Running circles around each other
Okay I am going to break it down my couples. This show didn’t take long at all. I could actually get through it and eat and drink and not completely loose my appetite like it’s lovely parent drama, until we meet again. The average was an 8.8, but a bitch rounded down.Win + Team
These two have great chemistry with their 8 shows together. Uh I loved their dynamic. Win was getting on my nerves though. Teams crying and everything felt so real. Good couple and I am glad they got this necessary but also really unnecessary spin off.
Dean + Pharm
Glad these two still got some screen time in this one. It’s interesting to see a different side of their dynamic and stuff. Glad it focused on them but didn’t make the whole thing about them and what the first one was about. Love these two to bits.
Pruek + Manow
My favorite and only straight couple. The scene where Manow got spun around was actually the cutest thing ever I couldn’t. Pruek can do no wrong he is the biggest green flag ever and I am really glad he got her to open up to him and their dynamic is really cute and I’m glad they got more screen time.
Wan + Tul
I didn’t not even expect these mother fuckers to pull through but they did and more. He forgave him mad fast, but he is like I’m old bruh pickings are slim. And the way they looked at each other had me actually going crazy. And then the necessary tity sucking scene banger. Great couple needed slightly more screen time.
Bee + Prince
Our last lovely lovely couple. These two were cute. The actor who played Prince is actually such a cutie, I mean they all are really, but his beauty was definitely overlooked. The way he talked and held himself was just magnificent. Their little scene in bed was so cute and Prince coming to support his bae was so cute.
Great show with an even greater cast. I feel like they could have finished this sooner but who doesn’t love some sexual frustration and tension. Not even bad at all. Okay now I’m onto bed friends which I’m hype for.

WHEN ONE NIGHT STAND TURNS INTO LOVE
I had mixed feelings after the first episode of Between Us. It took me a bit to get into it, but I’m glad I stuck with it. This was actually my first time watching BounPrem, and I had no idea who they were before this, now they’re definitely one of my favorites! Their chemistry is undeniable and really makes the show. It’s a pretty typical BL drama set in a university, and the chemistry between the leads is great, but there’s one thing that kind of put me off: Team’s character. I get that he’s supposed to be younger than Win, but he came off as too immature for my taste. I only really see Win putting in the effort for their relationship, and it felt like Team wasn’t matching his energy. That made things a bit frustrating for me.
The series moves at a slow pace, which isn’t always a bad thing, but if you’re looking for something fast-paced, this might not be for you. The kissing and bed scenes, though? Super natural and comfortable, which I appreciated.
One of my favorite parts of the show was Win’s brother’s love story, it added a nice bit of excitement and drama. And BeePrince’s side story? Totally adorable. I just wish they had more screen time!
There are so many couples though, and sometimes it got overwhelming trying to keep up with all of them. It felt like too much at times.
Overall, it’s a solid BL with a few hiccups, but definitely worth watching for the chemistry and the sweet moments.

WinTeam for the win, but too many other relationships
As other reviews state, this show does lack a solid plot and storyline. Normally that would deter me from watching or finishing a show, but surprisingly, their relationship and the plot that it did have was enough to keep me hooked. One of the things I disliked the most about Until We Meet Again was that Pharm and Dean's relationship was so innocent they didn't even seem like they were dating. In Between Us, not only is there a strong sense of romantic tension, but also sexual tension, something UWMA lacked altogether. I found myself more invested in Win and Team's relationship than Pharm and Dean's.My first problem with this show is the fact that it was inconsistent with UWMA relationship-wise. The times where Team talks about Win in Between Us with Pharm and Manow did not exist in UWMA, so you only had a vague idea that Team liked Win until the end. Also, Manow and Pruek's relationship was not a thing in UWMA until the very end of the show, whereas in Between Us, it was developing the whole time. I enjoyed seeing more of Manow and Pruek's relationship, the timeline just didn't align with UWMA.
I also disliked the fact that there were five relationships. Bee and Prince's relationship, as well as Tul and Wan's relationship both felt unnecessary. The time they spent focusing on those two relationships could have been spent developing the other three. Of course we see a lot of Pharm and Dean in UWMA, but it would've been nice to see some different parts of their relationship that we didn't get to see before.
I would recommend watching this show and I can definitely see myself watching it again in the future.

Less is More
I originally started this drama when it came out and I was super underwhelmed so I put it on hold.. After coming back to it years later I’m still fairly underwhelmed by certain aspects but I really enjoyed Team and Win enough to finish.I could honestly rant about all the things I disliked but instead I’ll just say this that this drama would’ve been better if there were less side stories. I personally feel like Team and Win’s story had so much potential and it started off strong but the drama would’ve benefited more if it was shorter and the main/only focus was them. (The only semi interesting side couple was Wan and Tul and they barely got screen time.) I also didn’t enjoy how drawn out/forgotten the whole drowning arc was considering how important it was to Team’s character.
Ultimately this drama had a lot of weak points but the comedic moments and the chemistry between Team and Win helped. I also have a new love for Boun and Prem so it’s a win in my book!

Wasn't horrible but still disappointing.
A lot of fans were looking forward to this series and hyping the couple up so this being the result is just disappointing. It's not the worst BL series ever but it just didn't live up to the hype. Until We Meet Again was considered a classic because it introduced a new genre to the Thai BL world and showed that BL can be more than just romance. UWMA did such a good job at juggling the plot with both romance and mystery. Because of it, we got series like Manner of Death and KinnPorsche. So having this be the follow up? It's just not it.And I get it, they want it to be a separate story. They want something different from UWMA and this was supposed to be a fun, romance story like most BLs out there. That's the worst part though. The romance they're focusing on is NOT THERE. There's literally no tension between the characters. It honestly just feels like Win is taking care of Team as a brother and they see each other as siblings rather than romantic partners. Without the occasional kiss, you would not remember they were lovers. It does make sense that Team seeks a brotherly figure after his brother died.
Also doesn't help that they have this many side couples. They have 4 side couples. Meaning, we're watching 5 different love stories play out at the same time. This is just Waterboy all over again in that there's so many side couples that none of them are well done and there isn't enough for the audience to be attached to.
This is in no way on par with UWMA. It isn't even on par with other BL series that focuses on romance.

Kinda disspaointed.
So. I have been waiting for 2 years for this? I genuienly loved WinTeam in season one but in between us i honestly just started skipping their scenes at the end to get to the side couple scenes which there were not many.I feel like acting is not why the show was a disaster, bounprem did a goor job and their chemistry was good.
Now, my main issue with this series was. WinTeam's issue was so DRAGGED to the last episode, and so many of the episode just felt like filler. And their whole plot point was 'one problem' just repeating.
I saw one person mention WinTeam do not have enough plot for a whole 12 episodes, but honestly thats fine they could have just got more scenes of the side couples and voilà PROBLEM FIXED.
SIDE COUPLES: this is what im most upset about, they dragged on winteam's story line to the end but refused to give Prince/Bee and Waan/Tul and actual storyline and SCENES. THEY GAVE THEM FUCKING NOTHING
SPOILER:
in episode 11 i do feel, that the climax is good but what should have been a short car drive, turned out to be a whole PLANE FLIGHT. It was dragged on to the point i didn't even feel as much during the emotional confession.
POSITIVES:
Just view. I loved him. Scenes with him were SO GOOD.
The side couples were bomb, Prince/Bee and Waan/Tul esp. The last 👀 Waan Tul scene was SO GOOD. came out of nowhere but i was pleasantly surprised.

Loved it but some parts were wtf is going on
I generally loved a lot tof things about this drama, i loved WinTeam in UWMA so i was super excited for this series. I loved almost all parts of the storyline of WinTeam, DeanPharm felt very repetitive as ive already watched UWMA, enjoyed PhreukManow to an extent too. The other two couple felt unnecessary or unimportant for almost all the series, at least Tul and Waan storyline had a connection to hold on to but Bee and Prince storyline felt like it was thrown out of nowhere. Also some of the acting felt extremely cringe and unnatural from side characters. But for what it was WinTeam storyline was good and serious yet funny at times and would've loved if the story focused on them more rather than adding unnecessary pairing. Was this review helpful to you?
Too many couples
I started watching this knowing that there were like 5 couples in total. i already knew from the start that i simply wouldnt care about the others and exactly that happened. not one of the other couples striked my interest so i mostly even skiped through their parts. i honestly dont know why they decided to put so many couples in this, especially because team and win wouldve had enough story for a show alone. I understand that dean and pharm were in this simply because they were already in until we meet again and i really didnt mind their screentime but everything else just seemed too packed for my liking. i did tho really enjoy team and win they were already my favorite couple in uwma so i didnt expect anything else but yeah i kinda lost my joy watching because of the amount of characters and different plotlines they squeezed into this. But overall i enjoyed watching between usWas this review helpful to you?
A slightly different flavor of BL
I almost didn't watch this series because of a few negative comments, but I'm glad I didn't listen to them. I wasn't as into Until We Meet Again as other people seemed to be, but I waited for this series, because Team and Win seemed intriguing. By the end of episode 1, I was hooked.First of all, I have to commend the acting and chemistry of pretty much everyone in this series, because they're all more or less on equal level, with the leads being obvious standouts. I even find the side couples adorable. I have a soft spot for more femme guys like Prince, so I was able to look past some of the more awkward aspects of the writing in that sideplot. The commentary on actor lives and being gay in the industry was probably something many needed to hear, but it was a little on the nose. Still, him and Bee were really cute.
I like that the main romantic storyline isn't predictable and cheesy, but flows naturally with the personalities and insecurities of the characters. Their development is organic, starting as physical attraction, and coming to care for each other the more time they spend together, slowly getting over their fears of the painful sides of opening up to another person and learning to embrace each other. There were I few times I wasn't sure what the writers were trying to achieve, but it could've been down to the translation. Overall, I found the development satisfying and way more fun to watch than the usual "I'm putting off confessing my feeling because of reasons".
Most of the characters, to my surprise, felt genuinely queer, which a lot of BLs fail to achieve, or rather don't even try to achieve. Aside from a few moments where I thought "Was this written by a straight person?", most aspects of their identities and relationships felt realistic to queer experiences.
There are things that bugged me, like the roots of Win's hair being very inconsistent and some scenes feeling too long, but those were far and few in between, and all of it was easy enough to overlook. What also annoyed me was that even after they slept together multiple times and even started dating, Team would still be like "wtf are you doing" when Win got too close and initiated physical contact. I know it's a BL staple to have one character be forward and another shy, but seeing it so many times without a change in dynamic over time is tiring, and I hoped I wouldn't have to watch it again.
Overall, it was a way more enjoyable experience than I anticipated, and now I'm off to read fanfics about these characters cause I got attached.

I actually quite liked it, whoops
well, I quite enjoyed it. admittedly, I was kinda confused at first because I haven't seen until we meet again yet when I started this. I think it worked in my favour tho because I didn't have the hype factor as the other series. it wasn't like 'blow my socks off' amazing, but it made for an enjoyable journey throughout. the characters felt like actual people trying to figure themselves out and it was really sweet! so yeah, a pretty good time all around. I probably should've watched Until we meet again first to get all these loose ends tied up, but hey it is what it is.Was this review helpful to you?

Between Boun and Prem
First time reviewing a BL that didn’t air recently I was a little worried of applying today’s standards and expectations to it ("error of presentism"). However, once I realized that "Between Us" aired roughly the same time as "My School President" and a year after "Bad Buddy", I knew I could safely apply my current standards and expectations to it. After all, 2022 is not 2016. Having that out of the way: as far as I understand, this show is inspired by the Win-Team storyline outlined in "Until We Meet Again". Generally it is new/original content for that couple that – I assume – should match glimpses into their relationship the audience got in "Until We Meet Again". I haven’t watched "Until We Meet Again" and even if I did, I wouldn’t check whether plotlines of both couples – Dean-Pharm and Win-Team – do properly interlock between both shows. I’m reviewing "Between Us" mostly as a standalone show and should I watch and review "Until We Meet Again" I’ll maintain the same approach. The writing – as with most Thai BLs, both in 2022 and 2025 – isn’t the best.
Both main and side plotlines suffer from being generic (which on itself isn’t a problem) and there’s a lot of repetitiveness. Almost every episode main characters seem to be going full circle and returning to square one – and with little progression of their relationship the show drags on. I’ll blame it on the writer and her inability to write an intriguing and involving "slow burn" type of story.
Dialogues are bland, uninspired and often unnecessary (like stating the obvious or telling the audience something that should have been shown). Don’t get me wrong: there are meaningful and emotional exchanges, especially between Team and Win, there are examples of proper use of humor, banter and even sneer, but in general it sounds pretty mundane, like written by an early version of a chatbot.
What also surprised me was not the number of side characters – some of which were "inherited" from "Until We Meet Again" and sort of had to appear – but the number of side stories. Including a very rough outline of the Dean-Pharm was, to some extent, understandable and justified, but why were all the other side stories in this show? Did it really need all 4 (that’s four) side couples, and if so - why? Thanks to MDL I know that the writer of "Between Us" went on to co-write "We Are" and write (on her own, but basing on a novel by JittiRain) "Perfect 10 Liners", two shows suffering from the multiple couples syndrome, but did it begin here? Filling every paragraph of script with "couple content" and assuming that the more couples the better hardly is the correct way to do it, especially when the writing is bland and paper-thin. Was is done to fill the episodes with something besides Team and Win content? If so – what’s wrong with having 8 or 10 episodes instead of 12 or cutting all episodes to 45 minutes? Why not focus on the main couple and develop its story properly? There are other BL of similar length that have done it more than successfully – take "A Tale of 1000 Stars", which has one couple, a classic, nearly perfect "slow burn" buildup and more than enough content for 10 episodes.
What I liked about the writing was – despite of everything above – giving both Team and Win a proper background, revealed slowly and actually influencing what kind of persons they are, what they do, how they perceive the world (including themselves and each other) and what their relationship is like. While it may seem obvious that a script should include certain background elements for its main characters, this is often not the case – hence so many BL characters, including main ones, appear more like cardboard cutouts rather than actual humans. Not here, fortunately; both Team and Win are fully fledged characters. Team, in particular, is written like a proper multifaceted character, and this is the main reason why I’m not condemning the script of "Between Us" entirely.
As for performances, the situation is complex. With different writing I’d be inclined to say that most of the cast gave serviceable performances, but since 8 cast members were pushed from being conversation partners for main characters to being main characters in their own little side plots – one needs to include that. Ohm’s everlasting blank stare and Fluke’s permanently frightened expression – and the fact, that they stayed like that in almost every scene they were in – are signs of how poor their performances were. Sammy was annoying and difficult to watch while Bosston was just kind of there (Manow’s and Phreuk’s first encounter was cringy). Of the remaining side couples I was considering rooting for Prince and Bee, but there was too much of goofy, unfunny elements in Tae’s performance and something off-putting in Benz for me to actually do it.
Unsurprisingly, the only performances I was fond of were those of Prem and Boun – in that order. With very few exceptions, Prem did all of the heavy lifting here – and did a very good job. The multifaceted Team I mentioned before came to life thanks to Prem’s performance: Team the infantile teen, Team willing to go all in with a senior, Team trying to get a grip on himself after his first time, Team happy to eat everything around him, Team haunted by his past, drunk Team… Those and many more faces – all convincingly portrayed. An actual actor – more by talent and skill than by education or training – Prem stuck out every time he was in frame with someone else than Boun, outperforming the rest of the cast with ease. As for Boun, he had the "easy" job of portraying the nonchalant (but not cocky nor arrogant) senior – and that he did so effortlessly that one has to wonder whether he was acting or just being himself (judging from what he’s like behind the camera, during events, interviews etc. – yes, he was acting). But there’s more to the ethereal Win than that: a secret doubt, a vulnerability buried deep and hidden behind a façade of coolness – and Boun conveys it well. Together, Prem and Boun manage to make the often clunky dialogues sound good, doing the best with the material they got. Their efforts pay off and are by far the best part of the series, not just making it watchable, but making it actually worth watching. Where the script fails to create a true emotional progression, Prem and Boun do it themselves and end it with a powerful culmination in ep. 11. I cried with them during that long opening scene, filled with fear, love and sadness. Simply beautiful and very moving – a sure sign of true skill of both actors.
The soundtrack is rather average, with three songs receiving "official" MVs: "Your Smile" by Boun, "Unexpectedly" by O & Soodyacht and "It's Always You" by Prem. Out of the entire soundtrack it is that last song that stands out - not because of Prem's vocals (which aren't the strongest and get a lot of help from the music), but because is a good song and an even better love/BL song performed with full dedication. Out of all Prem songs - and I'm writing this with a 2025 perspective - "It's Always You" is the best and I added it to my permanent BL playlist.
"Between Us" is a tad like two shows: the BounPrem main event surrounded by a plethora of side stories. My advice: skip (or fast forward) the inferior C-plots and go directly for what Prem and Boun bring to the table – that’s the meat of the show, the real money, the BL gold.

Consent and communication are sexy: sweet BL romance handling well what could have been problematic
It could have been just a standard BL in a university setting but I found myself really impressed and entertained by the show. The main romance is beautifully simple, it checks all the usual boxes of a BL college drama but it is innovative in the way the main protagonists interact with each other with a lot of important conversations about consent, trauma, love and so on.The storytelling handles impressively well what could have come off as quite problematic if poorly done: the sex scenes includes consent checks in a natural way. The script is all about consensual relationship where the senior does not overtly subdue his junior in having sex with him: it is much more balanced than in most BL.
Still, the drama is not exempt of flaws: there are a bit too much of flashbacks, as well as too many secondary couples (4 in addition of the main one !) to manage to properly develop in a convincing way all the secondary relationships. Some are more interesting than others and it might have been better to focus only on the main couple and 1 or 2 additional romances.
I liked the ensemble cast, there was a lot of characters linked together in some way and the atmosphere felt really natural between them. The two main leads had a solid chemistry: whether it be in their crying scenes, or in the more sexy times, or in their funny banters...I was totally sold on their acting. My heart ached and rejoiced with them. I found so charming all the whining antics of Team and the adoring way Win was looking at him. The most rebellious is not the necessarily the one with the most piercings and tattoos... Some of the secondary role less central were a bit more average with quite a bit of over-acting but without undermining my entertainment.
I liked the OST, it was not standing out but nice. What I found really enjoyable was all the animal sound effects punctuating the conversations between the two main leads (kitty meow, lion roar,...): it was super cute and fun. Overall production was great, with some really lovely beach scenes. The super hot tattoos of one of the characters were entrancing and superbly highlighted by the filmmaking.
I would recommend this to people looking for a sweet BL romance which is constantly full of green flags with characters communicating with each other and having a nice evolution in their relationships. There are some dramatic elements to the plot but overall there are no major conflicts or non-sensical narrative choices: it is an healing love story wholesome and uplifting. I have not seen the parent story "Until We Meet Again" but I will likely give it a go after watching this drama already satisfying to me as a standalone.
