The side couple save the series
I started it with low expectations.First of all: if you want a a story of healing and surviving bullying, it isn't for you . If you want a rom-sitcom it maybe.
I wanted to watch it for Neo, I loved his performance in Tonhon chonlatee, and I also didn't like Phuwin's performance in the past so I wanted to confirm it (I really liked his performance here, Pee is a cute little bean and he did it good).
It take me around 4 months to finish, especially cause around ep 7, i skipped all but the Duean and Meen scenes till the end. After watch their story the series lost the interest for me.
As the title say, the side couple is a sight for sore eyes: They are fresh, fun and sweet.
Instead, the main couple, it's a case: while Pee is a cute injured baby that anyone could empathize with, Mork is an annoying mess who basically obtained information about Pee by concealing his identity and used it to win him over. Pee deserves better.

Everyone should know that this series is actually cute and funny at the same time!
I admit... for some reason why most people don't like the way Mork approaches Pi, and how he manipulates him to get Pi to come out of their relationship. But for some reason about the Pi, I don't agree with that. C'mon, if I were Pi, it would be hard. When your friends approach you just because your brother is handsome, then they often use you for their own benefit– of course he'll feel insecure. It's reasonable. And I'm sure at a time like that, he'll also feel insecure about his love. However, once he feels "confident" to pursue his love, I think one of the factors is because his crush is a good person like Mueng Nan. So he believed at least he wouldn't get any bad treatment from Mueng Nan. That's how Pi got the courage to start approaching him.Actually this story would be simple if at that time Mork gave Pi the umbrella instead of Mueng Nan. But if that happened, the story would be too short, I guess. And as for Bam's appearance, seriously that's pretty cliché. When a story gives rise to a plot twist, female leads suddenly come to tear the story apart. This is a very common conflict in a story.
Mork is suspicious here. If he had the guts to approach Pi, why not from the start before Mueng Nan offered Pi an umbrella? Should he be provoked first? And the way he approaches Pi, to be honest it's a little scary. Like a stalker. But it must be admitted in some scenes he looks sweet and charming. His intentions are sincere to love Pi, but the way is wrong. Pond's acting here is also better, he looks cool in every move. His deep voice adds to the perfect side of Mork. I really like his deep voice <3
But, seriously, isn't anyone talking about how good the soundtracks are in this series? Just listening to it can blow you away!!! Louis and Mix's voices were soft and soothing.
Overall, I can recommend Fish Upon the Sky to watch if you're looking for a series that full of comedy and sweet romance!

Was this review helpful to you?
MorkPi ship situation made me both happy and mad
I think this is the funniest BL series I have watched up to date! The dramatics played into the comedic aspect a lot as well, and it was enjoyable to watch. I do admit it felt a bit too much at times, but at the same time, I didn’t really mind it. The plot is your basic love triangle (maybe love square), ugly duckling, university story. There are no major surprises about that, but I am someone who does not mind a well-done cliché. Even if I have seen the same plot about a thousand times before.I really loved the Kitty Gang. They were absolutely amazing! The way they adopted Pi into their group, no questions asked. They were incredibly supportive of each other, mandatory teasing and playful competitiveness included, and how non-judgmental they were. Also, yay for James (Satang) having his nails painted black. Might be just me, but I find nail polish on men (black or not) extremely attractive. And I don’t think I have seen this in other series. I would know if I did, it’s one of the first things I notice about a person.
I think one the best characters was Mueang Nan. I love it when characters (and people) don’t give others false hope. You don’t have to sugarcoat things and leave the other one hoping for a chance. If you know you do not like someone, you are not being rude by saying so – politely and respectfully. Which is what he did.
Duean & Meen: dare I say I liked this side couple more than the actual couple? I really liked how their story was added in almost as a separate series with a special narrator and making the screen smaller when it was about them. I like how their relationship developed, especially with Duean being 4-5 years older and referring to Meen as a kid when things got a bit wild. When you love someone, you want to change yourself and not them. I feel like truer words couldn’t be spoken for this pair, especially for Duean.
Mork & Pi: I can really understand Pi and his reluctance to be in a public relationship with Mork. He is used to never being good enough, never being fully accepted for who he is. He expresses this fear of not being good enough, of not being strong enough to deal with the public in the series as well. I must admit that Mork is a character I do not like very much. He never really stood up for Pi, and no matter how much he was saying he understands Pi and his emotions, he was constantly putting pressure on him. And I feel like whenever Pi expressed his worries, he was never taken seriously by Mork, which did not sit well with me. Also, Mork was extremely pushy when it came to him wanting a relationship with Pi. And while this is an extremely popular trope in stories, it is kind of obsessive and stalker-like behavior that should not be encouraged.
This whole MorkPi situation brings me to something I am both happy and mad about – the shipping in the series. I think it is incredibly important that we saw how shipping can affect someone, how unsafe it can make them feel. I was really impressed with Pi being assertive enough to be able to say that out loud. However, I was less than impressed with how the situation was handled going forward. The shipping didn’t stop, it just kind of spread to different pairings with the shippers not learning a single thing about it. Even if one of them showed understanding towards Pi’s concerns, the understanding didn’t seem to last long. Even worse was the fact that Mork completely ignored Pi’s uneasiness on the topic.

Very fun and entertaining despite bad reviews! Must watch!
I was hesitant to watch this because of the rating/comments, but I was pleasantly surprised! This entire show was extremely fun to watch with no lack of comical elements that made me laugh so hard (cough duen cough). I came here after watching Never Let Me Go with PondPhuwin, and I found them to be a really fun couple here too! My only problem with this show would be that Mork was a bit problematic with how he handled the situation and cannot seem to understand the concept of "No". But, in other ways, he was extremely sweet and supportive so it's a good watch as long as you don't think too deeply about each character's actions. Also, Bam with the whole "jealous not really girlfriend" trope felt so unnecessary and rushed with the final episodes, but that wouldn't be a deal breaker. Overall, my final verdict would be this is an extremely fun and entertaining series that I would recommend everyone to watch! Was this review helpful to you?

Funny and sweet
I was trying to avoid the GMM TV shows because they are so ridiculous in terms of how they treat actors. The amount of fanservice disgusts me, so when I decided to watch FUTS, I was open-minded to a mediocre script and not letting the actors develop their skills... With that in mind, I was able to enjoy the show.
It was even fun the fourth wall. I'm suspicious of commenting as I love it when they break the fourth wall (but you have to know how to use this).
Mix's character was cute. Sometimes he reminded me of Tian before he became a teacher.
The main couple have good chemistry. And the secondary couple, I thought they shouldn't have become a couple. They would be better off if they remained friends.
So the fact that they had to "create drama" for contractual reasons really let me down. You can clearly see that they were forced to include a drama as they left it to the last episode and it lasted half a second. Completely unnecessary.
MockPi gave me diabetes. They were so sweet.
Overall, the show is really cute for anyone who wants to relax and have fun. I really like Aof and I was very happy to see him doing a show as a producer. I believe that being well regarded and recognized by the company gives him the chance to be creative and take risks.

we all *secretly* wish for a love like theirs
discovering phuwin & pond's chemistry is the best thing i've ever done this year. thi drama made me giggle and swing my feet. when you think things can't get funnier, they GET funnier! i've been waiting for years for a drama that would be as sweet as funny, with a real story behind (not being funny to be funny, kwim), guess i found it :) whoever created neo's character needs a raise! that duen is funny as hell (without even trying).i also loved how nan (mix) carried the whole show even though he was on screen for like 10 minutes total. without him, God knows how long it would've taken for pi to realise he's deeply in love with mork ?? we shall also notice mork's persistence, he never gave up on pi even though pi wasn't easy on him. they fell for each other at the very beginning, without even noticing :)
they (all) made me giggle, burst out laughing, cry, realise i've never been more single. would 100% recommend! the only thing that stopped me from putting a 10 is the music that (sometimes) doesn't fit the mood, and some scenes where you can clearly see/sense the discomfort of some actors (mostly phuwin's tbh). otherwise, would 100% recommend :)
on my way to rewatch it 🫡

A Recommended Watch! With a few expectation adjustments necessary...
Fish Upon the Sky is definitely entertaining and makes for an easy watch if you’re already well-versed in the BL universe. I picked it up after binge-watching other series featuring Phuwin and Pond, and since this was the last on my list, I wasn’t sure what to expect. While it isn’t my favorite show they’ve starred in, I still enjoyed it overall. The main storyline is lighthearted, funny, and engaging, perfect for unwinding after a long day. That said, much of the romantic tension felt incredibly forced and overly cheesy. I expect a certain amount of dramatics in this genre, but this show really leaned into it. For example, there are scenes where Phuwin’s character “slips” into a slow-motion gaze repeatedly back-to-back several times. Instead of feeling swept up in the romance, I found myself laughing and cringing in a way that pulled me out of the moment.
Interestingly, the secondary storyline often felt stronger than the main couple’s arc, which was a bit odd. Production choices and exaggerated dynamics hurt the show’s impact at times. Personally, I also struggled with how extreme the enemies-to-lovers trope was taken. It crossed into toxic territory that felt emotionally triggering. While watching, I kept thinking, “Red flag. Escape. Run. Break up.” Of course, BL often thrives on heightened drama, but here it sometimes tipped from entertaining into uncomfortable.
That said, the show still has its charm. There are plenty of sweet moments, genuine laughs, and lighthearted scenes that keep it watchable. Overall, I’d recommend this series as an easy, fun series if you go in with adjusted expectations and don’t mind a heavy dose of cheese.

Almost perfect
Firstly, let me say, if anyone lets social media rule their life this much, is best you don't be on social media. The level of cyber bullying that was never addressed is ridiculous. Lets not even get started on the stalking that was displayed from those fan fiction page owners (affectionately called "Shippers"), why weren't they charged? nor beaten even just a bit for being so atrocious.Something I really loved about this story is how he loved him even before he changed. All of the random photos he had of him before his "make over" made his love real. They had romance and mystery, with the introduction of "a guy from a nearby faculty" (might be the wrong name, but you'll figure it out), His introduction as the only friend to Pi was brilliant to me, because of the complexity and dedication it brought to the main character in the story of their love. The main and sub characters had such great chemistry together, appearing to really be a band of old friends that grew up together. Pi and Duean had one of the best brothers relationship I have seen in a BL. They were perfect siblings, supporting and caring for each other in literally all aspects. Their parents also had a good relationship with their children, accepting them for who they are and never seeming to be judgemental of their decisions.
The brilliance of fighting for a love just to avoid who you really love played off quite well, as it was explained to not just be an emotional or mental thing to be in love, but a physical thing... get your mind out of the gutter... the only physical thing they have in this show is the checking of each others heart rate. I love a show that doesn't depict every BL relationship as being simply about sex because we like each other. The playful interaction between the main couple and the side couple, which just happens to be another set of brothers, was really sweet.
They also tackled some serious issues of "No means no" and "I can't help but be me" adding to the authenticity of the characters. They didn't just switch-up who they are, they realised mistakes, took responsibilities and made amends. They literally took the effects of cyberbullying and had the main character overcome it and while he didn't need to change his look to make that boy love him, it was amazing to see how much he overcame. Topped off only with the fact that in the end he embraced his old self marking his final bit of growth in acceptance of himself. Proving that we should never be ashamed of where we came from because it shows how much we have grown.

Why is it always about the toxic BL shippers?
I recently finished this, and I migrated here mainly for Louis and Neo who is in another drama I'm currently watching. I wanted to see their dynamic in another drama besides The Eclipse. However, I kind of fell in love initially with Mork and Pi. I liked the idea of where the story was trying to go, and the fact that Mork liked Pi even before he had "changed" himself just to get Nan to like him or fit in.However, I feel like the story started to fall flat when you added in the shippers. I understood that it was probably trying to portray Pi being uncomfortable with the invasive shippers and that's why he didn't want their relationship public yet, because why on earth do you have to confirm your relationship with other people? It shouldn't matter, and I felt like this started to become the focal point of the show towards the middle and end.
Also, I ABSOLUTELY HATE HATE that they decided to make Bam the villain. It was so weird especially when it seemed like he was routing for them, and then to turn around just to break up the main couple and it didn't work in her favor? What was up with that? Why couldn't there just be a nice female/male friendship without the added stress of having feelings? Like why would she help just to turn around to tear it down again? It was really weird and toxic.
My thoughts on Duean and Meen...I don't know it was a lot of plot holes, and I hated that Meen was always perceived as naive and childlike. Maybe that was the purpose of it, but it also just seem like Meen was supposed to be stupid, and he's not. Like he figured out who Duean actually was, and he just kept up with the lying. It just didn't make any sense. However, I did like the happy ending with them, but still a little way off base.

One of the Best BL Series
One of the beat BL Series that I have watched. After each episode, you will definitely look forward and be excited for the next episode. Though the International Fans have a slight problem with #GMMTV. The English Subtitles is not available during the episode premiere. Just like the Episode 7, the English Subtitles was published 19 hours after the premiere. But over-all, this series so far is as good as Sotus. We all cannot deny the fact that if the BL Series is not as good as Sotus , we cannot described it as one of the best. 😀Was this review helpful to you?
