a lot (could have saved the show more.....)
- Plot is illogical and went downhill after each episode

FINAL VERDICT: side characters and plot failed the show badly, wish they focused on main couple more. a show u can skip unless you are a big fan of johnny and liqin
