You definitely must watch it! Amazing storyline, acting, and combination of humor and love.
This series is a masterpiece :D. I like boyish humor so much. I returned back to the college to the period when I was with my friends-guys every day :D. There are plenty of funny scenes. I had a lot of fun with all the arguments, conflicts, rivalries, and provocations. The boys were a great group and the main couple was perfect. Pran (Nanon), the type who has to have everything arranged, stored, and orderly, goes everywhere on time. He is more serious, more introverted, responsible, hard-working, and a bit reserved, but easily provoked by Pat (Ohm) who is a bit of a brothel, more extroverted, has a lot of fun, talks a lot, laughs, likes to provoke and dig. They contrast nicely but sparks fly between them like on New Year's Eve. An excellent romantic line but not too sweet. It wasn't sweet talk like between a man and a woman, there was a touch of boyish humor here as well. It made it all the more real to me. They gradually built healthy relationships between two equal partners. The serious scenes were heart-wrenching (arguing parents who beat each other and their children, really?..what if they got along normally...would they end up just as friends? or would there be something more to it anyway?). And the already mentioned scene on the roof was breathtaking again. You have to watch it more than once. It's an emotional charge from both actors. The viewer will say that finally! and immediately he feels so heavy and sorry. Great contrast of emotions of both characters/actors. They waited several hours to shoot this scene because it was raining. They filmed it sometimes at 4 o'clock in the morning, which also affected their emotions. It's one of the top scenes from all the series I've seen so far. And to top it off, amazing music. oh, wow, wow. And one more tidbit. In the scene where Pran plays the guitar and sings for Pat at night on the beach, they couldn't see each other because there was a wall between them that they had to put up for lighting. Pat can only hear Pran. They both act out this scene based on their ideas of the other. ----------------- Edit: Seen again. Beautiful, wonderful. And the soundtrack is great. Director, actors, scenes, camera, editing, costumes. Everything excellent. A joy to watch. But I have to take a break so I don't get fed up with it :D. But I can't give up singing Nanon. Edit: seen 4 times. #I can't stop watching it! #OhmNanonWas this review helpful to you?
Bad Buddy: When Chemistry Becomes Art
I stumbled upon this series by accident while reading reviews for another drama on kisskh, where Bad Buddy was being praised to the skies. Of course, I couldn’t resist checking whether I had an overlooked gem right under my nose.It wasn’t a gem. It was a diamond — and Bad Buddy truly is one.
I sat down to watch with certain expectations. From bits and pieces of other reviews, I caught phrases like “Romeo and Juliet” and “Enemies to Friends to Lovers,” and those shaped what I anticipated from the series. While the drama didn’t quite follow that exact path, I can’t say I was disappointed — quite the opposite. The story is straightforward and uncomplicated, making it hard to mess up. Two sons of feuding families, raised from the start to hate and compete with each other. And yet, some invisible force kept pulling Pran and Pat together — overcoming not only the shadow of family rivalry but also the competition between their university faculties. It was truly heartwarming to watch Napat and Parakul, as if against the entire world, drawn to each other with a force as natural as breathing. Their relationship was genuinely beautiful, embodying the very essence of Boys Love — two boys falling in love. There were no “husband-and-wife” role divisions, no weakening one character to strengthen the other. They were natural and, most importantly, completely believable.
The casting? Absolutely perfect. Nanon and Ohm were nothing short of brilliant. It’s been a long time since I was so captivated by a performance as I was by theirs as a duo. Their dynamic, how perfectly they matched each other, their passion during the kissing scenes — simply sublime. I haven’t seen a BL pairing this convincing and this masterful in a long while. Every interaction felt purposeful; nothing was left hanging. Huge applause for these two — honestly, I’d clap for them for an hour straight if I could give them a standing ovation.
The supporting cast was equally solid. The Ink and Pa subplot was beautifully done — warm, comfortable, and charming. A well-executed yuri story is never a bad thing, and paired with the main male couple, it worked wonderfully.
Musically and visually — no complaints. The cinematography was pleasing, the soundtrack fit perfectly, and everything came together into a cozy, engaging series. The costume choices were spot on — Pat’s Hawaiian shirts were a highlight in themselves, and Pran’s fringe deserves special mention for adding a million charm points.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely, one million percent yes. I’ll definitely be coming back to this one more than once. This series is a true diamond — not 100% flawless, but still one of the best Thai BL dramas I’ve seen. It earns a solid 9.5/10.

One word- A masterpiece
Firstly, this drama lives in my heart, mostly because the story, the direction, and execution is flawless. More so, I had watched it in my dark times, waiting each week for this one was like a silver lining for me. Also, I have read the book. There is lot I can say about this one, and endlessly so. But, let's point out some:
1. Star cast- P'Ohm and P'Nanon literally lived the characters. The fact they were real-life friends, and the fact that they amazing actors shows in each minute of the series- especially since this is the first BL of P'Nanon. The side characters, they will put you in dilemma of who to love more.
2. The story- This is topmost series for me, where other adaptions can be compares to the book, maybe equally or less amazing. But this one, noting that it is very loosely based on the book, it is something that takes the book to another top level. Both the book and series are incomparable and priceless.
3. The direction- What do I say? The way scenes are written, the way they are portrayed, is seen in the delivery of the actors. Also, each episode ends on a mind-blowing cliffhanger. Like what!
4. The music- Beautiful songs that literally mean Pat and Pran's story, songs that are forever in all my playlists- Just friends, Our song, Same page. Another thing I noted, every emotional scene has a light, calm music, similar to the music you listen for good sleep, recorded at specific Hz.
5. Unforgettable scenes- I have seen many series, but there are some that you kind of link with. You just know how to read between the lines. I guess this series is that for me. There are many legendary scenes in this drama, and I can watch them on repeat for my life- All rooftop scenes (especially the kiss), the confession at the college, their playful push and pull game, their flirting. Most of all, the series slaps 2 BL tropes right in its face.
Also, Pat, my baby boy. I love 3 scenes where I can see the love Pran has for him-right in his eyes, like "What do I do of this fool?" First, the rooftop kiss, then college bench scene, and then the scene where they speak in red uniform.
6. Pat and Pran- The characters are beautiful. But not among those where you go, "This happens only in dramas". Though the background of the story might be little unrealistic, but these 2 characters are greenest flags. For me, the epitome of ideal relationship. The fact that the characters understand each other, acknowledge, accept, respect each other is the backbone of their relationship- A clear message for life.
7. The end- The message that they gave in the laat episodes, and the way the main couple lives up to it, is something that always makes me think- "this is how you make it work". Though many may not agree to what they do, but they chose to do it, without any regrets at any point. Maybe, even they might have had quarrels, but again point 5 above speaks a lot for this. I remember what Pran says to Pat in last of episode 8.
This one is my go to drama-always.

This BL changed me.
I honestly have to say that this is the best BL I have ever watched. They made me have high standards for BL ever since I watched them. Even though the story is the classic "enemies to lovers," Ohm and Nanon turned it into a masterpiece. They are the only ones who never made me feel uncomfortable or cringe at all. If u are thinking of watching it it is a MUST, especially when at first I kinda avoided it because of the name and the poster, but believe me, it is so worth watching. You can see in the series that the emotions are real. It feels like they naturally act without a script. And I really like the way they portrayed the parents just accepting it in their own way. I loved Ink and Pa's relationship too!I kinda wish the actors were still friends but at least I'm going to be happy with the masterpiece they made.

Watch and spiral
I don't have much to say other than it was amazing.Patpran feel so alive, and the way their relationship developed felt REAL and natural. It didn’t feel rushed and it wasn’t dragged out either. Most of the show is them actually together without unnecessary drama to push the storyline forward or create tension, and I appreciate that sooo much.
When I watched it the first time, Ill be honest, I didn't really like it. I found it slow at times and too long and oh boy I wish I could go back and yell at my past self. It's /so/ good, and ill forever hold it in my heart *sob*. Watch it I beg.

Great For a One-Off OhmNanon Series
I’m glad this is a one-off ship of OhmNanon. Fight me on this but I think Nanon ruined Ohm for BL. For Nanon, this was just a stepping stone for him to get more straight roles as exhibited by his work that followed. He has said that he only took this role to add BL to his repertoire. Following this, some said Ohm said he will not longer do any more BL. I hope this isn’t true now that they are on the outs and Ohm has been hanging out with a lot of the BL boys of GMMTV lately with the LOL Fanfest. I mean, if Pond wasn’t in Dirty Laundry, I would’ve not watch Nanon’s lead role series. It speaks volume of Nanon as an actor when he does this kind of series and Ohm went to do 10 Ticket and Double Savage. I know Nanon is one of GMMTV favorite but I don’t get it. Ohm is a vastly superior actor. Nanon should stick to singing as it seems to be his thing. As a BL fan, I must say that Thai school BLs have never been my cup of tea, often seeming to target schoolgirls and childlike adults with their magical rainbows and unicorns. However, I was pleasantly surprised with "Bad Buddy" as it veered away from the typical high school setting and took place in a university. It presented a compelling Romeo and Juliet-esque tale of star-crossed lovers from rival families.
From a young age, Pran and Pat's families had an intense rivalry, competing in every aspect of life. Naturally, this rivalry extended to their sons, making them rivals as well. But as fate would have it, despite the familial animosity, they grew tired of the constant tension and eventually became close friends. Their friendship blossomed, but due to their families' feud, they had to keep it a secret. After parting ways during high school, fate reunites them when they enter the same university and end up living in the same dorm with rooms across from each other. As they reignited their friendship, they discovered there was more to their feelings this time around. The series beautifully portrays their journey of self-discovery and first love, while navigating the challenges posed not only by their parents' rivalry but also by the rivalry between their university faculties.
The development of their relationship was far from glossed-over magic, as we often see in Thai school BLs. Instead, "Bad Buddy" took the time to build a genuine connection between the characters. As the story unfolds, they unearth the real reasons behind the family feud and face parental opposition to their relationship. In a bold move, Pat and Pran decide to run away together to explore their feelings. It is during their time away that they truly fall in love and solidify their relationship. Upon returning home, they face the consequences of their actions and work to gain acceptance with their families with the support of their friends.
"Bad Buddy" offered a unique and refreshing storyline, which sets it apart from many Thai school BLs that often portray the magical instant attraction between two boys without much development. It truly delivered on the emotional journey and didn't rely on clichéd tropes. This series has become a personal favorite of mine, as it demonstrates that BL can be much more than just fluffy romance, but rather a compelling and heartwarming tale of growth and love.

Unforgettable, Undeniable, Unmissable: Bad Buddy
Bad Buddy is one of the most special series I’ve ever watched. It wasn’t just a show — it was an emotional journey that touched my heart in every single scene. The chemistry between Pat and Pran felt so real, so genuine, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. Their love, friendship, stubbornness, and heartbreak… every emotion was portrayed in the purest way. This isn’t just a BL; it’s a story filled with powerful messages about family pressure, identity, friendship, and love. The acting, the soundtrack, the direction — everything was flawless. There were scenes that made me laugh, cry, and just sit in silence, feeling everything. Before you start watching, prepare your heart — because once you’ve seen Bad Buddy, nothing feels the same. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone; Bad Buddy is truly a masterpiece. Was this review helpful to you?

Truly the best romance in the world!
Romeo and Juliet meets West Side Story meets the best romance I’ve ever watched, possibly the best romance that has ever been made? Nanon is such a good actor in this I will never shut up about it. The way he cries before they run away together. How tired he is when they are on the roof together and Pat keeps insinuating that he maybe likes him and he’s just like please don’t do this to me. The “do you want us to be friends?” “No”. The bet to see who falls in love first when they are both so clearly already in love? The healthiest couple to ever be featured in a Thai bl? The inevitability of it all? The fact that they keep being told to be enemies in every scenario all through their lives just to always find that they enjoy each others company. That they are friends. The way they find out they can’t be enemies but they don’t want to be friends. The fact that Pran has been waiting for this for such a long time, and Pat just discovered it and immediately had to do something about it. The way destiny keeps pulling them together, born to be roomates/neighbours. How can this not be the best modern love story? How can you not cry when the last episode starts the way it starts? How can you love any series more than this when it is truly the most beautiful portrait of young love! Think of that one scene in the montage of them trying to see who falls in love first where they just quickly hold hands on the bus stop! When they hold hands behind Pats sister! When his sister is trying to come in the room and they won’t open the door cause they just keep kissing each other! How Pat just gives up on this stupid game so easily! Climbing on roofs to get to each others houses? It’s so good everyone should watch this. Was this review helpful to you?
